Why is the colt needed?
Jesus goes to make a place for us
11 Now when they drew near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of His disciples 2 and said to them,
“Go into the village in front of you, and immediately as you enter it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it. 3 If anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord has need of it and will send it back here immediately.’”
4 And they went away and found a colt tied at a door outside in the street, and they untied it. 5 And some of those standing there said to them, “What are you doing, untying the colt?” 6 And they told them what Jesus had said, and they let them go.
7 And they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks on it, and He sat on it. 8 And many spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches that they had cut from the fields.
9 And those who went before and those who followed were shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is He Who comes in the Name of the Lord! 10 Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!”
11 And He entered Jerusalem and went into the temple. And when He had looked around at everything, as it was already late, He went out to Bethany with the twelve.

Revelation 19:6-14
6 Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude,
like the roar of many waters
and
like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out,
“Hallelujah!
For the Lord our God
the Almighty reigns.
7 Let us rejoice and exult
and give him the glory,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and his Bride has made herself ready;
8 it was granted her to clothe herself
with fine linen, bright and pure”—
for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.
9 And the angel said to me, “Write this:
Blessed
are those who are invited
to the marriage supper
of the Lamb.”
And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.”
10 Then I fell down at his feet to worship him,
but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant
with you and your brothers
who hold to the testimony of Jesus.
Worship God.”
For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
11 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse!
The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True,
and in righteousness He judges and makes war.
12 His eyes are like a flame of fire,
and on His head are many diadems,
and He has a name written that no one knows
but Himself.
13 He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the Name
by which He is called is
The Word of God.
14 And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure,
were following Him
on
white horses.

Donkeys are loved and loyal, lots of donkeys. During Jesus living His Ministry, Horses were more rare and dramatic.
"Blessed
are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.”
And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.”
To join the Roman army, social and wealth ranks were well considered. The Gospels and early Acts mention Centurions. But a Military Tribune is specially appointed. A member of the equestrian rank in society.
Each Legion had 6 Tribunes appointed. Each legion was composed of about 5,500 men, all professional soldiers who signed on for terms lasting 25 years. In each Legion, ranked above the centurions, were six tribunes. These were men from the equestrian class, the second highest class in the Roman aristocracy, underneath the senatorial class. One tribune was senior in rank to the other five, and was second in command of the legion; he was called the Tribunus Laticlavius, and was appointed to the post by the Provincial Governor. Many times Tribunes were about to run for election in the Roman Senate. Most Tribunes became part of the Roman Senate.
There was no Legion stationed in Jerusalem
Pontius Pilate was only the rank of Equestrian, so he could not garrison a full legion under his command. Jerusalem was garrisoned by Cohors II Italica, it was only one Auxiliary cohort. Another, probably, at Caesarea.
Each of these auxiliary units would have been commanded by a tribune. There are 10 cohorts in a Legion and Judea had two cohorts.
Other opinions state: two cohorts were based in Jerusalem, one at the Antonia fortress and the other at the old palace, with another of the cohorts being based at Caesarea. There were probably only two tribunes. When a legion is missing two Tribunes to auxiliary units - trouble is, probably, expected.
Judea was a suburb to Syria.
Our God is certainly making the Path of Jesus memorable. The details are serious.

John 16:33
I have said these things to you, that in me
you may have peace
In the world you will have trouble.
But take heart, I have overcome the world.
1 John 5:5
Who is it that overcomes the world
except the one who believes
that
Jesus is the Son of God?

Little children, you are from God
and have overcome them,

John 14
“Let not your hearts be troubled.
Believe in God; believe also in me.
2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come again
and will take you to myself,
that where I am you may be also.
And you know the way to where I am going.”

John 17
20 “I do not ask for these only,
but also for those who will believe in Me through their word,
21 that they may all be one,
just as you, Father, are in Me, and I in you,
that they also may be in Us,
so that the world may believe that You have sent me.
22 The glory that You have given me I have given to them,
that they may be one even as we are One,
23 I in them and you in me,
that they may become perfectly One,
so that the world may know that You sent me
and loved them even as You loved Me.
24 Father, I desire that they also,
whom you have given me,
may be with Me where I am,
to see My glory that You have given Me
because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
25 O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you,
I know You,
and these know that You have sent Me.
26 I made known to them Your Name,
and I will continue to make it known,
that the love with which You have loved Me may be in them,
and I in them.”
Abba, Father,
Life assures us the road has sharp turns,
Unforeseen corners and the comments do not cease.
Jesus Himself tells us
He is the way, the truth and the Life.
Know the Scriptures,
Know the Power of God.
And we will believe in the One He has Sent.
Surely, He took on our infirmities
and carried our sorrows;
yet, we considered Him stricken by God,
struck down and afflicted.
But He was pierced for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace
was upon Him,
and by His stripes
we are healed.
Each Day we are Blessed
to ask for more
More Heaven on earth.
More Give us This Day.
More Daily Bread.
The Universe is upheld
by the
Power of Your Word.
May The Lord God Almighty
His Son Jesus
surround and uphold us
in This Peace.
The Peace is Upheld by God Himself
and
we ask
His Blessing and Favor.
Gently, we hand You our Cares
knowing Your Hands hold
this so well.
Tenderly.
And we are Loved and Filled.
We give thanks for
Your Sacrifice
to bring those unworthy
to be adopted into Your Family.
Knowing we are not perfect,
have weakness,
flaws
and sins.
And draw near to you with confidence
in Jesus Christ
according to Your Will
Your Word
Your Steadfast Love
and Your Promises in Jesus.
Dwell in us
and help us to be Pleasing to You
Dwell in those we Love and Honor
and help us to seek You first
and we will end well in Jesus Christ.
In the Highest Name
of Jesus Christ,
Amen
