Psalm 44:1-4 ~ You are my King, O God; ordain salvation

View from Golgotha. When we think of God on the cross. We understand His Depths.

Psalm 44:1-4

To the choirmaster. A Maskil of the Sons of Korah.

O God, we have heard with our ears,
our fathers have told us,
what deeds you performed in their days,
in the days of old

2 You with your own hand drove out the nations,
but them you planted;
you afflicted the peoples,
but them you set free

3 For not by their own sword did they win the land,
nor did their own arm save them,
but your right hand and your arm,
and the light of your face,
for you delighted in them.

4 You are my King, O God;
ordain salvation for Jacob!

God the Almighty has been accused of being partial and cruel in the Old Testament to other nations. Never mind the infants required for their life's blood on the fields for the gods' delight and prosperity.

What happened to the Egyptians seems to say only the unrighteous offend God.

Let's look at the First Family of Israel.

Genesis 37

26 Then Judah said to his brothers, “What profit is it if we kill our brother and conceal his blood? 27 Come, let us sell him to the Ishmaelites, and let not our hand be upon him, for he is our brother, our own flesh.” And his brothers listened to him. 28 Then Midianite traders passed by. And they drew Joseph up and lifted him out of the pit, and sold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels of silver. They took Joseph to Egypt.

29 When Reuben returned to the pit and saw that Joseph was not in the pit, he tore his clothes 30 and returned to his brothers and said, “The boy is gone, and I, where shall I go?” 31 Then they took Joseph's robe and slaughtered a goat and dipped the robe in the blood. 32 And they sent the robe of many colors and brought it to their father and said, “This we have found; please identify whether it is your son's robe or not.” 33 And he identified it and said, “It is my son's robe. A fierce animal has devoured him. Joseph is without doubt torn to pieces.” 34 Then Jacob tore his garments and put sackcloth on his loins and mourned for his son many days. 35 All his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him, but he refused to be comforted and said, “No, I shall go down to Sheol to my son, mourning.” Thus his father wept for him.

What happened to the Family of Israel for this? Famine. Starvation of the livestock and the people. Covering Israel to Egypt.

became

And the Blessings and the Woe are of God. The Scriptures tell us God disciplines His own Sons.

The Prophet Jeremiah said the people of Israel and Judea would say they never were slaves of Egypt and claim to be descended from the north. How angry was God to have this massive Work and Beloved Act of God to be cast down after years of Passover and Temple?

Jeremiah 44

44 The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Judeans
who lived in the land of Egypt, at Migdol, at Tahpanhes, at Memphis, and in the land of Pathros, 2 “Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: You have seen all the disaster that I brought upon Jerusalem and upon all the cities of Judah. Behold, this day they are a desolation, and no one dwells in them, 3 because of the evil that they committed, provoking me to anger, in that they went to make offerings and serve other gods that they knew not, neither they, nor you, nor your fathers. 4 Yet I persistently sent to you all my servants the prophets, saying, ‘Oh, do not do this abomination that I hate!’ 5 But they did not listen or incline their ear, to turn from their evil and make no offerings to other gods. 6 Therefore my wrath and my anger were poured out and kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, and they became a waste and a desolation, as at this day.

7 And now thus says the Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel: Why do you commit this great evil against yourselves, to cut off from you man and woman, infant and child, from the midst of Judah, leaving you no remnant?

8 Why do you provoke me to anger with the works of your hands, making offerings to other gods in the land of Egypt where you have come to live, so that you may be cut off and become a curse and a taunt among all the nations of the earth?

9 Have you forgotten the evil of your fathers, the evil of the kings of Judah, the evil of their wives, your own evil, and the evil of your wives, which they committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

10 They have not humbled themselves even to this day, nor have they feared, nor walked in my law and my statutes that I set before you and before your fathers.

11 “Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will set my face against you for harm, to cut off all Judah. 12 I will take the remnant of Judah who have set their faces to come to the land of Egypt to live, and they shall all be consumed. In the land of Egypt they shall fall; by the sword and by famine they shall be consumed. From the least to the greatest, they shall die by the sword and by famine, and they shall become an oath, a horror, a curse, and a taunt. 13 I will punish those who dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, with the sword, with famine, and with pestilence, 14 so that none of the remnant of Judah who have come to live in the land of Egypt shall escape or survive or return to the land of Judah, to which they desire to return to dwell there. For they shall not return, except some fugitives.”

15 Then all the men who knew that their wives had made offerings to other gods, and all the women who stood by, a great assembly, all the people who lived in Pathros in the land of Egypt, answered Jeremiah: 16 “As for the word that you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord, we will not listen to you. 17 But we will do everything that we have vowed, make offerings to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we did, both we and our fathers, our kings and our officials, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, and prospered, and saw no disaster. 18 But since we left off making offerings to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have lacked everything and have been consumed by the sword and by famine.” 19 And the women said,  “When we made offerings to the queen of heaven and poured out drink offerings to her, was it without our husbands' approval that we made cakes for her bearing her image and poured out drink offerings to her?”

20 Then Jeremiah said to all the people, men and women, all the people who had given him this answer: 21 “As for the offerings that you offered in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, you and your fathers, your kings and your officials, and the people of the land, did not the Lord remember them? Did it not come into his mind? 22 The Lord could no longer bear your evil deeds and the abominations that you committed. Therefore your land has become a desolation and a waste and a curse, without inhabitant, as it is this day. 23 It is because you made offerings and because you sinned against the Lord and did not obey the voice of the Lord or walk in his law and in his statutes and in his testimonies that this disaster has happened to you, as at this day.”

24 Jeremiah said to all the people and all the women, “Hear the word of the Lord, all you of Judah who are in the land of Egypt. 25 Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: You and your wives have declared with your mouths, and have fulfilled it with your hands, saying, ‘We will surely perform our vows that we have made, to make offerings to the queen of heaven and to pour out drink offerings to her.’ Then confirm your vows and perform your vows! 26 Therefore hear the word of the Lord, all you of Judah who dwell in the land of Egypt: Behold, I have sworn by my great name, says the Lord, that my name shall no more be invoked by the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, ‘As the Lord God lives.’ 27 Behold, I am watching over them for disaster and not for good. All the men of Judah who are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by famine, until there is an end of them. 28 And those who escape the sword shall return from the land of Egypt to the land of Judah, few in number; and all the remnant of Judah, who came to the land of Egypt to live, shall know whose word will stand, mine or theirs. 29 This shall be the sign to you, declares the Lord, that I will punish you in this place, in order that you may know that my words will surely stand against you for harm: 30 Thus says the Lord, Behold, I will give Pharaoh Hophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies and into the hand of those who seek his life, as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, who was his enemy and sought his life.”

Biblically we would now have the answer to the question: Why was God so opposed to Egypt? Jeremiah 44 tells us Egypt was not singled out.

After the Babylonian Exile, many stayed in the Chaldean Persian Empire. And Esther with courage and with the Power of God saved the exiles - who had always had the Freedom to Worship. And did not have Jeremiah 44 instead Psalm 44.

Disaster is much larger than mere trouble.

The Scriptures also tell us Jeremiah, although swept to the direction of Egypt by force, would be spared because God had given His Word.

Very Biblically important  - Jesus was a child in Egypt.

God brings the Light of Jesus Christ to the Nations.

Link this in:

Acts 10
34 So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, 35 but in every nation, anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him."

Let's be real, let's be honest. Let's be frank. We love the Lord our Father God because He has first loved us. We understand the depths of His Mercy. By His Grace and Mercy, we are free.

How can Jesus say if we always pray with Hope, God will hear us if Father God shows no partiality?

Partiality means we bend the laws of God. Ignore what God says in Law. Or His Commandments are suggestions. We ignore the Spirit is freedom and we impose the Inquisition started by Pope Sixtus the IV who put in the Inquisition to help implement a Papal State covering Italy.

God explains He has no partiality as He explains the end of Kosher.

Romans 4:9
Is this blessing only on the circumcised, or also on the uncircumcised? We have been saying that Abraham's faith was credited as righteousness.

Romans 4:20
Yet he did not waver through disbelief in the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,

Romans 4:22
That is why "it was credited to him as righteousness."

Galatians 3:6
So also, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."

James 2:23
And the Scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness," and he was called a friend of God.

Abba, Father,

We Thank You for Your Blessings. We will pray with Hope.

We ask for more Heaven on earth. Covering us, guide us and lead us. Encourage us on Your Path. Strengthen us and show us Your mercy.

Cover those we Love with all of Your Love. We pray for more Heaven on this earth and raise this so High we cover our Nation trusting in You. With all the saints of earth, the communion of saints, raising our Hopes to You in Jesus Christ, covering all Nations trusting in You surrounding Your Good Creation in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Revelation 21:3 ~ He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God

Revelation 21:3

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God."

God is about the upbuilding of you, Father God's Child. God is about nurturing us. We seek God with a Good Purpose. Pleasing to God.

We believe we have no means of doing God's Will each day. Many days, Jesus merely traveled by boat. Going in familiar places. Sometimes back and forth. His Path was easy to find, deliberately. Father God, the Almighty, works in the day given. In Jesus' God-given life, opportunity is made each day to seek and find God Himself.

 1 Chronicles 16:11
Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.

Acts 17:27
God did this so that they would seek him
and perhaps reach out for him and find him,
though he is not far from any one of us.

Hebrews 11:6
And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Proverbs 8:17
I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.

Matthew 6:33
Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Psalm 9:10
Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.

Jesus explains and shows us Father God's nature is His willingness to become part of us. Thank You, Jesus.

Father God,

Glory in his holy name
let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!

Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his presence continually!

Remember the wondrous works that he has done,
his miracles, and the judgments he uttered

Lord Jesus help us in being with You and the Path You would have us walk in.

Help us to do Your Good Plan for our lives with mercy and with joy and the verve of salt.

In finding the persistence You have given us to see the Blessings of each day.

Philippians 4:19
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

In the name of Jesus, we lift up our prayer requests for the ones we love. The People God has given us and the Churches, workplaces, our states and Nation. The people far away, the most pressing prayer request and rest in Jesus the Lord.

Let Your Good Will, Father God, in the Name of Jesus be done.

Let The Joy of Your Presence fill this Nation trusting in You. Holy Spirit fill those seeking Heaven upon earth. The Children You call Beloved praying for more Heaven.

John 15 ~ my Father

John 15

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser.
2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

3 Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.

5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. 7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. 9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.

10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. 11 These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.

12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.

16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

17 These things I command you, so that you will love one another.

18 “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. 21 But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin,[c] but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 Whoever hates me hates my Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father. 25 But the word that is written in their Law must be fulfilled: ‘They hated me without a cause.’

26 “But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me. 27 And you also will bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.

Isaiah 6:3
And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory."

How can we do less than consider Heaven - God's Gift and Promise to us?

God Displays to us small glimpses of His Glory.

When We Abide in HIM...

Consider a miracle occurring for the last 500 and more years involving Transubstantiation. The Church has been given and kept, the consecrated and Holy Host of the Living Bread of God. And in this century, these treasured Hosts of the Body of Christ, have finally been able to be tested. All the samples are AB Blood Type. We live in a unique time in history. Jesus is working and His Father too. And our great-grandparents never thought Israel would exist as a nation again after 2,000 years. We are the people who are fortunate to live through Good Friday, knowing Jesus triumphant on Easter. We are blessed. Thank God.

Psalm 80:14-15

Turn again, O God of hosts! Look down from heaven, and see; have regard for this vine,  the stock that your right hand planted, and for the son whom you made strong for yourself.

We pray our lives hold the actions & power of God. We consider Jesus and what He has given His Life for - for you.

1. Believe God specifically creates us to live within His plan.
2. Believes in the success of our godly desires/lives, even with insurmountable circumstances.
3. Want to give God's love, to shepherd the people around them. Give love and care.

The idea of God Himself having gratitude -  How can we do less than to be cultivators of gratitude. Realizing our lives are gifts.

Revelations tells us God's plan, from beginning to end.

Revelation 21:3
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God."

Acts 17:28
For “‘In him, we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed his offspring.’

Psalm 23:6
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

Father God, each day, we put our hands out to You. Give us Your love to do the plan for us. Thank You, Father, Jesus intercedes for us and we have God who has lived life to know we need You to guide, give wisdom, encourage, strengthen, increase faith, Love and protect.

Blessed are You, Lord God. You have given us Life and today. In Your Goodness, we see each day have mercies renew. Our wonderful Jesus. We will live through the pain of Good Friday, knowing You provide Easter. We are blessed.

You alone are God. And this Holy Week and always we want to abide in the power, Love and willingness to the glory of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Psalm 16 ~ the Lord is always before me

Psalm 16

A Miktam of David.

1 Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge. 2 I say to the LORD, "You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you."

3 As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.

4 The sorrows of those who run after another god shall multiply; their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out or take their names on my lips.

5 The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot.

6 The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.

7 I bless the LORD who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me.

8 I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.

9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure.

10 For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption.

11 You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Perk UP.

Misery Loves company. Just writing that makes me more cheerful.

David in the Holy Spirit has a lot of wisdom. He has arranged each verse to be filled with meaning.

This week Bites. This springs from massive antibiotics for Anthrax poisoning cause  of this - the dog attack. With another serious antibiotic. I was deciding this morning if my health declines - seriously - before nausea kicked in and realizing, oh, these two high powered antibiotics were more apt to glow in the dark instead of rattle with a few funny colored pills with recognizable antibiotic names.

How I miss my dog. Pray for us all to heal, please.

One of my favorite phrases is about Pineapples.
When you are feeling as if you are in decline, do not make your world and the whole world into a Pineapple and try to eat it in one bite.

We have to rest and let God.

Having lost a pet in College and told not to cry and miss College, instead: "Be an adult." No one is supposed to cry about (anything) pets. I will tell you I have friends and neighbors who have cried, as adults, in adult parties over losing their pet. Alleluia. Reality.

We want life to skate along. No Misery loves company. And yet, we need personal stories on Overcoming. Especially the rosy, quick fixes. The real thing is sustainable. Enduring. Steadfast. And skate by is not sustainable and enjoyable and fleeting.

We have to shake off what weighs us down and look up eternally.

Enduring is having a warmth fix directly into your God-given eternity - your soul. The reason we read David 3000 Three - thousand - years - later... we are shown how understandable our troubles and emotions are. We learn how Great God is. How Merciful God really is.  Not Gilligan's Island 3 hour tour, a 3 hour tour. Instead Three Thousand Years. Three Thousand Years.

The earth repairs. Rest. Gloom. Clouds. And we observe trees have shapes. God-given shapes. Wot? Corrie Ten Baum would say even the fleas have a good reason to exist. Observations. Times of worry are given to observation. David has done this. God has a hand in Blessings and Woe. And Whoa. This season in our life is time to think about changes - recovery - and overcoming.

Seasons in our lives.

And so we observe not just Scripture, but the facts of History to understand the major workings of our Living God. We observe art and the historical failings of governments and machines and histories of fallible mankind. We live in pop culture and find God. We look to see how evil dots in and out and the costumes evil wears. We will understand our emotions and steadfastly hold the Faith to God who is our Sustaining GOD HIMSELF. Jesus Christ will hold us steadfastly and sustain us. Really.

We look at God's Creation and find God tells us all of His Creation belongs to Him.

As the Earth is encased in Gloom and Rest, we refer to as late winter. If you observe the Horizon even the millenniums of our DNA forefathers would see for good cause -  our eye level sees no help is going to arrive any time soon. And this chill is not going anywhere - Baby. Prepare for the long cold winter to CONTINUE. And, well, the People in Bora Bora have this too. And one tv show says winter can come and last for damn near forever. Look. We are Stuck. It's bad.

The Spring begins when suddenly we are all weary of Gloom.
No help is coming, the trees are barren. The horizon is gloomy. The only thing blowing in is chilly. We are too beaten down to watch the shapeless clouds drift by. Gradually our head flops down to our feet.

Only God could help. Only God could help. Only God Himself could help.

Doesn't it make sense Spring would begin in the Sky near the Sun? Yes, and only the ground itself is watching Up. Light has miraculously been arriving. Darkness and gloom do not prevent the Light. We might, with a smile, call this grassroots.

What is Grassroots?

God our Refuge.

God is Good.

God tells us. God Tells us. God Tells Us. Remember. For every time there is a Season. Under Heaven.

And we learn lessons a shepherd learned as a boy and has started an endless circle of Love rolling to never end. Three thousand years.

Matters that cause us concern.

It's so bad - we have 14 Senators sending up a bill for the almost born to be killed horribly. And Canada is defrocking CS Lewis former students who are 90-year-old saints and priests for refusing to let the Bible say Zim for neutral gender.

We know reality. In England, it's out of fashion to love the Bible. And display Salt Papyrus 124 where Pharoah talks about Mose and natural disaster.

God delights in mankind and finds saints. Say that again. Delights. Numbers 6, God not only smiles. He Delights. He Shines. His face raises with anticipation of Joy. Sustainable Love. Excellent ones He sees.

Trouble? Yes for those troubles dotting in and out. We look to what is good and noble and pure and sustains what God delights in - Life.

God tells us we do NOT have to focus on what is not Good.

What is my future? God is holding this in His Heart. I can trust God. I can dwell reading the Promises of God. God is Truth. His Word Holds True.

God tells us not to hold drink offerings with what is not sustainable. Interesting phrasing. Put our minds at work there.

Counsel in Dreams. Good to know.

We'll Trust God.

Abba, Father God,

You make known to me the path of Life and
In Your presence, there is fullness of Joy
at Your Right Hand are pleasures forever
and this we know to be
Jesus the Christ of God.

The Future is always in Your Capable Hands.

Help us to put down concerns and anxieties. Bringing more Heaven to earth, blessing the communion of saints - the praying believers enveloping Your Good Creation with Prayer. Heaven circling the earth with the prayer blessed by Jesus Christ in His Word.

Believing so completely our Loved ones are given to You, Abba. Knowing in Prayer this is so well, completely and Lovingly cared for we can take the concerns running from ourselves all the way to the Nation and know Your Love called upon - with faith - always answers. You are Steadfast Love.

I am giving You thanks for good healing in my arm. For the doctor and all his office. For the caring ER people found.

For Jesus as Light of the world, blessing us further than we will know in this life.

Feeling the fullness of Joy, You are our Father of all Seasons and Enduring, Steadfast Love.

Our Jesus Christ Always. Amen.

Genesis 45 ~ come near to Me, please

Several weeks ago, the Post was about the Family of Jacob.

The 12 Sons of Jacob. Surely God had blundered in. God does not blunder. God always is God. Perhaps in the vast of Space, Father God the Almighty of All of Creation said, "Let there be Light." So we would understand how Vast God is. How Warm is God's Love for you. His Precious Child.

The First Word of God is Jesus. The Universe. This is Huge.

And God - who has a real Home, in a real Kingdom, begins the story of His Love, your Father, running home to - you. Home is where the Gate narrows off the road.

The Wild Winds of Life.

Our Lives. We wonder where we fit in. What's the Plan. God starts with only His Universe. The Holy Spirit abides on the waters (everywhere in the new Creation) as God discovers He delights in His Creation and in mankind. God - delights in - you. The Scriptures are to see the wild winds of life howl - the journey is personally yours and you are going home. Named by God. Chosen by God.

Real Life

Now, what kind of fresh mess is Jacob involved with. Scripture is going to go there. Really.  Family. Sticky notes. We have a blind, blind, blind father who has no healthy idea of siblings. A manipulative mother. A self-centered brother. And God. Then we have a plotting gentile, goy father and a very prissy, missy who marries her betrothed off to her sister. And then the servant/ girlfriend /concubines and we end up with 12 sons of probable far-flung nationalities and a daughter.

Fortunately, there is nothing of substance to fight about and they will live happily ever after in the Bronze Age. Leading lives of long robes, sheep and happy thoughts.

When God speaks, He is outside of the cage of time.

Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow are His and He has the Answers. God delights in mankind.

All of the togetherness of tents, sheep, wives, children - is really a lot of time to develop as a human being. This Vast story is coming down to individuality and Jesus as God.

And this group of 12 sons finds they are Fighting. Over marriages, sister, household - - - items. Goats. Lambs. Coats. Slavery, excuses, falsehood, death, separation and murder of the truth.

Bronze Age or pre wooden arrow age:

Eve decided the 'Apple' did away with God.

The 12 Sons of God decided slavery (devotion to self-comfort, self-planning and career intoxication are salvation) did away with Truth. Reality becomes starvation at many levels.

The First Family of God's Nation start individual lives by deciding the Winds of Life and I will do - what? Ranchers are like David. Shepherds spread out to guard the flock. This is a time to discover self-discovery and thoughts.

The Sons of Jacob Israel will have a whole generation to discover God's Plan.

Bronze Age to Iron Age. Shepherds in the Church Nativity Play. Same Jet Stream.

John 3:6-8
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

God is Using the Same Story. Saying remember, remember, remember.

The Vast Plan of the Universe looks a lot like Jesus walking on water to pull up His beloved Simon Peter.

The Entry to the Exodus looks a lot like the Exodus. A Generation of waiting to see God's Plan.

The Vast Plan of God is explained in a Word. A Phrase. A Paragraph. A Sentence. Books and Books of Scripture and is the Father running to the Prodigal - you.

When we see the real Heartbreak of the Scriptures - we learn God is not forsaking His Person.

The map is finding the Path. The Narrow Path. The grains of sand on the beach - as many times as Your Father has thought of you. Your hand in Your Fathers. Prayer.

God's Hand to Hold in the wild winds of Life.

Each verse of Scripture is written for you.

To find how much He loves you.

Time and time again we run into the fact - this life is temporary.

And the wild winds of life - the drama and the fear - are shaping us to become who we will be.

Reuben is pulling for Joseph. Jacob is furious with Reuben. Rueben is pulling for Leah. Benjamin longs for Joseph. All Fight for Dinah. Each verse is about Jesus and the Journey. We are the Prodigals to remember Life is His Story. Remember the map said something about this. The Bible.

The story isn't about Reuben, Joseph, Jacob, Leah or Dinah.
Jesus is the Way, Truth and Life. Each verse is about Jesus. God did not anoint David for anything but his heart. God's purpose in this life is to put seeds on our path and we determine to find Jesus.

Genesis 45

45 Then Joseph could not control himself before all those who stood by him.

He cried, “Make everyone go out from me.” So no one stayed with him when Joseph made himself known to his brothers.

2 And he wept aloud,
so that the Egyptians heard it, and the household of Pharaoh heard it. 3 And Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph! Is my father still alive?”

But his brothers could not answer him, for they were astonished, dismayed, in awe at his presence.

4 So Joseph said to his brothers, “Come near to me, please.”

And they came near.

And he said, “I am your brother,
Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt. 5 And now do not be distressed or angry with yourselves because you sold me here,

for God sent me before you to preserve life.

6 For the famine has been in the land
these two years, and there are yet five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvest.

7 And God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant on earth,
and to keep alive for you many survivors.

8 So it was not you who sent me here, but God. He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt. 9 Hurry and go up to my father and say to him, ‘Thus says your son Joseph, God has made me lord of all Egypt.

Come down to me; do not tarry.
10 You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near me, you and your children and your children's children, and your flocks, your herds, and all that you have. 11 There I will provide for you, for there are yet five years of famine to come, so that you and your household, and all that you have, do not come to poverty.’ 12 And now your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin see, that it is my mouth that speaks to you. 13 You must tell my father of all my honor in Egypt, and of all that you have seen. Hurry and bring my father down here.” 14 Then he fell upon his brother Benjamin's neck and wept, and Benjamin wept upon his neck. 15 And he kissed all his brothers and wept upon them. After that his brothers talked with him.

16 When the report was heard in Pharaoh's house, “Joseph's brothers have come,” it pleased Pharaoh and his servants. 17 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Say to your brothers, ‘Do this: load your beasts and go back to the land of Canaan, 18 and take your father and your households, and come to me, and I will give you the best of the land of Egypt, and you shall eat the fat of the land.’ 19 And you, Joseph, are commanded to say, ‘Do this: take wagons from the land of Egypt for your little ones and for your wives, and bring your father, and come. 20 Have no concern for your goods, for the best of all the land of Egypt is yours.’”

21 The sons of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the command of Pharaoh, and gave them provisions for the journey. 22 To each and all of them he gave a change of clothes, but to Benjamin he gave three hundred shekels of silver and five changes of clothes.

23 To his father he sent as follows: ten donkeys loaded with the good things of Egypt, and ten female donkeys loaded with grain, bread, and provision for his father on the journey. 24 Then he sent his brothers away, and as they departed, he said to them, “Do not quarrel on the way.”

25 So they went up out of Egypt and came to the land of Canaan to their father Jacob.

26 And they told him, “Joseph is still alive, and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt.” And his heart became numb, for he did not believe them. 27 But when they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said to them, and when he saw the wagons that Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of their father Jacob revived.

28 And Israel said, “It is enough; Joseph my son is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.”

We read the Map - The Scriptures - to find Jesus and live the way, the truth and the Life.

In all this forsakenness of the First Family of God's Own Nation,
we find the truth in Psalm 136. Steadfast Love does not leave. Blessing. God's Own Blessing.

We tie our questions about the wild winds of life into Scriptures. And we apply.

Occasionally you are asked, "What did you see about God this week?" And unless you have time to sit and gather the wool - you can't answer.

Or unless you have repeat, repeat and remember, remember.

I was asked about two years ago why exorcism doesn't work like the movies. Because Jacob stole the blessing and lived life knowing he was going to bless Everyone. It's a mixed bag since God said, "Let there be Light." And "Apple." And the truth is London has reported exorcism Really does work in aged and heavily populated places. Now, why include this tidbit of TMI? Because when we live life telling the truth and doing our best - we clean the path straight for generations. There is A Lot of Good Work in... "this little Light of mine."

Kind of like this: "What did God say to you this week?"

On Monday, at 1 a.m., I went in to get my sheepskin Plantar fasciitis booties from the den. My dear little lamb, Beaux turned into a wolf and we had two trips to the doctor and two trips to the ER. We are praying, calling for and happily accepting prayer for my arm, side, leg and the dog now departed our house. All to heal.

So on Saturday, a dear loved one announced - in the restaurant - the stunning news they never said they were Pro-Life. Lamb does what??? Husband then makes the growling noise at the news. And everyone tries to be quite contained. While stunned. And the song reaches the Chorus at the repeated phrase: " Reverend Step-grandfather Tate said - hell is a long trip in the car with your loved ones."

The car trip home happens. "Hey, Let's be cool here. I never said to either of you I'm Pro-Life. I know your (tone) Stance here."

Silence. Om.

"I never said I was Pro-Life. I have a stance."

I said, "Well having worked in Pro-Life for three and a half years, I can tell you I don't have a "stance."

"Oh - You Have a Stance."

"No, I have found so many people are unsupported in real pain in their past, they really don't need more thrown at them. I have a "Belief" and I have a "Compassion", but I can tell you for sure I don't have a 'stance.'"

"That's A Stance."

"No, that's a deep and abiding "Belief" with 'Compassion'. A "Stance" eats your face off. Like my dog and my arm."

And our dear one was able to say we don't routinely eat off arms. I'm happy to say this does relate to the Scripture Passage.

All lambs are wolves. God says so.

Romans 3:23
'All' have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

If Jacob had not been human enough to wrestle with God, he might have self righteously cast off Leah. Cast off Rachael. Cast off Rueben and his sons and stayed with Laban. And if Jacob had stayed with Laban, we'd have what to call Jacob Israel. We apply Scripture to understand when to get off the pillow and move forward with God.

Jacob decided to work with his lambs.
He knew the spots. The spots were apparent. We get the choice. We understand we have to dig to work with goat sheep wolf. We can be screeching blind Isaac. Plotting Rebecca. Insolent Essau intent on his sport. We can call them all wolves. And because Israel called them Lambs and Beloved - we want to know the story and want healing.

Social Media has emboldened us all to be vocal if we are Pro-Life or not. If we support Hilary or not. Emboldened is one thing. To give up care is another. We continue to love one another. And to hold each other up gently. To love one another covers a multitude of sins. Because our conversation about Pro-Life was gentle, there is another conversation and another and another and finally to be told I wouldn't take up being NOT Pro Life. I myself wouldn't do that. To cut someone off is to leave them in the cold.

Jesus never left.

We want to see Jesus' new Heaven and new earth.

We want the adventure of the narrow gate with Jesus.

Jacob is God's Blessing to us. We want his hand on our head.

Jacob is the end of the "Stance." Jacob is Jesus with Zacchaeus. Jacob is Jesus going to the lost sons of Israel. Jacob shines so brightly, Jacob is bringing the Light of Christ to the Nations.

What happened to the loved one with Stances. He melted. He knows Love. Love Wins. God's Plan Wins. Every Time.

Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend.

You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful Light.
~ Peter, buried under a rock in Pauper's Graveyard (Cicero uses the word) on Vaticani Montes (hill) in Rome. Now of the same Rock 80 feet under the Vatican Altar. 60 years of Archaeological Research. That Peter. That Rock. That "Gates of Hell won't prevail." Yes. That Rock.

Contend for the faith that the Lord has once for all entrusted to us, his people.

When they have stood the test, they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
~ James, Brother of Jesus. Formerly new earth, now new Heaven.

Minute 47 colorfully tells us of streams of water and birds. The Sermon completes our longing for Heaven and our prayers to fill us all now.

Abba, Father God,

Be the Wind of our Lives. Be the Wind where You send us. We are the Easter People and Alleluia is our Song. As Jesus took His Breath of Life after Living from death, we are part of His Breathe in the New Covenant.

The Breath of Jesus Christ surrounding us. In this moment. God's Eternal Love. His Steadfast Love never forsakes us. Blessed to be with Steadfast Love. You assure us of Your Living Presence in Psalm 139.

Abba, be in front of us to Guide and Lead us in Your Love and Encouragement.
Abba, be behind us to leave Your Mercy and Love in our footprints.
Abba, be beside us to hold our hand in Prayer and in Your Love continuously.
Abba, please be in me. Giving me Your Redemption and Righteousness in the Name of Jesus always I ask.

Abba, cover those I love in the Name of Jesus living in us all.

Abba, Guide and Lead us with Such High and Steadfast Love we know the Nation is safely entrusted to You.

Abba, be behind the Children of God in peace for today and in prayer filling Your Good Plan and Will for more Heaven on earth for all of mankind. For All of Creation.

Blessing You knowing Your Plan covers all of Creation.

Jesus is God. Amen.

About scripture-for-today.blogspot.com/

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He has saved all who call upon His name and rely on Him for His Grace. The Scriptures are living & active and are for understanding the Lord Almighty. Biblical readings are chosen from the Ecumenical Christian Church and the Nicene Council, 325 A.D., approved Apocrypha. About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
