Romans 8:28 ~ Loving God +



Wouldn't we want our camel to borrow the eye of a needle and ascertain 2018 will be a Banner year? Blessed. Bountiful. Completely A List.

New Year's Day begins anew. Soon to be filled with artic chill. We would need a bright heart, soul and mind to not have cold blah or even flu. An air of Adventure.

Brightly optimistic. Boldly filled with expectation. Avoiding an avalanche of overly caffeinated.




Abraham. Believed. And then calculated, he could assist the Lord God Most High. Abraham felt he was the Lord's Associate. Perhaps even the Lord's Counselor. He has forgotten, Abraham was God's Friend.





God Alone is Absolute. Almighty. All knowing. Alpha and Omega.

The Lord God is Shepherd and Overseer of our souls. His repetition is reiteration for the renewal of our ruminations. Redemption of round about reflections. Our Redeemer would long for our shared rejoicing.

Our Father God is Ancient of Days. Advancing Love. Determined, Diligent, Dependable Love. Asking authoritatively to appeal to our core being. Announcing action, assurance of advice and sound counsel. Angelic and Celestial combine attesting to the enduring, eternal essential of faith.

The Prodigal presents an aptitude for process and proficiency providing preparation for adroitness in eternal, effusive endurance. Exceptional excellence of Faith. Accomplished achievement of Belief.

As we cusp in a beginning Year - God's Goodness rolls to new generalizations - our chance changing our circumspect accumulations of cognitive conversation. God's Good Plan - all circumstances correspond - the cogs of detail encompass all of  - - - our very lives.   All Things work for Good.  In His Will. In God's Time.

Philippians 3:12-16



2 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead

14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

15 All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you.

16 Only let us live up to what we have already attained.








We all have late Christmas gifts, as you see people far flung.

A dear High School friend posted on Facebook, she found her mother's favorite Christmas shirt that, sadly, has belonged to Janice for the last 3 years. And as she took her mother's blouse - the faint perfume was still there. And holding the blouse - she had her mother back for a few precious moments.


Today, I went to get gasoline with Edward. And as I sat, I saw a man who was remarkably like my Daddy when he was about 38 years old. Same frame, same neck, same face outlined with sunglasses.

This Daddy Look Alike was evidently the Supervisor and was talking to his employee who has had some health issues. The man who works there regularly is very slight and is about 50. The Supervisor who looked so much like my own Daddy, I was just glued to watching him. He gestured like my father and showed what he wanted done. He was polite and efficient and warm.

The employee who is slightly built was struggling to put on a jacket with a hood, in fact, he was tangled up. The man, like my own Daddy, allowed his employee to work to get the jacket on. It was the polite thing to do. Giving and allowing room for dignity. And the man was tangled. So the Daddy look alike - with kind gestures - not overly caring, not uncaring, did not overly motherly, but with efficient work - helped the sleeves to be obtained. And then, by habit of parenting, but not overdoing, smoothed the hood in place. The employed nodded and thanked him. The Supervisor nodded kindly back and the discussion commenced on the plan of work for the day.  Affection had been shared.

My own father would hire those who needed a little more effort. And kindness would be given with dignity and not overdone. Stories would come home from work. Joy would be found. Some hilarity.

Daddy has been in Heaven for 24 years. And I have rarely seen a man who so resembled my own father. I know a Father God Christmas present when I see one.

I enjoyed sharing this with you and I will say, I had to drive down the highway for about 45 minutes with the occasional tear and pat my heart. Very, very, very straight to warming all of me. A Gracious Father God - a Gracious Gift. Edward, I have known since I was 15 years old, said, "Oh, he Really Does Look like Your Dad." No doubt. No doubt.

Luke 6:1-38 ~ Power was coming from Jesus








The Beatitudes. I vote Yes. And they puzzle me. How do we "Really" practice the Beatitudes? Yesterday we talked about the Yoke of Jesus is easy - and showed Biblical examples of God actually being, by nature, Giving. And not in need, because He is  Creator of All and King of Kings - He has no need of guilt as a gift. Now. all that is left to us is to combine the Beatitudes - His Vast propensity to Generosity and the Beatitudes. We will now attempt to Wrap it Up.








Luke 6:1-38


17 Jesus went down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of his disciples was there and a great number of people from all over Judea, from Jerusalem, and from the coastal region around Tyre and Sidon, 18 who had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. Those troubled by impure spirits were cured,
19 and the people all tried to touch him,
because power was coming from him
and healing them all.

20 Looking at his disciples, he said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. 21 Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh. 22 Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. 2

3 “Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets. 24 “But woe to you who are rich, for you have already received your comfort. 25 Woe to you who are well fed now, for you will go hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep. 26 Woe to you when everyone speaks well of you, for that is how their ancestors treated the false prophets.

27 “But to you who are listening I say:
Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.

31 Do to others as you would have them do to you. 32 “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. 35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back.

Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High,
because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.
36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you.

A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”



Luke is the Physician, who decided he was the narrow path with Peter and Paul. Luke stayed with these men of God all their days, until the last day, Luke was a comfort and blessing of God. A narrow path to the Glory of God. The Blessing of a Gospel of such a man. The courage of twice being inside the Roman Empire and remaining with a condemned criminal against Caesar. Surely this man was of God.








Edward's family is originally from Bryan, Texas and Hearne. We are Aggies by hard work. Grit. Determination.

Have a Story for you, Aggies.

Two Christmases ago, we were talking in the joy of the Season one dark evening and on our way to eat dinner. Edward has some brain physical illness and life can be a bowl of cherries. God remembers Edward every day Graciously and I do too. You never exactly know what's going to happen. The car Beeeeeped. Good car, remember to listen to your car. And we -  hahahhaha - were talking. And hit a black SUV. Tapped it. Edward was in reverse. Now the mood had seriously changed to being chagrined, we had not listened to the car.

Out of the dark came a man, who said, "I knew when I parked the car, it would be hit as a dark car. And figured it would be your car. In fact, I saw you about to hit my two week old car and I knew a wreck was coming and didn't say a thing. It's just a car, right?"

At this Edward and I went into assess mode. Listening - On. Edward spoke. I needed to see what was going to happen. Edward said, "Let me get you our information, right now." And the man asked Edward if he was accepting liability.

Edward gave me the look that said sh. Edward said, "I believe I can get the information to you pretty quickly, hang on."

Now communicators will tell us 89% of communication is non-verbal. This man seemed angry. Tightly wound. We were in serious assess mode.

The proper papers were found quickly. God is Good. Edward did not say much and handed the man the insurance papers and held up his phone as a flashlight to allow the DL and insurance to be photoed on the man's phone. As this finished up, the angry man repeated his story of quiet and strange intensity. Edward said kindly, "Well, you have the papers and I believe it will go smoothly for you."

The man said it would depend upon Edward taking responsibility. Edward said any accident official could see from the position, Edward had been the one striking his bumper. The man assessed the damage at 2 thousand dollars, or perhaps more as these things take a lot of time...and have hidden cost...

We let that hang in the air. Edward spoke kindly and said he hoped the repair would be swift on his new car. The man said well it is only a car. We all did agree. Then the man said he had been in several tours of duty in Afghanistan. And had just returned from being away for years and years. Edward put out his hand, shook the man's hand and said, "Thank you for your service. I hope this Christmas will be good to you. We are glad you are back. Are you now complete in your military service?"

The man then took a step back. He said, "Thank you for asking. I'm very glad to get home alive. It all seems a little unreal to be home again. I've had leaves, but to know I'm back is going to be - an adjustment. I will get this working right away."

We said Merry Christmas and all departed. I prayed for Edward's good conduct we'd get less of a hit on our insurance. In the next 2 months, we found the insurance had increased 2 thousand dollars. Bummer. And at the Volunteer for Pro Life, the physician I sat with gave me an insurance tip - - - and we SAVED 2 thousand dollars for switching. Thank You God and Handel's Alleluia. Thank You, Jesus Christ.









The Beatitudes. Seems to be unwell. And unnatural. And a hopeful thing of Children's Literature. And not what you'd do, if you hope to go far in life.


Not exactly. Let's cover this with Scripture. Then we have a solid house built on the Rock of Christ Jesus. When we cover this - wrap it up, we have a package to keep. A handle on the gift. A Gift of God.






1 Corinthians 16:

13 Be on the alert.
Stand firm in the faith.
Be men of courage.
Be strong.
14 Do everything in love.


Now that is fortitude. Not vapors of wanna be. It's fire and determination of going forth in God. Not obscure philosophy. Tangible. Reliable.


John 16:33
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation.


But take heart;
I have overcome the world.

Jesus assures us all will have trouble. Victory is in faith of Jesus' Victory. God places us as His Beloved.

Going forth with God. Going far.

We all know Moses. Joshua impressed God. The Hebrew Name of Jesus is Yeshua. Joshua is diligent faith. Joshua parted the Jordan River. Joshua has the Holy Spirit of the Most High God.


Joshua ONE. The Beginning:

7 “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. 8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”




On Kindness, Graciousness and Faith:

Philippians 1:28
Without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved--and that by God.



Isaiah 33:22
For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; it is He who will save us.



God is a mighty refuge. The New Testament tells us we "know" for those who love God = all things "Work" (process) together for good, for those who are called according to His Purpose. We have patience.

Happy people bounce. The Bible says we determine ourselves by our responses. We are NOT in a tennis game. God determines us not by situations and comments, God determines us and we determine ourselves - flawed and with God's Amazing Grace - by what comes out of us = words, works, ways.

God's Word says we will not be able to brag. Because what saves us is God's Grace.

When we try to please God, really, He finds we DO Please God.

We will never ever be able to accomplish 3,000 pages of God's Word. We will never build the planet. We will never be Jesus. Our Father God knows this and God loves our heart and hope and faith and Love. I love the Lord God, my Father, because He Loves me. As His Child. His Burden is easy. His Yoke is Light. Thank God for His Grace.



Abba, Our Holy and Wonderful Father.

Uplift us, we ask for Your Blessings. 

Oh say can You see our Nation filled by the dawn's early Light

We Love You, Father, fill us. Fill our Children. Fill the people we Love. Fill the people You have given us with Your Holy Spirit.

Let us Behold this Day - more of Your Heaven on earth.

Let us be Grateful and collectors of seeing Your Blessings. Being more of Blessing to others by Your Gracious Help.

We give You thanks for the people - we dwell in peace. We have more peace than we are aware of. More of sincere Love.

To the depth of our being - the Word of God is filling us with His Word and Love.

And all the people who pray around the world, calling on Jesus say Amen  Glory of our Good Father and a Happy New Year.

Matthew 2:11-12 ~ Worship




Matthew 2:11-12

11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. 12 And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.


Mark 8
1 In those days, when again a great crowd had gathered, and they had nothing to eat, he called his disciples to him and said to them, 2 "I have compassion on the crowd, because they have been with me now three days and have nothing to eat. 3 And if I send them away hungry to their homes, they will faint on the way. And some of them have come from far away."



The Magi and Jesus operate on what they see as a Higher Path - way, truth and Life. Compassion is part of their every day experience. Blessing the Magi, the wise men, to be doing God's Work - avoiding trouble. A lot of people feel drawing closer to God is to arrive in trouble. Jesus said watching mankind for millenniums - trouble is inevitable for all. The Magi had trouble in traveling a far distance - this endangered life itself. And in being diligent to their God calling, God has been gracious to them.

Does God actually provide? The Children of Israel saw amazing things and doubted each time they were uncomfortable. Jesus would look at this and have contempt? Jesus would say the goodness of mankind is diligently trying and Jesus aids and helps as well.

God adds to their efforts. The Magi want to please God and help Jesus, Mary and Joseph. God sees they do please Him and God carries the blessing through the millenniums. Just as Jesus fed the multitudes and in the Blessing of God - fed millenniums. Jesus told us that His yoke is easy. For what we cannot do and yet try - God is going to fulfill what has to be done in His Plan. When we are in His Plan - we find this wonderful. When we are not in His Plan - we find this impossible and unpleasant.

We draw breathe in this Life as a Gift of God. We live eternally as a Gift of God.

God is not providing guilt in these verses. God's primary Job in life is - contrary to the people who do not like God - not a guilt provider. Instead we find God Gives and Gives. God sees the people's efforts and He works to make His Yoke easier. The Blessings of God mostly have to be sought to be found. Making us Grateful to a Gracious Father God.




Abba,

We bless You for Your Willing Love and Diligence to us.

Bless those we love and the people You have given us.

Help us to walk in Your paths and the good works You have provided for us to walk in. We always need You, Abba.

In the Blessing of Prayer around the world, we ask the Blessing of God - more Heaven on earth.

Psalm 33:20-22


20 Our soul waits for the Lord;

even as we hope in you.







The ingredients for a life of sunshine and rain - with the abiding certainty - God will make a path of goodness and truth. Where Joy will prevail.

The Lord - our help and shield
Because of the Lord - our heart can be glad. His Holy Name covers us we learn in Numbers 6.

Wind, storm, sunshine, rain - His Steadfast Love is certain. Psalm 136.





Abba,

Going Forth - we rely upon Jesus. And in You - are prayers are heard with Love.

Your Will is Good. We lift all our cares to You. And we will rest - even as a Lord. You rest with Grace! You Reign with Love.

Luke 3:21-22 ~ Jesus Beloved Son



Luke 3:21-22


21 Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heavens were opened, 22 and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form, like a dove;

And a voice came from heaven, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.”



In my internal conversations with Jesus and Abba, carried by the Holy Spirit - this Scripture hits, warms, calls to all the major points. Luke 3 is still the Christmas Story - the genealogy of Mary to Jesus is here. And when you gather the story to the Birth of Christ - family -  this is a circle of perfect love.

Luke 3 continues the Christmas Story - not just as Christmas in our hearts every day - Luke 3 explains reactions to the Heavenly Host, the Shepherds, Simeon and Anna. The ripple effect. French Nativity scenes have interested me since we lived in Nice, France for 4 years of my early childhood. The Nativity sets  of Provence, France have the butcher, baker, candlestick maker. The Priest. The women selling bundles of sticks to create warmth in homes. 100s and 100s of people.





Usually, the set is not set in Bethlehem setting, but on a table, bistro, shop - saying, "Christ Lives with Us! We are included in this Village of Christ Jesus."


The people have to be seen closely. They are dear. So wonderful to hold each person in your hand and examine their character. Each person is examined. Rarely do the people stop with one person.

I was asked why my set is so appealing. Well to be honest, it's the set - it is so Holy Spirit oriented. But the verbal explanation - in a party setting - people dart in and out and ask questions about locations for purses, coats and salt. So, as I'm saying, the set is appealing simply because it's a Holy Spirit Design. I gave the short explanation and said I arrange the set that those who kneel, sit - as Jesus did to teach us in the Scriptures - are closest to the Christ Child. And the warmth of the adoration of Jesus is a very warm setting.

The people rise up as to see the Christ Child. The Height of the people rise to see the Christ Child.


Voila! Amore Chéries de Jésus!!!
L'amour de Dieu!



And as we continue our voyage in the path of Luke 3:21-22, we will talk to Jesus asking any and all questions, as if we are children. And Father God and Jesus will answer with all the time in the world. With Great Care. When we've been there 10,000 years bright shining as the Son, we've no less days to sing His Praise - as when - we - had first begun.

Was it warm when Jesus was baptized? Father God would tenderly Love Jesus to have His Joy beginning the telling of Love of Christ and Abba. How would the Love God has for us be less than tender and warm.

Luke 1

Go before the Lord to prepare his ways, 77 to give knowledge of salvation to his people in the forgiveness of their sins,

78 because of the tender mercy of our God,
whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high
79 to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the way of peace."

Leading us again to Luke 3:21-22 ~ Jesus is Baptized with His People. Jesus Life and Light of God. Jesus not set on a Throne. With His Beloved. His exact nature of Love - showing us to be washed and redeemed with His Beloved.

The experience Jesus Christ, Son of God. Abba - He desires us to experience - to be washed, released, cleansed, renewed. To see the Beauty God Plans for us. Walking forth knowing Jesus has made us righteous. In Jesus. All. You. Me.


Glories stream from heaven afar,
Heavenly Hosts sing alleluia

Christ the Savior, is born!
Christ the Savior, is born!

Son of God, Love's pure light

Isaiah 61


The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,

We Love to see Father God's Plan of the Good News of Jesus Christ stretching back Millenniums. Yet the Scripture is Living and Active. The Oaks of Righteousness? Surely we all know the display of the Light of the world we have today - is something Father God knew well before we could even say "Light."




Meaningful Christmases past. And some of our most vivid memories - Grandparents departed to Heavenly Home leaving memories of goodness and love. And Church Services. Where peace and contentment catch up with our eternal beings to create contact with God.

Don't miss out on Church. This Season has a Lot of Hope. We Expect Jesus and realize there are miles to go. Faith, Hope and Love. Let the Love Father God has for you fill your heart.


Mary, chosen Mother of Jesus - was told this would be a difficult path to walk. And Mary is not known to be in fear. Mary was known to walk with her beloved Child, husband, sons and daughters as well as Mary's own sister. How did Mary do this? Mary believed God. Enabling her to go 80 miles on a donkey and have strangers come to the manger. Mary lived faith. Mary believed God. Mary saw the attention of God as Good News.


Isaiah knew of Jesus 700 years before Jesus was born. God knows what Good News God has for our lives. And in faith - we leave old concerns behind and begin - a New Christmas, a New 2018.



When I was born, the median age in my family was probably 77 years old. And now would probably be 30 years of age. And in the years to come - we will have more generations. Christmases yet to have arrived. God knew us - millenniums ago. We are His Beloved Children. Oh - if we consider the Good God has planned for us. The Good News of God does not just sustain us in times of trouble. The Good News of God does not just bring our Joy to Eternity. The Good News of God - enables us like Zechariah, Elizabeth, Mary and Joseph - to see the times to come - with the Joy of Expectation of the Goodness of God. Meeting the challenges of Life.



Nehemiah 8:10
10 Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”




Abba, Abba, Abba,

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.

GOD is Just this good. We live past trauma. We are blessed. We live to see the reality of the Scriptures and in this we know He brought us this far.

To Love Jesus is to know the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness. . Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. We believe in Jesus and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory.

To know the Glory and Love of God is to see the miracles of Jesus Love. Your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

God fill us all, especially those we love with renewed hope for years ahead filled with love.

We ask in the name of Jesus Christ. Knowing the prayers of the faithful circle God's Creation He calls Good.

Amen.
