17 And the Lord said to Moses, “This very thing that you have spoken I will do, for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.”
18 Moses said, “Please show me your glory.”
19 And He said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name ‘The Lord.’ And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy. 20 But,” He said, “you cannot see my face, for man shall not see me and live.”
21 And the Lord said, “Behold, there is a place by me where you shall stand on the rock, 22 and while my glory passes by I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with my hand until I have passed by. 23 Then I will take away my hand, and you shall see my back, but my face shall not be seen.”
Exodus 34:1-10
The Lord said to Moses, “Cut for yourself two tablets of stone like the first, and I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke. 2 Be ready by the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to me on the top of the mountain. 3 No one shall come up with you, and let no one be seen throughout all the mountain. Let no flocks or herds graze opposite that mountain.” 4 So Moses cut two tablets of stone like the first. And he rose early in the morning and went up on Mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him, and took in his hand two tablets of stone. 5 The Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord.
6 The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, 7 keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children's children, to the third and the fourth generation.” 8 And Moses quickly bowed his head toward the earth and worshiped. 9 And he said, “If now I have found favor in your sight, O Lord, please let the Lord go in the midst of us, for it is a stiff-necked people, and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.” 10 And he said, “Behold, I am making a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels, such as have not been created in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord, for it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.
Moses spoke to the Lord, "Here I am, Lord."
They were so tender, Moses and the Lord, Moses began with His Name.
Moses asks the Lord to see Him.
The Lord provides Shelter for this.
The Lord is not coincidental. Our Father God has a plan for our Hope and Future.

This is now the second letter that I am writing to you, beloved. In both of them I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder, 2 that you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles. 3 Knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. 4 They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.” 5 For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, 6 and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. 7 But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. 8 But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you. Not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. 11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, 12 waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! 13 But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
14 Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace. 15 And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, 16 as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. 17 You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability. 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
Scripture Explains Scripture
Timothy
Became St Paul’s disciple, constant companion and co-worker in preaching.
Paul mentored Timothy by equipping him for the tasks of ministry, empowering him for success, employing him for effectiveness at the Church in Ephesus, and by communicating his love, respect, and appreciation for Timothy as a son, brother, and messenger of Christ.
In the year 52, Paul, Silas and Timothy journeyed to Macedonia. Timothy may have been subject to ill health or "frequent ailments", and Paul encouraged him to "use a little wine for your stomach's sake"
The apocryphal Acts of Timothy explains in the year 97 AD, the 80-year-old Bishop of Ephesus, Timothy, tried to halt a procession honoring the goddess Diana, by preaching the gospel. The angry mob beat him, dragged him through the streets, and stoned him to death.
Proverbs 16:31
Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life.
Isaiah 46:4
Even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.
Job 12:12
Wisdom is with the aged, and understanding in length of days.
Papyrus 3535b- University of Michigan circa late first or second century. Depends on usage of verbs.
Papyrus 46, within two generations of Jesus, lists this 2 Timothy 2 as part of the pages, but it's missing. It's interesting Papyrus 46 survived 1900 centuries in remarkable, miraculous condition. Interesting - very - Papyrus 46 shows larger handwriting when Paul speaks of Paul's larger signature. The art is sometimes beautiful when the titles change and there are florid swirls just to be pretty. Personality!
This 3535b is 1st or 2nd Century A.D., still remarkable at this age, and the handwriting is far more relaxed. Papyrus 46 is profoundly scholarly and perfect. The 1st Century saw Christianity widespread and accepted, the 1st Century needed to be precise to be clear.
About the time this was written, the Disciple John was being exiled to Patmos. 95 AD
Why was friendly, kindly, loving Timothy killed?
The Corinthian Church and the Church in Ephesus were angered because Jesus had not returned - this is a major theory in the upward, sudden mobility, of violent goddess worship.
When Peter was writing about some people being angered at God's Promises being slow, he was not exaggerating.
We wonder about the end of the earth.
So did First Century Romans. Weather was increasingly a concern with droughts. And savage storms.
Ptolemy in Alexandria A weather diary, compiled by Ptolemy in Alexandria c.120, mentioned rain in every month except August and thunder throughout the summer. It helps to explain the agricultural prosperity of Roman Africa (the granary of Rome), and the prosperity of southern Spain in the Roman era. During the Second Punic War, the Mediterranean coast saw such powerful storms that the Roman fleet was destroyed twice (in 249 BC and 225 BC). This was followed by drought in Italy in 226 BC, which lasted six months. In December of 170 BC there was a blood rain in Rome. Written sources from about 75 BC to c. 175 AD also emphasize moisture, mainly in the form of the Tiber floods in Rome. Large Tiber floods occurred in 5 (lasted seven days), 15, 36, 51, 69, 79 and 97 AD. Starting from the Roman annexation of Egypt in 30 BC and until 155 AD favorable floods occurred more frequently in the Nile. Tacitus The winter of 69/70 AD was the driest known to Tacitus when he wrote his Histories around 100 AD; exactly at the same time the dry season persisted in the Americas. Dry conditions returned during the reign of Hadrian. In Timgad – on Hadrian's visit to that city in 133 rain fell for the first time in five years. Some parts of the empire, however, saw better precipitation.
Almost all generations have asked if disaster was the end of the world.
Hitler was the end of the world. The French Revolution trying to burn down Notre Dame was the end of the world, destroying all the art. The Second Century of the Roman Empire had massive, sudden lightning strikes killing people merely walking.
We are certainly able to find an answer in the Words of Jesus. A Road to Emmaus question.
Luke 18:8
When the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?
6 And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge says. 7 And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? 8 I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”
I think we know. We have prayed for Italy, prayed for New York City and the greater area. We pray for these times. We see where television ratings are good - TBN. We are connected to our Churches on Zoom and You Tube. Today, I went to the Grocery Store and the kindly man working there said, "God Bless you." Out of the blue. Kind words are the cream and butter of Father God's working world.
I think we have an idea.
God Bless you!
Studies show 1 in 10 people have either a near death experience or real dream of Heaven. 80% of the USA prays daily. We pray so much we are recorded to pray as hard as 3rd world emerging Nations. Almost all praying people have a miracle in their lives they can tell you about. The Churches opened their hearts and said let's have Equality, Liberty and Justice for all.
Timothy's life tells us good times arrive and fade, the Word of Jesus is our Foundation.
Jesus has Holy Spirit Comfort today for us in 2 Peter 3
Beloved, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position.
beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability.
Instead grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

Devoting themselves to prayer, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James. All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers and sisters.
Acts 1:1-14
In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach, 2 until the day when he was taken up, after he had given commands through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. 3 He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.
4 And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me; 5 for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
6 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” 9 And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. 10 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, 11 and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey away. 13 And when they had entered, they went up to the upper room, where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James. 14 All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers and sisters.
I listened to TBN today, the Guest was Max Lucado and this was really great. TBN is up in ratings, TBN hears of tremendous anxiety, and due to seeing the news, and the Presidential Race - people are turning to TBN to Hear Good News.
Max Lucado spoke of his book, "Unshakable Hope", standing on God's Promises and that was excellent. Max Lucado truly pointed out, all have a core belief and our faith in God's 7,000 Promises makes us stand strong every day. 51% say their lives before Pandemic were riddled with anxiety. And now have passed this level of anxiety.
Matt and Laurie Crouch said we all can encourage each other in our words. To Edify is encouragement and is Scripture. Seasons of trouble pass. Finding our faith and endurance will help our lives be faith overcoming fear.
Psalm 33:22 May your unfailing love be with us, LORD, even as we put our hope in you.
We all should be encouraged with Dr. Redfield's Home Studies. The virus has a defect. If a household of four has someone with active Covid-19, with 6 feet distancing and a mask, hand sanitizing, there is a 75% chance the household will see the virus stop with the virus patient. The household I saw put the patient in a bedroom, with an ironing board set up at the door. The Father's food, drink, medicine were placed on the ironing board. The Mother masked to speak from the doorway, while the Father rested on the bed. He would retrieve the food items after she left. The household did not get Covid-19.
We were speaking with a Restaurant Manager, and he said we have seen 800 really great people supporting them during re-opening and with social distancing and wearing a mask, hand sanitizing - the manager does not have Covid-19. They serve a lot on the large patios.
Father God told us to look to the Fig leaves to see the story. We can follow the situation and Believe this virus will end. The news was good today on the vaccine. We do have Good News.

Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say.
The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation.
The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
