Psalm 91 ~ you will not fear the terror

Psalm 91

1 He who
dwells
in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say to the LORD,
"My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

3 For he will
deliver you
from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.

5 You will not
fear the terror
of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.

7 A thousand may fall
at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

8 You will only look
with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked.

9 Because you have made the LORD your dwelling place-- the Most High, who is my refuge-- 10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard
you in all your ways. 12 On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. 13 You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.

14 "Because he holds fast to me in love,
I will
deliver him;

I will protect him,
because he knows my name. 1

5 When he calls to me,
I will answer him;

I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.

16 With long life I will
satisfy him
and show him my salvation."

Matthew Henry lived a quiet life towards the end of the 1600s. As a child, age 3, he read the Bible and always loved the Bible. His own father was a cleric and Matthew was inspired by his father's prayer life - how much his beloved and loved cleric father - who loved God the Father. Matthew was inspired, using his life to tell of his love for God.

Our God, as Father, is Life Changing.

In this Love, we want all to share and Know the Glory and Power of God, as Father, and His invitation for His Kingdom. Every day.

My father had these glasses in the 1970s. We lived in a small town.

Matthew Henry ~

"91:1-8 He that by faith chooses God for his protector, shall find all in him that he needs or can desire.

And those who have found the comfort of making the Lord their refuge, cannot but desire that others may do so. The spiritual life is protected by Divine grace from the temptations of Satan, which are as the snares of the fowler, and from the contagion of sin, which is a noisome pestilence.

Great security is promised to believers in the midst of danger.

Wisdom shall keep them from being afraid without cause, and faith shall keep them from being unduly afraid.

Whatever is done, our heavenly Father's will is done; and we have no reason to fear.

God's people shall see, not only God's promises fulfilled, but his threatenings. Then let sinners come unto the Lord upon his mercy-seat, through the Redeemer's name; and encourage others to trust in Him also."

Matthew 6:25-34 ~ Do not be anxious

Matthew 6:25-34

25 "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

27 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?

28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'

32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

34 "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Yesterday we spoke of Jesus telling us the Kingdom of Heaven is like a giant tree where the birds rest in the branches.

Today, un-aided, the Scripture is about birds and the request for people to put their anxieties at ease.

When we look at birds in the trees, we will observe more birds during early spring. The trees are budding and the branches are easily seen. Winter birds fly off seeking warmth. Spring brings hope and some hunger. Just as we see the anxieties of people we know well; The Lord God says we shouldn't worry - the birds and the needy will find comfort, food and shelter in God's Provision. Good people put out bird food.

And the truth is - in early spring you are more apt to find challenging weather and cloudy days. Making taking the photos of the birds far easier to see and discuss. Transparency in times of need. Need in times of the budding hope - drawing eyes to the branches and finding new birds arriving for a new beginning in a better season. These will find provision.

When the clouds come out, the colors are going to contrast and 'pop'.  The true colors are seen.

Jabez. He prayed for God to Intensely Bless Jabez. God did. God found Jabez to be more noble and in need of Blessing. We know this Blessing of God was without shadow or change. How do we know? We never did hear of another blessing or prayer opportunity for Jabez again. Jabez existed in Golden Blessing. And nary another Word was said.

The Prodigal Son is, in my opinion, the story of each of us and our Journey to go Home to Heaven and Father God would run to us in Glee and we know it is His Good Pleasure to give us His Kingdom. The Prodigal Son could be told in a bird story. There are seasons of trouble and work. And like the birds, when you feed the birds and they gobble up the food - like the Prodigal Son - they are not going to say Thank You. And when they return in the spring, we have gratitude and gladness. God has a Plan in each season.

As surely as winter sees a decrease in bird activity - just as likely spring sees more song and more activity. What is troubled is fed. And enjoyed. So we trust God just as well as the seasons change and nature repeats. Just as we read the Scriptures each season of our lives and are fed and comforted.

No one goes out of their way to have a crying bird not be allowed food at the feeder. Just as Jesus said to the father in distress over his son's grave troubles - he cried to Jesus to forgive his anxiety and lack of trust. The boy's father knew himself to be faithful and yet to need Jesus to complete the circle of faith.

We can all be certain in all levels of calm and anxiety - God Loves us and God is working for us and with us and in us.

Abba, Father God,

Your plan is not ours. Alleluia.

Isaiah 55:8-9

For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.

9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Jesus told us to always pray with Hope. Father, let Your plan for my life be  a hope and a future.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Encourage, me guide, lead me, that as You dwell in me and I live and move and have my being in You, that You would find my soul a good place for You to dwell. Let all aspects of me be open to You.

All people believing in the Lord God Almighty, asking for more of Your Heaven on earth. All Nations looking to Your Brightness. Blessing our Nation, crowning all who believe in You with Peace. Blessing our Loved Ones covered in the Highest Name of Jesus. Amen.

Luke 13:19 ~ like a grain of mustard seed

Luke 13:19

It is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his garden,
 and it grew
 and became a tree,
   and the birds of the air
      made nests
                in its branches.

Psalm 36:6
Thy righteousness is like the great mountains
thy judgments are a great deep
O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.

Galatians 3:2
I would like to learn just one thing from you:
Did you receive the Spirit by works of the Law,
or by hearing with faith?

Colossians 3:16
Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you

Psalm 65

9 You visit the earth and water it
you greatly enrich it;
the river of God is full of water
you provide their grain,
for so you have prepared it.

You water its furrows abundantly,
settling its ridges,
softening it with showers,
and blessing its growth.

You crown the year with your bounty

Abba, our Father,

This day, now may our Father God of endurance and encouragement
grant you harmony with one another
in Christ Jesus

With one mind and one voice
you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ

Abba, may we be Blessed to see more Heaven on earth,
for our selves and souls,
for the ones we Love and give to You,
covering so far as to Bless our Nation Trusting in You,
Nations shine at Your Brightness, Abba.
Love over Your Good Creation blessing the believers, the saints, with more Heaven on earth.

Blessed by the Lord be His land,
with the choicest gifts of heaven above,
and of the deep that crouches beneath,
with the choicest fruits of the sun
and the rich yield of the months,
with the finest produce of the ancient mountains
and the abundance of the everlasting hills,
with the best gifts of the earth and its fullness

In the Name of Jesus, You give His Love in us, Amen.

Deuteronomy 33 ~ The Lord came from Sinai and dawned from Seir upon us

Moses with Aaron and Joshua, Painted by Alexander Heubel

Moses gives an Abundant Blessing something Jacob also did

Ephesians 2:18
For through Him

we both have access
to the Father by one Spirit.

Galatians 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female,

for you are all
one in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:11
Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, or free,

Christ is all
and is in all.

Jacob, Isaac Painted by Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn

Deuteronomy 33

This is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the people of Israel before his death. 2 He said,

“The Lord came from Sinai
and dawned from Seir upon us;
he shone forth from Mount Paran;
he came from the ten thousands of holy ones,
with flaming fire at his right hand.

3 Yes, he loved his people,
all his holy ones were in his hand;
so they followed in your steps,
receiving direction from you,

4 when Moses commanded us a law,
as a possession for the assembly of Jacob.
5 Thus the Lord became king in Jeshurun,
when the heads of the people were gathered,
all the tribes of Israel together.

6 “Let Reuben live, and not die,
but let his men be few.”

7 And this he said of Judah:

“Hear, O Lord, the voice of Judah,
and bring him in to his people.
With your hands contend for him,
and be a help against his adversaries.”

8 And of Levi he said,

“Give to Levi your Thummim,
and your Urim to your godly one,
whom you tested at Massah,
with whom you quarreled at the waters of Meribah;
9 who said of his father and mother,
‘I regard them not’;
he disowned his brothers
and ignored his children.
For they observed your word
and kept your covenant.
10 They shall teach Jacob your rules
and Israel your law;
they shall put incense before you
and whole burnt offerings on your altar.
11 Bless, O Lord, his substance,
and accept the work of his hands;
crush the loins of his adversaries,
of those who hate him, that they rise not again.”

12 Of Benjamin he said,

“The beloved of the Lord dwells in safety.
The High God surrounds him all day long,
and dwells between his shoulders.”

13 And of Joseph he said,

“Blessed by the Lord be his land,
with the choicest gifts of heaven above,
and of the deep that crouches beneath,
14 with the choicest fruits of the sun
and the rich yield of the months,
15 with the finest produce of the ancient mountains
and the abundance of the everlasting hills,
16 with the best gifts of the earth and its fullness
and the favor of him who dwells in the bush.

May these rest on the head of Joseph,
on the pate of him who is prince among his brothers.
17 A firstborn bull—he has majesty,
and his horns are the horns of a wild ox;
with them he shall gore the peoples,
all of them, to the ends of the earth;
they are the ten thousands of Ephraim,
and they are the thousands of Manasseh.”

18 And of Zebulun he said,

“Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out,
and Issachar, in your tents.
19 They shall call peoples to their mountain;
there they offer right sacrifices;
for they draw from the abundance of the seas
and the hidden treasures of the sand.”

20 And of Gad he said,

“Blessed be he who enlarges Gad!
Gad crouches like a lion;
he tears off arm and scalp.
21 He chose the best of the land for himself,
for there a commander's portion was reserved;
and he came with the heads of the people,
with Israel he executed the justice of the Lord,
and his judgments for Israel.”

22 And of Dan he said,

“Dan is a lion's cub
that leaps from Bashan.”

23 And of Naphtali he said,

“O Naphtali, sated with favor,
and full of the blessing of the Lord,
possess the lake and the south.”

24 And of Asher he said,

“Most blessed of sons be Asher;
let him be the favorite of his brothers,
and let him dip his foot in oil.
25 Your bars shall be iron and bronze,
and as your days, so shall your strength be.

26 “There is none like God, O Jeshurun,
who rides through the heavens to your help,
through the skies in his majesty.
27 The eternal God is your dwelling place,
and underneath are the everlasting arms.
And he thrust out the enemy before you
and said, ‘Destroy.’

28 So Israel lived in safety,
Jacob lived alone,
in a land of grain and wine,
whose heavens drop down dew.
29 Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you,
a people saved by the Lord,
the shield of your help,
and the sword of your triumph!
Your enemies shall come fawning to you,
and you shall tread upon their backs.

as your days, so shall your strength be."

Jacob Blesses his Sons, painted by Dr. Harry Anderson

Both Moses and Jacob bless those who have completed life together. The days of sun and wind, cold and warmth, blessing and woe in the Hand of God together. Forgiveness is part of the blessing and life is done together. This is overcoming.

Lets briefly compare the blessings Jacob gave - notice - all his sons, as the arrived in Egypt. Genesis 40. Compared to the blessings of Moses entering the Promised Land.

Reuben, Reuben, you are my firstborn,
my might, the first sign of my strength,
excelling in honor, excelling in power.
Turbulent as the waters, you will no longer excel.

Let Reuben live, and not die,
but let his men be few.”

And this he said of Judah:

“Hear, O Lord, the voice of Judah,
and bring him in to his people.
With your hands contend for him,
and be a help against his adversaries.

Judah, your brothers will praise you
The scepter will not depart from Judah,
nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet,
until he to whom it belongs shall come
and the obedience of the nations shall be his.

The Kingdom of Judah was the remnant He left from the Children of Israel. Jesus was to a descendant of Judah. Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

Simeon is not mentioned here but fought with Judah to have all their appointed land.

Levi-
They shall teach Jacob your rules
and Israel your law;
they shall put incense before you
and whole burnt offerings on your altar.
Bless, O Lord, his substance

Simeon and Levi are brothers—
or they have killed men in their anger
and hamstrung oxen as they pleased.
7 Cursed be their anger, so fierce,
and their fury, so cruel!

“Benjamin is a ravenous wolf;
in the morning he devours the prey,
in the evening he divides the plunder.”

Benjamin shares in his abundance and GOD dwells between his shoulders.

“Joseph is a fruitful vine,
his bow remained steady,
his strong arms stayed limber,
because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob,
because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,
25 because of your father’s God, who helps you,
because of the Almighty, who blesses you
with blessings of the skies above
"

“Blessed by the Lord be his land,
with the choicest gifts of heaven above"

Zebulun will live by the seashore
and become a haven for ships;
his border will extend toward Sidon.

They shall call peoples to their mountain;
there they offer right sacrifices;
for they draw from the abundance of the seas
and the hidden treasures of the sand.”

And of Gad he said

He chose the best of the land for himself,
for there a commander's portion was reserved

Gad will be attacked by a band of raiders,
but he will attack them at their heels.

Dan he said,

“Dan is a lion's cub
that leaps from Bashan.

“Dan will provide justice for his people
as one of the tribes of Israel.

“O Naphtali, sated with favor,
and full of the blessing of the Lord,
possess the lake and the south.”

Naphtali is a doe set free
that bears beautiful fawns.

Asher he said,

“Most blessed of sons be Asher;
let him be the favorite of his brothers,
and let him dip his foot in oil.

Asher’s food will be rich;
he will provide delicacies fit for a king.

Blessings are always of interest to us.

And it's Important to remember to be interested in the blessings of others! Notice the Blessing continues. God's Blessings do not come to an end. We bless people around us being pleased with their blessings. Our open heart expands His willingness to bestow His endless blessings.

Deuteronomy 28:12
The Lord will open to you his good treasury,
the heavens,
to give the rain to your land in its season
and to bless all
the work of your hands.
And you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.

Philippians 2:4-6

4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped

Philippians 2:17-18
Even if I am to be poured as a libation upon the sacrificial offering of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all. Likewise you also should be glad and rejoice with me.

Romans 12:15
Rejoice with those who rejoice!
and weep with those who weep.

The Lord came from Sinai

and dawned from Seir upon us;
he shone forth from Mount Paran;
he came from the ten thousands of holy ones,
with flaming fire at his right hand.

Yes, he loved his people,

all his holy ones were in his hand;

so they followed in your steps,

receiving direction from you

“There is none like God, O Jeshurun,
who rides through the heavens to your help,
through the skies in his majesty.
The eternal God is your dwelling place,
and underneath are the everlasting arms.

Happy are you, O Israel!
Who is like you,

A people saved by the Lord,

The shield of your help,

The sword of your triumph!

This is the conduct He hopes to see in our hearts; He gives this to us to give to others.

Father God,

The Disciples and the Church of Jesus had a very questioning faith early Easter morning.

The First Easter began as tragic.

Christianity - The promises of God dismissed as unbelievable.

We have come a long way.

Remember this in our own lives, with faith.

We ask You, Father, in the Name of Jesus for more Heaven on earth. Amen.

John 7:14-31 ~ Jesus went up into the temple and began teaching

Luke 2. Jesus taught for days as a young boy.

John 7:14-31

14 About the middle of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and began teaching.

15 The Jews, therefore, marveled, saying, "How is it that this man has learning when he has never studied?"

16 So Jesus answered them, "My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me. 17 If anyone's will is to do God's will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority. 18 The one who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood. 19 Has not Moses given you the law? Yet none of you keeps the law. Why do you seek to kill me?"

20 The crowd answered, "You have a demon! Who is seeking to kill you?"

21 Jesus answered them, "I did one work, and you all marvel at it. 22 Moses gave you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath. 23 If on the Sabbath a man receives circumcision, so that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because on the Sabbath I made a man's whole body well? 24 Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment."

25 Some of the people of Jerusalem, therefore, said, "Is not this the man whom they seek to kill? 26 And here he is, speaking openly, and they say nothing to him! Can it be that the authorities really know that this is the Christ? 27 But we know where this man comes from, and when the Christ appears, no one will know where he comes from."

28 So Jesus proclaimed, as he taught in the temple, "You know me, and you know where I come from? But I have not come of my own accord. He who sent me is true, and him you do not know. 29 I know him, for I come from him, and he sent me."

30 So they were seeking to arrest him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.

31 Yet many of the people believed in him.

They said, "When the Christ appears, will he do more signs than this man has done?"

The mankind the Apostles of Jesus Christ view today, are the mankind of all of God's millenniums - called worthy of Salvation in Jesus Christ. Says our Father God.

We know Jesus was God's Authority since he was a teenager. And even before.

And this was the point of the Passage.

Jesus is recognized as God's Authority.

Even when we don't know what words - Jesus - was actually teaching.

God does not make His Authority point with the facts of Jesus teaching.

1. Jesus taught. 2. The people recognized God and heard Jesus. 3. Judea was just a suburb of Syria in the Roman Empire. 4. Three Hundred years of Jesus feared by Roman Emperors. 5. The world saw the change. 6. The 300 intact chapters of the New Testament in Papyrus 46 are the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.  Written during the lifetime of John the Disciple

7. Because we want Jesus, today, because we know Jesus is God's Son. And we, like the people in the crowd, press in to know Jesus.

Abba, our Father,

You Live. And because of Your Blessing we live and move and have our being.

By asking for You, You are there. When we seek Jesus, He is there.

All of Your Word is true. You have said so.

Because You tell us You are God of Love. God of Encouragement. Because of this Love, we trust You. We want You, our Father because Jesus is Your exact nature.

Jesus knows the ordinances of the Heavens. Jesus fixes the rule of the Heavens over the earth. Jesus lifts up His voice to the clouds. Jesus is Living Water walking on water. Jesus takes Peter from the abundance of water immediately. Jesus hears Your voice in Lightning.

Jesus has put wisdom in our innermost being. Jesus gives us His understanding of the mind.

Jesus has shown us water jars from the Heavens.

Jesus answers His Loved Ones. Jesus, please, more Heaven on earth. For us. For our Loved Ones. High as the Nation. Wide as the Nations and people covering Your Good Creation seeking Your Heaven on earth.

Because of Jesus, I believe we shall see His Goodness in the Land of the Living.

Jesus Christ is God's Son, our Savior. Amen.

The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator.
