Hebrews 5:1-14 ~ the days of Jesus’ life on earth, He offered up prayers and petitions †

When you seek images of Jesus praying, Today, He is about 90% of the time looking up.  Historically, Jesus looks at His own Hands.  The Scriptures place prayer. Gabriel stands in the Presence of God. Moses is told to take off his shoes. Prostate prayer on the floor. Psalms records we pray flat on our bed. Head bowed. Sitting. Prayer is recorded from all positions. Kneeling, of course. More important, Prayer is asked to be continuous. An invitation to the open, always open, 12 Gates of Heaven. I so enjoy knowing Peter has the keys. I do believe Jesus was being humorous and honorable. A smile between Friends. Prayer!

The Shroud of Turin is capable of forming 3D images, due
to the depth of the Blood.

Of Great Interest is
one of the earliest known,
4th Century Icons of Jesus

Jesus tells us in Scripture, He has a Heavenly, touchable, eating, meeting Heavenly new physical body.

Akaine, is a child prodigy painter, having painted Jesus from her dreams of Him.

The boy, Colton Burpo, is a Pastor's Child. He recognized Jesus from Akraine paintings.

Months after surviving the emergency appendix surgery, Colton began sharing his afterlife visions, events, during surgery Colton went to heaven. Colton described events and people impossible for him to have known. Examples include: knowledge of an unborn sister miscarried by his mother before his birth and never mentioned to the young boy. Details of a great-grandfather who had died 30 years before Colton was born. Unable to place an elderly photo of his grandfather who died before Colton's birth worried his family. Until his grandmother found a photo of his grandfather at age 19, Colton knew the man by his first name. Colton also explained how he met Jesus riding a white horse and sat in Jesus' lap while angels sang songs to Him.

Hebrews 5:1-14

Every high priest is selected from among the people and is appointed to represent the people in matters related to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. 2 He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray, since he himself is subject to weakness. 3 This is why he has to offer sacrifices for his own sins, as well as for the sins of the people. 4 And no one takes this honor on himself, but he receives it when called by God, just as Aaron was.

5 In the same way, Christ did not take on himself the glory of becoming a high priest. But God said to him,

“You are my Son;
today I have become your Father.”

6 And he says in another place,

“You are a priest forever,
in the order of Melchizedek.”

7 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. 8 Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered 9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him 10 and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.

11 We have much to say about this, but it is hard to make it clear to you because you no longer try to understand. 12 In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! 13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness.

14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

Papyrus 46 is dated between the first Century and 175 A.D. To date this later comes as a debate over verb conjugations. This debate is brand new 2000 years after the fact. The University of Michigan shows labels of this being first century during the years the Disciple John was alive and having debates published in history.

Imagine being the Disciple John in old, old age.

John arrived on Patmos after surviving an event recorded on papyrus fragments and also a complete history. This papyrus (interpreted by Victor of Capua) might very well have originally been written by Polycarp, the disciple to John.  According to Dr. Bob Thiel, of the Washington Post, these fragments are John's disciple Polycarp - recording the cruel boiling oil as an historical event from John to Polycarp as John's own account.

A Historian, lawyer and married to a Christian wife - Tertullian disliked mysticism and wrote this was fact that John was boiled in oil and unharmed by Emperor Domitian intended the death of a man worshiping Jesus as God. Tertullian's book is The Prescription of Heretics. The precise written event - John was banished to Patmos after being plunged into boiling oil in Rome and suffering nothing from it. Tertullian wrote the whole audience of the smaller games area than the Colosseum was converted to Christianity upon witnessing this miracle. The smaller arena was used because, first, the dogs refused to attack John in the larger Colosseum.  Dogs were deemed less grand than lions. The smaller arena was packed for the second oil boiling event.  This event would have occurred in the late 1st century.

John's cave and the view were far from being an unpleasant place.

Polycarp and Tertullian wrote of John's grave as a fact containing John's body. They wrote of seeing a High Priest in the town near John's new grave. A High Priest was seen and both men did agree - John was indeed a High Priest. It would be more likely they had seen something of what Abraham encountered in Melchizedek. Or the people who awoke after the first Easter.

We recognize, without doubt, we are to follow Scripture. Yet we ignore our brains not to be stirred by what Tertullian wrote about in building the faith of the believers.

Faith stirs us to acts of Faith. We follow Jesus Christ the Lord and His Acts - not people. Scriptures give us examples of people, all show flaws and weaknesses. The majority of the Words are about God and His encouragement of His People.

This is Hebrews 5 and is very, very intact and legible. House and owned by the University of Michigan. Obviously, a true representation of The Acts of the Apostles we read of in the Gospels and in the Book of Acts.

When Jesus prayed, we rarely know the words He used to speak to His Father. And we know Jesus prayed out loudly and felt a conversation was in progress with emotions of emphatic petition. Jesus felt very, very connected to His Prayer Conversations. Jesus was written to have cried tears as He prayed.

Our Jesus prayed in public and, yet, He usually wanted to be somewhere on a hill or in a lonely place to feel the Holy Spirit connect Him to our Father.

Jesus also trusted "Thy Will be Done." His Plan is the hope and future. Jesus was obedient to the Will of God and believed God's Word and this tells us "All things work together for Good, for those who work love the Lord and work according to His purpose."

Jesus was also not a stranger to His Brother or Family, and He told James

James 1:5

If you need wisdom, ask God,
who gives generously
to all without finding fault,
and it will be given to you.

Abba, Our Holy Father,

We think of the warm days in Nazareth of the Brothers of Jesus - James, Jude, Joses and Simon and His sisters.
The Days of prayers with Jesus
and His warmth in the petitions to You.

We read James and Jude and remember the warm days they had with Jesus.

Jesus tells us His Holy Spirit is Comfort, Comforter,
Teacher.

The comfort of being exactly who they were before God and Jesus.
Nazareth saw their family as a blended Chiton. A seamless family - helping one another. Jesus helped them all get to Acts 1 - Praying together daily again.

God of Love and God of Encouragement - we lift our prayers to You.
Knowing the Blessing of being heard.
The Blessing of Your answers.
Thy Will be Done.
You are our Helper and Comforter.
We rest in Your Wings. Prince of Peace.

In Jesus, we rest securely and sleep fully.
Trusting You for the ones we Love, the people You give us.
You are the Light of the World.

We pray for this Nation,
the people of God,
the incredible number who pray,
And ask for Healing
in the violence seen worldwide.

We ask for Peace
Prosperity
and the families
You have encouraged and Loved
even before the Exodus.
Families building Families.
Places where Love is sheltered
and Your People see
more Heaven on earth.
Your Good Will be done.

1 Timothy 2:8

In every place of worship, I want men to pray
with holy hands lifted up to God,
free from anger and controversy.

Luke 24:50

And He led them out as far as to Bethany,
and He lifted up His hands, and blessed them.

Please Bless us with more Nations Trusting in You
and the Beloved Believing Your Promises.

We want to be people of peace.
Our solid food
is the Word of God.
Your Promises.
Our faith.

Dwell in me, Father,
Dwell in those I love,
Help us to seek You first,
we will finish well in Jesus Christ!

Jesus is our Lord God Almighty
and we ask in His Name.
We are Blessed. Amen!

For all the Times You've
Helped Thank You.

Alleluia and Amen in Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 12 ~ Give praise to the Lord, proclaim His Name

Your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God

God is still working!

Hebrews 1:14

Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve
for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?

Isaiah 12

In that day you will say:

“I will praise you, Lord.
Although you were angry with me,
your anger has turned away
and you have comforted me.

2 Surely God is my salvation;
I will trust and not be afraid.
The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense;
he has become my salvation.”

3 With joy you will draw water
from the wells of salvation.

4 In that day you will say:

“Give praise to the Lord, proclaim His name;
make known among the nations what He has done,
and proclaim that his name is exalted.

5 Sing to the Lord, for He has done glorious things;
let this be known to all the world.

6 Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion,
for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.”

Isaiah 55

1“Come, everyone who thirsts,
come to the waters;
and he who has no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without price.
2Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread,
and your labor for that which does not satisfy?
Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good,
and delight yourselves in rich food.

3 Incline your ear, and come to me;
hear, that your soul may live;
and I will make with you an everlasting covenant,
my steadfast, sure love for David.

Revelation 22:17

The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.”

And let the one who is thirsty come;
let the one who desires take the water of life
without price.

Jesus is the Free Gift of Salvation.

Abba, Father

Thank You.
We remember what we have lived through.

Thank You, Abba.

In the Name of Jesus.
Amen.

Matthew 9:35-10:1 ~ Workers

 Love, Joy, Peace, Patience.

How will we effectively see our prayers answered?

1. Expect Jesus.

2. Gratitude.

3. Being completely honest with God in our areas - we are not good in. Sin. Flaws.

4. And in dealing with others, agree that sometimes after forgiveness  - do not to live rent free in our lives, thoughts and troubles - give cheek to forgive, understand, move forward with a laugh with compassion and/or walk away. Remind yourself - this is a child of Father God's.(Compassion for Father God!) Let Go. Let God.

5. Temptation - circumstance, and in today's world - taking the Word of God to bring you Up, not to comfort you in being stagnant.

6. Protection and in Wisdom - Going where Jesus would go - in safety.

7. The purpose of Study of God's Word and Prayer - is His Glory and His Kingdom - our Father delights. He Delights. Giving us - His Kingdom. To Know Scripture is to tell the Father in Prayer, like Your Word says to me. Speaks to me. Our relationship. Your Love and Mercy. Jesus the God who speaks of Joy.

8. Saying the name of this Love - with Joy - Jesus the Lord.
Jesus the Christ of God
Jesus Christ
The Lord our Savior

9. Always remember, you delight the Lord. He wants to save you in Jesus Christ.

Matthew 9:35-10:1

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.

36 When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.”

10 And He called to Him His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every affliction

Father God says we all have good works created for our gifts and talents.

Hebrews 13:21

May He equip you with all you need for doing His will.
May He produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ,
every good thing
that is pleasing to Him.
All glory to Him forever and ever!
Amen.

James 5:16

The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power
and produces wonderful results.

Isaiah 35:5

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall hear.

Father God, In Jesus the LORD,
We would delight in Your Good Will and Plan.

We pray for the ones we love AND the people You have giving us - for this Love.
For this Nation and the World.

Help us when we have God Opportunities - to see You.
We ask You to guide, bless and protect us in each day.
We will see Jesus working.

We lift up the Texas and dependable rain and water prayers

Thank You - Padre Island and Texas beaches healing near Corpus Christi,
from Red Tide in the Past.  Praying again this year, this rain makes
this situation not occur.

We, Thank You, Father, for You sending rain and a swift new current of clear water.
The Pond we live on, we are so grateful.

We ask health for the fish and the water and people depending
on the tourism and fish for a living.

As the rain has sent Thanksgiving,
we ask for Your Help worldwide
with the anger on airlines, in business,
in relationships, nations at war with nations,
the anger we see in the surrounding hostility,
the violence with massive knife murders
and gun murders.

You are the Peace
and we pray
Your Love
and Help
worldwide.

Thank you, We are Your Children, Father God.
Amen in Jesus

Psalm 133 ~ The Lord has commanded the blessing, life forevermore

Psalm 133

Behold, how good and pleasant it is
    when brothers dwell in unity!

It is like the precious oil on the head,
    running down on the beard,
on the beard of Aaron,
running down on the collar of his robes!

It is like the dew of Hermon,
which falls on the mountains of Zion!

For there the Lord has commanded the blessing,
    life forevermore.

Proverbs 10:22

The blessing of the LORD enriches,
and He adds no sorrow to it.

We would all like the Prayer of Jabez as our own promise from the Lord.  And we know no more about Jabez.  His life was so blessed, we find none of the angst of David. Or others we learn of in Scriptures. However, we are not to think Proverbs 10:22 Promises us perfection in life. The Lord adds no sorrow. The Scriptures are filled with emotions in life. Blessing, trouble, angst and redemption.

Consider

  John 16

29 His disciples said, “Ah, now you are speaking plainly and not using figurative speech! 30 Now we know that you know all things and do not need anyone to question you; this is why we believe that you came from God.”

31 Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe? 32 Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me. 33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

John 21

After this Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias,
and he revealed himself in this way.

Simon Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together. Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We will go with you.” They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.

Just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to them, “Children, do you have any fish?” They answered him, “No.” He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish. That disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea. The other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, but about a hundred yards off.

When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it, and bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.” So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn. Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fish. This was now the third time that Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep. Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go.” (This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, “Follow me.”

Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them, the one who also had leaned back against him during the supper and had said, “Lord, who is it that is going to betray you?” When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about this man?” Jesus said to him, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!” So the saying spread abroad among the brothers that this disciple was not to die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he was not to die, but, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you?”

This is the disciple who is bearing witness about these things, and who has written these things, and we know that his testimony is true.

Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.

Finally, the truth is known:
The Disciples squabble with Jesus! After He brings them breakfast!

Telling us about Jesus

Hebrews 4:16

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace,
that we may receive mercy
and find grace
to help
in time of need

The Disciples learn He will never leave, nor forsake them. And they treat Jesus as their friend. Jesus, of course, answers back. God is God. We believe His will is good.

Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
