John 9:1-17 ~ He is

John 9:1-17

As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. 4 As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

6 After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. 7 “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.

8 His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, “Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?” 9 Some claimed that he was.

Others said, “No, he only looks like him.”

But he himself insisted, “I am the man.”

10 “How then were your eyes opened?” they asked.

11 He replied, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see.”

12 “Where is this man?” they asked him.

“I don’t know,” he said.

13 They brought to the Pharisees the man who had been blind. 14 Now the day on which Jesus had made the mud and opened the man’s eyes was a Sabbath. 15 Therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. “He put mud on my eyes,” the man replied, “and I washed, and now I see.”

16 Some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath.”

But others asked, “How can a sinner perform such signs?” So they were divided.

17 Then they turned again to the blind man, “What have you to say about him? It was your eyes he opened.”

The man replied, “He is a prophet.”

This portion of the Gospel of John points out some of the futility of trying to judge the sin of others. Jesus told us not to cast our pearls before swine. He told us to be discerning and He said to be as wise as serpents and innocent as doves.

People sometimes wonder if Jesus was a Rabbi, He was - a Teacher. Jesus was not a Priest in the conventional sense, He was not a descendant of Levi, but of the tribe of Judah. Priests were not allowed, even if they were Levi descendants if they had handicaps such as blindness. Handicapped people were not allowed access to the inner portion of the Temple.  Which is a somewhat unusual because Jacob wanted the spotted goats and not the pure ones.

The people Jesus chose as disciples asked Him if sin makes the man blind, and Jesus says - no,  it's for the miracle you are about to see.  Jesus was asked when a portion of the Tower of Siloam fell, is misfortune always sin :

Luke 13:1-5
Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 Jesus answered, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? 3 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.

4 Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”

John 9 is the swirl of good and determination of evil and it repeats. The events around Jesus were so charged with God, it confused people. It is the way the Scriptures begin, in the second chapter of Genesis. People want to determine right and wrong for themselves. The first person Jesus openly declared Himself as the Messiah, was a sinner and He said we need to worship God from our hearts. It is our hearts that make us saints, to believe and to act upon that belief.

God spoke to Elijah in quietness, we all have times to be quiet each day. We learn about ourselves in events in our lives.  Invest in prayer, invest in the hope of God. His spoken Word - JESUS CHRIST THE LORD. Invest in learning the Scripture, His Word to us. Telling us of His teaching about judgement and repentance.

Jeremiah 29:13
If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

Matthew 11:19
The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners."

This is GOOD NEWS! Jesus is friend of Sinners. All have fallen short of the Glory of God. We need God to reach to us like Jesus reached to Peter. We are not able to obtain Salvation by our own merits.

Abba,

Thank You Father God for reaching for Peter.

I Praise You for Your Mercy. Let Grace upon Grace find my heart open to You, Father God.

Please fill me, my loved ones, my friends, my Nation and those Nations who wholeheartedly seek You.

We ask Your blessings would pour forth in bringing the gifts, talents and Path of God to bring Joy, Love, Peace and Goodness to our lives in gratitude. In Jesus. Amen.

Acts 1:8-14 ~ one accord

Acts 1:8-14

8 You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

9 And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.

10 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, 11 and said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven."

12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey away.

13 And when they had entered, they went up to the upper room, where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James. 14 All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.

Jesus fulfills the Word of God. Immediately the people who were apart, were put together with one accord.

Mary had campaigned for safety of her family and of Jesus above God's Work.

The Disciples traveled with Jesus, usually the women were not included. And the women bravely were the ones who stood for Jesus during Good Friday.

The brothers of Jesus had taunted Jesus to be more spectacular.

When we feel life is unfair, Psalm 23 tells us the mercy and goodness we leave in our footprints is God seeing our lives. What we give is more important - God fully understands who and where Gideon is and God concentrates on God's Plan.

1 Corinthians 15:6
After that, he was seen by more than 500 of his followers

Romans assures us the 500 had not been stellar enough to be on His List.

Why should we do like John's Gospel Chapter 1 and seek Jesus? God sees Nathaniel pray and God is 'with' Nathaniel. Flaws of Nathaniel and all - God delights in Nathaniel. Proverbs 8 tells us God delights in mankind. When we feel life is not fair - we are fully assured - just as God includes us - His Love covers us all.

The abounding Grace of God is what we need. And what we know others need. It is all the reason in the World to Love Father God who gives us Jesus.

1800s Jerusalem

God our Father and Jesus, His only Son, are working today.

Jesus told us to always Pray with Hope.

Abba, Holy Father God,

We would ask Your Blessing upon us and upon our Loved Ones. The goodness You are sets forth to save the world in Jesus Christ.

We would ask more of Your Good and Willing Father Hope and Future. More Heaven on this earth. Rejoicing in answered Prayer. Seeking to see His Blessings. Our Teacher and Comforter.

Loving, enfolding, strengthening His Beloved and the Nation trusting in Him. The nations of the world reflecting the Light of Jesus Christ.

Blessings on our Veterinarian finding a faster space for our dog. Blessed.

And His Creation, He calls Good goes forth in Jesus Christ. Amen.

Psalm 24 ~ The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof

Psalm 24

1 The earth is the LORD's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein, 2 for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.

3 Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD?
And who shall stand in his holy place?

4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully.

5 He will receive blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Selah

7 Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle!

9 Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. 10 Who is this King of glory?

The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory! Selah

Last week I've had my Church online membership have to be renewed twice to make a reservation. Deleted in a matter of two minutes. Probably not a human hand.  Today our veterinarian had no record of my dog's ear infection appointment. His ear required 5 cotton balls today and now the appointment we showed up for is on Wednesday. We waited 7 days for today's appointment. The keys to my year and half computer work and don't work. My new keyboard then acts the same.

For two weeks my photos won't save and then the file folders are hidden and won't open. Petty leading up to increasing anger like the dog appointment for bleeding ear. Still peace is present.

So much of our lives are on computers and their safety.

Last month, I left the dog's leash on and the backyard had damage from a concrete ornament being pulled over. The damage and the repair costed a lot. And damage caused more damage and a repair that had 7 parts and 7 times we had to figure out the solution. A month of repair. One repair waited on the next repair and parts and workmen.

Where does the harm come from?

In Science - The Second Law of Thermodynamics - all of our earthly existence is in decay.
Brains fail. Souls are tested. Accidents occur from nano decisions. Dust is broken down from ceiling paint, human skin, the decay of the table - all of this.

Bodily - decay. Hopefully we sustain our soul to our mind and do not cause anguish to others as we age.

In Scripture - The Book of Daniel. This process is not unknown to our God.

In all of our seasons - we have Hope. And Hope does not disappoint us. The Light of God Himself and His Glory shines within us.

It's not the corruption of a thing, a place, a time, a culture because our earth has seen so much rise and fall - what is Good, what is Peace, what is Love is the Redemption.

We would have to cry out with Credit to this Enduring Goodness. GOD. God has given us His Exact Nature in Jesus. God's Hope for this life is more Heaven on earth.

Heaven on earth.
Truth.
Love.
Warmth.
Sincerity even in rebuke.
Integrity.
Valor.
Joy.
This is our redemption in Jesus Christ.

The earth is the Lord's and the fullness of His Creation.

God's goodness will prevail. The Light of God Endures.

Father God,

Abraham knew You to be God of Blessing. God of Answered Prayer. God of Justice.

We ask the Full Light of Jesus Christ shines in our lives. Prevailing every Day.

The Darkness ends as Jesus Christ is God.

Bless those giving Blessing and Hoping in God's Goodness. End the pettiness and frustration of wickedness permanently in Justice.

More Heaven on earth for those Loving and Blessing the Goodness of God. For the Nation Trusting in God. For the nations trusting in God and providing all of God's Blessings on the Beloved of God.

In Jesus Christ, Amen.

Matthew 13:32 ~ branches

Matthew 13:32

It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.

Jesus we are told crossed the Sea of Galilee 3 times in one day.

Mankind tends to take the long road. All the frustrations and difficulties unload like a long computer download. Why we can't do - this or - that. What the other person puts up for road block. Why the organization fails. What the repeat problems are. The same roads with cluttered difficulties. What to do with the same set of circumstance. Repeat wet blanket. Repeat arguments. Life can hand us clutter in conversations. We can equate this to detour signs as a regular part of life.

Jesus crossing the Sea of Galilee is saying all of this is the Very Good Plan of God for a Hope and Future. Jesus is shelter in the middle of the Sea of Galilee. God's Deliberate Plan.

Jesus started the day with Joy. He knew before He was asked what the Prayer was. Jesus enjoys the journey. Giving His Love and time to us. The Beloved of God are a joy to God and not burdensome.

God is the Light of the world. This Light of God gives direction. Hope. Love. Peace. Security. Give us tolerance and humor. Gives us compassion. Gives us the ability to engage with warmth and deal with situations, concerns and conversations.

God really is Love. Really is compassion. God really is Peace. God really is Joy. God gives us a reason to love one another with hope and compassion.

Human beings do put up reasons to resist God. Gideon gave God every reason to find another. Moses did this. Peter told Jesus He needed someone without sin.

God answered their road blocks, worries, insecurities with this wonderful comfort of God the Holy Comforter, "I am with you."

What God has asked us to accomplish, we will.

Matthew 13

31 Jesus put before them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man planted in his field. 32 Although it is the smallest of all seeds, yet it grows into the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”

The Promises of God are for us. God is saving the world through - Jesus Christ. God is what the Disciple John saw in Jesus Christ; God of Love. God is the hope and future of all His Beloved. God fulfills His Word for us all.

When we feel compassion, warmth, care and Love - we are renewing in God to give to others. When we give this to others - we are bringing more Heaven to earth. God wants us to find more Heaven on earth to bring to others and experience.

Abba, Father God

With all circumstances in our lives, let us have the ability to trust in You. We want ours souls where You dwell to be a welcoming place for You.

We thank You for diligence with Trust. Many things in life, by Your Plan, are beyond our control. We ask You for the strength of soul Your Good Works require. We lift up those we Love, the People You've given us, our Churches, Nation and all people of the world and their Nations in Jesus.

In Jesus Christ, Amen.

Hebrews 11:32-12:2 ~ The Joy

Hebrews 11:32-12:2

32 And what more shall I say?

For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets— 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms,
enforced justice,
obtained promises,
stopped the mouths of lions,
34 quenched the power of fire,
escaped the edge of the sword,
were made strong out of weakness,
became mighty in war,
put foreign armies to flight.
35 Women received back their dead by resurrection.
Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might rise again to a better life.
36 Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment.
37 They were stoned,
they were sawn in two, they were killed with the sword.
They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated—
38 of whom the world was not worthy—
wandering about in deserts and mountains,
and in dens and caves of the earth.

39 And all these, though commended through their faith, did not receive what was promised, 40 since God had provided something better for us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect.

12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses,
let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely,

and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith,
who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame,
and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

We have looked at comparison and contrasts this week.

Hebrews 11 and Hebrews 12 is filled with Victory and Struggle.
by Jesus as God's Son Victorious.

In all seasons of our lives, in all circumstance - we find Peace in God.

In all of life - to see Jesus is to find direction. The Way, the Truth and the Life.

The Great Peace of Jesus is the wind and waves obey Jesus.

Jesus is the Peace passing understanding. This is not to downplay the uncertainty the very Disciples of Jesus displayed in His Living Presence. Jesus never, ever castigated His people for their emotions. Even in the middle of their questions - they could be seen in the Chapters of the Gospel finding Peace in the middle of the turbulence of life.

The Peace that passes all understanding is not reached through bootstrap pulling or guilt or shame. Jesus is the Light of the world and we know, to find Jesus is to find the Light.

The wind and the waves of the storm are cleared. The Light shines. The darkness has not overcome the Light. This is the Peace that passes all understanding. Clearly, Jesus is the Light world. Father God tells us the light of God shines in mankind. We believe and Trust Him.

Blessed be Jesus. Given to us by our Father God. Covering us, covering those we love. Jesus covering all the believers of the world. Jesus guiding the Nation and nations trusting in Him.

Alleluia, we are the people of Jesus. Amen.

Psalm 40 ~ your steadfast love and your faithfulness

Psalm 40

A Psalm of David.

I waited patiently for the Lord;
he inclined to me and heard my cry.
2 He drew me up from the pit of destruction,
out of the miry bog,
and set my feet upon a rock,
making my steps secure.

3 He put a new song in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear,
and put their trust in the Lord.

4 Blessed is the man who makes
the Lord his trust,
who does not turn to the proud,
to those who go astray after a lie!
5 You have multiplied, O Lord my God,
your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us;
none can compare with you!
I will proclaim and tell of them,
yet they are more than can be told.

6 In sacrifice and offering you have not delighted,
but you have given me an open ear.

Burnt offering and sin offering
you have not required.
7 Then I said, “Behold, I have come;
in the scroll of the book it is written of me:

8 I delight to do your will, O my God;
your law is within my heart.”

9 I have told the glad news of deliverance
in the great congregation;
behold, I have not restrained my lips,
as you know, O Lord.

10 I have not hidden your deliverance within my heart;
I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation;
I have not concealed your steadfast love and your faithfulness
from the great congregation.

11 As for you, O Lord, you will not restrain
your mercy from me;
your steadfast love and your faithfulness will
ever preserve me!
12 For evils have encompassed me
beyond number;
my iniquities have overtaken me,
and I cannot see;
they are more than the hairs of my head;
my heart fails me.

13 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me!
O Lord, make haste to help me!
14 Let those be put to shame and disappointed altogether
who seek to snatch away my life;
let those be turned back and brought to dishonor
who delight in my hurt!
15 Let those be appalled because of their shame
who say to me, “Aha, Aha!”

16 But may all who seek you
rejoice and be glad in you;
may those who love your salvation
say continually, “Great is the Lord!”
17 As for me, I am poor and needy,
but the Lord takes thought for me.
You are my help and my deliverer;
do not delay, O my God!

What would David 1000 B.C, . 200 years after Pharoah Setti have in common with Deuteronomy 8 of Moses?

Pharoah Setti II has history recording two papyrus of "Msy:. One papyrus called  T'he Tale of Two Brothers" - a fabulous story of troubles within a family on the death of their father, a situation of the two half brothers trying for the throne.   Papyrus Salt 124 - A controversy for sending a dispute to the High Official "Msy". Finally, and most importantly, it is well known that the chief foreman of Deir el-Medina, a certain Neferhotep, was killed in the reign of king Amenmesse on the orders of a certain 'Msy' who was either foreign himself or one of this king's agents, according the papyrus.  Times were very troubled in Thebes.

Setti II leaves no son with two wives.

Setti II was succeeded by a Canaanite a cheerful man, about the only statue of a only cheerful Pharaoh.

Pharaoh Sutailja was a Canaanite rather than a native Egyptian name which means that his mother was almost certainly a king's concubine from Canaan. A relief in the Louvre Museum "pairs Siptah's name together with the name of his mother a certain Sutailja or Shoteraja. Sutailja was a Canaanite rather than a native Egyptian name which means that she was almost certainly a king's concubine from Canaan. She, his mother, might be mother of Ramesses-Siptah and a wife of Ramesses II."

Pharaoh Sutailja is dug up and placed in the tomb of the Pharaoh Amenhotep II. Amenhotep II was known to dislike non-Egyptians's, but his very famous father Thutmose III was the first to record Goshen and Joseph in the tax rolls. Thutmose III was an amazing builder.

Deuteronomy 8

“The whole commandment that I command you today you shall be careful to do, that you may live and multiply, and go in and possess the land that the Lord swore to give to your fathers. 2 And you shall remember the whole way that the Lord your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, testing you to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments or not.

3 And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know,
that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone,
but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.

4 Your clothing did not wear out on you and your foot did not swell these forty years. 5 Know then in your heart that, as a man disciplines his son, the Lord your God disciplines you. 6 So you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God by walking in his ways and by fearing him. 7 For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, flowing out in the valleys and hills, 8 a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive trees and honey, 9 a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing, a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you can dig copper. 10 And you shall eat and be full, and you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.

11 “Take care lest you forget the Lord your God by not keeping his commandments and his rules and his statutes, which I command you today, 12 lest, when you have eaten and are full and have built good houses and live in them, 13 and when your herds and flocks multiply and your silver and gold is multiplied and all that you have is multiplied, 14 then your heart be lifted up, and you forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, 15 who led you through the great and terrifying wilderness, with its fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was no water, who brought you water out of the flinty rock, 16 who fed you in the wilderness with manna that your fathers did not know,
that he might humble you and test you,
to do you good in the end.

17 Beware lest you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gotten me this wealth.’ 18 You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

19 And if you forget the Lord your God and go after other gods and serve them and worship them, I solemnly warn you today that you shall surely perish. 20 Like the nations that the Lord makes to perish before you, so shall you perish,
because you would not obey the voice of the Lord your God.

We see Egypt did their best to forget "Msy" and the terrible trouble with lack of heirs and thrones left vacant with wrangling. To forget the Wondrous Acts of God. And the Children of Israel did their best to remember. David was brought up 200 years later to remember this to his heart.

The lessons learned in the survival of the desert did not leave David during his times of testing and trial. The House of David is remembered today. And very few remember Setti II.

God tells us we live on every Word of God. That life will test us, remain calm. So many of the worries of the Children of Israel could have been avoided by remembering the Amazing Power of God.

David believed and, like Abraham, this is counted to him as righteousness.

Father God,

We see the disciples lived with constant concern, questions and even fear. David had reason to fear. The Children of Israel were afraid moving through life.

When events change and the news confuses us with Your Plan.

We can reason with You, Father God. Remember Your Steadfast Love and Your Faithfulness.

You interweave all things to Your Good Purpose. Even concern can be a time to have steadfast control, re-thinking, learning. The Disciples used their fears to have the chance to make their Way.

We will consider and speak of our concerns, to be able to Overcome all Concerns with Prayer.

Having confidence to walk past the Gates of Heaven in our prayer life. To ask Jesus to Cover us with His Name. Jesus has told us, really, that The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. We will follow the shining waters, to see the Emerald Throne of God. To lean upon His legs and know His Love. Steadfast and tell Abba our concerns. Jesus will be there with us, like John 17, praying with us today.

Father, when the wild winds of life, howl and change, we will look to Your unchanging Word and Love. Knowing You created us all and this world speaking Light into Life, and into all of mankind. Your reaction to seeing all the complexities and complications in all of us - is Salvation. Giving us Jesus as our Sacrifice and still today as our Savior.

Your mercies renew each day, embolden and enable us to go forth knowing Your Strength and Your Joy will fill us. Even on the days of questions.

Jesus Christ for us. Jesus Christ fill us. Jesus Christ fill those we Love. Jesus Christ for our communities. Jesus Christ for our Churches believing all the Word of God. Jesus Christ for our Nation. Jesus Christ the Light to all Nations. Jesus Christ wanting to save the world. Giving Abba a New Kingdom in Heaven and on earth. Jesus Lives Within us, in our soul.

The Fulfillment of His Righteousness. Jesus Christ. Amen.

Revelation 13:1-10 ~ God's people

Two days of the year - going back to back like liver and birthday cake - All Hallows / Halloween to become All Saints Day.

Shrove Tuesday / Mardi Gras abuts Ash Wednesday/ Lent. The world at large has considered this and we're seeing more Mardi Gras purple green and gold Halloween decorations.
Contrast and comparison.

The Scripture is picked from a category and then explained. Today the rough pick was Revelation 13. Revelation and Isaiah. So the three wise men walked up to the Herodian Palace and asked to see the Messiah Prince of Judea. We will fully see through the glass as God wants us to do this.

Revelation 13:9-10

9 Whoever has ears, let them hear. 10 “If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword they will be killed.”This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God’s people.

The portion is actually Revelation 13:1-10 describing fierce beasts beyond what is in God's natural plan. And we could relate this to terrible nightmares and situations. We have all faced the loss of a loved one, disease, ill health, financial problems, being shamed in public, loosing friends - even dear friends. We all know loss in this life and need to see what God does with loss.

The Book of Revelation is God's fullness, steadfast Love and all His Promises encountering loss from His Creation and from the free will choice from His delight in you and me - mankind.

God reacts strongly. It is absolutely shocking to God to discover the beast of evil is glorified. It's beyond imagination. The beast is seen by the ocean. All of the Vast Goodness of God is rejected for a power and place and glory that will fade. God's nature is clearly perceived and rejected.

What is to be done?

How will God react?

2 Timothy 3:16-17
16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

1. God is not in denial. But apparently God takes time to truly consider what He is seeing.

2. God recognizes goats, weeds and terrible horror exist. God is absolutely not ho-hum about seeing horror.

3. What God is saying is that terrible things do happen to good people and to God Himself. For example, Good Friday. God is recognizing the fright and fear in catastrophe happen even when He Himself lives in holiness.

Luke 13

1 There were some present at that very time who told him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. 2 And he answered them, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered in this way? 3No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. 4 Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in Jerusalem? 5No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.”

4. God is judging this Revelation 13:1-10 as awful. He has said He observed now and determined.

5. Summing this up so far - Observe. Not denial. Pause, consider. The impact on the innocent. Now determining the Just Judgment of God.

6. Part of Overcoming is coming to grips with the fight. God has decided to face the harshness of the outcome. When we face our fears and decide even if the worst should occur - we are stronger than in denial. Fears faced take the monster down to being flat. Jesus told us to Rise. When we feel we can go on and live to move, dwell and have our being with Father God - then we continue on with the Good Fight. Fear in itself can be crippling. We all know stress is a killer.

7. Emotions
God has truly sorted out fear, injustice, willingness to go on, a fierce and unenjoyable time. God has not said repress emotions. This observation is filled with so dramatic a representation of a horrible war and monster - we can't be blase. No repression of emotion is suggested. Nor profitable to the one in the struggle.

8. Prepare and endure - we are doubtless less than overjoyed. God has said if you live by the sword - you will die by the sword. We sometimes remember David was at war and was the warrior king, yet this loss is after the New Covenant and this is in the New Testament. If we determine to live by the sword, we will die by the sword. We do not justify the ends match the means.

Romans 12:21
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

8 We all tend to try to blend in to our environment. Our culture expresses emotion for our very lives with life opinions (we will all decide if we lived meaningful lives) with political argument. We are truly saying our heart about our lives in our political words. Lately, it's in the news without direct disapproval to discuss killing politicians and rhetoric of bombs and bumper stickers. We've see an increase of violence on celebrities and athletes. We should never support anyone calling for violence.

Violence happens when evil and good collide - evil decides the imbalance would be to it's advantage. The instability is to be examined. God has not condemned looking at the abomination with all types of emotion. God wisely says do not become filled with evil and thoughts of vengeance. ~ Fight the Good Fight.

Do not yield the Good Fight.

Sweden is known having liberal ways and touted with many answers and many questions. Sweden takes All Saints Day to remember Love is worth holding in beautiful remembrance. It's interesting to see the beauty of the photo - none of the gory hype of Halloween and not blithely ignoring All Saints and the remembrance of the people dearly held and life lessons, where we are strengthened.

Romans 3 Faith of our Fathers

16 Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. 17 As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.

18 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed

Hebrews 11

6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Abba, our Father,

In all circumstances, we seek Your Blessing. And in all conditions, from Your Hand, strengthen us to have our body, mind and soul to have strength in Your Love to Love. In the Power of God - we will never yield the Good Fight.

1 John 4:8
Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.

We know Jesus told us to pray and never give up hope. The father in John 7 is told results will be seen, keep praying and have faith. We cover all we Love with Jesus. And know them to be held in Love.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit

God will save the world in Jesus Christ. Giving power to those who believe to be the children of God.

Our Alleluia in Jesus. Amen.

Romans 12:9-13 ~ Let Love be Genuine

When we consider all the books and papyrus of importance since first century A.D., the 1st century would be astonished with our knowledge and ability to name the Prefect of Judea, Syria was just an outpost with a suburb.  Staggered - at our lack of intimate knowledge of the Roman Emperors of this period. When we think of building projects, we are largely at a loss to know building achievements of the building oriented Roman Empire. Instead we know the names of fishermen, tax collectors and Jesus. We know the Colosseum for the reason of the persecution of Christians.

(We know something the Roman Empire probably did not. The Ptolemy Pharaohs of Egypt were Jews and related to the Herodians. Cleopatra's sister, Arsinoe, is deleted as history takes shortcuts, however the murder of Arsinoe in the Biblically mentioned Temple of Artemis, Diana, Acts 19, 1 Timothy 2 - gives us the DNA studies linking the Herodians and Ptolemy.)

The wisdom of the wise -
The 1st Century would be completely and utterly astonished at the common knowledge our 21st Century labelled important and the winds of the Spirit create what really remains of History in this Anno Domini year of Our Lord .

2 Corinthians 4:18
We look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen.

For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

It's amazing what remains in what we shape and direct of our lives and culture. Today.

The Bible unites people far more than we realize.

We pray more Heaven on earth - few of God's mankind would disagree.

Consider John 14, Jesus is telling the uncertain Disciples about what is important as Jesus still continues with the idea they will eat His Body and drink His Blood. 72 Disciples left over the idea God gets to decide and tell mankind His ideals.  Jesus chooses to tells us what He sees is important - His joy of the life God calls good as Jesus approaches His death.

Still uniting people.

John 14

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.

No one comes to the Father except through me.

When we see History - we see this:

If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”

9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.

We believe this today resting on the Millenniums of Witnesses to God's Glory in their lives. We value because this Word of God's has been Cherished and Loved. God's  people knew the miraculous of "Jesus healed them all." The miracles of Jesus alive shown to 400 people.

History is even the terror of the Roman Emperors, who would not stop because answered God prayer move hearts and mountains.  And Emperors like to call the shots. And human beings lighted on fire in the Coliseum. For their fear. Just as the Egyptian Pharaoh wanted to decide, so did the Emperors.

Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.

16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

18 “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

The Word of God is continually revered.

Since Genesis when God said being alone is Not Good, we have all thought about this.

Leading us to a universal prayer request of God

Romans 12

9 Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.

Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.

Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.

Abba, Holy Father,

We pray for more Heaven on earth. We pray for Love to be Genuine. For meaningful lives.

And this prayer, going around our earth comes from those who Believe Jesus is God. And we pray this reaches across our Nation. Trusting in God our Father Almighty. Circling, embracing and holding dear to uplift all the people we Love and to the entire earth.

In the Highest Name of Jesus, we ask Your Blessings.

Amen.

Psalm 34: 9-14 ~ The Lord, you His saints

Psalm 34: 9-14

9 Fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing.
10 The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
11 Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
12 Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days,
13 keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies.
14 Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

The stories of the Kingdoms of Israel and Judah are our stories!!! And in the middle of the Kingdoms and towards the end, life has a lot of work and many opinions and options. Yet the direction saving the Kings, the Kingdoms, the people swept in events is to worship Him corporately and in His Word. Seeing good, turning away from voluntarily handing Him our messes to clean up and to truly trust Him.

Hezekiah was King. No one doubted that. And Hezekiah found from time to time that his good life was lacking. Hezekiah was as prosperous as Solomon. With fewer blemishes. I sometimes wonder why Hezekiah is not more known. Joshua swept up a mess, surely we understand working with the events life gives us with Trust and Effort.

Hezekiah had all kinds of bad advice from his environmental upbringing. His generational sin was.... heavy. And Hezekiah said to his late father's memory = sure you wanted me to strip the Temple of Gold and hand that to the Assyrians, but really when I got to the point of that abomination - that felt wrong for me.

And we realize Hezekiah had help from golden Isaiah. Well... notice with me Isaiah had three other Kings from whom Isaiah was learning the ropes. Wow. Like Isaiah, we learn as we get older how things work. And older people have some wisdom.

Well. Sometimes. Because we see a lot of the Kings ran after perceived power and other pursuits of 'wisdom'.

Hezekiah had time to make mistakes and recover.

Now also notice being King has perks. And some really awful exposure.

God asks us what decision will we make when we are tried again. Because the truth is Isaiah was working with his fourth King at the end of his life. Isaiah isn't recorded as being "generational -sins- flop- for- Hezekiah's- daddy." (Yet we could make a case for that, but we like Isaiah and give him the nod instead of the magnifying glass.)

God asks us what we will do with our beliefs, our efforts. What King do you pick for your life? Yes, of course the answer is Jesus. In reality, we cannot ever do what Jesus did, because we are not HIM. He was without sin, to forgive our sins.

... are you the right side or the left side? Because unlike Joshua, sometimes we don't get to pick the middle! Of course we are supposed to be balanced, but not all bicycles have the same training wheels in true circumstances. A lot depends on where your alligators are placed. And which metaphor do you like?

In the end, we get to be just like Hezekiah  - who felt like his nice life was about to be invaded, stamped out, rubbed raw, and you just didn't get the fair shake afforded to that dratted Solomon.

Why did Hezekiah prevail? He did something every day... He went out and thundered to the guy next to him about the LORD. Muscular Christianity to the extreme. Nope. The Scriptures record he wept, cried, complained, plotted, thought it out again, fretted, fussed, WHILE HEZEKIAH WAS PRAYING. And he put papers before the Lord and said... what am I to do. Sometimes, even rarely, Hezekiah decided to hush and wait upon the LORD.  Perils of life.

In the end the Kings that prevailed did this...

Fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing.

We get so backward over this. Kings of Israel wanted to stuff our God behind a curtain. Even David did this. People who understand God believes what we say when we say The Kingdom, The Power and The Glory are Yours.

And Hezekiah went forth Thundering Witnesses to this... No. Instead Hezekiah did this...

Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies.
Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

Hezekiah spoke to the Lord, and of the Lord, rather quietly, but used his words, and his actions to reveal his belief that God would work with Hezekiah. And the Word of God says, He does this routinely when we place our trust in HIM.

Abba,

God help me to be one too. In Jesus we pray, covering all.

We will Thank God for the coughing and fever to be leaving.

Unfortunately Computer problems of an odd nature continue in a threatening manner.

Jesus Christ is God Amen.

Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
