Genesis 41:1-13 ~ After two whole years, Pharoah dreamed

Genesis 41:1-13


41 After two whole years, Pharaoh dreamed that he was standing by the Nile, 2 and behold, there came up out of the Nile seven cows attractive and plump, and they fed in the reed grass. 3 And behold, seven other cows, ugly and thin, came up out of the Nile after them, and stood by the other cows on the bank of the Nile. 4 And the ugly, thin cows ate up the seven attractive, plump cows. And Pharaoh awoke. 5 And he fell asleep and dreamed a second time. And behold, seven ears of grain, plump and good, were growing on one stalk. 6 And behold, after them sprouted seven ears, thin and blighted by the east wind. 7 And the thin ears swallowed up the seven plump, full ears.

And Pharaoh awoke, and behold, it was a dream. 8 So in the morning his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt and all its wise men. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but there was none who could interpret them to Pharaoh.

9 Then the chief cupbearer said to Pharaoh, “I remember my offenses today. 10 When Pharaoh was angry with his servants and put me and the chief baker in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, 11 we dreamed on the same night, he and I, each having a dream with its own interpretation. 12 A young Hebrew was there with us, a servant of the captain of the guard. When we told him, he interpreted our dreams to us, giving an interpretation to each man according to his dream. 13 And as he interpreted to us, so it came about. I was restored to my office, and the baker was hanged.”

Last week we had very wonderful soaking prayer filled with Love.

I was privileged to have truly great prayer,  today, with people who earnestly want to bring God to others. A woman was healed, by Jesus, from cancer her doctor said was incurable. She will be placed into a medical book and asked to tour with the Christian doctor on the amazing miracle this incurable Cancer was healed by faith in Jesus. A very grateful family to the Lord for His Work. PACN really has prayers answered.

We had a great Bible Study last night. This wonderful group has been meeting for about fourteen years. We are honest in our questions, forthright in doubts and gentle as we speak the truth. A work of God.

With our Bible Study we read Isaiah meeting God and feeling his inadequacies. And Peter feeling the same from just meeting a man - Jesus Christ the Lord. The comparison is Jesus Really Did Reveal our Father. One mere man whereas Abraham understood how very incredibly vast God is. The Red Sea parted with just His breath. Isaiah went on to describe the size of God by saying the Sea parted when Father God waived His hand.

God chose a forgetful cup bearer to be in charge of Joseph. And God picked Moses to be in charge of the Exodus. Because God wants all of us to understand that we are not God.  Genesis showed we hoped to be - like Eve - choosing right and wrong. Joseph grew up surrounded by unfortunate circumstance - God made a path for Joseph. Moses had unfortunate circumstance - God made a path for Moses like Gideon. And like Gideon - eventually Moses could not do God's work.

God's work is God's work.

I was fortunate to be able to travel through Texas by car on Tuesday - when you are looking for music on the FM radio - you actually get your pick of really, very, very fabulous Sermons and Lessons on accurate Bible. One station after the next. We are Blessed to have this in Texas. Our nation.

And the two I heard were on two different stations and ran parallel. And blend perfectly in to these Scriptures.

Caleb lived hard times being in the desert 40 years. And saw all of that generation die off. He lived in hard times knowing that he was living within God's Vision for him. Many days he must have wondered. And God gave Caleb the strength to live those years. To go into the Promised Land and be asked by Joshua where he would want to live. Caleb asked for land near Sarah. Caleb understood Love.

Paul lived in prison. Paul said he would like to be out. And being a purposeful man, Paul used all of his opportunities and left a legacy to help others.

God used hard circumstance to produce hope. Character. We get the opportunity to pick seeing the good - or sit home and whine. When we pick to rely upon the Fruit of God looking to Him - then we have the Joy to Know God Loves us. Receiving and giving Love makes us stronger. Knowing we are weak enough to be Loved by God. Saved by God. And go forth.

Every day He gives us.

Esther 2:1-18


After these things, when the anger of King Ahasuerus had abated, he remembered Vashti and what she had done and what had been decreed against her. Then the king's servants who attended him said, "Let beautiful young virgins be sought out for the king. And let the king appoint commissioners in all the provinces of his kingdom to gather all the beautiful young virgins to the harem in the citadel of Susa under custody of Hegai, the king's eunuch, who is in charge of the women; let their cosmetic treatments be given them. And let the girl who pleases the king be queen instead of Vashti." This pleased the king, and he did so.

Now there was a Jew in the citadel of Susa whose name was Mordecai, son of Jair, son of Shimei, son of Kish, a Benjaminite. Kish had been carried away from Jerusalem among the captives carried away with King Jeconiah of Judah, whom King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon had carried away. Mordecai had brought up Hadassah, that is Esther, his cousin, for she had neither father nor mother; the girl was fair and beautiful, and when her father and her mother died, Mordecai adopted her as his own daughter. So when the king's order and his edict were proclaimed, and when many young women were gathered in the citadel of Susa in custody of Hegai, Esther also was taken into the king's palace and put in custody of Hegai, who had charge of the women. The girl pleased him and won his favor, and he quickly provided her with her cosmetic treatments and her portion of food, and with seven chosen maids from the king's palace, and advanced her and her maids to the best place in the harem. Esther did not reveal her people or kindred, for Mordecai had charged her not to tell. Every day Mordecai would walk around in front of the court of the harem, to learn how Esther was and how she fared.

The turn came for each girl to go in to King Ahasuerus, after being twelve months under the regulations for the women, since this was the regular period of their cosmetic treatment, six months with oil of myrrh and six months with perfumes and cosmetics for women. When the girl went in to the king she was given whatever she asked for to take with her from the harem to the king's palace. In the evening she went in; then in the morning she came back to the second harem in custody of Shaashgaz, the king's eunuch, who was in charge of the concubines; she did not go in to the king again, unless the king delighted in her and she was summoned by name.

When the turn came for Esther, daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had adopted her as his own daughter, to go in to the king, she asked for nothing except what Hegai the king's eunuch, who had charge of the women, advised. Now Esther was admired by all who saw her. When Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus in his royal palace in the tenth month, which is the month of Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign, the king loved Esther more than all the other women; of all the virgins she won his favor and devotion, so that he set the royal crown on her head and made her queen instead of Vashti. Then the king gave a great banquet to all his officials and ministers - "Esther's Esther's feast". He also granted a remission of taxes to the provinces and gave gifts with royal generosity.



What has the Book of Esther to do with anything today? A long ago story with old tombs of the people in this Bible Passage.



Esther was adopted. Her family was gone. She was in the highest place of honor. She could easily have looked good and had a pretty life. Sitting pretty would be a very accurate term for the Queen of the present day spelling of Xerxes.




In the midst of change, uncertainty, life expectancy, life, death, power, plots, vast wealth, lavish large life - Esther did not have the dreams given to Daniel or God's umpha blessing causing those around him to help him. Daniel's era had God's Handwriting Literally on the wall. Daniel had a lot of Supernatural God encouragement.

Esther had to trust God and say - "I'm going to trust God - as I do the right thing, I can have life and not walk around complaining and worrying and fainting and being without courage."






How many people would have decided to fight for their adopted Uncle and put their neck out? We see a few did in World War II. Really the story of Esther is one of personal courage and a willingness to do the right thing. And not walking around like a feinting Lily.




Esther did not go shrieking around that Jews didn't join Harems. I really doubt she was thrilled. Esther was placed in a very unusual situation for someone growing up as an ex-patriot Jew. She was unusually brave and uncomplaining.

The Book of Esther is about Trust and Believe God.
However your adult life has led down a path of unusual and different circumstance - God has not lost your address. God didn't give up on a woman thrown in a harem. Esther realized this and knew she would go Home to God at the end of her Life. Esther chose to live a life of meaning she could be proud of at the end of her Life, as she stood in front of God.






There are unusual aspects to Esther.





~ Uncomplaining.

Isaiah 43:18-19

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

How easy it would have been for Esther to have given in to self-pity, fear and not helped.

~ Courage. Because she Trusted God. He was her Salvation and She Believed Him.

Father God, how grateful I am that You worked with the Disciples who really had a lack of peace a lot during the days they loved and walked with Jesus. You continued to work with men willing to argue in public over circumcision and You gave them the honesty to write that down. Father God, how I admire Esther, Help us all to cast our cares Up to You and Let You resolve our cares in Your way and in Your time. With a brave heart that You would be proud of. Help us all to Trust You. In Jesus we pray. Amen.

Philippians 4:1-9 ~ my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm thus in the Lord, my beloved



Philippians 4:1-9

Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm thus in the Lord, my beloved.

2 I entreat Euodia and I entreat Syntyche to agree in the Lord. 3 Yes, I ask you also, true companion, help these women, who have labored side by side with me in the gospel together with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.


God is not unfamiliar with our lives - joys and troubles. From our next breath, our first breathe and -  to Eternity.


Haggai in the power of the Holy Spirit had something to say even to a prodigal son 2:23

"'On that day,' declares the LORD Almighty, 'I will take you, my servant Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel,' declares the LORD, 'and I will make you like my signet ring, for I have chosen you,' declares the LORD Almighty."

And in a similar situation Habakkuk said, in his third chapter with the Holy Spirit:

17 Though the fig tree should not blossom And there be no fruit on the vines, Though the yield of the olive should fail And the fields produce no food, Though the flock should be cut off from the fold And there be no cattle in the stalls, 18 Yet I will exult in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

We are all going to have lack of love in our own families. We will be disappointed and disappointing even to those closest to us. And we Will we see beautiful times in life. God tells us in forgiveness, in mercy, we have a path forward. When we were young, God spoke through our parents in this old phrase, "Don't cut off your nose, to spite your face."

Even the phrase of sows sparingly and reaps sparingly can feel limiting. God calls us to different seasons - Stanley Marcus famously said, "Give Not what you want to give, give what they need to be given." Motel 6 perhaps said that best with, "We will leave the Light on for you." When Philippians was written there was not any television, but if you want to see God everywhere - you will. Seek and you shall find. That is Good News.

Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

So sometimes we don't have peace. The disciples found that to be true - rather a lot. And we need direction. Psalm 90 tells us something:

Lord, you have been our refuge,
from one generation to another.




Two men walked into a Alzheimer Bar. One man said this is so sad, Mom isn't like she used to be. - this isn't her home.  The next man entered the bar and he said, I'm so glad for my mom. She has a new friend and she and that lady are sitting and holding hands and telling each other they have been friends for life. Mom is finding peace in the day.

We get a choice in life. To love the ones who God has given us. To be merciful.

Jesus worked with the worried, the ineffective, the afraid, the wobblers - He called them James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas (Matthew 13:55). Those Guuuuys. And they wouldn't listen well, playing sibling games and telling Him to rise up. And so He went and found more men. Simon Peter. His brother Andrew, and James and John,- two sons of Zebedee. Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas, Matthew the tax collector, James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus were Simon, known as the Eager One,[Zealot] and Judas Iscariot, who later betrayed Jesus.

Now being the Son of God, Jesus - they had no problem that there were 2 James, 2 Joseph (Jesus' late earthly Father), 3 Simons, 2 Judas.

No problem telling these men on a journey apart. Because at one point - they all failed Jesus. And Jesus did not stand up once to say that even if they called His name - He was not going to listen or care or love. He never disassembled them to put them down. Because Jesus knew that these worriers, fumblers, failures, successes, were all going to go to different Seasons in Life.

Instead most of them greeted Him honestly. Gideon was surrounded by people deciding what was the right thing. It was Liberarian Heaven. However, in the time of Judges - where God asked for self-governance - it was winding down.

Gideon said to God, Judges 2,
"15 And he said to him, “Please, Lord, how can I save Israel? Behold, my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.” 16 And the Lord said to him, “But I will be with you and
[help you with what God says He will do]

Gideon had something inside him that we all have - we know we have - limits. Flaws. Sins. Just like...James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas (Matthew 13:55). Simon Peter. His brother Andrew, and James and John,- two sons of Zebedee. Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas, Matthew the tax collector, James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus were Simon, known as the Eager One,[Zealot] and Judas Iscariot.

God uses what is broken and weak. It's up to us not to Columbine. When we seek God, we find God. God saves those who cry out to Him. And we, in return, fail to lash out. Fail to neglect. Fail to have revenge. Fail to remind people of their inadequacies. Fail to mention our blessings to hurt others.

We instead say, "All have fallen. All fall short. We journey together. Because God who is Greater. Calls us to Love. God has given us a new day with new mercies to rise again."

Jesus appeared to have cut out James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas (Matthew 13:55) when He was compassionate to Mary. Because even after... Life... Jesus was resurrected in John 21:20-25 the Risen, Victorious Jesus was dealing with His creation in a human fuss up And Thank GOD! No one could even say with disgust "Christians". Because the word had not been invented yet!  No, Jesus gave Mary to John because of the path -  Jesus was giving His Path. (To...people...squabblers, worriers, malcontents, these fussies He wants to save. Don't huff Christians.)

And let us never, never, never give up the rest of the story - one so casually given - telling of a Hope, Faith, Love that continues and continues for two millenniums - 1 Corinthians 9:5. The Lord's brothers, His chosen people including the disciples - go forth to say again and again 'God is Love'. And they go forth doing His work like people who squabble.

God believes the Good in people. His Holy Spirit living in them. God is patient to draw forth Love.

God never promised us anything but troubles. Jesus just boldly stated, "In this life there will be troubles." We can concentrate on 1 Corinthians 9 being another disciple dust up - or we can proclaim that even in a dust up - Jesus is Proclaimed and we find that - the Lord Jesus' Christ's belief in mankind and the world - is worthy of His interest, love, salvation, mercy and grace.  God is Showing us Good from those Who Love the Lord. We see in 1 Corinthians 9 - the Love they had for Jesus is Going Forth.

Let the Light of Christ Shine.

Isaiah 43:1-13 ~ you are precious in My Eyes, and honored, and I Love You

1 Corinthians 3:11 
For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.




Isaiah 43:1-13



1 Now this is what the LORD says--,
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name, you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you.

3 For I am the LORD your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
I give Egypt as your ransom,
Cush and Seba in exchange for you.

4 Because you are precious in my eyes,
and honored, and I love you,
I give men in return for you,
peoples in exchange for your life.

5 Fear not, for I am with you;
I will bring your offspring from the east,
and from the west I will gather you.

6 I will say to the north, Give up,
and to the south, Do not withhold;
bring my sons from afar
and my daughters from the end of the earth,
7 everyone who is called by my name,

8 Bring out the people who are blind, yet have eyes,
who are deaf, yet have ears!
9 All the nations gather together,

Who among them can declare this,

10 “You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD,
“and my servant whom I have chosen,
that you may know and believe me
and understand that I am he.

nor shall there be any after me.

and besides me there is no savior.
12 I declared and saved and proclaimed,
when there was no strange god among you;
and you are my witnesses,” declares the LORD, “and I am God.

there is none who can deliver from my hand;
I work, and who can turn it back?”



Amazing Mercy of the LORD Most High. Life rolls on. God is like the Mississippi River. His purposes push us Up, water flowing to the original source. We are journeying. To our Father God. This is His Plan. A plan of God who Loves. A Plan of the Ancient of Days.

1 Peter 2:9
You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Deuteronomy 14:2
For you are a people holy to the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.

Malachi 3:17
"On the day when I act," says the LORD Almighty, "they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him."

Deuteronomy 28
8"The LORD will command the blessing upon you in your barns and in all that you put your hand to, and He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God gives you. 9"The LORD will establish you as a holy people to Himself, as He swore to you, if you keep the commandments of the LORD your God and walk in His ways."

What has God called His Glory?

1 Timothy 3:16

Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness:

taken up in glory.


Hear Oh Israel, The Lord Thy God is One.

He Proclaims His Glory.

Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Ephesians 2
God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ by grace you have been saved

Why would God do this for His People?

Isaiah 63:7
I will tell of the kindnesses of the LORD, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the LORD has done for us-- yes, the many good things he has done for Israel, according to his compassion and many kindnesses


John 3
6"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17"For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him."

God's Glory is High

Ephesians 3:14-21

14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.


Father God, we have all fallen short of the Commandment You gave us when You opened Your arms as our willing sacrifice. Jesus has the purity of Love and Forgiveness. Father, You are without flaw or sin. We will continue to fail. You are the only One who is Good.

Let us hold ourselves to You, Father God, earnestly for Your mercy. Only You are God and only You Save. And today, we are the Easter People and Alleluia in Jesus is our only song. He continues His work and we press on to the Journey with You, Father God. We call upon the highest name You have given us. In Father God, we go forth. Always our Amen in Jesus as Lord.

Psalm 149 ~ For the Lord takes delight in his people!



Psalm 149


1 Praise the Lord.

Sing to the Lord a new song,
his praise in the assembly of his faithful people.

2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
let the people of Zion be glad in their King.
3 Let them praise his name with dancing
and make music to him with timbrel and harp.

4 For the Lord takes delight in his people!
He crowns the humble with victory!

5 Let his faithful people rejoice in this honor
and sing for joy on their beds!

6 May the praise of God be in their mouths
and a double-edged sword in their hands,
7 to inflict vengeance on the nations
and punishment on the peoples,
8 to bind their kings with fetters,
their nobles with shackles of iron,
9 to carry out the sentence written against them—
this is the glory of all his faithful people.

Praise the Lord.











When the song of the angels is stilled.
When the star in the sky is gone.

The work of Christ(mas) begins:

The find the lost,
To heal the broken,
To feed the hungry,
To release the prisoner,
To rebuild the nations,

We all get one choice to honor God and do His Plan.

To go our own way and do things in selfishness. And do His Plan. One Choice. The plan of God. Just without His Spirit to propel us. To believe the goodness of God love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and gentleness, with self-control.

Reading Psalm 149 causes the one absolute remembrance my oldest son graduated with Political Science - All Governments fall. Making the 2,000 years of Christian Church history an amazing work and wonder of God.

What provides the success of a government? Praise from His faithful people.
What is the need? Prayer. Hope. Faith. Expecting God to act in our lives.

Abraham was known to be bold to the Lord for His Mercy. Let us read this Psalm as Abraham tussles. We know we see injustice in the news a lot. We know people facing injustice. Pray with verve!

We pray for God to provide Mercy. For just punishment to allow the Fruit of the Spirit to flourish. We pray world leaders spreading events not pleasing to a loving God will have God change and bind their heart for His noble purpose. Our God of Love will be praised for justice and his faithful people will see a Godly peace. Pray over the news. Why watch if you are not going to pray? Without prayer nothing is changed. So many men returning from war will tell you they could feel the prayer.

Remembering that Psalm 150 purposefully follows Psalm 149. Not letting our prayers become bogged down. Looking to see the Good.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.

Father God, knowing Your storehouses are not empty. To remember Your willingness to heal. We lift up our hearts, souls, lives to You to direct. Father know all of our soul, body and will. Be our driving force in the Name of Jesus - draw us to You. In Jesus. Amen.
