Psalm 63
A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.
O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek You
my soul thirsts for You;
my flesh faints for You,
as in a dry and weary land
where there is no water.
So I have looked upon You in the Sanctuary,
beholding
Your power
and glory.
Because Your steadfast Love is better than life,
my lips will praise You.
So I will bless You
as long as I live
In Your Name I will lift up my hands.
My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food,
and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips,
when I remember you upon my bed,
And
meditate on You in the watches of the night;
for
You have been my help
And in the shadow of Your Wings
I will sing for joy.
My soul clings to You;
Your right hand upholds me.
But those who seek to destroy my life
shall
go down into the depths of the earth
They shall be given over to the power of the sword;
they shall be a portion for jackals.
But the king shall rejoice in God;
all who swear by Him
shall exult,
for the mouths of liars will be stopped.
Frankly, I am fried. Worn out. Hospitals, surgery, doctors, nurses, directions in the dark of early morning, schedules, anesthesiologists. Receiving a fake anesthesiologist bill for almost eight thousand dollars for two routine, small surgeries of 20 minutes each, totaling 40 minutes. I think this is our second fake bill during a procedure. In 2016, the surgeon had to shut down a bill from cons within a reputable organization. Later that same company had a nationally reported data breach.
What equipment, where, how, reviews and this isn't working and it is the future of his eye.
Then the why, how and what of the retina. We have another reason to be glad. The cataract held this together as the retina was beginning to become thin all over.
I have moved furniture, tables and massive pillows upstairs and downstairs to get Edward into the right 90' angle to have the eye heal.
And this, retinopexy. Retinopexy has significantly improved. The new gas injected into the retina can be healed within one week (to 3 months).
With our sleeping in short spells before the next hospital visit, surgery, doctor appointment and pharmacist trip. I am weary to the bone. The sore back bone.
And I have found if we pray and include an idea of us Jumping in the Air like a youth, we have a boost. A much smaller version of mounting up on Eagle's Wings. Some days, just as we are tired, getting up, walking and thinking, planning to do something else. A prayerful mental jump. Plus, if I feel really groggy, I add a small jump with this. What wakes the whole being, body and soul, up to God. This brings me to a small smile.
Abba, Father God,
Isaiah 40:30,31
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall.
31 But those who wait upon the LORD
will renew their strength;
they will mount up with wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not faint.
Praise You Father GOD
for giving us Your Word made Flesh.
