Numbers 6:24 ~ The LORD bless you and keep you

Numbers 6:24

The LORD bless you and keep you

Deuteronomy 28:3
You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.

2 Samuel 7:29
Now therefore, may it please You to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue forever before You. For You, O Lord GOD, have spoken, and with Your blessing the house of Your servant will be blessed forever.

Psalm 17:8
Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings

Psalm 28:9
Save Your people and bless Your inheritance; shepherd them and carry them forever.

Genesis 18:2-4
2 Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground.

3 He said, “If I have found favor in your eyes, my lord, do not pass your servant by.

4 Let a little water be brought, and then you may all wash your feet and rest under this tree.

Matthew 17:4
Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters--one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah."

Matthew 28:20
Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age

Exodus 33:17
And the Lord said to Moses, “This very thing that you have spoken I will do, for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.”

2 Chronicles 33:11-13
Therefore the Lord brought upon them the commanders of the army of the king of Assyria, who captured Manasseh with hooks and bound him with chains of bronze and brought him to Babylon. 12 And when he was in distress, he entreated the favor of the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. 13 He prayed to him, and God was moved by his entreaty and heard his plea and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God.

Zechariah 12:10-13
10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.

11 On that day the mourning in Jerusalem will be as great as the mourning for Hadad-rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. 12 The land shall mourn, each family by itself: the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; 13 the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the Shimeites by itself, and their wives by themselves; 14 and all the families that are left, each by itself, and their wives by themselves.

Luke 18:1
And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray
and not lose heart.

John 20:30-31 ~ these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His Name

John 20:30-31

Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book;  but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Matthew 5:18
For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

John 1:4
In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

John 3:15
that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

John 3:36
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

John 4:14
but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

John 4:36
Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together.

 John 5:21
For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will.

John 5:24
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

John 5:26
For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself.

John 5:29
and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.

John 5:39
You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me

John 5:40
yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life

John 6:27
Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.

John 6:33
For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.

John 6:35
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.

John 6:40
For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

John 6:47
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.

John 6:48
I am the bread of life.

John 6:51
I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”

John 6:53
So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.

John 6:54
Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.

John 6:63
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

John 6:68
Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life,

John 8:12
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

John 10:11
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

John 10:15
just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.

John 10:17
For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again.

John 10:28
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

John 11:25
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live

John 12:25
Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

John 12:50
And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told me.”

John 13:37
Peter said to him, “Lord, why can I not follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.”

John 13:38
Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for me? Truly, truly, I say to you, the rooster will not crow till you have denied me three times.

John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.

John 17:2
Since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him.

John 17:3
And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

John 20:31
but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

When we think of Jesus having comfort in John's presence, The Disciple, being so brave to be with Jesus on Good Friday. We would want to know how John had the courage.

Life is mentioned in the Gospels:
Matthew (14)
Mark (7)
Luke (14)
John (43)

John believed all of Life is in Jesus Christ. John believed in the broken, weakened, bleeding Son of God: in Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

John believed beyond all things, personal danger, 72 disciples leaving when learning about Communion of Jesus as bread and wine - John believed Jesus is Life.

Abba, Father God,

These days have boredom, worry and fear. With new hope. When You gave Your Son Life again, Jesus spoke to His Disciples: "Peace."

The Brothers of Jesus Christ wrote words learned from their Brother, Jesus Christ:

James 3:17
The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.

Jude 1:2
May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.

Abba,  we pray for the virus to end. We ask for comfort for those who have lost loved ones. And believe in Jesus and His Kingdom where families live forever.

In the Name of Jesus, we pray the Blessing of Seeking You first, Your Kingdom every day. To Live Love, Joy and Peace. Covering those we Love in Jesus Christ.

We pray for this Nation and the Leaders to have all Your Willing Blessings to help solve this crisis. Covering all we love in this prayer and for all this Nation and the Nations of Your Good Creation.

May Christ dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.

In Jesus Christ, God's Son, Amen.

Psalm 130 ~ with the Lord there is Steadfast Love

Psalm 130

Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord!
2 O Lord, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my pleas for mercy!

3 If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities,
O Lord, who could stand?
4 But with you there is forgiveness,
that you may be feared.

5 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope;
6 my soul waits for the Lord
more than watchmen for the morning,
more than watchmen for the morning.

7 O Israel, hope in the Lord!
For with the Lord there is steadfast love,
and with him is plentiful redemption.
8 And he will redeem Israel
from all his iniquities.

If we tie together all of the Resurrection from the Gospels we find Amazing Love. The Disciples were basically traitorous.

From being basic human beings in the middle of horrible fear. Not worthy of God!

“Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.

He is not here, for he has risen, as he said.

Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him.

And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!”

He told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and earth. 19 Therefore go and make disciples in all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and then teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you; and be sure of this—that I am with you always, even to the end of the world.”

John 13:34
A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so also you must love one another.

Jesus said to her, “Do not hold fast to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father
and your Father,
to my God and your God.’”

Jesus offers adoption to God.

The doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.”

When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”

He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.”

Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” 28 Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me?

Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Jesus includes us today.

Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Jesus said to them, “Children, do you have any fish?” They answered him, “No.”

He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish.

Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fish. This was now the third time that Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.”

Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep."

This is the disciple who is bearing witness about these things, and who has written these things, and we know that his testimony is true. Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.

Abba,

We always ask Your Blessings.

And in Jesus, we walk with Eyes of Faith. Believing All Things are Possible with Jesus Christ. In all seasons of Life.

Bless us this Season of Lent. Fill us with encouragement of Your Holy Spirit in difficulties. Help us to be Lamplighters. Prayer is God's Power.

To have the mornings seek the Blessing like children seek Easter Eggs. Thank You for the People of God who send us to find more. Bless their Direction.

Help us in all areas of Life to be Aware of Your Directions. Being filled to help the people You have given us to be protected, assured, surrounded and filled when they are down. Knowing we will need this help in return.

Bless the Nations seeking Jesus. Thank You. Bless our Nation. Bless the Beloved of God asking more Heaven on earth. Jesus is God. Amen.

Mark 16:9-20 ~ Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation

Mark 16

When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him. 2 And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb. 3 And they were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?”

4 And looking up,
they saw that the stone had been rolled back—it was very large. 5 And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed.

6 And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him. 7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.”

8 And they went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had seized them, and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.

[Some of the earliest manuscripts do not include 16:9–20.]

9 [[Now when he rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons. 10 She went and told those who had been with him, as they mourned and wept. 11 But when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they would not believe it.

12 After these things he appeared in another form to two of them, as they were walking into the country. 13 And they went back and told the rest, but they did not believe them.

14 Afterward he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen.

And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

19 So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

20 And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.]]

An Excellent Gospel Chapter for this Unusual Easter!

This Easter, we have prayed more, had more concerns, had fear, upset, boredom and questions. And then if you watched different Easter Services and different Good Friday Services, you are out of your regular zone and seeing new traditions and various approaches to God. You might have read John 20 and 21 in one Service and Matthew 16 in the other.

When I was a child, my mother used to enroll me in every VBS near the house. We learned Scripture
and answered questions, rewarded from bites of a cold Chocolate Bar. When I went back to Parochial School (we were Episcopalian, as my Step-Grandfather was an Episcopalian Priest for almost 60 years) and we were fortunate to have a laughing Priest who liked the Presbyterian Chocolate Bar idea and he included this in our weekly lessons.

This is nothing short of something Peter and Paul faced in the First Century.

1 Corinthians 14
26 What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up. 27 If any speak in a tongue, let there be only two or at most three, and each in turn, and let someone interpret. 28 But if there is no one to interpret, let each of them keep silent in church and speak to himself and to God. 29 Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others weigh what is said. 30 If a revelation is made to another sitting there, let the first be silent. 31 For you can all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all be encouraged, 32 and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets.

33 For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.

When Father God set forth on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter to implement His New Covenant to save the world in Jesus Christ - He began with different kinds of people. God was Proclaiming Jesus Christ as a Light to the Nations.

He included Jews, Legal Temple Officials very orthodox, Political Sanhedrin Council some were very liberal in belief, Governor who reported by letter to the  Roman Emperor, King telling his brother and sister about Jesus, maids, Disciples about to travel to all the know Continents, multitudes of women on Good Friday staying in Judea, guards and soldiers from other Nations going back to Rome, women He ministered to, the hiding Disciples and all of Israel.

And in 16 Years the Roman Emperor is going to be Very Upset.

Father God sorted this out expeditiously. Peter, who lived next door to the Synagogue, by choice in his adult life, outspoken, tactless, sometimes disloyal was going to the Orthodox Law Giving Jews. And Peter was going to build the New Church of Jesus.

Father God chose Paul, not of the flock in the 3 year ministry, to take half the world, having been educated at the feet of Gamaliel, wanting to kill Christians for the Temple efficiency and wanting to climb in Temple Orthodoxy career. To Go to the gentiles to explain Jesus Christ as the Merciful Son of God.

We've just said God is a God of order. God is. We look at this and see pandemonium. God has done as Julius Caesar said and rolled the dice. And the soldiers, who were Roman, did this at the Cross. God took their praises and created a truth about the very Body of Jesus Christ.

The Body of Jesus Christ is diverse. We have Stoics who are happy to have the Law to put their lives in order. Who are so grateful for forgiveness and the stability of a God path, that Grace and Forgiveness triumphing over past and future sin, is looking up. The Guidance of God the Father. The Bible calls these Nazarite.

We have Peter, who is sent to the Jews, who has an immediate response to the Works of God to Flee. Because he knows he is a sinner. And God sees something worthy in the man interested in John the Baptist before Jesus began His ministry. And Peter and Paul have something in common, they love the people they tell Jesus to. They are so full hearted, Mark writes His Gospel according to what Peter is asked about the most. The First Pope is so busy in the catacombs telling about Jesus and in the foreign quarter of Rome, Mark becomes a son to Peter in their Spirits and writes the Gospel. Stoic meets Epicurean with Love.

Romans were not generally Epicurean. They had pride in the Stoic ability of engineering, duty, dignitas, lineage. They were a little like - the Jews. God has an interesting way of Blending Hearts.

The Reason the Roman Empire was inspired during the dire weather of the 2nd Century A.D., the robbers and interruptions to trade and family business, the conflict of divorce ending cohesive families - the massive storms and fearsome lightning. The Antonine Plague caused by trade and probably smallpox or measles. Probably the reason the Roman Empire was inspired, prayers for healing, healing happened, care instead of disdain. God of Love. God of Encouragement.

The Roman Empire was erupting because Stoics and Epicureans and trauma and history and conflict and illness and family and plague all happened at once.

Now we have the framework to ask a question...
Why is the Gospel of John different from the Gospel of Matthew? John rejoiced to find Jesus. Jesus is telling of their thoughts of John's Blessing to have remained by the side of Jesus on Good Friday. Peter is told speaking to Jesus about their rather serious disagreement and parting on Good Friday. John not only has Wonderful Jesus Alive and fixing breakfast, Peter has given up walking on water and has had to swim like the rest of us. John has a portion of warm Emmaus in his heart, blessed of Jesus to want us to remember Jesus and His Love. John, we can all believe, wanted Peter there the day Jesus faced all of the Roman Legion and the multitude of women as Jesus suffered and John comforted Mary and His Aunt. John records not only is Jesus Loving, Jesus gets His Point across about Justice.

Matthew's chosen career, a tax collector, interested in benefiting himself and taking from the people while allowing Romans to flourish. His first response to being Called by Jesus, throw a party with the other Thugs. Let them know something Wonderful about Jesus. See Jesus Loves. Matthew is not recorded once as saying, anywhere, he wished to die with Jesus, As Thomas informed the Disciples Jesus had really gone and made them mad to make Lazarus alive and they'd be called to die with Jesus a week before Easter. Matthew is simply - silent. Disbelief, alarm, trembling and Jesus saying His Miracles persist. Jesus is back. Unbelievably. And just as Jesus as ever. Matthew is coming to Jesus from real guilt. He is so rattled "All of Israel" knows, Matthew is going to have to process all of this over time. How do tax collectors get taxes from the unwilling? Soldiers! Who showed up on Maundy Thursday after the New Covenant when Jesus was told not to go to Jerusalem? Matthew has been utterly and completely terrified. Matthew isn't a conflicting Easter, Matthew is a different seat at the Feast of Heaven table.

Could Matthew comprehend beyond thinking his former compatriots would nail him to a cross? Yes. Jesus is suggesting going forth into the world. Suddenly a very good idea. God says He makes His Enemies at Peace. Matthew wasn't a friend of Jesus to have heard what Thomas said a week before Maundy Thursday. Matthew doesn't run out entirely. You'd think he might have. Matthew is part of something as big as Revolution in the face of the Roman Empire. Matthew has had personal life ending fear, career buddies - soldiers, prophecy, prophetic failure, loss of Jesus, loss of Jesus Unbelievable. Matthew's Lava Lamp is very shaken.

He has the ability to see a few aspects of Jesus. Something like - what did the doctor say - in the middle of a week of medical emergencies.

And now, you will never forget, a social, career oriented, historical, saintly, sinner, economic, political discussion on Holiness of God's Abilities to Work all Things for Good in the middle of a century 200 A.D. known to be unprecedented.

God works in the middle of the storm, to bring Peace.

Psalm 131:2
Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.

Matthew 18:2
Jesus invited a little child to stand among them.

Matthew 18:4
Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 19:14
But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them! For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

Mark 10:15
Truly I tell you, anyone who does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

Luke 18:17
Truly I tell you, anyone who does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

How the Pandemic will look from early, early pre-quarantine and again as the Pandemic ends!

Isaiah 49 ~ I will make all My mountains a road, and My Highways shall be raised up

Easter was Unique and Filled with Opportunities to find Joy. Even if our pastels appeared on television instead of actually going to Church. We know we will tell this Easter day to generations yet unborn!

We enjoyed 4 Easter Programs today. We read from the Gospel of Mark and were read to, to Look Upward. Enthralled I repeated, "Look up." And our Pastor then said, 'Now repeat with me, "Look Up!" ' So Edward and I repeated this, again.

If you have time this week... you might want to look at few Good Friday and Easter Sermons on Youtube.

When I have done this Sermon Youtube finding, (we zigzagged today between Easter activities and Sermons) I have found repeat Sermons; the messages are repeating in phrases due only to One factor. The Holy Spirit. Comfort. Comforter. Helper. Hear O Israel, The Lord Thy God is One. Last week during Holy Week, the Sermons said, "What will you learn from God this season?" In God's Timing, I'll be able to answer this for myself. And you will answer for yourself.

This Holy Week, I learned how much of Life is beautiful, how blessed we have been with plain life and in not counting the blessings, the Blessings almost passed by uncounted. And I feel assured in faith, more answers to this question of learning will arrive. We will look to the journey Father God gives and find the answers.

Easter, the message from different locations, was the same. Look Upward. Look Up.

Isaiah 49

Listen to me, O coastlands,
and give attention, you peoples from afar.
The Lord called me from the womb,
from the body of my mother he named my name.
2 He made my mouth like a sharp sword;
in the shadow of his hand he hid me;
he made me a polished arrow;
in his quiver he hid me away.
3 And he said to me, “You are my servant,
Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”

4 But I said, “I have labored in vain;
I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity;
yet surely my right is with the Lord,
and my recompense with my God.”

5 And now the Lord says,
he who formed me from the womb to be his servant,
to bring Jacob back to him;
and that Israel might be gathered to him—
for I am honored in the eyes of the Lord,
and my God has become my strength—
6 he says:
“It is too light a thing that you should be my servant
to raise up the tribes of Jacob
and to bring back the preserved of Israel;
I will make you as a light for the nations,
that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”

7 Thus says the Lord,
the Redeemer of Israel and his Holy One,
to one deeply despised, abhorred by the nation,
the servant of rulers:
“Kings shall see and arise;
princes, and they shall prostrate themselves;
because of the Lord, who is faithful,
the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.”

The Restoration of Israel

8 Thus says the Lord:
“In a time of favor I have answered you;
in a day of salvation I have helped you;
I will keep you and give you
as a covenant to the people,
to establish the land,
to apportion the desolate heritages,
9 saying to the prisoners, ‘Come out,’
to those who are in darkness, ‘Appear.’

They shall feed along the ways;
on all bare heights shall be their pasture;
10 they shall not hunger or thirst,
neither scorching wind nor sun shall strike them,
for he who has pity on them will lead them,
and by springs of water will guide them.

11 And I will make all my mountains a road,
and my highways shall be raised up.
12 Behold, these shall come from afar,
and behold, these from the north and from the west,
and these from the land of Syene.”

13 Sing for joy, O heavens, and exult, O earth;
break forth, O mountains, into singing!
For the Lord has comforted his people
and will have compassion on his afflicted.

14 But Zion said, “The Lord has forsaken me;
my Lord has forgotten me.”

15 “Can a woman forget her nursing child,
that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb?

Even these may forget,
yet I will not forget you.
16 Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are continually before me.

17 Your builders make haste;
your destroyers and those who laid you waste go out from you.
18 Lift up your eyes around and see;
they all gather, they come to you.
As I live, declares the Lord,
you shall put them all on as an ornament;
you shall bind them on as a bride does.

19 “Surely your waste and your desolate places
and your devastated land—
surely now you will be too narrow for your inhabitants,
and those who swallowed you up will be far away.
20 The children of your bereavement
will yet say in your ears:
‘The place is too narrow for me;
make room for me to dwell in.’
21 Then you will say in your heart:
‘Who has borne me these?
I was bereaved and barren,
exiled and put away,
but who has brought up these?
Behold, I was left alone;
from where have these come?’”

22 Thus says the Lord God:
“Behold, I will lift up my hand to the nations,
and raise my signal to the peoples;
and they shall bring your sons in their arms,
and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.

23 Kings shall be your foster fathers,
and their queens your nursing mothers.
With their faces to the ground they shall bow down to you,
and lick the dust of your feet.
Then you will know that I am the Lord;
those who wait for me shall not be put to shame.”

24 Can the prey be taken from the mighty,
or the captives of a tyrant be rescued?
25 For thus says the Lord:
“Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken,
and the prey of the tyrant be rescued,
for I will contend with those who contend with you,
and I will save your children.
26 I will make your  oppressors eat their own flesh,
and they shall be drunk with their own blood as with wine.
Then all flesh shall know
that I am the Lord your Savior,
and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”

The work God has given mankind is to believe in the One He has sent. Jesus.

God has also told us we are like Living Stones. We are building. Believing and building are daily work. We have to put aside what is negativity and reach with great determination for what pulls us Up. Look Up. Work Up. Go Up. Believing in Jesus Christ and His Promises. Finding what is real in His Mercies Renew Daily. Finding how He Daily Loadeth us with Benefits.

God tells us in several verses. Heaven has Highways. The Hills and Highways of Heaven.

Wondrous. We are on this High Way today. Look Up. Jesus has plans for us, as Prodigal Children, to be run to by Father God.
When the Bible tells us of going to Jerusalem, God calls His New City, the Bible always says going 'up' to Jerusalem. Jerusalem, God's Chosen City, is upward in elevation.

One foot forward. One step 'Up'. In the time of virus, we say don't make the road too short. We all think this. God is saying something more wonderful. He is saying when we walk in His Paths, He is our Encouragement. He is our Joy and makes us Strong. Jesus never said I find the weakend sheep helpful. God has always said, I am The Good Shepherd. Jesus says this about the road to the Hills and Highway High Ways of Heaven, I am The Way.

Jesus goes on about being on the High Way, He says, "I am The Life."

The problems along the High Way are malnourishment in the place of nurturing. Sometimes from poverty of soul, love, finance, body, health, sadness. A bandaid that doesn't do healing: Sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these.

The High Way works and has this: We walk with the Holy Spirit, Father God places in us. We love because He first Loves us.

We take one step up. We are Loved. We know within us God Loves us as our Father. Joy, God encourages Joy. He finds Joy gives us strength and generosity. Father God walks with us and shows us our Strength in God brings Joy. Father God gives us Peace. Not the always happy variety the Disciples of Jesus didn't have. Peace walking with Jesus we will find the blind see, the deaf and tender patience and then hear, the leper is held and healed, the dying have hope and are raised, parents receive their children back to them. New Life. Jesus doesn't walk down Mount Tabor from the Transfiguration and blast the disciples for being unable to help the horrified father of an ill son. Jesus is Patient. The father can't summon faith, Jesus helps with his kindness. The Goodness of God walking with us is to want goodness and mercy to be our footprints as David did. Jesus walks with us to give us faithfulness. The journey is decades long and Jesus gives us self control to take the next step 'up' to see the future with hope.

In Jesus Christ we are Looking Up. We are on the High Way leading to the hills and Highways of God's Living Kingdom. Today.

Matthew 6:33

Keeping in step with the Holy Spirit.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-22
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing.

Isaiah 58:11
“And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desires in scorched places, and make your bones strong; and you will be like a watered garden, like a spring of water whose water does not fail.”

1 Peter 5:10
“After your season of suffering, God in all of his grace will restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”

Psalm 138:7
“Though I am surrounded by troubles, you will protect me from the anger of my enemies. You reach out your hand, and the power of your right hand saves me. The Lord will work out his plans for my life—for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me.”

Isaiah 66:9
“I will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born.”

Philippians 2:13
“For God is working in you, giving you the desires and the power to do what pleases him.”

Deuteronomy 20:4
“For the Lord your God is going with you. He will fight for you against
your enemy and he will give you victory.”

Abba,

Jesus was suddenly walking with the Disciples on the Road to Emmaus. And their hearts were strangely warmed and they asked Jesus to stay to eat with them. Your Words are Living and Active and when we long for Your Words, You are there.

To Know Scripture is to Know the Power of God. For Your Glory, Father God.

We ask You, to walk with us and guide us and lead us from this time. Help us and encourage us to see what this season teaches us. With Your Spirit, we will be Brave, filled with Valor, and Diligent. You have taught us, when we wander away and have fallen, You will search for us. Help us in those moments to be found by Jesus, wonderful Jesus.

Help us to see the Blessings in each day and in finding Your Blessings, the day is blessed. The times of refreshing more enduring. Meaningful Life. Abundant Life to Look Up and Find what You daily give us. If we don't see our blessings, we cannot live our Blessings.

In Your Enduring and Prevailing Love, Grace and Mercy we Live.

We are Blessed to seek You First. Blessed to be finding the High Way of Your Heaven today. Blessed to ask to see more Heaven upon earth. Blessed to have You as our Daily Bread. Blessed to ask to Live Love, Joy and Peace.

Blessed to pray in expectation of Your Love and Willingness. Blessed to say Thank You that during Holy Week, we have seen the Glimpse of Your Glory working to end this oppressive Virus.

In Jesus we Live and ask this for those we Love. We pray for our own strength, Love and ask Jesus to cover this Nation, those who lead this Nation and all other nations in this fight.

The Light of mankind to shine with Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the Lord, Amen.

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
