Mark 6:29-51

Search

Acts 2:36
“Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.”

29 When John the Baptist's disciples heard of it, they came and took his body and laid it in a tomb.

30 The apostles returned to Jesus and told him all that they had done and taught. 31 And he said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.” For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat. 32 And they went away in the boat to a desolate place by themselves.

33 Now many saw them going and recognized them, and they ran there on foot from all the towns and got there ahead of them. 34 When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd.

And he began to teach them many things.

35 And when it grew late, his disciples came to him and said, “This is a desolate place, and the hour is now late. 36 Send them away to go into the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat.”

37 But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.”

And they said to him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give it to them to eat?”

38 And he said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.”

And when they had found out, they said, “Five, and two fish.” 39 Then he commanded them all to sit down in groups on the green grass. 40 So they sat down in groups, by hundreds and by fifties.

41 And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked to heaven and said a blessing and broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the people. And he divided the two fish among them all. 42 And they all ate and were satisfied. 43 And they took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and of the fish. 44 And those who ate the loaves were five thousand men.

45 Immediately he made his disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd.

46 And after he had taken leave of them, he went up on the mountain to pray.

47 And when evening came, the boat was out on the sea, and he was alone on the land. 48 And he saw that they were making headway painfully, for the wind was against them. And about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. He meant to pass by them, 49 but when they saw him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and cried out, 50 for they all saw him and were terrified.

But immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”

51 And he got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased.

2 Thessalonians 3:16

Now may the Lord of Peace Himself give you peace at all times in every way.

The Lord be with you all.

Abba,

May Your Willing Blessings rest, work and move in our lives. Knowing Your Willingness every day. Filling us with Joy.

700 years before the Birth of Jesus, Your Son, Isaiah began with Good News.

Isaiah 26:3
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.

We fill our lives with prayer in prayer conversation with You, our Father. We ask Blessings. We ask Joy. We ask Favor.

And as we trust in Jesus, You are our Righteousness.

Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the Power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

To share in His Love, His Promises, His Blessings, His Peace and His Favor for more Heaven on earth for ourselves, the people we love and this Nation Trusting in Jesus. For all Nations coming where Jesus Shines His Love. 1 John 3 ~ See what kind of Love the Father has Given to us

1 John 3

3 See what kind of love the Father has given to us,
that we should be called children of God;
and so we are.

The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

2 Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be - has not yet appeared;
but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.

3 And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.

4 Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. 5 You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. 6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him.

7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning.

The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God.

10 By this, it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.

11 For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 12 We should not be like Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil and his brother's righteous. 13 Do not be surprised, brothers, that the world hates you. 14 We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers.

Whoever does not love abides in death. 15 Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

16 By this, we know love,
that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. 17 But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?

18 Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

19 By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him; 20 for whenever our heart condemns us,

God is greater than our heart,
and he knows everything.

21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; 22 and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.

23 And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us.

24 Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.

Abram's faith, helps us understand how God can use an imperfect man like Abram to bring about his good purposes. Abram is counted as “righteous,” not because he is worthy (he clearly is not) but because he has faith in God who declares him worthy.

How are we going to obtain God and be who He sees us to be?
Creator of All Things, Ancient of Days, Shepherd and Captain of our Souls. Father of the Righteous in Jesus Christ. Father of All. He has named the Heavens. The Heavenly Host are His.

We connect with God only because our Father lives to Love and have Mercy.
Father God bends far down to hear our souls connect to heart and mind. With belief and sincerity - God is going to be part of us. And when we believe God - He is going to help us continue each day to have a meaningful life of Joy. To take what is difficult and make Love. To give mercy and dignity to those around us.

Consider what we know of each day of Jesus.

Jesus spoke of working a vineyard. Constant effort. Beauty. Precision. Fragile. Enduring. Practical in life. Rise from day to day practical to Faith.

Jesus could hear the willingness of His Father, and our Father, each day and Jesus traveled to do the Will of God.

Jesus tells us when we have seen Jesus, we have seen the Father.

If we do not hear the willingness of God and yet we are willing, God will do the impossible to make the willingness of Father God's Love come to us. Jesus went all over in the Willingness of God. And a few times Jesus told people to do things like go to the Pool of Siloam (Sent) (we want to be sent!) and stay out of the Village. Sounds like advice we'd all like to have from time to time. And when we didn't hear - God is going to sweep all things together for Good. As long as we Believe Him. Looking to see what is Good in Life.

We can't walk the same path as Father God of All the Universe Creation.
God is Amazing and Astonishing. And Jesus demonstrated this path-walking, very thing, with Paul, reaching down immediately to help Paul walk securely with Jesus.

God brought clouds (maybe like this one) to the First Temple of God. God will come to us as well.

Jesus is recorded as bringing the boat immediately to shore in John 4. God brings the Path. The Way, the Truth and the Life.

When we Believe God is at work - we have given God the motivation and Joy to be at Work. God Himself commended His Beloved in the Great Chapter of Hebrews 11.

Because

Hebrews 11:6
Without faith it is impossible to please God,

because anyone who comes to him must believe that He exists
and that he rewards
those who earnestly seek him.

Abba,

We love to remember Jesus as Grace upon Grace. From His fullness, we have received.

Mark 9:23-24
23“If You can?” echoed Jesus. “All things are possible to him who believes!”

24 Immediately the boy’s father cried out, “I do believe; help my unbelief!”

We believe in Your Word's the prayer of a righteous man availeth much. We pray for those who have asked us to pray for them, body, mind and soul.

 Praying with expectation.

Blessing Father God for this month - Family arriving from far, far away and their coming travels to be safe. Saying thank You for Good News arriving by mail and touching the heart and soul.

Asking blessings on the elderly for fortitude, health and clarity.

Seeing the new season of summer with Profound Joy.

God will bless us for far away prayers like praying for the nation and nations.

Knowing we asked God to bring Truth to the news, more Good News and balance. And Thank Him we have received. For refusing to be discouraged.

God has room to show He is God and God is not worried.  Whew.

Blessing Abba for covering us in the Name of Jesus as we ask more Heaven on earth.

Blessings upon the Merciful. Thank You.

Mark 8:38b - Mark 9:1 ~ See the Kingdom of God

Mark 8:38b - Mark 9:1

When he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

9 And he said to them, “Truly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God after it has come with power.”

Truly, truly, truly the 'a' part of Mark 8:38b is

37 For what can a man give in return for his soul?

38 For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

And what could represent John better for the loyalty of John's Love for Jesus on Good Friday?

I'm not sure any of us know how the blasted Easter Bunny came to be part of the Easter Glamour - if we were to guess - we might have to say John was the Energizer Bunny. It truly would be glorious to find there was a good reason for a Bunny. John kept going.

Ask and you will receive. The Holy Spirit has carried John.

John was never ashamed of Jesus and what the Disciples called the Word of Life. Jesus was one to forgive John for asking with James and their mother - to sit at Jesus' Eternal Right Side.

God and His Plans.
It would make sense the Keys to the Kingdom and Rock - would write all of the  New Testament instead of  1 Peter following James with 5 Chapters and 2 Peter following again with 3 Chapters. How did Paul even arrive late to the events of Easter?

And yet as the Nicene Council, complete with the Bishops risking lives to travel to convene - these Good Men of God placed the Brother of Jesus Christ - James - in front of Peter. And James didn't show up in the Gospels or even Good Friday - James came to Acts 1. When the sorrow of Jesus being truly dead and alive and gone lead to daily prayer together. James in true Christian perspective, is placed in front of "Peter".

Acts 1 is the True State of Christians. To gather, to pray, to love, to heal, to rejoice, to honor Jesus Christ. Seeing the order of the Books of God - is a Blessing.

God and His Plans.
John showed up to give all his life's blood to the angry Centurians on Good Friday. Pilate was known well indeed to murder Jews even during Passover. Mary and the women with them on Good Friday. The women were in plenty of danger given Pilate's history and orders on murdering Jews.

"Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joses, his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clophas (or Cleophas), and the mother of Zebedee's sons."

You and I realize in the Corporate World, in baseball, in football, in entertaining - the one who shows up at the zero hour is going to be vastly promoted. So John is now going to be the Rock of the Church! Sure.

God and His Plans.
No. John is not going to be the Rock. Jesus has Spoken. Jesus is the Word of God Made Manifest.

You and I will not sit in the Vatican seat. We will not write Books of The Bible considered by The Council of Nicea. What would John receive for being someone Jesus could place His own Eyes on that Good Friday?

John.

Imagine what John has seen. John has held the Eyes of Jesus that day.

And John's Reward? 63 years later - in that Living Room - John was sitting in Jesus "Living" Room.
The Reward is far from adequate. The Reward is Eternal. The Reward is Love.

God and His Plans.

John 1:4
In Him was life, and that life was the light of men.

1 John 1:1
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched--this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

39 Times John wrote of Love. 21 Chapters in John's Gospel.
John saw the majority of the miracles including "He Healed them all."

John 3:35
The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand

1 John 2:5
Whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him:

1 John 2:10
Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling.

The Book of James is placed before Peter. I love this.
Jude, Brother of Jesus Christ, arrives before John's Holy Spirit inspired The Book of Revelation. Both Peter and John's Books sit with James and Jude. Brothers.

Now Remember John's Reward:

1 John 3:1
See what kind of love the Father has given to us,
that we should be called children of God; and so we are.

The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

1 John 3:10
By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.

1 John 3:11
For this is the message
that you
have heard from the beginning,
that we should love one another

2 John 1:3
Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us,
from God the Father
and from Jesus Christ the Father's Son,
in truth and love.

Hebrews 11:1-3 ~ Faith is the assurance

Patmos, Home of John, Disciple of Jesus. Due to exile as a result of anti-Christian persecution under the Roman emperor Domitian.

Credible for several reasons.

The Scriptures tell us:

John lives on Patmos. Revelation 1:9.

According to Tertullian (in The Prescription of Heretics) John was banished after being plunged in boiling oil in Rome and suffering nothing. Written - all in the audience of Colosseum were converted to Christianity upon witnessing this miracle. This event would be late 1st century, during Emperor Domitian.

Banishment was a common punishment for being a threat to Roman political power and order. Three of the islands in the Sporades were places where political offenders were banished. (Pliny, Natural History 4.69–70; Tacitus, Annals 4.30)

Hebrews 11:1-3

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

2 For by it the people of old received their commendation.

3 By faith we understand
that the universe was created by the Word of God,
so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.

John, the Disciple of Jesus has witnessed so much. And because of the Mercy, Grace and Acts of God John has continued. Very far.

Jesus is our Victory. Jesus Overcomes. With Jesus we overcome.

1 John 5:4-5
For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

1 John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Romans 8:37
In all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

1 John 3:24
God abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.

Abba, Holy Father

Let Your Willing Blessings Flow. To be Victorious in Jesus Christ.

Let us live daily the expectation of more Heaven on earth. Blessing our lives daily, the lives of our Loved ones. Filling the Nation trusting in You with Faith, Hope and Love. Pouring Your Blessing on the Nations Looking to the Light of Jesus Christ.

The assurance of the prayers of the faithful the world over filling Your Good Creation with Blessings.

Our Jesus, in His Name. Amen.
