Hebrews 5 ~ Jesus became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey Him

Papyrus 46 is a collection of 104 pages of early Scripture from the late first or early second century - depending on the way it's punctuated. The collection, shown Hebrews 5 above, has similarities to other Scripture the reader wanted to be close to.

Hebrews 5

For every high priest chosen from among men is appointed to act on behalf of men in relation to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. 2 He can deal gently with the ignorant and wayward, since he himself is beset with weakness. 3 Because of this he is obligated to offer sacrifice for his own sins just as he does for those of the people. 4 And no one takes this honor for himself, but only when called by God, just as Aaron was.

5 So also Christ did not exalt himself to be made a high priest, but was appointed by him who said to him,

“You are my Son,
today I have begotten you”;

6 as he says also in another place,

“You are a priest forever,
after the order of Melchizedek.”

7 In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. 8 Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered. 9 And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him, 10 being designated by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.

11 About this we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. 12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, 13 for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child.

14 But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.

1 Thessalonians 2

3 For the appeal we make does not spring from error or impure motives, nor are we trying to trick you. 4 On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts. 5 You know we never used flattery, nor did we put on a mask to cover up greed—God is our witness. 6 We were not looking for praise from people, not from you or anyone else, even though as apostles of Christ we could have asserted our authority. 7 Instead, we were like young children among you.

Similar to the milk in Hebrews 5 above.. Here new Christians are spoken of - this is a journey. Milk seems harsh, and yet is a request to grow up and go forth.

2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction.

1 Thessalonians 2

Just as a nursing mother cares for her children, 8 so we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well. 9 Surely you remember, brothers and sisters, our toil and hardship; we worked night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone while we preached the gospel of God to you. 10 You are witnesses, and so is God, of how holy, righteous and blameless we were among you who believed. 11 For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, 12
encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory.

13 And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.

14 For you, brothers and sisters, became imitators of God’s churches in Judea, which are in Christ Jesus: You suffered from your own people the same things those churches

Papyrus 46 was entrusted to someone who took great care of the 104 Chapters of Scripture Papyrus. God entrusted that person wisely. And in this care, 1800 year old Scripture is in flawless condition for this age.Telling us - Scripture goes back to the time of Jesus' natural lifespan. Enabling us to see this as a seamlessly woven robe in time sequence.

A Word so true - we would reach for His hem - to be made whole.

Seamless Scripture helps us to recall what the Prophet Joel told us in Chapter 3.

We are all headed to God's Mansion of many rooms. Multitudes and multitudes will arrive where every knee will bow to Jesus Christ - God's Son.

We will be asked how are you caring for what is entrusted to you.

We would want to do what Jesus teaches us.

To deal gently
Not exalt ourselves
Offer prayer for the people entrusted to you
Obey God
To work to listen
Know the basic principals of God, the Word of Righteousness
Discernment of good and evil

Not to lead in error or impurity or any attempt to deceive
Please God who tests our hearts
Not flattery, or a pretext for greed
Like a nursing mother taking care of her own children.
A father with his children, we exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you To walk in a manner worthy of God
Tell them who calls you into His own Kingdom and Glory.
Accept the Word of God, which is at work in you believers
Endeavored the more eagerly and with great desire
To see you you are our hope, glory and joy.

I have a good true Texas story for you. A huge Church had a roster of a few people who were allowed to be Assistants to the Service of God. Attendance in the summer was iffy. And a new "High Priest" arrived, if you will. The new Priest was discouraged to learn of the small number of assistants. And learned more did - indeed  -want to be of service.

In an effort Jesus would applaud, the new Priest called for banners, new Huge bibles, things to polish, even streamers on poles. And the Priest stood to greet people as they left the Church Service - of all the people the Priest asked - if they would help proceed into the Church - none refused. Church attendance didn't flag. Forgive the pun. And people could be heard explaining in the large hallways - of course - they would be attending - they had to carry their banner - their huge Bible - their flag - their streamers into the Church.

We all want God to entrust us!

Isaiah 6:8
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"

And I said, "Here am I. Send me!!!"

We just need to remember at our Homecoming - God will ask us - did we care for what was entrusted to us?

What we long to hear Father God say is:

"Beloved, Child, Well done! I have run to meet you!!! Welcome Home!"

Thank You, Father GOD, we are five pounds of soul.
When our brain no longer functions,
when our breathe departs,
when the plans of our mind perish,
You have ensured we are really an eternal Soul.
We will live believing, praising, telling Father God "Thank You, I have my being."

Mankind and all the Glories You have given us there, will not save us in wisdom.

We are blessed and privileged to call upon Jesus saving and helping us.

Lord God with only Your Word,
You established the stars and heavens.
Your Word calls the earth, the sea,
and all of your Creation - Good.

You alone, Father God, are to be believed to be forever.
You keep faith in us as we trust in You
Your throne is Justice, Splendor, Majesty,
Strength and Beauty before You.

Blessed are we whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the Lord our God,

The Lord and His Word sets us free;
the Lord opens ours eyes again.
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
The Lord ends suffering.
the Lord Loves the righteous.
The Lord watches over the sojourners of this life;
The Lord upholds the widow and the fatherless,
and the way of the wicked You bring to nothing.

The Lord Will Reign Forever,
We cast our cares upon You. You care for us.
Praise the Lord! Who saves us and daily lifts us up.

This IS our God.

Romans 8 ~ now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus

Papyrus 46 has 104 Scriptures listed in the index this reader chose to keep. It's either two or three generations after Jesus died and is marvelously intact. These three photographs are Romans 8 three pages of that Chapter  complete and intact - amazing.

Romans 8

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. 3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do.

By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh,
but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.

6 For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. 8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

10 But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

12 So then, brothers and sisters, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.

23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.

26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? 33 Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.

34 Who is to condemn?
Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised — who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.[

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written,

“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 Thessalonians 5

God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. 11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

 1 Thessalonians 5

He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing

Love your neighbor as yourself Is a difficult concept. We actually rarely loan our vehicles, much less buy one for our neighbor.

And God so understands us with love and care. Telling us to do unto others as we would have done to ourselves. He has to explain - it's a very Large Concept - to Love. And we snipe at the ones we love. We fail to extend to them even word courtesy sometimes to be funny or just self-centered. Oh - that's a bit close to my soul - where I dwell.

We need to have this explained. Love occurs at very basic level every day. God created the universe as His Word. And Words need sincerity, more than even a polite quality.

Warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. 15 Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.

Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

19 Do not quench the Spirit.

25 Brothers and sisters, pray for us. 26 Greet all God’s people with a holy kiss. 27 I charge you before the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers and sisters.

28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Father God, prayer should be honest. I'm encouraged recently by taking the Judith and Frances MacNutt Healing video class. By Bishop Clark's Sermon on praying for God's Blessings in Powerful Prayer. For the Healing Class praying for a man with reoccurring cancer, just a few states away, as being discovered after a referring physician sent him to MD Anderson as - healed. For my thyroid throat to suddenly look youthful as a gift of God for praying Psalm 103 for eight years after feeling led to pray for that. For the Word of God to be fulfilled with help to be strong and ably do His Will with Love and Mercy.

For waking every day, praying for Edward to have his soul feed the physical diagnosis I wouldn't want to publicly pray for. (Because we are all funny and have privacy requirements.)

Thank You, Father, for the positive results there.

Thank you for the people I love being with to pray. And where we pray in Great faith, love and joy where I volunteer. The blessing of Jesus.

A Blessing of God encouraging me during family serious illness. Our household could use prayer. We have tremendous blessings to be grateful for every day. Needs we have for Love, health, dignity, compassion. Adult children trying their wings with a lot of shock at being adults. Good young men, learning how to develop their lives to become the men they aspire to be.

I'm asking prayers for my mother and mother-in-law in seasonal change. For once again being on the cusp of generational change first. For the Good God has given me in understanding love, faith and hope. For my cousin who asked me to pray for strength to do what God calls as His Word in great ability to have wisdom and love.. For my husband's family to go through the changes together.

For the dream I have for family growing and enlarging and loving with more compassion, words and actions. And the tree of faith that I have to see that grow as I age. Thank God for Love, HE provides blessings and we rejoice. In Jesus the Lord. Amen.

2 Thessalonians 3 ~ we command and encourage in the Lord Jesus Christ to do their work quietly

2 Thessalonians is listed with Papyrus 46, yet is missing. Galatians 6 provides us with a Paul type signature - showing larger handwriting at the bottom of the page.

2 Thessalonians 3

Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may speed ahead and be honored, as happened among you, 2 and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. For not all have faith.

3 But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one. 4 And we have confidence in the Lord about you, that you are doing and will do the things that we command.

5 May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.

6 Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from any brother who is walking in idleness and not in accord with the tradition that you received from us. 7 For you yourselves know how you ought to imitate us, because we were not idle when we were with you, 8 nor did we eat anyone's bread without paying for it, but with toil and labor we worked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you.

9 It was not because we do not have that right, but to give you in ourselves an example to imitate. 10 For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. 11 For we hear that some among you walk in idleness, not busy at work, but busybodies. 12 Now such persons we command and encourage in the Lord Jesus Christ to do their work quietly and to earn their own living.

13 As for you, brothers, do not grow weary in doing good.

14 If anyone does not obey what we say in this letter, take note of that person, and have nothing to do with him, that he may be ashamed. 15 Do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother.

16 Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.

17 I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. This is the sign of genuineness in every letter of mine; it is the way I write.

18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

I spoke this week with a young woman who said, The goal of life is to be happy."

I had the words yanked out of my mouth - "NO, the goal of Life is NOT to be happy!" She was astonished. I was a little bit too.

Chasing happiness will indeed make you weary. Your life will become all about you. Faithful goodness will depart. You might become bored, bitter, judgmental and disillusioned.

The harder work is the way God has put many of His blessings near the Law. God is a parent. He says "Go to My House on Sunday!" Well, om. Ok. Maybe. And the truth is Church is to encourage you find peace in forgiveness, solutions, diligence and not to chase happiness. To push out the wide highway and to reach the path that provides where our souls will linger in the Goodness of God. Where God will nourish us. Encourage us. Remind us that what we cherish in life - He agrees with and warms with us.

Philippians 4:1
Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, my beloved!

We find our center again in Jesus.

God, when we want the life He is calling us to lead - Father God is on our side. We know that His plans for us are for good.

God is telling us - build the framework for a life that would encompass the best possible solutions for happiness. We can live this intentionally. Give justice with mercy. Be humble with Father God.

When we put our lives together to hold people in Love, Joy, Respect, Honor, Encouragement, we will rarely want to leave this place. The framework is easily started in Respect. Do unto others what you would have them do to you.

Or speak kindly - this may be the only kind word that person hears for a week.

Once that House is Built, you sleep better at night. And you don't want to shake down a good thing. You see the fruits of what God has given you and Church encourages your loved ones to be on this meaningful journey.

Once you are held in God's Love -

Psalm 34

I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul makes its boast in the Lord;
let the humble hear and be glad.
3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
and let us exalt his name together!

4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me
and delivered me from all my fears.
5 Those who look to him are radiant,
and their faces shall never be ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him
and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the Lord encamps
around those who fear him, and delivers them.

8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!

9 Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints,
for those who fear him have no lack!
10 The young lions suffer want and hunger;
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

11 Come, O children, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
12 What man is there who desires life
and loves many days, that he may see good?
13 Keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from speaking deceit.
14 Turn away from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it.

15 The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous
and his ears toward their cry.
16 The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
17 When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears
and delivers them out of all their troubles.
18 The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit.

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
but the Lord delivers him out of them all.
20 He keeps all his bones;
not one of them is broken.
21 Affliction will slay the wicked,
and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.
22 The Lord redeems the life of his servants;
none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.

We trust in Jesus. He will deliver us. The way God builds us, we will fight the good fight. And then His framework will make our burdens light. The Joy of the Lord is our Strength.

Father God, Your Word is a light to us. When we feel futile, our soul fills with dust, Your Word gives us life. Your Word is sweet to my heart, better than food. Your Word gives me great Peace. Those who Love you rest upon You are calmed and quieted in our soul, like a child with its mother, that is the peace of our soul within us.

You are abundant Life, let us have life in Your ways.

Our eyes will see salvation and the fulfillment of Your Righteous Promises. In Jesus, we rest in Your Word. Amen.

Romans 7 ~ free from that law

Papyrus 46 lists Romans 7 as part of the collection, yet it is missing.

Romans 7

Or do you not know, brothers—for I am speaking to those who know the law—that the law is binding on a person only as long as he lives?

2 For a married woman is bound by law to her husband while he lives, but if her husband dies she is released from the law of marriage. 3 Accordingly, she will be called an adulteress if she lives with another man while her husband is alive. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law, and if she marries another man she is not an adulteress.

4 Likewise, my brothers, you also have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God. 5 For while we were living in the flesh, our sinful passions, aroused by the law, were at work in our members to bear fruit for death. 6 But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code.

7 What then shall we say?
That the law is sin?
By no means!
Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”

8 But sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of covetousness.

For apart from the law, sin lies dead.

9 I was once alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin came alive and I died.

10 The very commandment that promised life proved to be death to me. 11 For sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through it killed me.

12 So the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.

13 Did that which is good, then, bring death to me? By no means! It was sin, producing death in me through what is good, in order that sin might be shown to be sin, and through the commandment might become sinful beyond measure.

14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, sold under sin.

15 For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. 16 Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. 17 So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.

18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.

21 So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand.

22 For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, 23 but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.

24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!

So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.

Revelation 1
17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, 18 and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades"

1 Timothy 1:15
Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners --of whom I am the worst.

John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Ephesians 1:7
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace

Colossians 1:22
But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation--

9 I was once alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin came alive and I died.

The Balance between Law and Spirit. This is a large question. See the people near the Church - shall we invite them in - ask them to leave.

The Word of God created the Universe. If we say that the Word of God is archaic, we are offering judgment for God's impact in our lives. Put poetically, we are saying - all we need is a tall ship and a star to guide her by.

Stars shoot on by.

If we adhere to the Law - we have not remembered God tells us - we might look pure - but God says white washed tombs are sterile. It's great to look as spiffy as the Prodigal Son's Older Brother - but there are a lot of attitudes going on there. Don't look tooooo closely under that gleaming woolen rug.

Jesus was created by God's Word. God who says He is the Life in mankind. God is the Life giving Spirit. And HE saw His Second Exodus, or Babylonian Exile, as a team needed effort with chains, fire, dehydration, suffering. To produce... a witness for God's Love.

Rather sad it took all that for the Children of God to understand that His Love crosses boundaries and borders.

Emperor Nebuchadnezzar understood he was part of God's prophecy and tried three separate venues to try to widen the heart of The Kingdom of Judah. In the end, it took the kindness of the gentile goy to get the attention of the Children of God.

King of Judah, Jehoiachin, is captured March 16, 597 B.C.

Babylonian Cuneiform tells us the Bible is accurate. Zedekiah, the uncle of King Jehoiachin - Jehoiachin is removed to a Babylonian prison.
King Jehoiachin and his 5 Sons receive Prisoner Rations in Prison.  Emperor Nebuchadnezzar, in 17 years, will invite the King of David's line to sit at his table the rest of his life.

These Babylonians Cuneiform were discovered within the last century. And tell us of Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther.  Exactly. With amazing date accuracy.

So the terrible Emperor Nebuchadnezzar provided for others other than King Jehoiachin and his five sons. He gave an obscure priest a house, to himself, on a river bank.

The priest was so raised up to be honored like this - Ezekiel began to lead. With another honored slave - Daniel.

Emperor Nebuchadnezzar arranges for the slaves to have sabbath in houses together.

Nebuchadnezzar announces the prisoners will go home. And the third Emperor is the charm - they all go home with the original Moses Temple Tools. With Emperor money to rebuild the destroyed Temple.

To - - - Throw out the Samaritans - who are DNA tested to being three tribes of Israel.

Jesus Keeps Setting the Balance - Jesus goes to the Samaritan Woman to say

John 4 ~
21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” 25 The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When he comes, he will tell us all things.” 26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am he.”

Jesus is asked about the Law -

Matthew 5:17
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."

We can appear to achieve the Law. Jesus tells us all have fallen short and require a Savoir. When we have fallen short, and tell God Earnestly how Sorry we are, God tells us He will Run to us.

Proverbs 4:27
Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.

Isaiah 30:21
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it."

Joshua 1
7 Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go. 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night

Who will fill the Church?

Luke 5:32
"I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

Jesus said this -

Galatians 5:14
For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."

Oh Come All Ye Faithful, Joyful and Triumphant to Jesus our Lord. Born the King of Angels, Born the King of Kings, O come let us adore Him - Jesus Christ the Lord. Sing Choirs of Angels, Sing in Exultation. Sing all that hear God's Holy Word.
Glory to God in the Highest. Lord we greet thee. Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing.

Come let us adore HIM, Jesus Christ the Lord. Praise You Father God for our salvation - Jesus. Amen.

About scripture-for-today.blogspot.com/

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He has saved all who call upon His name and rely on Him for His Grace. The Scriptures are living & active and are for understanding the Lord Almighty. Biblical readings are chosen from the Ecumenical Christian Church and the Nicene Council, 325 A.D., approved Apocrypha. People remember not just from reading, but by sight and orally- an image has been added as well as audio readings. God tends to link the passages together with fascinates - this blogger, Anne-Laurel Gardere

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
