1 Chronicles 10:12-14 ~ The Kingdom

Original Post October 17, 2020

Cave in the area, matching the description of David's mercy upon Saul. Mercy.

1 Chronicles 10:12-14

And they buried their (Saul and his sons) bones under the oak in Jabesh and fasted seven days.

13 So Saul died for his breach of faith. He broke faith with the Lord in that he did not keep the command of the Lord, and also consulted a medium, seeking guidance. 14 He did not seek guidance from the Lord.

Therefore the Lord put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.

Samuel knew this day would arrive.
And so did David and David's family.
The Priests of Israel believe this, too, and Saul killed priests feeding David. Saul did many horrible things. David did flee and the people surrounding David were not known as godly men of goodness and hope, but the dissatisfied and corrupt. As they were. Mercenaries. David was plunged into mercenary work and dealt with kidnappers and trying to survive the corrupt people who followed him.  David did not attack Israel. And did odd, yet interesting things, like acting crazy, to avoid trouble.

Why was David chosen of God? Surely, the circumstances were not the best.

Daily David chose the work he believed God had given him. David was himself before God. God knew David would do all he could for God. We can be sure doing mercenary work, David lived faith by faith and not sight. Walking by faith.

These are the circumstances of this year.
We know this. We have seen hard choices and observe from our families and around us change has happened. The Histories in the Bible tell us of upheavals. Jesus knew upheavals. When the way is rocky, we could look around us and do what others say and do.

Strength isn't compromise. Strength is believing trouble leaves and God is Good.
Hope, Faith and Love. The Greatest of these is Love. Strength is believing with faith, trouble will depart. Even when we say I believe and Jesus helps us believe just a little bit more. We wonder. We will learn new ways to endure and become stronger.  Fear is an emotion. Even the disciples had fear. Fear isn't something God finds to be part of the aroma of faith and prayer. Fear is Jesus saying He would hold us in His pinions. Under His Wing.

The United States has polls. We aren't sure we believe the Polls.
This is good. We are required to look at Life Forever ourselves. We are told distinct things about Faith in America. We are increasing in faith. More people change denominations and as they do the Bible Believing Churches grow. The old denominations going with the flow, don't grow. The denominations of lack of Great Hope and Love don't prosper well. However, we have seen even the Churches struggle during the Pandemic as families feed themselves. We must not look to just today, the Pandemic, to see what we actually know is True.  We can tell the Church will struggle and thrive and eventually do well with us all.

God is Love. Trouble is what Life has.
As we love Jesus, ourselves, our families, our Churches, our communities and believe the year 2020 will have a purpose seen through with Law, Love and Faith. When we see Moderation, we see hope. When we listen to the doom and gloom without Faith, we have sadness.

This year has so many not discussed difficulties and exaggerated problems we worry.
Acknowledge we all have some Covid brain even if we don't have the Virus. It isn't a year for hugely clear thinking. We will put our sails to the wind and Trust God to be the Daily Living Bread.

Probably Israel had fear during Saul and the years he was obviously not in steadfast abilities. And God did see them through. Some people worry far more than they show. We have seen real estate signs. Employment signs. Signs of people in the streets. Electoral signs. God is the Way, Truth and Life. So many people have loved. Loved their children. Loved their families. Loved their spouse. Loved their history and heritage. Loved the strength of the Nation.  Believe in the Law. Believe in their Leader. God is going to see us through. Good people are speaking up. The job market is still rising. https://bongino.com/weekly-jobless-claims-hit-lowest-level-since-march

The knowledge we saw at the beginning of the Virus, we learn to employ the avalanche of information with increasing skill. We have been well led. The Nations have peace and peace in the Middle East. The Medical Communities around the world have shared knowledge and equipment.

Life is more than it seems. Each day to rest at night saying I pleased God. I pleased Love. In Grace, we try again tomorrow. We will be adjusting, adapting, believing in God we Trust. I Believe the Victory will be God's. We have learned. We have been well led. Life has been honored and upheld. From the wee children to the elderly. Our prayers for all of us.

Psalm 30

Joy Comes with the Morning
A Psalm of David. A song at the dedication of the Temple.

I will extol you, O Lord, for you have drawn me up
and have not let my foes rejoice over me.
2 O Lord my God, I cried to you for help,
    and you have healed me.
3 O Lord, you have brought up my soul from Sheol;
you restored me to life from among those who go down to the pit.

4 Sing praises to the Lord, O you his saints,
and give thanks to his holy name.
5 For his anger is but for a moment,
and his favor is for a lifetime.

Weeping may tarry for the night,
but joy comes with the morning.

6 As for me, I said in my prosperity,
    “I shall never be moved.”
7 By your favor, O Lord,
    you made my mountain stand strong;

When you hid your face;
    I was dismayed.
8 To you, O Lord, I cry,
and to the Lord I plead for mercy:

9 “What profit is there in my death,
if I go down to the pit?
Will the dust praise you?
Will it tell of your faithfulness?
10 Hear, O Lord, and be merciful to me!
    O Lord, be my helper!”

11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
    you have loosed my sackcloth
    and clothed me with gladness,
12 that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!

John 18:15-18 ~ at the door

John 18:15-18

15 Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple.

Since that disciple was known to the high priest, he entered with Jesus into the courtyard of the high priest, 16 but Peter stood outside at the door.

The guards were taking Jesus from the Jerusalem Mount of Olives Garden to the Courtyard of the High Priest. The Palace of Caiaphas, identified by Josephus, next door the Hasmonean Palace in Jerusalem.

Herod's Palace, is marked. Then the unmarked Caiaphas Palace. Then the marked Hasmonean Palace. Continue west on the Map to the Mount of Olives. This is the journey of these Scripture Verses.

The Double Triangle Towers are the Hasmonean Palace.

The Hasmonean Palace was built by the kings of the Hasmonean race, Herod's father in laws. The Hasmonean ancestors were also high priests before Herod, and they called it the Tower, in which were reposited the vestments of the high priest, which the high priest only put on at the time when he was to offer sacrifice." Herod was probably not comfortable there, for obvious reasons, and vastly wanted to overshadow his past. Although, Herod's DNA would be linked to the Ptolemy of Egypt. However, it is the Hasmonean Culture bringing us freedom from Romans sacrificing to Zeus in God's Temple. And the Hasmoneans were the leaders to bring us Hanukkah miracles remembered today.

Josephus' description is quite precise: "Over the gallery, at the passage to the upper city, where the bridge joined the Temple to the gallery." It is quite possible, therefore, to locate the approximate position of the palace, in front of the Temple slightly north of the modern Jewish Quarter

Another one of Herod's 15 Palaces.

Palace of Caiaphas, both lower and upper images

Recreation of the Courtyard of Caiaphas' Courtyard

Peter stood outside the door.

4 Photos of the Synagogue at Capernaum

Tradition: Synagogue of Capernaum Pillar bearing the name of Sons of Thunder, John and James.
John's brother, James was the first marked by the Jerusalem officials to be martyred.

We could hazard a guess, James was probably the most likely to have been recognized as a son who had a father of generous abilities toward's God's Temple. Recognized to the Temple authorities. This is where Father God has put a path in archaeology, so, we would probably guess James, brother of John, son of Thunder, Zebedee.

Door of Caiaphas' Palace, stood Peter.

So the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to the servant girl who kept watch at the door, and brought Peter in

17 The servant girl at the door said to Peter, “You also are not one of this man's disciples, are you?”

He said, “I am not.”

18 Now the servants and officers had made a charcoal fire, because it was cold, and they were standing and warming themselves. Peter also was with them, standing and warming himself.

Where were you when they Crucified My Lord.  These Disciples were probably trembling. It would be Justifiable to say, Peter is lost forever at the Door of Caiaphas.

God tells us He wants to save the world in Jesus Christ.

Where would Father God place Peter for this?

Peter holds the Keys to Heaven. Peter is in charge of the 12 Gates of Heaven. And when we say One Large Pearl at each Gate, we know in our heart, God Himself is fully capable to make 12 Giant Pearls. Like the 12 Sons of Jacob. And yet, we can picture in our souls the Light of Heaven Shines forth like a Pearl.

Peter was not lost at the Gate.

You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.

Jesus the Gate.

John 8:32
And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

Isaiah 40:8
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of Our God will stand forever.

Isaiah 49:11
I will turn all my mountains into roads,
and My High Ways will be raised up.

Luke 19:40
He replied, “If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!”

Song of Solomon 2:1
I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys.

Matthew 4:18
As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee,
He saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew.
They were casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.

Matthew 4:20
And at once they left their nets and followed Him.

Isaiah 49:6
He says: "It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob
and bring back those of Israel I have kept.
I will also make you a light for the Gentiles,
that My salvation may reach to the ends of the earth."

Matthew 24:34
Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have happened.
35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will never pass away.
No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,
but only the Father.

Isaiah 49:1
Listen to me, you islands; hear this, you distant nations:
Before I was born the LORD called me;
from my birth he has made mention of my name.

Revelation 22:1
Then the angel showed me the river of life-giving water,
shining like crystal,
flowing from the throne of God and the Lamb

Matthew 7:13-14
Enter through the narrow gate.

John 10:9
I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved,
and will go in and out and find pasture.

Matthew 4:19 "
“Come, follow Me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.”

Daniel 4:3
How great are His signs, and how mighty His wonders!
His kingdom is an eternal kingdom

Isaiah 49:8
This is what the LORD says: "In the time of my favor I will answer you,
and in the day of salvation I will help you;
I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people,
to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances"

Isaiah 49:10
They will neither hunger nor thirst, nor will the desert heat or the sun beat down on them.
He who has compassion on them will guide them and lead them beside springs of water.

Isaiah 49:21
"Then you will say in your heart, "Who bore me these? I was bereaved and barren;
I was exiled and rejected. Who brought these up? I was left all alone,
but these
– where have they come from?""

Isaiah 35:8
And there will be a highway called the Way of Holiness.
The unclean will not travel it, only those who walk in that Way

Isaiah 40:4
Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill made low;
the uneven ground will become smooth, and the rugged land a plain.

Isaiah 40:3,4
The voice of him that cries in the wilderness,
Prepare the way of the LORD,
make straight in the desert a highway for our God!

Isaiah 52:12
For you will not leave in a hurry nor flee in haste,
for the LORD goes before you, and the God of Israel is your rear guard.

Psalm 96:13
Let all creation rejoice before the LORD, for he comes,
he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples
in His faithfulness.

Abba, Father God,

A friend prayed today, "Good Luck Today, America."

Scots would say, "We keen."

Moses, Psalm 90, prayed for Blessing, Joy and Happiness:

Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Relent, Lord! How long will it be? Have compassion on your servants.

Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.

15 Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen trouble.

16 May your deeds be shown to your servants,
 Your splendor to their children.

 May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us;
establish the work of our hands for us
— yes, establish the work of our hands.

We ask for these Blessings and the Joy of seeking You first.
In Seeking You first, we know Heaven on earth. And Your Blessings
are Abundant and Life affirming and Life changing.
We are new every day as Your Mercies renew daily.

God Bless us all to
Recover from Covid
and have Your Willing Word of Healing.
Upon us all. And for Elliott healed of cancer and his family to be healed
from their worries.

We pray reaching to Your Kingdom, into Your Living Room, Father, where Living is a poignant Word.

We join with a Great Cloud of Witnesses, knowing what is unseen is Eternal.
Help us to see more Heaven, be more Heaven
and Blessings for the people we Love and the people You have given us.
Bless those who Bless us
and be all to us
to bridge any gap.

Bring Jesus to the ones we Love.
Bless us.

We ask for Love, Peace, Joy and our Freedoms.
We want to Live in Truth.
And have the Freedoms, You have given us.

Thank You, Father,
in the Highest Name of Jesus.
You hear and know all our cares.
You Care for me.
You Care for us.
Amen in Jesus Christ

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
