1 And He told them a parable
to the effect
to the effect
that they ought always to pray
and
not lose heart.
When I was in my late 20s, I'd pray as I fell asleep and put a tremendous about of effort in The Lord's Prayer to make sure the prayer wasn't boring for The Lord. And I'd remember the details of the day and why I felt my prayer was compelling. Then, the next thing, I'd be wide awake for the, “what was going to happen next.” I did this until explaining this to my sister-in-law and her mother, who had been a pastor's wife for a lot of years. She said as she bent over, this was something 20-year-olds do.
I am happy to report, I pray somewhat differently in this more mature decade.
As I get into bed, I think of the Peace of the Lord spreading over all we could touch, over the land, over the family, in the house, the family out of the house, the cars and the people we know, near and far. And I say The Lord's Prayer. I don't have to think of every circumstance, I just pray all of this in The Lord's Capable Hands to care for and love all of this. And the Peace is Profound. I sleep well.
This is the most peaceful prayer I have. Better than the during the day prayers. But, hey, someone has to keep The Lord God, The Almighty entertained. If you'd like to help, this would be lovely, thanks!
He keeps an open prayer Policy. The Gate is Open. He is good like that.

Our Father, Which art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Our Father, Which art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy Kingdom come;
Thy Will be done
in earth, as it is in Heaven:
Give us this day
our daily bread;
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive them that trespass against us;
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil:
(When before the Collect the priest alone recites the prayer,
the people here respond: Amen.
When after all
When after all
have communicated the people repeat each petition after the priest,
the prayer ends.)
For Thine is the Kingdom,
The Power,
and
The Glory,
For ever and ever.
For ever and ever.
Amen.
