Jeremiah 33:1-3 ~ Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known

 Pontius Pilate is receiving diplomatic visitors. It's unclear if it's Friday night, or Saturday Passover with a broken Temple foundation and Holy of Holy Curtain. What is clear - Pontius Pilate wrote to Emperor Tiberius Claudius Nero. Tertullian and Justin Martyr refer to an account of Christ's Passion sent by Pilate to Rome. The letter is lost today.

Matthew 27

The chief priests and the Pharisees gathered before Pilate 63 and said, "Sir, we remember how that impostor said, while he was still alive, 'After three days I will rise.' 64 Therefore order the tomb to be made secure until the third day, lest his disciples go and steal him away and tell the people, 'He has risen from the dead,' and the last fraud will be worse than the first."

65 Pilate said to them, "You have a guard of soldiers. Go, make it as secure as you can."

66 So they went and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone and setting a guard.

A Guard of Soldiers arrives at the Tomb of Jesus' body and seals the round, very heavy, very unusual tomb stone.

God has spoken of this

Jeremiah 1

18 And I, behold, I make you this day a fortified city, an iron pillar, and bronze walls, against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests, and the people of the land. 19 They will fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you, for I am with you, declares the Lord, to deliver you.

The Temple is having dire problems and very abnormal Passover. All of Israel knows. The Curtain described to Moses by God covering the Ark, separating the Holy of Holies is completely torn. The floor split by earthquake during the Crucifixion of Jesus. The Chief Priests and the Pharisees have not forgotten Jesus of Nazareth. The Disciples also know all of Israel knows.

Jeremiah 30

10'Fear not, O Jacob My servant,' declares the LORD, 'And do not be dismayed, O Israel;

For behold, I will save you from afar And your offspring from the land of their captivity. And Jacob will return and will be quiet and at ease, And no one will make him afraid.

11'For I am with you,' declares the LORD, 'to save you; For I will destroy completely all the nations where I have scattered you, Only I will not destroy you completely. But I will chasten you justly And will by no means leave you unpunished.'

Jeremiah 33:1-3

33 The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah a second time,

while he was still shut up in the court of the guard:

2 “Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it—the Lord is His Name: 3 Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.

Jeremiah 39

17 But I will deliver you on that day, declares the Lord, and you shall not be given into the hand of the men of whom you are afraid. 18 For I will surely save you, and you shall not fall by the sword, but you shall have your life as a prize of war, because you have put your trust in Me, declares the Lord.’”

Jeremiah 46

27 “But fear not, O Jacob my servant,
nor be dismayed, O Israel;
for lo, I will save you from afar,
and your offspring from the land of their captivity.
Jacob shall return and have quiet and ease,
and none shall make him afraid.

Abba our Father,

We seek Jesus for Your Grace and Mercy. Your Blessings each day and in the time of need.

"See, I have set before you

 life and good, death and evil... therefore choose life." 

Our Alleluia Chorus will come from Jesus.

Instead of fire threat

and architectural threat

and being called a 

iconic landmark

instead of

Cathedral

Please continue to pray for peace and the wishes of our parents and great

grandparents to be fulfilled in a peaceful and complete manner. 

This is Our Father and Jesus, 

comforts us 

enabling us, 

strengthening us,

able to comfort those in any affliction,

 Blessings of Grace 

Blessings of Peace,

we ourselves are comforted 

by God.

Dwell in me,

Dwell in those we Love,

Help us to seek You first.

Peace and the Joy God gives us.

And we will finish well, 

in Jesus Christ.

In Christ’s one offering of His life, and in His sufferings,

we share abundantly in comfort.

for the believers of God

To Know Your Love

See the weary world REJOICING in Christ Jesus.

We can do absolutely nothing about Massachusetts killing babies.  Shake our heads at the horror of babies murdered. We can moan and cry and do absolutely nothing. And those babies will die badly.

 Or we can find life and grace. Blessing the great and grand and parents to find Love has made a path straight forward. 

Pray and make a path for these preborn children to LIVE.

And we will pray

Abortion will end.

To Know Your Love 

and

See the weary world REJOICING in Christ Jesus.

Life for preborn children. Human Beings. Babies.  Hoping for love and warmth to give and receive.  So many willing hearts and homes. Valid Adoption Agencies.  Hope for the biological mother, instead of a life of sadness.

Galatians 6:1-10 ~ restore

Galatians 6:1-10

Brothers,^{[Brothers and sisters]} if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. 2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor. 5 For each will have to bear his own load.

6 Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches. 7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 

8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 

9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. 

10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.



Muscular Christianity has been something admired through the generations. And the passage declares ... this isn't the path forward.

We were told in Church, one evening, with a very brilliant, interesting and well-known Professor from SMU, he loved the people he lived with in the Middle East. They had an endearing quality he loved; they kept urging him to say this phrase, "Allah is God, and Mohammad His Prophet." It seems if you say those words, in their tradition, then you are saved. In like Flynn. 

And our admired professor left his year long new friends, with smiles, having never uttered that phrase.  Perhaps he should have done as Paul - and become all things to all people.  The Professor was asked to just say the phrase. Instead our professor declined -  saying Jesus is KING, his Savior, the Son of God. And knowing our professor, he was gentle and witty.  

This year in his life expands this passage so well. Our friend was there learning about his lifework of Hebrew & of History, and instead his reason to boast was not his. His work as a Priest overshadowed the lessons. He proclaimed Jesus Christ in gentleness to the those who insisted on their own way. Our Priest Professor believed God would not be mocked by the repetition of a mere phrase.  He believes: 

Romans 10:9

Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord 

and 

believe in your heart that God raised Him 

from the dead, 

you will be saved.

A relationship, not a religion.


In not making the requested declaration, our Priest heard a woman come up to recite prayers to one of the more questioning and reasonable men. They all knew the woman would not be able to say these prayers in Arabic and yet she perfectly recited the daily prayer, and had not a clue she omitted one phrase "and Mohammad was His Prophet."  Which would usually incite a riot, or at least a good fist fight. Instead this created a long memorable, earnest,  conversation of the tongues of fire given in the Book of Acts. The gift of language. 

2 Chronicles 5:14

Acts 2:1-8

When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. 

2 And suddenly there came from Heaven 

a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. 

3 And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.

5 Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven. 6 And at this sound the multitude came together, and they were bewildered, because each one was hearing them speak in his own language. 7 And they were amazed and astonished, saying, “Are not all these who are speaking Galileans? 8 And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language?

Now we could end our post by reporting a conversion with this miracle. Instead we will say a seed was planted.

1 Corinthians 3:4-9

4 For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not being merely human?

5 What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. 7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. 8 He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor. 9 For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building.


We are not blessed to know the outcome of the ears hearing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Instead we learn about the Priest.

the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, 
for in due season we will reap,
 if we do not give up. 

10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Titus is good to knowing the Verse of Titus. Titus is considered to be one of the 72 Disciples of Jesus and part of the dispersion asking Jesus to come and visit the Greek island of Crete. Like the Disciple John, and Timothy, Titus was known to have grown to old age living in the community surrounded by the Grace of God.

Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.

1Timothy 5:25

Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.

1 Timothy 6:18

That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

Titus 2:7

In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity

Titus 2:14

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Titus 3:5

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Titus 3:8

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

And the anti works. The Disciple John spoke so much of love, but also recognizing evil to get away from ..... it. John lived well into the 2nd century A.D. Living on the island of Patmos in old age and into the 2nd century, and moving back to Ephesus after the punishing Emperor had died. Considering their length of years, wise to understand what these Christians knew.

1 John 3:8

He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

1 John 3:12

Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

What contributed to their long life?

Seeking God

Not Provoking

Ephesians 6:1-4

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
