John 3:16-36 ~ His Seal

Seal of Isaiah

John 3:16-36

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”

John the Baptist Exalts Christ
22 After this Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean countryside, and he remained there with them and was baptizing. 23 John also was baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because water was plentiful there, and people were coming and being baptized 24 (for John had not yet been put in prison).

25 Now a discussion arose between some of John's disciples and a Jew over purification. 26 And they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you bore witness—look, he is baptizing, and all are going to him.” 27 John answered, “A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven. 28 You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, ‘I am not the Christ, but I have been sent before him.’ 29 The one who has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly at the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is now complete. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease.”

31 He who comes from above is above all. He who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. He who comes from heaven is above all. 32 He bears witness to what he has seen and heard, yet no one receives his testimony. 33 Whoever receives his testimony sets his seal to this, that God is true. 34 For he whom God has sent utters the words of God, for he gives the Spirit without measure. 35 The Father loves the Son and has given all things into his hand. 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

The Seal of Isaiah was found recently, it's the first archaeological proof Isaiah lived. And has a thumb print on the seal, which would make sense is Isaiah's. Hezekiah did so well he almost surpassed Solomon. His Seal's are plentiful from Egypt to Assyria.

How Plentiful is the Seal of Jesus Christ?
God wants to Save the World. His Seal is Plentiful.

We Rejoice in the Word of God. We are Sealed in Jesus Christ.

Abba,

We thank You, Your Mercies renew every day. Help us to never decrease and to take the Truth of Your Mercy every day.

We pray for Elliott, who has kept his hair during the stem cell transfer. And has not felt too badly, which is a surprise. We pray for Elliott's continued healing, sealed in the Word of Jesus. Jesus speak the Word as You did for the Centurion. We want to stay in God's Purpose and be sealed in Your Word. Know the Scripture, know the Power of God.

You have kept us through the Storms. We are sheltered by Your Word and You have gathered us as a Chick is Gathered to the mother. Matthew 23:37. Thank You for those we Love. Thank You for Your Love. You are our refuge forever.

Thank You for the people I was blessed to talk with today.

May the Lord God help us to live in Peace, Joy and Love. Seeking the Kingdom of Heaven. Thank You for so many answered prayers and Your Promises. Help us to live and rejoice being sealed in Jesus Christ. Amen.

Acts 7:48-50 ~ the place of His rest

We have talked about God's purpose for us in life being the first verses of John 14.

We are invited to God's House - why wouldn't God send us circumstances to show what foundation we built upon and where we built to eternity.

We have talked about the Exodus being God's care for the quality of life available.

Is God interested in Sustained Happiness?

We are always seeking the Balance.

God is telling us to build - God is telling us to risk.

In fact, God tells us after we build on the Rock of Christ that the Holy Spirit comes into Mose's life as fire. And also to the Disciples of Jesus Christ. Hebrews, Paul with the Holy Spirit, tells us our God is a consuming fire.

And with this fire, we wonder if we have done what pleases God, the Almighty. If we are humble as we consider the Word of God:

Acts 7:48-50

48 Yet the Most High does not dwell in houses made by hands, as the prophet says,

49 “‘Heaven is my throne,
and the earth is my footstool.
What kind of house will you build for me, says the Lord,
or what is the place of my rest?
50 Did not my hand make all these things?’

We do not Give God happiness to buy His Joy. Abraham believed God and God considered him righteous. Abraham is a prime example. He went where God asked Him to Go. Abraham argued to God the Almighty for Mercy for others.

David believed God's major component is Love and Mercy.

And the Scriptures support the Scriptures. Abraham went to lengths to move where God told him. David went to lengths to have the anointing of God. Moses? What does he tell us of the Blessings of God? Actually, Moses travels far to tell of the Blessings of God and these are hidden in all the Books we say are boring. Filled with problems we don't face. Filled with the Law. The Truth is the Blessings of God are surrounded by works of faith in every day life.

Did they fail? Yes, all of the people of God have failed. All of them. And in belief rise in God again. We all deserve the judgment of God and we all have His Grace in faith.

Why would God surround the Blessings of God with the Law we cannot uphold? Why would God place the Blessings of God surrounded with boring rules. It's probably an analogy. We can't!!! Why Try???

The Grace of Jesus on Easter morning saying, "Your Father and mine." What Grace of a man flogged, beaten, mocked, giving HIS Life and giving us Grace. Worth the effort of try for the Goodness of God to us. He sees us. He wants us.

And one more case for why try? If you had to pick some of the horrors to avoid of the Pentateuch to come home and live with you, you'd probably pick to try for God. God has a clue.

Why did God our Father surround the absolute deepest and specific Blessings of Father God around 5 Books becoming increasingly difficult to read. The accusation is they are tedious and boring. An analogy of Life. The thinking we do at traffic lights is our life. What we think of as we begin the day. Think in the shower. The chores we repeat. Caution: Life is Happening.

We lay down our lives to have life. We give this life to others. No greater Love is to lay down our lives for one another.

And in this is tucked ... Jabez. The passion of the 1990s. Blessed by being more noble. Tucked into each day is the amazement of the Blessings of God. Keep trudging. Jabez had sustained happiness.

Who else has sustained happiness? Recently I had the privilege of praying over prayers offered to God. I wept for the Graciousness of the Prayers. The real prayers said, "I know Jesus. I am ok. I have people I love who don't know Jesus. Who live outside of His Grace and have tremendous difficulties." Just like Abraham. Just like David. Mercy for others.

Look at that Happiness and Consuming Fire photos match. Hmmm.

The Consuming Fire of God does not consume. Not Moses. Not the Bush. Not the Disciples. Jesus told us His yoke is easy. Many very devote Christians say to themselves, "What did I do?" St. Augustine answered. We have regular lives and if we intensely love the few who are interested in us - we have done the call of Jesus. When we offer hope to the people we have been given by God in our lives - we have done well. God is God.

How will we please God? We believe Father God.

We believe, we believe, we believe God has established all this life -- Jesus Proclaims, Lives, Tells our hearts - God is for you!!! GOD LOVES YOU.  1 Peter 1 tells us God's plan is so very precious to you, Angels longed to read of this plan for a very, very long time.

Abba,

Our Abba, we pray with Jesus - to increase the Holy Spirit.

Your throne, O God, is forever and ever,
the scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.

You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;

God, your God, has anointed you
with the oil of gladness beyond your companions.”

You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning,

The heavens are the work of your hands;
they will perish, but You remain;

And in Jesus Christ - our years will have no end.

Jesus upholds the universe by the word of Your Power.

We pray for our Loved ones, our cares to matter to you,
We pray for the people You have given us.
Blessing us to delight in what You've given
Jesus Bless our Communities, neighborhoods, Church, State, Nation.

Jesus  His Glory and His Love.
In Jesus we pray, Amen.

John 14 ~ In my Father's house are many rooms

John 14

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.

2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.”

5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?”

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”

8 Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.”

9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.

12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.
13 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

18 “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. 21 Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.”

22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?”

23 Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word,
and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me.

25 “These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you.
26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. 28 You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

29 And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe. 30 I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on me, 31 but I do as the Father has commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the Father.

Rise, let us go from here.

Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.

My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.

Isaiah 40:1-8

Comfort, comfort my people, says your God.
2 Speak tenderly to Jerusalem,
and cry to her
that her warfare is ended,
that her iniquity is pardoned,
that she has received from the Lord's hand
double for all her sins.

3 A voice cries:
“In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord;
make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

4 Every valley shall be lifted up,
and every mountain and hill be made low;
the uneven ground shall become level,
and the rough places a plain.

5 And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed,
and all flesh shall see it together,
for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

6 A voice says, “Cry!”
And I said, “What shall I cry?”
All flesh is grass,
and all its beauty is like the flower of the field.
7 The grass withers, the flower fades
when the breath of the Lord blows on it;
surely the people are grass.
8 The grass withers, the flower fades,
but the word of our God will stand forever.

Jeremiah 31:10
Hear, O nations, the word of the LORD, and proclaim it in distant coastlands, saying: "The One who scattered Israel will gather them and keep them as a shepherd guards his flock.

Isaiah 51:12
I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mortal man, or a son of man who withers like grass?

Isaiah 49:13
Shout for joy, O heavens; rejoice, O earth; break into joyful song, O mountains! For the LORD has comforted His people, and He will have compassion on His afflicted ones.

Isaiah 51:3
For the LORD will comfort Zion and look with compassion on all her ruins; He will make her wilderness like Eden and her desert like the garden of the LORD. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and melodious song.

2 Corinthians 1:4
Jesus comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

We are going from earth's worn and tired - to the Kingdom,
Power and Glory of God our Father.

God is going to give us glimpses.

We have to look through the darkened mirror and find what God is bringing us.

Abba,

Jesus, show us the Father. Do not be worried. God prepares a place for us.

You will show us a way to God. Jesus is sure He explains carefully and with Love and tenderness, a way to God's Love.

The Works of God lead us to His Kingdom, His Love, His Power and His Glory for us. Jesus has revealed God to us.

Jesus does not show us God and leave us. Jesus never leaves us. He creates a Place for Agape to Live and Love and Dwell. Jesus glorifies God to show us God's Love.

Whatever Jesus would Give us is established in God saying His Word. We will reverence God's Law and please God doing His Purpose. God's Peace, Love and Joy will dwell in us. God is interweaving for the Goodness of His Love and Purpose.

God will not leave us orphans, He will be manifest to us. His Home and His Place will arrive.

Jesus tells us in advance, Jesus is God's Love, to keep us in comfort and our hearts without worry.

May Your Willing Blessings renew us daily and we will rise up in Your Mercy each day and not forget our truths. May we finish this life well. And have Your Willing Blessings pour upon us. Upon the people we Love. The Nation, the Nations trusting in Jesus, the faithful, the generations unborn.

We ask Your Willing Blessings on this New Year. We pray for Dallas in distress. For Australia, for the workers of the fire to be protected. For all fire and all harm to cease. For God to create a path of Peace, Joy and Love. For the people of Puerto Rico to have the Comfort God will give to heal all.

And the saints of God, the Children of God are blessed to pray together all day, all night, all seasons over and in God's Good Creation for the Will of God to bring more Heaven to earth. Fulfilling the Word of God Jesus is. Love Forever. Amen.

Zechariah 8:4-8 ~ the streets of the city

Zechariah 8:4-8

4 Thus says the Lord of hosts: Old men and old women shall again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with staff in hand because of great age. 5 And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.

6 Thus says the Lord of hosts: If it is marvelous in the sight of the remnant of this people in those days, should it also be marvelous in my sight, declares the Lord of hosts? 7 Thus says the Lord of hosts: Behold, I will save my people from the east country and from the west country, 8 and I will bring them to dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. And they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in faithfulness and in righteousness.”

In October, Dallas had a series of tornadoes. 16 miles. They skipped up and down. Shopping Centers were destroyed and fences put up. Part of our Extended Family moved to temporary lodgings. My mother's house was skipped. Her neighborhood was not skipped, looking like the photos after World War II. Large Ponds used to be sheltered by Huge Live Oaks and happy houses. Now all are flattened, looking like Hurricane Katrina Live Oaks. A very few houses have been pulled down. Our family says the insurance calls and asks if the house has an intact water heater, and you are supposed to peer into the damage and report back.

Tulsi Gabbard was on The Joe Rogan Experience reporting the Army says it takes 7 years to find out what a Terrorist Cell is and to overcome. Tulsi reports Lebanon has an entire Al Qaeda holding and this isn't being stopped. Perhaps it will. The Congress says this is so complex, that perhaps this is why not all things are solved quickly.

Emotions work like that. Don't they? This Christmas, my mother's Alzheimer is far worse.

I didn't realize she didn't pay last year's property tax, when I asked she told me a friend had driven her downtown to pay this. This was not quite as it was. The City and Dallas County was kind enough to just, gently, let this wait. Today, it's paid.

Over Christmas, my mother's Doctor requested a DNR form. I put it off to not upset everyone. Then my sister-in-law and niece arrived to visit Mother and my mother couldn't recall who had been there  - to say their names that day. The Doctor saw my mother take over 20 minutes to get from the waiting room to the office to see the Doctor. It was explained to me, in medical detail, about the harshness of resuscitation on the elderly.

We went to Dallas yesterday. Mother couldn't figure out how to put funds in her Checking Account. She failed to recognize her cell phone, answer it or be able to talk on the phone. She wasn't sure what I was saying, before she put the phone down and walked away, but told me I had called her and this is her name. We spent an hour and a half at the bank my mother has banked in for 40 years. North Dallas Bank still had fields around it when Mother started banking there. Her bank president knows her and opens the door. Finally to be kind, we tell him this will take a long time and we will get the door. Robeina has gone out of her way for my Mother for 20 years. One day at Home Depot, Home Depot was called to shred her card. Robeina fixed it. Robeina has been just simply an angel to my mother for a long time. Jesus Bless Robeina and her family, please. And as we fixed Mother's checking account, Robeina cried tears

Not me. I got through the hour and a half meeting, but had to confess I needed to hear the directions again several times. We got to the car and my mother announced her own mother, my Grandmother Anita, was still living. This was about the most she had said all day. Mother is Blessed, she has Edith, her companion living with her. Edith is so very patient with the walker, physical therapy, cooking and caring for my mom. Edith asked her two or three times to see if Mother would come back to today. I looked at my mom and said, "You're exactly right, Grandmother Anita Lives."

We had a hugely busy day yesterday. Seeing in clear light what the Tornado had brought. It would be a long time before life was as pretty.

We had a busy day today. And after all the fuss had gone past, I took the time to really cry for the first time in a long time - my mother is going to die. Twenty years of parenting would be gone. And 30 years of pre-pre-pre Alzheimer disease had been present. I'd seen at Mother's house crosses we had known her to make and display. A really beautiful Christmas flower arrangement she did with Greenery, Jonquils and red berries. Such a talent. Under the Garden Club art of the entirely wild botanical arrangement.

Mother has been harsh for a long time. Especially on those she loved.
Her best friends and I have examined verbal histories. Her affections were part of the past. Her grandchildren won't know the mother I knew. And the words and gestures she used were way over the top - and more - for a year and a half. Not in her right mind. Long time friends left to remember her as she was. You can't blame them even a little. Now, suddenly, she is quiet and there is a vast amount of relief in that. This visit I was able to hug her, kiss her and tell her I love her without an atrocity.

Mother's generation learned to smoke 3 packs a day at age 16. Age 60 - she quit. The Martini to have to greet the husband. Pregnancies didn't exclude alcohol. Tranquilizers have been part of the glam years since Elvis. Antidepressants daily for 4 generations. All perfectly safe...

There is a Minister, a long time friend told me about, he lives on the Southern East Coast and his prayer request is always, "Let me go far, Lord, in this life and let me finish well." I learned after I was a Guardian to my first cousin once removed, 23 strokes will vastly change a person. Catholics reportedly have the best passing to the next life, every Sunday they pray for their today and their time to pass. Great Idea.

So today, the relief of less Alzheimer atrocity faded. And the tears poured out. The doorbell rang, the tears didn't stop, but I was told I'd be prayed for and hugged. God is so good. Life will continue. New generations will arrive. Summer days to make crosses and flower arrangements will continue. Grandmother Anita will welcome my mother.

My father, Daddy, dreamed at least 80 times he would be the one sent by Jesus to collect Mother to Heaven. His dream has proven to be correct in the way Isaiah told about the birth of Jesus. And obscure parts of the dream unfolded like a rose.

Heaven is for real.

Abba,

The Lord bless us and keep us. Shine Your Face upon us. We thank You for Your Graciousness.

In Jesus Christ we will see His Mercies. For my mother, for all who call on Jesus. We will go far and finish well. This we Believe.

Forever. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
