One of the best things about doing Youth Ministry, remembering still brings joy and a big smile, is remembering when the ice maker would go out and Edward would have to get up and fix it. When our friend, the Priest, was here, Edward could move the refrigerator, fix the water tubes, test it and this would all work in a NASCAR flat 5 minutes. If the Youth Minister and the Priest weren't playing Poker with the kids, or teaching guitar and a lesson, it could be 35 minutes of yelling and blue clouds. 

So, I just loved when the ice maker chose to go out during Youth Ministry.

The Temple made use of many tools to think of God first. And the magnificent steps, holding so many, would perform and sing the Ascent of the Stairs. Psalm 119, the longest Psalm, would use each letter of the Alphabet and climb the stairs. This was for High, Holy occasions. 

Not every day, not every occasion gives us a season of top-notch capacity.

But no matter what the place is, we can aspire and attain, the drive

to get this in the higher and better - heart, function, hope, kindness,

energy to try again. To attain the Goodness and Fullness of God.

It's not useful, in this time and season, to not acknowledge feeling like

we were on the .... middle of the stairs and feeling good about this -

= to suddenly feeling like we start on the glum lower stairs again.

In the give and take of the pull and push of good and Evil -

we have acknowledged to each other - we are all struggling.

Compassion is actually on the middle steps. Good News.

But no matter how we feel about the day,

we can seek and find with all our longing

God is with us and is for us. And the climb isn't so

tough as we thought before we looked for His Hand, again.

 

Which really explains Nehemiah 8:10. 

The Joy of the Lord is our Strength

When we realize we are going forth, even in trepidation and some anxiety, but we can find the Strength to Believe, we are going to have more optimism, more strength, more joy and Hope.

So many times, we can find a song that will inspire us. What we are doing is nourishing our lives. When I worked for the almost 4 years at Pro Life, talking to pregnant young women, Mothers with children, people with STI, we would talk about listening to Christian Radio. To have the nourishment of optimism.

We all have some complexities, but we can find the better working aspects of what we are given and let this be the portion of our lives driving the engine of ourselves.

One of the aspects of the vast clash of opinions is like the Circles of the Deep.

That original photo, however, originates from a 2007 research cruise of oceanographers studying the role that iron plays in the Gulf of Alaska, and how that iron reaches certain areas in the northern Pacific.

 Ken Bruland, professor of ocean sciences at University of California-Santa Cruz, was on that cruise. In fact, he was the one who snapped the pic. He said the purpose of the cruise was to examine how huge eddies -- slow moving currents -- ranging into the hundreds of kilometers in diameter, swirl out from the Alaska coast into the Gulf of Alaska. Those eddies often carry with them huge quantities of glacial sediment thanks to rivers like Alaska's 286-mile-long Copper River, prized for its salmon and originating from the Copper Glacier far inland. It empties out east of Prince William Sound, carrying with it all that heavy clay and sediment. And with that sediment comes iron. "Glacier rivers in the summertime are like buzz saws eroding away the mountains there," Bruland said. "In the process, they lift up all this material -- they call it glacial flour -- that can be carried out." Once these glacial rivers pour out into the larger body of water, they're picked up by ocean currents, moving east to west, and begin to circulate there. This is one of the primary methods that iron -- found in the clay and sediment of the glacial runoff -- is transported to iron-deprived regions in the middle of the Gulf of Alaska. As for that specific photo, Bruland said that it shows the plume of water pouring out from one of these sediment-rich rivers and meeting with the general ocean water. 

It's also a falsehood that these two types of water don't mix at all, he said. "They do eventually mix, but you do come across these really strong gradients at these specific moments in time," he said. Such borders are never static, he added, as they move around and disappear altogether, depending on the level of sediment and the whims of the water. There is much study being conducted on how this iron influences marine productivity, in particular its effects on the growth of plankton, which Bruland referred to as "the base of the food chain." But rivers aren't the only way that glacier sediment finds its way into the Gulf of Alaska -- occasionally strong winds can whip up enough silt to create a cloud of dust that's visible even from space as it is being carried out to sea. So next time somebody shares a "really cool photo" of "the place where two oceans meet," feel free to let them know the science behind the phenomenon.

There is a point to all of this conflict.

We define how we will stand. We are not so asleep to the fact life has an end on this earth, as when facing a Pandemic. Suddenly the internet was buzzing with Scripture reading. And then, seeing the differences between how the Renaissance faced death with the Black Plagues, we didn't feel as brave and smart. Suddenly our meaningful lives were going to struggle. But we know we are more aware of what the long term goals are.

Ephesians 3:19 ~ to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God

 

When our hearts reach to our soul and call to our Father. When we cry out in worship, to have hope, cry out in anger and injustice, when we are afraid, like a child. When a child is born: we glimpse the Glory of God. Suddenly, we feel so like dust, a speck in time. And in this Glory, we are filled and pleased just to exist to give God His Well Earned Glory. 

In the calm of rural peace, every star in the sky seems within reach. Time seems to stop and we understand the glory of being just mankind, born to give The Lord God Almighty, His Holy Spirit and His Wonderful Son Jesus the Glory.

Strife falls away as momentary. Envy is utterly worthless. God knows our Hearts and the Heart will Sing with all its Soul Given Strength. We know the eyes of faith have seen the Eternal open with Welcome and Well Known Arms. The One Who has Named us. Knows all of us. Love larger than the skies, glimpsing His Glory. The Heavens He knows and calls by Name. This is the One Who Will Comfort and Sustain us forever. The Glory, The Beauty, The Peace of the Lord God, Forever.

Endures Forever

The Lord God Almighty is Vast. 

He may be the entire, whole, Universe we live in. How would God build the Universe and Love us. Knows the stars by name. He does Love us. We would not know God, except our Father would delight in us. His Child. His Children. His Beloved.

 

John 21:24-25

24 This is the disciple 

who is bearing witness about these things, 
and who has written these things, 

and we know 

that his testimony is true.

25 Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace you have been saved through faith. 

And this is not your own doing;

 it is the gift of God, 

not a result of works, 

so that no one may boast.

The Word of God will endure always.

John 17:17

Sanctify them in the truth; 

Your Word is Truth.

But the Helper, 

the Holy Spirit,

In Creation, The Father and Son placed the Holy Spirit above the waters. And Delight filled our Father. Jesus, God's Son delighted to see the master work and the variety and beauty. Our Father delighted in Jesus. Jesus was the delight of our Father. And our Father saw Jesus delight in...mankind.



And as we consider the Love God is. 

We realize Jesus has brought our Father a new Heaven and a new earth. To bring the Holy Spirit to dwell in us as we seek Father God. Genesis did not bring the Holy Spirit into mankind. Jesus has brought His Holiness into dwell within our souls where we delight and love and hope and yearn and lean to our Father God's unending and steadfast love.

We have seen with the eyes of our soul. 

Jesus would today go to the Pool of Bethesda. And go back again to the man waiting for healing for 38 years. And Jesus would continue in His Father's Willingness and we would know today the name of Bartimaeus.

The willingness of Jesus cried out,

 "If you have seen me, You have seen the Father."

The Father, Prodigal Father, running to his belabored and brought down child. The widow who would be alone. And God brought her son back to life as he was carried to his tomb. Just as God, our Father, would do for our wonderful Jesus.

Matthew 11:28-30

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden,

 and I will give you rest. 

Take my yoke upon you, 

and learn from me, 

for I am gentle and lowly in heart, 

and you will find rest for your souls. 

For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Jesus forgave the thief on the cross with Him.

Jesus forgave the woman caught in adultery. 

Jesus forgave the tax collector who was known to take more than owed.

Jesus forgave Nicodemus who would not stand with Him. And Peter. 

Jesus forgave the Synagogue official who was not following Jesus 

and gave his daughter her life again for her parents.

What happened to the holy men who climbed from the tomb and were seen all over Jerusalem at the time of the First Easter?  We know the answer. Biblically, there is one answer. Jesus, when He died to rise again, no one went back to being dead - like the synagogue's daughter and the widow of Nain. No one went blind again. No one suddenly went leprous again. The lame continued to walk. The blind continued to see.

Ezekiel tells us what happened to the Holy Men. They Lived! John tells us what happened to them in the Book of Revelation, the walls of life fell down, and suddenly, they walked into the House with Many Mansions. Jesus, Himself, told us and wouldn't have said, if this were not so. Enoch entered Heaven as they did. They walked with God.

Jesus Son of God. 

Jesus Light of the world. 

Believers see the Light of Christ in one another. 

Jesus became so filled with Light, He left His accusers.

 God gave us His Son. 

Who opened His arms to all the pain and suffering 

and rejection to be our Salvation. 

God of Love. 

God of Encouragement.

10 of the Disciples stood apart. Jesus would not stand apart from them. 

Jesus would not stand apart from His Beloved Child - you.


What has God Given? Life. Love. Healing. Renewal. Eternity. Because of God's Love. Welcome into His Life and Love and Heaven.

Abba, Father,

We ask for Blessings all the time

and one of the best prayers is

in Ephesians 3

Ephesians 3:19 

to know 

the love of Christ

that you may be filled 

with all the fullness of God.

Dwell in us, Father.

Help the ones we Love to have You dwelling in them.

Heal the hurting, uplift the families. 

Send Your vast blessings. Father God, 

You are truly are as vast as the Universe itself and as gentle as a breeze. 

Speak the Word, Father God, and we know Your healing.

Economics.
