Reading Scripture helps us know God's Love. Every Bible verse is written for you. Jesus Christ is all mankind's Light. John 1!

John 21:1-17 ~ Jesus revealed Himself

Jesus once said to people seeking a sign, no sign would be given. Matthew 16. Jesus was rolling His eyes at those who needed a sign fed continuously when Jesus is present.

John 21:1-17

Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven!

After this Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias, and he revealed himself in this way. 2 Simon Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together. 3 Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.”

They said to him, “We will go with you.” They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.

4 Just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. 5 Jesus said to them, “Children, do you have any fish?”

They answered him, “No.”

6 He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish. 7

That disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter, “It is the Lord!”

When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea. 8 The other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, but about a hundred yards off.

9 When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it, and bread. 10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.”

11 So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn.

12 Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.”

Now none of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?”
They knew it was the Lord.

13 Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fish. 14 This was now the third time that Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?”

He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.”

He said to him, “Feed my lambs.”

16 He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?”

He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.”

He said to him, “Tend my sheep.”

17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?”

Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.”

Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.

John 21 is Jesus Living God's Word. Peter is able to recognize the Fulfillment of His Word.

Matthew 5:18
For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.

Luke 5:1-11

On one occasion, while the crowd was pressing in on him to hear the word of God, he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret, 2 and he saw two boats by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets.

3 Getting into one of the boats, which was Simon's, he asked him to put out a little from the land. And he sat down and taught the people from the boat. 4 And when he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”

5 And Simon answered, “Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets.” 6 And when they had done this, they enclosed a large number of fish, and their nets were breaking.

7 They signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.

8 But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.” 9 For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish that they had taken, 10 and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon.

And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men.”

11 And when they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed him.

Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. God's Word is Living.  The Good Physician, Luke's Gospel, Chapter 5 records Jesus called Peter to walk with Jesus determines and creates the conversation inspiring Peter. And in the beginning of Peter's ministry, Jesus sets Peter on His Path again. Jesus rises to Life and Peter is Called to Abundant Life as well. Luke doesn't record what John in John's Gospel saw.

The Exodus is not about the Story of Moses. This is Purely a Work of God. The Calling of Peter and the Fulfillment of Peter is not the Story of Peter. We see two of Christ's followers completing what God sees Clearly.

God buries His workmen but carries on His work!

Abba,

You renew our Lives. Your Mercy arrives Daily. You loadeth us with benefits daily The Psalms tell us.

John 17 is Living Word Jesus prays for us.

When Jesus comes on that day to be glorified in His saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.

To this end we always ask Jesus pray for us, that our God may make us worthy of His calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by His Power, that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in us, and you in Jesus, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

In the days of the trumpet call, the mystery of God would be fulfilled, just as He announced to his servants the prophets.

And the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a friend of God." And like Lazarus and his tomb, we want to be called by Jesus as Friend of God.

Abba, Your Word says we pray to see Your Glorious Works be made clear to the next generation and have our children see the Wonders of Your Love and Work. To You belongs, Your Kingdom, Your Power and Your Glory.

Covering our prayer requests to seek and find You and Your Kingdom first, to live in Love, Peace and Joy.

Asking You to Bless our prayer requests and for the continued healing of Elliott, his family and Dee and Jim. And others who have shared their prayers.

And to build our lives in Your Blessings, to Your Glory.

We pray for the world today, Jesus enfold and encourage and protect Your Good Creation and Your Children You call Beloved.

Jesus is Lord, Amen!

Titus 2 ~ Savior Jesus Christ, Who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works

Gortyn is the city on the Island of Crete where Titus, a former Gentile, was probably one of the 72 Disciples of Jesus and lived his life as one the Dispersion of Jews on Crete. Titus was a Bishop and lived to the 2ne Century like the Disciple John. Church Tradition says Paul visited Titus on Crete. Titus has gone to Dalmatia (2 Timothy 4:10).

1 Corinthians 16:10–11
2 Corinthians 2:1
2 Corinthians 2:5–11
2 Corinthians 7:8
2 Corinthians 7:6–15
Titus 1:5
Titus 3:12

Scripture has many ideas. The Scripture for Today Blog describes the ideas held by two millenniums. Pointing to historians based upon Scripture. Personally, I usually believe the traditional and historical views of Scripture.

Heaven is the Work of God!  Heaven, where all discussions will rest. God is Love and Sincere Love from God as our Father is the fulfillment of God. And the Aim. To err on the side of Mercy is what the Posts will go for.

Titus 2

But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine.

2 Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness.

3 Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, 4 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.

6 Likewise, urge the younger men to be self-controlled.

7 Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, 8 and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.

9 Bondservants are to be submissive to their own masters in everything; they are to be well-pleasing, not argumentative, 10 not pilfering, but showing all good faith, so that in everything they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior.

11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people,
12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions,
and to live self-controlled,
upright,
and godly lives in the present age,

13 Waiting for our blessed hope,
the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

14 Who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.

15 Declare these things; exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.

Hebrews 12:1
And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us

The Gospels of Jesus and The New Testament points to peace, health and long life!

Enter Titus!!!

Titus must have done something Good.
Tradition says favor was something Titus had from Jesus. We suppose Titus was one of the 72 Disciples Jesus sent on ahead to Prepare the Way for Jesus and His Ministry. (Favor from God is a pre-existing condition here.)

In John's Gospel, Greeks came to the Disciples and wanted to see our Jesus living and breathing. Filling the world with the exact nature of God. Jesus knew the Jews from Crete wanted Him to move to Crete and be honored. Jesus declined having His Life fulfilling the Living Word of God, as our atonement and salvation.

Jesus wasn't one to forget good hearted mankind. Titus went to Crete and Emperor Domitian never looked to Crete and then the next Emperor, Trajan, known for his philanthropic rule, overseeing extensive public building programs and implementing social welfare policies, which earned him his enduring reputation as the second of the Five Good Emperors who presided over an era of peace and prosperity in the Mediterranean world. Was the peace Crete held during the life of Titus.

Titus is a very wonderful map for Seeking God first, living in Love, Peace and Joy.

Titus 2 is the Word of God. We can look and learn from this Chapter of Titus yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Ecclesiastes 3:1
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven

Daniel 2:21
He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding

Galatians 6:9
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Compare Titus and his longevity and wisdom from God's Holy Spirit. Compare Titus to Joshua. 40 years.

Joshua 24:15
If serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.

Joshua 24:25
On that day Joshua made a covenant for the people, and there at Shechem he reaffirmed for them decrees and laws.

Joshua 24:14
Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD.

Visually Greece is a unique place on earth. The greens, the blues and the white sands. Titus clearly explains God's Word. Like the colors, Titus is Crisp and Clear. Unchanged. Beautiful.

Matthew's Gospel records Jesus being anointed.

Matthew 26:10
Jesus, aware of this, said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a beautiful thing to me."

Titus had done this for Jesus. Walking with Jesus in Awe and wonder.

Genesis 15:1
After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.”

Matthew 5:12
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven

The Reward of Titus and of the Dispersion in Crete.

Matthew 10:42
And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you,
he will by no means lose his reward.

Luke 6:35
Love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return,
and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.

1 Corinthians 3:14
If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward.

The Light Shines in the Darkness. And the darkness has not overcome Light. Jesus Christ.

See the "Art" from the Commencement Address.
God says Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow - His Creation is Good. Scripture tells us to renew our minds. To not adhere to the world. See what He is saying in being Bold as we Love Jesus and Listen to Jesus - The Word of God manifest.

The Scriptures are not practical. Jesus tells us Faith is what a child has. Believe fills The New Testament.

Jesus tells us to pray impudently to the last possible hour. Midnight. Even when we feel God is the unjust Judge. Jesus must really trust God to say this. Luke 18.

Matthew 8:13
And to the centurion Jesus said, “Go; let it be done for you as you have believed.” And the servant was healed at that very moment.

Mark 10:48
Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"

Father God sees you.

Matthew 10:42
And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.”

1 Corinthians 9:17
For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward, but if not of my own will, I am still entrusted with a stewardship.

To purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.
Declare these things; exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.

Abba,

You told Martha to chose the Good portion. Jesus Christ told us no one but God is Good.

We ask You, Father God,
to fill us with Jesus Christ.

In Your Abundant Life, we do actions, conversations and lives repeating daily. Help us to hold on in Faith

to Your Daily Mercy. To build up to Living Stones. A Holy Priesthood where our lives bring You Joy.

Enable and fill us with Your Holy Spirit and we will see whatever is pure, what ever is holy and our minds will renew

to the Glory of Jesus Christ.

In Your Kingdom, Power and Glory let us be like David seeing Your favor resting on our lives and continuing

to Hold up the Love and Light of Jesus Christ to our generations. To see Your Goodness and Love Endure Forever.

In The Love and Grace of Jesus to live to seek You First. And in Jesus to have Love, Peace and Joy fill our Lives.

The Surpassing Grace of You, our Father God, Your Daily Inexpressible Gift, Help us to have Your eyes and find ourselves enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us, You will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God

To Jesus Christ be the New Heaven Given to You, the new earth, The Kingdom of God for His Power and Glory.

Thanks be to God for Jesus Christ. Amen.

1 Peter 1 ~ Rejoice

Imagine the Songs we will know in Heaven. Songs from the Exodus. Songs from the Temple. Songs from the Second Exile in Babylon. Songs sung to rebuild the Temple. Songs from the catacombs in Rome from early Christians, like Peter. Songs of the Dispersion after Jesus rose to Life again. Songs unwritten today.

1 Peter 1

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,

To those who are elect exiles of the Dispersion
in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, 2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood:

May grace and peace be multiplied to you.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, 5 who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

8 Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, 9 obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, 11 inquiring what person or time the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. 12 It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look.

13 Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, 15 but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” 17 And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one's deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile, 18 knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. 20 He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you 21 who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

22 Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, 23 since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God; 24 for

“All flesh is like grass
and all its glory like the flower of grass.
The grass withers,
and the flower falls,
25 but the word of the Lord remains forever.”

And this word is the good news that was preached to you.

Titus and Timothy were part of the Dispersion. They lived to be quite old. Both were in different areas of Greece.

Peter is so alive in the Gospels, we feel love and kinship with Peter. And this is where Peter puts all of his life with Jesus first. His beloved in this Chapter - well, Peter is singing to the Choir.

These are Peter's Beloved. Some of the Dispersion mentioned here are the 72 Disciples sent ahead by Jesus during His Ministry. Some were the Greeks who traveled to Jerusalem to meet Jesus while He was in Ministry.

Paul and Peter decided to split the known world into two categories to begin telling the Good News of Jesus Christ. Peter was given the Jews and these are the Jews who Believed Jesus Christ and left all they knew to tell of the Glory and Love and Grace and Mercy of Jesus Christ, Son of God.

This Chapter is for the Choir!

And in this difficulty, the Angels are enamored to see all of this History unfolding to the Angels in Prophetic Glory. In other words, Daniel could feel the interest of the Angels in the Second Exile. Peter knew.

Consider what Peter knew and understood and had seen, witnessed and felt as Peter told of the Holy Spirit:

His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living hope

imperishable, undefiled, and unfading  - inheritance in Heaven

Rejoice  praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ

Grace to be yours

The witness of Peter the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. John 21

Through Jesus are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, 23 since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God.

It does not matter if this is yesterday or 100 years or millenniums.

The word of the Lord remains forever.

Abba,

Jesus is the Word of God made Manifest. Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.

Romans 15
Through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.

For I tell you that Christ became a servant to the circumcised to show God's truthfulness, in order to confirm the promises given to the patriarchs, 9 and in order that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written,

“Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles,
and sing to your name.”

And again it is said,

“Rejoice, O Gentiles, with his people.”

And again,

“Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles,
and let all the peoples extol him.”

Abba, Thank You for giving us Your Word. We pray for more Heaven on earth. For Your Good Will. Thank You for this Day. Help us to build Your Blessings and hold our Truth. Give us the Blessing of Seeking You First. Let us live in Love, Joy and Peace.

Cover us in the Love and Mercy of Jesus and His Name. We ask this for our Nation and the nations coming to Your Brightness. We ask all Your willing Blessings for ourselves and our Loved ones.

Help the ones we Love to be guided and blessed by You .

Please bless Elliott and Dee with good health. Bless Jim. And for those caring for the ill. For our families to live in Love and be Your Pleasure.

Jesus is God. Amen.

Colossians 3:1-17 ~ Christ in all †

Colossians 3:1-17

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

5 Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 On account of these the wrath of God is coming. 7 In these you too once walked, when you were living in them. 8 But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices

10 And have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.  Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free;
Christ is all,
and in all.

12 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, 13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Today ~ I decided to take a vacation. This has been the worst year. 3 Terminally ill people in the family, another with a significant health concern, new financial decisions, all conversations lead to these topics in an ever rolling loop.

And I did the work I needed to do for today and had an evening to spend by myself. I turned on the Christmas Lights outside my den and found this photo took inside and outside and made a delightful blend. The throw knitted by Mary. The little antique lamp from ebay for Christmas, now part of our every day.

Alexander cooked cider, Edward looked at his computer and I decided to place worry far away. Being thankful for today.

I've been asked to pray at 3 p.m.
This is for all the people we have prayer requests for who are ill. This is a prayer chain. Lifting up the health care system and people around the world. Our own prayer concerns regarding health. This feels superb, to know prayers are joining people we care about, who are also praying. I've set an alarm on my phone for 3 pm. Praying at the same time is so comforting. It reminds me of Daniel praying for his people - God's People. God's Love resounding through the Heavenly Hosts, becoming part of our every day.  Join us if you'd like!

At noon, our local Christian radio prays the Lord's Prayer and prays for the Nation. Great year to pray for the Nation. The Battle belongs to God. Thanksgiving for God for amazing wonders He has seen our Nation through. For our eyes to be aware of the Glory of our Father God.

Being renewed.
Two weeks ago the stock market was at an all time high. And then the virus was heard of and spread.
As quickly as Ash Wednesday follows Mardi Gras, we saw a change. Seasons change.  The Glory of God is that Life is in Mardi Gras and Life is in Ash Wednesday.

We should look at our fears, understand, pray, roll the waves of life, throw the dice and go forward in Jesus Christ. Why is it people Nationally in the Pew Report complain about Ash Wednesday being creepy to look at death. When Halloween has so much macabre - Home Depot employees complain they have to look away from the decorations. I fully understand cleaning a place where our loved ones rest, but do not understand celebrating the Day of the Dead. How much joy is in Life in Mardi Gras and how much Peace, Valor, Comfort, Promise is in Ash Wednesday.

The Coronavirus (Texanas who drink wonderful Corona Beer Will Never Forget (or misspell) arrives with coincidence as Ash Wednesday is already planned. I vastly prefer the Hope we find in Jesus Christ.

Bearing with one another.
Hasn't the Coronavirus created a dialog. Lots of Conversations. Stocks decide to have upsets, not seen since 2008. And the jitters create conversations of life and death and children and the aged. Yet the stock market is considering the flow and ease of trade, tourism, ease of buying. We then extrapolate this as inner knowledge and fear life and death.

More Life is going to be considered thoughtfully.
Life for the elderly, the young and for what we want the day to be when we have our own Day of the Lord. Be with us, Dear Lord Jesus, now and at the hour of our passing.

The Lord's Prayer considers this. Give us this day. Jesus tells us every purpose of His is Joy. And this becomes:

We are finding: Give us the Day

Life is going to slow down some. Airplanes will be less crowded and trips are planned by automobile. New concerns for family are causing more phone calls. Families will band together generationally to create recovery. The stock market will go down and then there will follow a period of Recovery.

Romans 8:28
God is interweaving all things for good for those who Love the Lord and work according to His Purpose.

Abba,

The Light shines in the darkness. And the darkness has not overcome it.

We will be grateful for this day. We will say with verve: Give us this Day! And find many reasons to be grateful.

We will ask You, Father, to help, allow, guide, lead, encourage and protect us to Seek Your Kingdom first. We would ask You to fill our lives with Love, Peace and Joy. The Comforter to pour out a God sized Blessing upon us as we Pray for one another.

Jesus praying for us, as in John 17. Thank You.

Giving thanks for answered prayer for Elliott and his family, Dee and Wayne and Jim. So grateful to You, for all our prayers heard with Your Loving Compassion.

Jesus is so Merciful. Amen.

Zechariah 2:8-13 ~ Behold

Zechariah 2:8-13

For thus said the Lord of hosts, after his glory sent me to the nations who plundered you, for he who touches you touches the apple of his eye:
9 “Behold, I will shake my hand over them, and they shall become plunder for those who served them. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me.

10 Sing and rejoice,
O daughter of Zion, for behold, I come and I will dwell in your midst, declares the Lord. 11 And many nations shall join themselves to the Lord in that day, and shall be my people. And I will dwell in your midst, and you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you.

12 And the Lord will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem.”

13 Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord, for he has roused himself from his holy dwelling.

Hannah saved up all her prayers and knew to arrive before the Lord.

Samuel who has walked instep with the Lord so many times,  so many years mistakenly thinks Hannah is drunk. Proving God is the One who is Perfect. Because the Lord is the focus, the purpose of the Prayer is still placed upon the Lord.

With the Coronavirus, we all have concerns. And regardless if the news says no, or yes, or quarantine or relax. Regardless.

John 1

Philip said to him, “Come and see.”

47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit!”

48 Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?”

Jesus answered him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

49 Nathanael answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”

50 Jesus answered him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.”

We asked to be Covered and Blessed in
The Name of Jesus Christ.

In all Prayers, we can simply Pray, "Jesus" and the Holy Spirit will understand.
Father God will carry us.

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He has saved all who call upon His name and rely on Him for His Grace. The Scriptures are living & active and are for understanding the Lord Almighty. Biblical readings are chosen from the Ecumenical Christian Church and the Nicene Council, 325 A.D., approved Apocrypha. People remember not just from reading, but by sight and orally- an image has been added as well as audio readings. God tends to link the passages together with fascinates - this blogger, Anne-Laurel Gardere

A simple blog, scripture-for-today.blogspot

This blog is pretty simple, but for a reason. This blog isn't about agenda or me, it is for the joy and love to found by reading the Scriptures. Ultimately, it is you and the Lord.

The Scriptures are Father God's letter to you. He wanted you to know more, to know He loves you.

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
