Psalm 20
1 May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble! May the name of the God of Jacob protect you!
2 May he send you help from the sanctuary and give you support from Zion!
3 May he remember all your offerings and regard with favor your burnt sacrifices! Selah
4 May he grant you your heart's desire and fulfill all your plans!
5 May we shout for joy over your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners!
May the LORD fulfill all your petitions!
Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. 7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. 8 They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright. 9 O LORD, save the king! May he answer us when we call.
Our Jesus had many unpleasant moments in the midst of Life Jesus told us, with all His Goodness, was Joy.
John 14:12
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father
We spend time wondering when we encounter John 14:12 what we would see. And in knowing Jesus is God, believe with all good purpose - Jesus was incorrect. I believe Jesus is telling us - when we know someone miraculously is cancer free - Jesus has been at work. When a child grows a leg 4" to be able to walk for the first time from prayer - we know Jesus has been at work. When the brain damaged recover - we know Jesus has been at work. The Miracles of God.
Jesus is at work - and we have gathered to ask Him in hopeful prayer. Jesus is pleased. I believe John 14:12 is Jesus being gracious to those who love, honor and worship the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It would be impossible to create a solar system, gravity, water molecules creating vapor, liquid and solid. It would be impossible to create soil without the tools God gives us. It would be impossible for Life to form without God. How could we see greater than God? I believe this is Jesus being gracious to us - the Children of God who pray with Hope.
Jesus created Love, Joy and Peace daily. He did this with one God given tool. He trusted God and moved without fear. Jesus lived daily with Faith.
Jesus took the incredible wind, wave and storm of the Sea of Galilee and made calm. When days may come, the decision is to Trust God. To love God. In the storm - the answer is to believe God. To be who we are. To answer sincerely and with empathy. Because of Jesus and His Gift of Salvation - Believing doing our best with all of His Holy Spirit is pleasing to God daily. Trusting God to carry us forth - bought with the Price of God's Son. Believing in the Name of Jesus. Doing His will.
Abba, Holy Father in Heaven,
You have given us Jesus who Loves us.
In turbulent life, when events move swiftly near us, help us to see You first. Ask You first. Rely on You.
When decisions are needed, Grant us Your Help. Let us always move swiftly to Love. To be in Your Mercy. There is no Victory without Jesus and Your Amazing Love.
Daily life moves routinely, with Jesus we will nurture our Faith to be in Your Word and in prayer to You, Father God. To make Sunday holy in Your House. We surround those we Love in Prayer. Lifting up our concerns with Hope. Asking for Your Love to the people You have given us. Covering the place we live, to our Nation and the Nations trusting in You. Covering us who believe in Jesus with Your Name and Love.
In Jesus was ask for more of the Holy Spirit and more of Heaven on earth. In Jesus, Amen
