Exodus 16:10 ~ The Glory of the Lord

Exodus 16:10

Behold, the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud.

In Texas, we have had Snowvid and seen sights like the Brazos River covering over with ice. Astonishing.

And also in Texas, we have been having red skies in harmonious pink and blue sunsets. Sailors delight, red at night. Smooth sailing. Even Jesus commented on the phrase. And said we don't always know our direction.

We have lived a helluva theeng.

Behold, the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud.

11 And the Lord said to Moses, 12 “I have heard the grumbling of the people of Israel. Say to them, ‘At twilight you shall eat meat, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread. Then you shall know that I am the Lord your God.’”

13 In the evening quail came up and covered the camp,
and in the morning dew
lay around the camp.

And when the dew had gone up, there was on the face of the wilderness a fine, flake-like thing, fine as frost on the ground. 15 When the people of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was.

And Moses said to them, “It is the bread that the Lord has given you to eat. 16 This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Gather of it, each one of you, as much as he can eat. You shall each take an omer, according to the number of the persons that each of you has in his tent.’”

17 And the people of Israel did so. They gathered, some more, some less. 18 But when they measured it with an omer, whoever gathered much had nothing left over, and whoever gathered little had no lack. Each of them gathered as much as he could eat.

19 And Moses said to them, “Let no one leave any of it over till the morning.” 20 But they did not listen to Moses. Some left part of it till the morning, and it bred worms and stank. And Moses was angry with them. 21 Morning by morning they gathered it, each as much as he could eat; but when the sun grew hot, it melted.

22 On the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers each. And when all the leaders of the congregation came and told Moses,

23 he said to them, “This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Tomorrow is a day of solemn rest, a holy Sabbath to the Lord; bake what you will bake and boil what you will boil, and all that is left overlay aside to be kept till the morning.’” 24 So they laid it aside till the morning, as Moses commanded them, and it did not stink, and there were no worms in it.

25 Moses said, “Eat it today, for today is a Sabbath to the Lord; today you will not find it in the field. 26 Six days you shall gather it, but on the seventh day, which is a Sabbath, there will be none.”

27 On the seventh day some of the people went out to gather, but they found none

31 Now the house of Israel called its name manna.
It was like coriander seed, white, and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey. 32 Moses said, “This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Let an omer of it be kept throughout your generations, so that they may see the bread with which I fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you out of the land of Egypt.’” 33 And Moses said to Aaron, “Take a jar, and put an omer of manna in it, and place it before the Lord to be kept throughout your generations.” 34 As the Lord commanded Moses, so Aaron placed it before the testimony to be kept. 35 The people of Israel ate the manna forty years, till they came to a habitable land. They ate the manna till they came to the border of the land of Canaan.

2020 and 2021 are Officially many things, but perhaps the most expressive phrase is from Star Trek:  "Damage Report."  And "Glory."

Have you had your Glory function working lately? Hmm.

Psalm 19 1

The heavens declare the glory of God
the skies proclaim the work of His Hands
Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge.

There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.

If God was going to send you
One, only One Postcard
which one of the following?

Tulsa, Oklahoma 2020

Los Angeles Fire of the West Coast on up to British Columbia

One thing we have utterly ignored...Maybe a few things.
We haven't commented on the sky last year and about the direction forward. We surely haven't forgotten. Yet nothing seems to really take in what we learned. We had clean skies which completely rivaled the miracle oil spill clean up in the Gulf of Mexico of 2010. Presto. It's Clean. Hello God!

If God was going to send you a postcard, which one would you hope for????

We saw the Christmas Star arrive this year for the first time since Galileo
And the Plagues of Naples. We have lived seeing Rome sing as they sang in the evenings of other Plagues. You didn't think you'd see medieval times repeat of the singing during the Bubonic Plague. And if you didn't weep a little, surely something changed to a degree. Your eyes and your soul have seen sights this planet hasn't seen in 500 years. Glory.

The Joy, beauty, fear. The resilience. The fragility of Life becomes the Joy and Strength of Life.

To a massive level of Pandemic, making Dunkirk look tame.
Sincerely, the entire world helped one another before we all began to melt into Pandemic brain. Signs of dreams for mankind before the historically typical violence and crazy anger erupted. Brain fry.

And again we heed how many prayers were answered.
The Violence seemed ready to scorch the earth.
                          And did not.

 Romans 5:3-4
Not only that, but we glory in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope

Glory is not an average word.
Glory involves Awe. Awe inspires us to think higher thoughts out of the daily salmon path. Glory draws us up to think of far away in time, in spirit and in miles. Glory pulls people together in Wonder. The Bible explains Glory reveals hearts. All different levels of suffering, coping and overcoming.  Glory often requires a good measure of Overcoming.

Climb Every Mountain.

Now if I give you my opinions next, you might agree. And maybe you didn't see this, but the White House is now not taking Comments on YouTube.

There is a profound reason to think about this.
We have a contribution to make here. We all do. If you go on the political pages of Facebook, you find people in agree, disagreement and fights. But there really is a unifying factor.

Take for example, the Facebook pages of New Mexico, where people are in a knock down over if the USPS leadership should be sacked. Fired. Run outta town. Over electric vehicles for basically a rural state with long USPS distances or huge trucks idling.  If you suddenly comprehend  Texas just had a grid melt down you realize, well, baby, people have legitimate concerns over massive leaps in technology. Texas had 70 people die in cold weather. California lost people in hot weather rural outages.

Ok, that's important. There is something Profound. Going On.
Facebook begins to get a long when people try to refrain from rudeness and speak up over hardship, loss, concern, logistics. When we aren't dictating our agenda but truly listening, the Facebook people begin to dabble in - genuine - peace.

One of the reasons is God sweeping what is broken into something better.
We don't know all about the Homeless situation in California, until you speak to a Californian. And realize this has a magnitude to it. The news may be broken discussing Agenda, but the local news reports a little better and people discuss what is what.

Hey, did you know the West Coast up to British Columbia has had a massive Six Year Drought? Right.  You probably didn't. Did you know 2019 saw a historic drought in Georgia and North Carolina and South Carolina? The smaller East Coast Drought ended Thank God.

Hey, did you know the Border of Mexico is in such a flurry the President of Mexico is in negotiations with the White House? Yeah, something is going on. If you look at any of the Facebook pages of the Senators and Legislatures of the "United States" you will find Immigration is being discussed frantically.

We have something and Profound to think about in our contribution to, "Give us this Day."
Our Portion in the Lord's Prayer. People are getting along when we state more of a question
than a demand to be heard. You can learn the news from supporting what is good and toning down what is pretty intense in Political rhetoric by reading the Facebook pages .. And the comments.

There is a worldwide reason to pay attention to your own contributions.

Many of the refugees are people without food, water, health, testing positive for Covid are wearing USA Political Shirts with names on them. They face a Border unable to assist them. It's pretty retched. And help isn't arriving like an Army Battalion.

Why? Why did this happen? We are not allowing and asking and demanding the News to be
more polite. Even today the White House and the Agendas are rolling past Human Need. Even today we could say, "Oh, the left or the right is so biased." Instead, we find both political parties are finding repercussions, verbal assault. And we have to find away to lead our Nation back to being a place where refuge could be found here.

Make your voice heard where you watch TV. Where you watch the News. Ask more questions
instead of having the opinion.   And don't watch hateful rhetoric.  Don't believe everything, research your opinion.

When we did Youth Ministry, you find people all types of people. Some are angry people.  And then the smaller percentage is angry people who do drastic things to get attention. And then you end up in the Hospital District in the middle of the night, with the parents, finding them going to mental facilities. Angry isn't "Better." Angry can be a sign to move away from the vehicle. Don't watch angry people. Find people who take the time to be more cautious than inflammatory.

Salmon effect. Now, with so many angry, snappy people the truly angry people are shouted down.  Verbal Vikings. Logically, when you have arrived at Verbal Vikings, there isn't a lot of calm, peaceful attempts at better life.

Participate in shutting down the Verbal Vikings with polite conversation and paying more attention to what is positive and hopeful.  Most of this life is actually consumer driven. Rather a God plan there. And really God Plan's are a Rather Be That.

If you don't want to wait in a line in a store without enough checkers, put the basket down
and move on. Spend your time, where you are helped. How beautiful are the feet of those bringing good news.

This isn't weak kneed. This is the society we want to cultivate. We have so many systems in extreme difficulty. And then again we don't. We have what is good, and we can improve upon what we have in reasonable hopes for success.

Romans 5:3-9

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

And hope does not put us to shame because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die.

God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by His Blood,
how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him!

Abba, Father God,

By You all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible,
Jesus brings many sons to glory.
For Jesus is come to our Father's glory with His angels,
and He will reward each person according to what he has done.

Help us to seek You and find You first.

Today:
We pray over the end of Pandemic
We pray with God over the Vaccines being given.

We give thanks for the older people who survived Covid and
are out and about contributing.

We pray for the 40-year-olds who passed on from Covid recently
and the people who will miss their family and friends.

We ask each other to remember we have all sustained grief and
heartache over Pandemic losses.

We prayed over knitted blankets and heard the comfort and healing the hospital patients found in the Lord Jesus and in our group's prayers. We prayed for Elliott to live and Elliott found remission, we pray for total healing.

Jesus heard us pray for financial restitution, and we have found this in the past.
We pray over those who need a job, and over the companies trying to decide
about employment on reasonable assumptions of reward and loss.

Jesus has been hearing us pray in Amazing and Wondrous Ways. We ask Jesus today for this Republic and the world looking to us to contribute each of us daily and globally.
Lord Jesus please heal, love, forgive, and heal them all
in Your Love and Mercy. Amen.

We lift up Elliott to be completely healed.

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among
those with whom He is pleased!”

Father God, help us to do the Good Works You have prepared us to walk in.

For the ones we Love and the People You have given us.
For our Churches, places of work, our states and Nation.
The People who are Your Beloved, to ALL
cover them with Your Name in strength and mercy.

We live abundantly on the Word of God, You have provided.

We Pray for the Republic.
We the People all have Family and Loved Ones
we have fought and lived and died
for our Freedoms.

One Nation Under God
with
Liberty and Justice for All.

We pray for Truth.
Knowing in the Truth is where Peace and Integrity
with Love and Courtesy Dwell.

Jesus, please dwell in us.
Jesus, please dwell in those we Love.
Favor our Nation, dwell in us. Please.

We ask to know to seek You first in all aspects of Life.
Knowing we will see and be more of Heaven on earth.

We ask the Vaccine to be delivered smoothly
and THANK GOD
for the Vaccine.

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary;

Matthew 13:31~ a grain of mustard seed

Cedars of Lebanon - used in The Temple in Jerusalem

Matthew 13:31

31 He put another parable before them, saying,

“The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. 32 It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.”

Cedars of Lebanon - the effort to replant was from Queen Victoria

What does the Kingdom of Heaven look like to you?

A Profound Question.

Jesus spoke to us, the Kingdom of Heaven was like a large tree. And surely Jesus knew something of this parable. Genesis begins with the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden and Revelation continues to tell us of this tree in Heaven.

God greeted Abraham where he chose to dwell.

Genesis 18:1
And the LORD appeared to him by the oaks of Mamre, as he sat at the door of his tent in the heat of the day.

Genesis 21:33
Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba and called there on the name of the Lord, the Everlasting God.

1 Kings 6
11 Now the word of the Lord came to Solomon, 12 “Concerning this house that you are building, if you will walk in my statutes and obey my rules and keep all my commandments and walk in them, then I will establish my word with you, which I spoke to David your father. 13 And I will dwell among the children of Israel and will not forsake my people Israel.”

14 So Solomon built the house and finished it. 15 He lined the walls of the house on the inside with boards of cedar. From the floor of the house to the walls of the ceiling, he covered them on the inside with wood, and he covered the floor of the house with boards of cypress.

Several times we are told trees (an image of angels, flowers, and trees) were displayed.

32 He covered the two doors of olivewood with carvings of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers. He overlaid them with gold and spread gold on the cherubim and on the palm trees.

Jesus cares about the forest. And mentioned the birds gathered in the branches. Jesus refers to Himself as the branch.

Matthew 4:4
Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"

Deuteronomy 22:6
“If you come across a bird's nest in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs and the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother with the young.

Matthew 23:37a
How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings

Matthew 10:29
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.

Yet, God's love doesn't stop with Jesus caring for only part of His Word made manifest.

Matthew 10:31
"So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows."

Luke 12
22 And he said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.

24 Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!

25 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 26 If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest?

27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

28 But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! 29 And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried.

30 For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you.

32 “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Trees have seasons. Winter appears to be a time of sleep. The truth is, trees love to be fed during winter.

And we probably have seen trees used to hold camping gear, or roofers putting their lunch or tools in the branches nearby. Even people who work outdoors will use tree limbs to store their gear. And if you walk by, you are going to study this - it's new. And it looks precarious.  Heaven isn't convenient.  The Kingdom of Heaven grows deliberately and in the placing of Heaven out of the average reach, makes Heaven secure and safe. The Kingdom of Heaven has much more valor than your average garden variety tree storage. More than human hands and ability.

Psalm 131
O Lord, my heart is not lifted up;
my eyes are not raised too high;
I do not occupy myself with things
too great and too marvelous for me.
2 But I have calmed and quieted my soul,
like a weaned child with its mother;
like a weaned child is my soul within me.

3 O Israel, hope in the Lord
from this time forth and forevermore.

We all have seasons. There are several non-seasonal aspects of life.  He tells us gratitude,  prayer and Love.

Of course, God branches out from this non-seasonality to say how we are to seek Him first; And life is going to become abundant. Center Him, as Joshua did. Asking Him to forgive us when we don't stay upon the blameless path. We should walk with integrity of heart. Then we ask Him to help us not fall away. Then our heart is not perverse. This is when and how we seek God first. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

Another non-seasonal - Jesus tells us, do not be anxious about our lives, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. He says your Father knows that you need them.

It is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Put your treasure and heart with Jesus. One's life does not consist in the abundance of possessions. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.

Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart. God's love pours into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, Jesus has been given the Holy Spirit to us.

Fear not. Jesus says. The Kingdom of Heaven is like -

Abba, Father God,

Help us to seek You and find You First.

Psalm 91:4
He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.

This Year 2021, we walk by faith
You will never leave nor forsake us.

Psalm 16:11
You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Jesus You are
The Way
The Truth
The Life

Revelation 7:9-10
After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

Jesus is described as Grace and Truth
living this Life with Joy.

The Plan of God is the Salvation
of the world
in Jesus Christ.

We lift our cares to You,
You Care for me!

Blessings on Elliott,
my mom
and my friend and her sister
in Jesus Christ.

Bless our Nation, we pray.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.

Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
