Psalm 90 ~ Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us

The same stars Moses and the Children of Israel stood and gazed upon - is our sky.

Psalm 90

Lord, you have been our dwelling place
in all generations.

Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever you had formed the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

You return man to dust

and say, “Return, O children of man!”
For a thousand years in your sight
are but as yesterday when it is past,
or as a watch in the night.
5 You sweep them away as with a flood; they are like a dream,
like grass that is renewed in the morning:
6 in the morning it flourishes and is renewed;
in the evening it fades and withers.
7 For we are brought to an end by your anger;
by your wrath we are dismayed.

8 You have set our iniquities before you,

our secret sins in the light of your presence.
9 For all our days pass away under your wrath;
we bring our years to an end like a sigh.
10 The years of our life are seventy,
or even by reason of strength eighty;
yet their span is but toil and trouble;
they are soon gone, and we fly away.

11 Who considers the power of your anger,

and your wrath according to the fear of you?

12 So teach us to number our days

that we may get a heart of wisdom.

13 Return, O Lord! How long?

Have pity on your servants!

14 Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love,

that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

15 Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us,

and for as many years as we have seen evil.

16 Let your work be shown to your servants,

and your glorious power to their children.

17 Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,

and establish the work of our hands upon us;
yes, establish the work of our hands!

This Psalm is unique - it is a Psalm of Moses.

Moses talked about Life doing amazing Works of God is dismaying. And then Moses asked Father God to make life have happiness.

The Exodus story is the story of life.

When we are conceived the impossible happens, a green flash of light of conception and Life has begun. The amazing building process of a new life - a new Child of God. Birth happens. And our journey continues.

Struggles happen. The Children of Israel live in a temporary world with anything that could cause life to end - because life is so fragile. And in the journey, God makes our days possible, we walk with dry feet upon the floor where the ocean once stood. Along the way, some will worry and become bitter. And they will not reach eternal life. In this process, a Golden Calf is built and loyalties change.

This is life. The goal is to be the Prodigal Son and find the way home.

And how will we find the Joy of the Lord is our Strength?

To be pleased with today. To see life is fragile. To be glad for the Blessings the Hand of God would bring today. To enjoy the season.

Reality - life in a tent with few of anything you know - is difficult. The Children of God complained about real things. And if we trust God, like Abraham - we can move the merciful Hand of God. Jesus told us to pray with Hope.

Our best and highest - where Jesus told us to place our cares -
In my most recent Prayer Group, we talked and prayed about people who survived Cancer even in the 4th stage. What happened? For most of them, they lived, and then they lived a little bit longer. And every day they found they Lived. The man in our group who survived cancer twice with 4th stage lung cancer said he thanked God for his health. 500 times a day.

Moses asked God to be happy in the Journey. And we know at one point, Jethro and Moses' wife and sons arrived. Maybe this Psalm is the record of Moses spoke with Father God about happiness.

Without a doubt, this is a Psalm complaining to God. We have read the hand of woe and the hand of Blessing are from God. And the Psalm turns to remembering God is Father of us all. God of Love. God of encouragement. God Still Working and Jesus Still Working today.

The stars are the same. The Word of God according to the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Nature of God - Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow - are unchanging. The Mercy and Love God has are Alive and Well. God of the Living. To know the Scriptures and the Power of God.

Faith, Hope and Love - With Love being Best. Our Father God.

Abba,

Father God we ask Your Blessings today and always. Especially as we pray this far flung prayer:

Moses and the Children of God moved a large Rock with their Journey. And from this Very Large Rock, living water would flow and the Children of Israel had Living Water. We are told in the New Testament this Living Water spoke of Jesus and His abundance.

Jesus is the Rock. Our Rock and our Foundation. And Jesus is Man. Fully Man. Jesus would know and remember just as He remembered Abraham - that Jesus would want to sail the Sea of Galilee.

We would pray in our seasons of desert to remember to ask for Abundant Living Water - as much as the Sea of Galilee. And know as we ask - Jesus loves us to know the Scriptures and the Power of God.

To pray with Hope and pray in conversation unceasing. God is Love! To Proclaim Love is to Proclaim God and what a Blessing. Our God. Our Father. Our Jesus. Love.

We would pray a Sea of Galilee of all Your Blessings for our Loved ones. We would pray God fill us all running over and pouring over us - Your Willing and Vast Blessings. We would fill our Nation trusting in You with Your Blessings. Still Pouring the love of God and His Holy Spirit filling all the Nations and the believers all over praying for more Heaven on earth.

The Willing Heart of God is ours. The Willing Love of God is ours. The ear of God is willing and His Plans are a Hope and Future.

In Jesus Christ. In Jesus God. In God's Son - Jesus - Amen.

Matthew 1:8 ~ The Father

We rely on Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni's Sistine Chapel ceiling to make our point today.

Matthew 1:8

8 Asaph the father of Jehoshaphat, and Jehoshaphat the father of Joram, and Joram the father of Uzziah

And man shall live by every Word of the Bible. Jesus told us this in Matthew 4:4. And then we have Posts where the beautiful and highlighted words flow in us like Living Water. What is the difference? Jesus fulfills every dot and every iota of the Word of God. Jesus tells us this in Matthew 5:18. Does the Word of God conflict. No, the Word of God is Living Water and flows together as the streams and rivers and oceans do. The Word of God makes a fabulous analogy here. There are times streams want water, other times they are filled to overflowing - we well know the Ocean is changeable due to the winds.

John 3:8
8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.

Jesus answers this analogy too - the wind and the waves obey Jesus. Solomon called this the hand of woe and the hand of Blessing are from Father God. Saying - the seasons of life and their challenges draw us to the wisdom of God. If we see answers to the questions we have in life - The Bible is going to have a Word to tell us of God and our difficulties.

We could breeze on past Matthew 1:8. And yet Jesus said every Word of God is important. Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni thought so. The Sistine Chapel is not filled with all the people of the Bible. This was important to Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni.

The wind of curiosity. Why? Why is this important to Michelangelo?

The Geneology of Joseph. Through David and the Kings. The Kings of  Israel/Judah are simply a family tree and how the generations mix and change.

Preparing us - our parents and our children - cannot count on similar lives. Even in the robe wearing days - the generations wove in and out like needlepoint. God is going to define the generations. This doesn't suggest not loving each other - this is saying prepare for change.

Asa - Asa is a very good man and he is here for 41 years. What changes come from being in one place for a long time. Michelangelo know the Vatican was not going to wrap up quickly.

Asa is a King of Judah know for wholehearted devotion. Michelangelo was known to love his work and grow more devoted to God for preparing these works for His House.

Jehoshaphat - Michelangelo never heard the phrase "Jumping Jehoshaphat" it is a product of entertainment. Michelangelo's interest is going to be deeper. Michelangelo is at the whim of popes, but he was raised - handed out to his nanny and her laborer husband. Michelangelo has seen a wide variety of life and social obligations. He is painting for God and battling for placement and denied his marble for his art.

Jehoshaphat - is a man for our modern age. He isn't orphaned or shoved on the throne too young. He has had time to observe the ways of life before his talents put him forth. He is of age at the throne at thirty-five and reigned for twenty-five years. He spent the first years of his reign fortifying his kingdom against the Kingdom of Israel. A man, a believer, a king of peace and prosperity. How to get things done at the top. Where are the sink holes.

This would grab the attention of Michelangelo.

What happens next - Michelangelo is fifty years away from death when he completes the ceiling. He is going to deal with more Popes, more generations, more artists. What is happening around him as generations change?

Jehoram - Generationally raised in faith, this man is far more interested in power. Perfect for those in Rome swirling around the Vatican for power itself. Out of the blue - Jehoram = remembered as one of the most decidedly wicked kings in Judah's history. His first official act as king was to murder his brothers as rivals. His reign starts out as co-regent as his father and grandfather - but he murders as he is free to do so.

Jehoram throws in with Ahab of Israel.

Abba,

We ask Your Blessings, in Jesus. Your Willing Blessings.

In this season of gifts and gift giving, we give thanks for grace. You have saved us through faith. And this is not our own doing; This is the gift of God.

With Your help, we will be strong and courageous as Michelangelo did in the building of St. Peter's. We will not be frightened of events, nor dismayed. For the Lord our God is with us wherever we will go. Knowing how many generations have looked to God to find their Path.

Cover us with Your Blessings, Love and Mercy. Cover our Loved ones. We lift up the trauma of fire in California and ask You to end the fires. We lift up our Churches. Communities. States. To the Nation. And Your gracious Plan to save the world in Jesus Christ. We ask more Heaven on earth for the people praying around the world. In Jesus. Amen.

Hebrews 13 ~ Let brotherly love continue!!!

Hebrews 13

1 Let brotherly love continue.

The Word of God records the fellowship of the Disciples and the Family of Jesus Continues.

2 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Paul certainly records with Luke that angel visitations happened.  Even in Prison, Jesus was there to lead, comfort and guide and heal.

3 Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.

4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

Peter was not un-married, nor did Jesus ever ask him to be single. The men, and sister-in-laws of Jesus all traveled to bring the Good News.

5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6 So we can confidently say,
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear;
what can man do to me?”

Jesus was seen to be the Love and the Promises. The Word of Life.

7 Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Paul wanted Governor Felix to know Jesus. Felix was to suffer the loss of his family when Pompeii was destroyed. Paul's gift of Jesus is lasting.

9 Do not be led away by diverse and strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, which have not benefited those devoted to them. 10 We have an altar from which those who serve the tent have no right to eat.

The least popular teaching of Jesus was to eat His Body and drink His Blood. Today we rely upon the Grace of Jesus in Communion. His Disciples bravely continued in what Jesus had told them to teach.

11 For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the holy places by the high priest as a sacrifice for sin are burned outside the camp. 12 So Jesus also suffered outside the gate in order to sanctify the people through his own blood. 13 Therefore let us go to him outside the camp and bear the reproach he endured.

Jesus changes lives. The men hid and then with multitudes, praised the Eternal Victory of Jesus.

14 For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come.

The House of Jesus has many rooms.

15 Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. 16 Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.

Thank You, Father God for the Love Jesus has for us today.

17 Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.

Beloved, let us love one another for Love is of God. This is the Commandment of Jesus.

18 Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a clear conscience, desiring to act honorably in all things. 19 I urge you the more earnestly to do this in order that I may be restored to you the sooner.

Father, help us to live the way, the truth, the Life Jesus wants for us. Amen.

20 Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead

our Lord Jesus,
the great shepherd of the sheep,
by the blood of the eternal covenant,
21 equip you with everything good that you may do his will,
working in us [you] that which is pleasing in his sight,
through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

2 Corinthians 1:20
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God.

22 I appeal to you, brothers, [brothers and sisters] hear with my word of exhortation, for I have written to you briefly. 23 You should know that our brother Timothy has been released, with whom I shall see you if he comes soon.

24 Greet all your leaders and all the saints. Those who come from Italy send you greetings. 25 Grace be with all of you.

Amazing things … Paul believed and wrote about. His promises were all complete even after Jesus Christ returned to Heaven. Paul believes the same things that happened to Abraham 2-3,000 years ago,  still occurs.

Some of the most important points in this chapter - the promises of God toward those who have preached the Good News. Paul is saying we can recall God has rewarded those individuals who have believed, lived and preached the good news. And in my life, I can say I do remember the reward of those who have believed. Sometimes seriously unhappy things have occurred to those preaching the Good News, but not permanent things to eternity. Just as Hebrews tell us, they have not been permanently flattened:

Hebrews 11:32-40

32 And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets— 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. 35 Women received back their dead by resurrection. Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might rise again to a better life. 36 Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37 They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were killed with the sword. They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated— 38 of whom the world was not worthy—wandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

Proverbs 24:16

Though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again,
but the wicked are brought down by calamity.

Revelations 3:5
He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels.

We are correct to pray for each other and our spiritual leaders. May Father God equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us [you] that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Abba, Father GOD,

Thank You for Your Blessings.  Sincerely and Profoundly. Thank You, Jesus Christ our Lord and God, wearing high heels does not hurt my back. Mobility is continuing to improve. Blessings of health. 2 years ago, I said I would love to feel not dizzy ever again from my ears or my eyesight. That would be lovely. Father God, This Is Very Lovely. Thank You. Father God.

Bless us to have a Life of the Fruit of Your Holy Spirit that we will please You Father and find the Joy that was Yours so well.

Your Love encompasses the earth. Your Beloved believe and the earth is in conversation, prayer and blessings from Your Holy Spirit. The Nations trusting in You, are comforted in Your Love and Goodness. In the last ten years 2/3rds of the world declared Jesus is God and they believe.

Our Nation holds 85% believers knowing You Love and hear prayers. We are the People who have 78% of our Nation hold Jesus Christ as Your first born of Creation and Most Important Human and God. 55% of our Nation pray everyday knowing Your Love and Mercy. 38% of Your People believe they are Highly Guided in all they do and say and consider themselves Beloved Sincerely in all things by You.

And in Your Mighty Love, we know You uphold the Universe by Your Word. In the Glory of God and in Your Power and Word, we believe You cherish, guide and direct us and safely hold those we Love.

In the Highest Name of Jesus Christ, we say God's Good Will, Amen.

Psalm 67 ~ His Face to shine upon us

Psalm 67

1 May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, Selah

We always want God's face to shine upon us. This sounds marvelous. Moses had his face shine to meet and know God. The radiance of Jesus in Revelation. Jesus is the Light of the world. And also John knew God as Love. To see this Love is to reflect Love and radiate love. Jesus has a shining face because He loves. Jesus is the exact nature of Father God. Jesus heals them all is in the Bible 3 times. Father God heals us all.

Selah! In the original Greek this is "Opa!!!" Or in plain English, "Oh, Pa!" And frequently bursts from us as, "Thank God!!!"

2 For your way may be known on earth!
your saving power among all nations!

The Savior of the world. Light from God, Light of the world. Painted by Dore.

Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you!
Let the nations be glad and sing for joy,
for you judge the peoples with equity
and guide the nations upon earth. Selah

The Yield of the Earth, Vespers, by Millet

The earth has yielded its increase

God, our God, shall bless us.
God shall bless us

Let all the ends of the earth fear him!

Abba, Holy Father, our Father God,

Psalm 115
The LORD is mindful of us; He will bless us.

Father, this Thanksgiving, remind us to be mindful of our Blessings. You have blessed us
in Your Deeds and Psalm 139 tells us Your thoughts of us are more than grains of sand on the beach.

Let us hold fast to Your Love. And in doing so bring more Heaven to earth. We say gently, "Jesus please" and Your thoughts before us and behind us, know of our heart.

The fullness of You, our Father God, fill those we love. Carrying this Blessing across our lives and lift to the Nation. To all the Nations trusting in You. Our own Light of Christ joins with the Beloved of God and this small light glows bringing Your Love and Warmth to Your Creation.

In the Highest Name of Jesus, our God and Savior, we pray - Amen.

Isaiah 51:1-12 ~ Your Father

Isaiah 51:1-12

“Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness,
you who seek the Lord:
look to the rock from which you were hewn,
and to the quarry from which you were dug.

2 Look to Abraham your father
and to Sarah who bore you;
for he was but one when I called him,
that I might bless him and multiply him.

3 For the Lord comforts Zion
he comforts all her waste places
and makes her wilderness like Eden,
her desert like the garden of the Lord;
joy and gladness will be found in her,
thanksgiving and the voice of song.

 “Give attention to me,
my people,
and give ear to me,
 my nation;
for a law will go out from me,
and I will set my justice
for a light to the peoples.

5 My righteousness draws near,
my salvation has gone out,
and my arms will judge the peoples;
the coastlands hope for me,
and for my arm
they wait.

6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens,
and look at the earth beneath

For the heavens vanish like smoke,
the earth will wear out like a garment,
and they who dwell in it will die in like manner

My salvation will be forever,
and my righteousness will never be dismayed.

7 “Listen to me, you who know righteousness,
the people in whose heart is my law;
fear not the reproach of man,
nor be dismayed at their revilings.

8 For the moth will eat them up like a garment,
and the worm will eat them like wool,
My righteousness will be forever,
and my salvation to all generations.”

9 Awake, awake, put on strength,
O arm of the Lord

Awake, as in days of old,
the generations of long ago.

Was it not you who cut Rahab in pieces,
who pierced the dragon?
10 Was it not you who dried up the sea,
the waters of the great deep,
who made the depths of the sea a way
for the redeemed to pass over?

11 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return
and come to Zion with singing;
everlasting joy shall be upon their heads;
they shall obtain gladness and joy,
and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

12 “I, I am he who comforts you"

Listen, pursue righteousness

Bless and Multiply

Joy and Gladness
Thanksgiving and Song

My Justice
My Nation
a Light to the Peoples

Righteousness
Salvation
Coastlands
Hope

Lift up your eyes to the heavens,
and look at the earth beneath

dwell
die

My salvation will be forever

and my righteousness will never be dismayed

Listen
Righteousness
Heart

My righteousness will be forever,
and my salvation to all generations

Awake
Strength
Awake
Generations

Made the depths of the sea a way
for the redeemed to pass over

Return
Singing
Everlasting Joy
Gladness and Joy

Jesus, God's Son, Comforts you

Abba, our Abba,

We want each day to start with Jesus. We ask Your Willing Blessings. Saying Jesus God, please go with me. By the Power of the Holy Spirit - Guide, Lead, Encourage, Teach, Help, Prevail, Equip me with my life today. Enable. Protect. Give Wisdom. We want to be with Jesus. Because on His Path is going to find our Hope, Joy, Faith, Peace, Love.

Jesus is able to do so much more than we even imagine. Jesus is God who fed thousands with less than a meal. We want to live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.' To all who did receive Jesus, who believed in His Name, He gave the right to become children of God, Who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

We want the Word made flesh to dwell within us, and we have seen Jesus Glory. Glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. From Jesus' fullness, we have all received, grace upon grace. Not from works, for man to boast. Purely from the Love God has for us. And He became our salvation and righteousness.

We pray for the oceans to provide the needed rain for the West Coast. We ask for a miracle.

We cover all of our cares and people we love - with the Highest Name - Jesus. Amen.

John 1 ~ The Living Word is with God

Mosaic, probably of Alexander the Great. In a fifth century Synagogue in
Huqoq, Israel.

In 20014, Alexander, my youngest son, was in Yaquq known to archeologists as Huqoq, Israel. And Alexander found a 4th century coin with Baylor, and a team from the University of North Carolina.

Tyre was an Island - Before Alexander the Great decided to make more mainland.

In 332 B.C., Alexander besieged, defeated and created Tyre into the mainland from formerly being an island and Gaza in his march toward Egypt.

During this campaign, he turned toward Jerusalem. This had been recorded in Scriptures by Ezekiel 400 years early prophetically. Alexander the Great had already demanded men and supplies from the Jews, who were under the rule of Alexander's mortal enemy, the Persian king Darius. The high priest hesitated, saying that while Darius lived they would honor their pledge. Alexander was angry and began a move on the city.

Well aware of the danger, Jaddua asked the people for prayer to God for His mercy and protection.

Then, says Josephus, Jaddua had a dream as to how to entreat the Macedonian king. He and the other priests dressed in their priestly robes and, accompanied by others dressed in white garments, formed a procession going out of the city to a carefully chosen place to meet the Alexander the Great.

Alexander then did the unexpected.

Alone, he approached the high priest and members of the procession and greeted them.

He bowed down.

Alexander said: "I did not adore him, but that God who hath honoured him with his high priesthood; for I saw this very person in a dream, in this very habit [garment], when I was at Dios in Macedonia, who, when I was considering with myself how I might obtain the dominion of Asia, exhorted me to make no delay, but boldly to pass over the sea thither, for that he would conduct my army, and would give me the dominion over the Persians; whence it is, that having seen no other in that habit, and now seeing this person in it, and remembering that vision, and the exhortation which I had in my dream, I believe that I bring this army under the divine conduct, and shall therewith conquer Darius, and destroy the power of the Persians, and that all things will succeed according to what is in my own mind" (Josephus, Antiquities of the Jews, Book 11, chap. 8, sec. 5, William Whiston translation, 1981).

Josephus records Alexander accompanied the priest into Jerusalem and Temple, where he "offered sacrifice to God, according to the high priest's direction, and magnificently treated both the high priest and the priests."

Alexander's visit was capped by a briefing from the book of Daniel, written several centuries earlier, which foretold the rise and conquests of Alexander. "And when the book of Daniel was shewed him, wherein Daniel declared that one of the Greeks should destroy the empire of the Persians, he supposed that himself was the person intended; and as he was then glad, he dismissed the multitude."

What Alexander the Great encountered was, of course, the Living God. This is what we hope for our children and our loved ones to realize about Jesus.

The Apocrypha is debunked frequently.

Josephus would have said this is a mistake to debunk the Apocrypha. Without the history lessons from the Apocrypha, we would not have miraculous Hanukkah recorded. We would not have Biblical explanations for more miracles of God that led to Zeus not being sacrificed to in the Temple. We would not know of the heroism of Judas Maccabees. We would lose the understanding Jeremiah fully Knew to hide the Ark of the Covenant sealed until God unseals the Ark from Mount Nebo (from the Greek word ἀπόκρυφος, apókruphos, meaning "hidden"), where Moses stopped and did not enter the promised land. Without the Apocrypha, history wouldn't explain the Herods easily, we wouldn't know the coins of Israel / Judah depicted and image the first time of a non-Davidic king declaring majesty over the Children of God. The time had come for the Messiah.

Until 1534, the Apocrypha was  recorded as part of Scripture. St. Nicolas risked life and limb to meet with Bishops to agree what the Holy Spirit would call Scripture for a Church Jesus was prophetic to say existed.

Among the Dead Sea Scrolls were a number of manuscripts of the Apocrypha.

And yes,  parts of the Apocrypha are unlikely seeming, or as if they appeal to Asian worshipers.  Scripture is factual - and - God's Word appeals to - the intended people of God.

Yes, the language was merely of the written, spoken words of the people of God. Greek. How unlike God? God did not say He sent His only begotten son to the Hebrew speaking world. God sent His people into the second exile (why they were returning well treated from Emperor Darius) and to the people like Alexander the Great.

Why? GOD was on a mission. A God sized Mission - to save - the - World.

Alexander the Great made sure as he was dying to enter Palace of Nebuchadnezzar II (400 year deceased) - Alexander was trying to find a way to die near someone near God who had experienced a Prophetic life. Nebuchadnezzar II was seen by Isaiah 200 years before he lived in Isaiah 13. Reaching for God and His love. Seeking the Living God.

John 1 says something very profound about this Discovery TODAY.

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Alexander was told about what Daniel had to say about Alexander the Great. Because they wanted Alexander to believe. They probably forgot to tell Alexander the Great what was said about making Tyre into a rubble.

Ezekiel told about that prophecy.

Ezekiel 26 announces the destruction of Tyre (Ezekiel was the prophet who announced a head of time what Nebuchadnezzar would do) , Ezekiel 27 asks for a prayer for the beautiful Tyre. Combine the two chapters, you have a wonderful example of God's mercy.

Ezekiel 27:1-4

1 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
2 Now, thou son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyrus;
3 And say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entry of the sea, which art a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty. 4 Thy borders are in the midst of the seas, thy builders have perfected thy beauty.

Tyre, Lebanon today - the coast and southern half are devoid of population and are in ruins.

Ezekiel 26:1-14 ~ (Revised Standard Version)

In the eleventh year, on the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came to me:
"Son of man, because Tyre said concerning Jerusalem, `Aha, the gate of the peoples is broken, it has swung open to me; I shall be replenished, now that she is laid waste,' therefore thus says the Lord GOD:

Behold, I am against you, O Tyre, and will bring up many nations against you, as the sea brings up its waves. They shall destroy the walls of Tyre, and break down her towers; and I will scrape her soil from her, and make her a bare rock.

She shall be in the midst of the sea a place for the spreading of nets; for I have spoken, says the Lord GOD; and she shall become a spoil to the nations;
and her daughters on the mainland shall be slain by the sword. Then they will know that I am the LORD.

"For thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I will bring upon Tyre from the north Nebuchadrez'zar king of Babylon, king of kings, with horses and chariots, and with horsemen and a host of many soldiers.

He will slay with the sword your daughters on the mainland; he will set up a siege wall against you, and throw up a mound against you, and raise a roof of shields against you. He will direct the shock of his battering rams against your walls, and with his axes he will break down your towers. His horses will be so many that their dust will cover you; your walls will shake at the noise of the horsemen and wagons and chariots, when he enters your gates as one enters a city which has been breached. With the hoofs of his horses he will trample all your streets; he will slay your people with the sword; and your mighty pillars will fall to the ground.

They will make a spoil of your riches and a prey of your merchandise; they will break down your walls and destroy your pleasant houses; your stones and timber and soil they will cast into the midst of the waters.

And I will stop the music of your songs, and the sound of your lyres shall be heard no more.

I will make you a bare rock; you shall be a place for the spreading of nets; you shall never be rebuilt; for I the LORD have spoken, says the Lord GOD.

God laments Tyre.

Where?
The Huqoq Excavation Project is excavating a fifth-century A.D. synagogue at Huqoq, an ancient village in Israel’s Lower Eastern Galilee located three miles west of Magdala (home of Mary Magdalene) and Capernaum Jesus' hometown.

Because?
In reality, God is reaching to all of His Creation. To discover, just as Alexander the Great, God is is found when He is sought.

Because... Because?

And Today. Today. Today. God still has Tyre as a desolation explaining the Word of God goes on forever.

Why say John 1 contributes to the Passage?
The Word of God points to the same message from the Father. The tributaries run to the streams, the streams to the river, the River becomes the Ocean.

Jesus did not stay on as a Warrior King. Jesus Christ, Messiah, instead Jesus fought for all of us.

God defended Hezekiah - and his God seeking, earnest nation against the Assyrian Empire.
God defended returning Judah freed slaves as the wall surrounding Jerusalem was made safe.

God defended Judah from Alexander the Great after fulfilling the Word of God as told by Daniel and Ezekiel in the Holy Spirit.

Luke 2:14
"Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests."

Father God,

We will with Your Help me be one of Your numbers, when the saints go marching in.

And my family. For the Churches of Jesus Christ. My loved ones and even the people we wait upon in prayer for His favor to create harmony.

Bless us to rejoice on all of His Saints asking God's favor for more Peace on earth. For this nation and all nations trusting in Him. His mercy is over all.

When a man loves the Lord, even his enemies are at peace with him.
We ask in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

About scripture-for-today.blogspot.com/

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He has saved all who call upon His name and rely on Him for His Grace. The Scriptures are living & active and are for understanding the Lord Almighty. Biblical readings are chosen from the Ecumenical Christian Church and the Nicene Council, 325 A.D., approved Apocrypha. People remember not just from reading, but by sight and orally- an image has been added as well as audio readings. God tends to link the passages together with fascinates - this blogger, Anne-Laurel Gardere

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
