Luke 5:1-11 ~ Jesus sat down and taught

Luke 5:1-11

He was standing by the lake of Gennesaret, 2 and he saw two boats by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets. 3 Getting into one of the boats, which was Simon's, he asked him to put out a little from the land.

And Jesus sat down and taught the people from the boat.

4 And when he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” 5 And Simon answered, “Master, we toiled all night and took nothing!
But at your word I will let down the nets.” 6 And when they had done this, they enclosed a large number of fish, and their nets were breaking. 7 They signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.

8 But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.”

9 For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish that they had taken, 10 and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon.

And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men.”

11 And when they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed Him.

The Prodigal Son is a life journey. Peter marks out a journey. He initially wants Jesus to depart from him, when he understands the Power of God.  God has given Peter what he wants. Peter is now humbled. Suddenly, Peter has traveled too far in Peter's idea of life. Perhaps Peter seems himself as shallow and foolish. Peter is given clarity of a new life and idea to journey toward.

Let's look at a few of the markers of Peter's journey in the Gospels.

Peter sees Jesus walking by the boat, intending to pass by the Disciples. They cry out. Jesus is a ghost? Jesus immediately moves to comfort the Disciples. And He is in the boat with them. Jesus is Living.

Jesus walks on the water and Peter decides he will walk on water as well.
God allows Peter to know quickly Peter is not Jesus. Jesus immediately helps Peter, not just as Jesus compassionate. Jesus Teaching about being mortal.  Jesus rewarding Peter's faith as Jesus was impressed with the Centurion, who knew Jesus heals with His Word.

Peter finds Jesus controls the winds and the waves and calms the Storm. All things are under the feet of God's Only Son, The Christ of God, His Son Jesus. Messiah.

Peter assures Jesus, Peter is staying. Jesus has the Word of Life. No one else does.

Good Friday, Peter fails the Word of Life. God's Son. The Prophetic Word of God about Peter, instead, is True.

Peter falls back on his own lifelong comforts and resumes fishing. The Prophetic Word of God about Peter fishing for men is fulfilled. And Peter isn't trying to be God and walk on water anymore. Peter, instead, is all in for Jesus.

Peter began with a desire to know more about God. And discovering God. Peter wanted freedom to be himself, on his own terms.

By the Easter season, Peter was simply the genuine Child of God, trying to be with Jesus.

Peter had journeyed and lived the Word of God. Living.

The Word of Jesus was all important. Jesus is the Word of God manifest.

Peter knew the Journey for Peter.

With Jesus, Peter was given more of Life, than he had ever asked or imagined.

Luke 18:1
Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them
that they should always pray
and not give up.

Abba, Father God,

Now,
May the God of Peace Himself
sanctify you completely,
and may your whole spirit and soul and body
be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
He who calls you is faithful
 He will surely do it!

We ask in the Highest Name of Jesus,
we seek and find God first.

And in Jesus, to bless, seal and protect
those we Love and for our Churches, Communities
and Employments to have this Jesus Blessing.

We give You our cares,
Your Steadfast Love assures us
You care for us.

Corrie Ten Baum witnessed to Your Steadfast Love
and need for Prayer.
Corrie Ten Baum saw the need for hope of such magnitude even the fleas
could be relied upon for Your Good Purpose.

The Exodus also declares the Impossibility You display.
The King James Version of the Bible calls the
Impossibility and Improbability of God, "Vouchsafe"

Acts 7:17
As the time drew near for God to fulfill his promise to Abraham,
the number of our people in Egypt had greatly increased.

Jesus, being Your Son, went in a more unbelievable direction
603,550 in Numbers 1:46
The Exodus people God was to feed and water in the absolute desert,
far exceeded the feeding of 5,000.
Jesus said such impossible goals of God Himself
He went from 72 Disciples to 70 Disciples and then
explained to 12 Disciples they would form His Church.

Peter was to discover the Wind of the Holy Spirit.
This is where we want to be. The Word of God.
God give us Your Direction
and the Holy Spirit for those we Love.
Moving us and inspiring us
our employments, our hopes,
our Churches, our cities.
And this Nation.
Let us be Blessed of Jesus.

Father, please give us Health in all aspects.
For Elliott Healing. And their family.
For those very ill. And for those who know loved ones now in Heaven.
For all the Children of God who have suffered and call out
to You, Father, in the Highest Name of Jesus Christ.
We offer to You great Thanks for
Your Willing Blessings and Answers!

Our God is working. His Son,
Jesus is working.
And we say Amen in Jesus.

Luke 12:29-31 ~ your Father knows you need these things

Jesus said, "Give us the Day!"

Ecclesiastes 9:10
"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might."

Paul explained this. Peter spoke of this.

John 13:9
“Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!

Isaiah said, "Send me!"

Luke 12:29-31

"Do not seek what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not keep worrying.

For all these things the nations of the world eagerly seek; but your Father knows that you need these things.

But seek His kingdom, and these things will be added to you."

These Olive Trees in the Garden of Gethsemane have seen two millenniums.

Has mankind changed in their basic needs?

Josephus records the Olive Trees being spared when Jerusalem became rubble in 70 A.D. These trees have probably seen more upheaval than peace. How will peace be obtained?

You see, reconciliation is great, but living together, working together, serving each other - now that involves some interesting dynamics!

Hospice tells me almost all families have "dynamics".

The dynamics of living together takes ongoing work.
Every one of us knows from experience that being reconciled, whether it is shrugs or quiet regrets, is not the same as living together.

It takes commitment to relationship, habits of healthy and fair communication, and especially keeping the relationship clean.

All of us know that in living together, working together, little things can irritate, habits can unintentionally offend, communication in the negotiation of life can become harsh and undisciplined and we can end up regretting what we are saying and the relationship becomes unwound.

We know this happens when people are compatible, the personalities fit perfectly together.

Just imagine the dynamics when sinful people try to get alone with a holy God who is a consuming fire.

The wash basin, which was the next piece of furniture after the bronze altar of sacrifice had to do with the dynamics of keeping the relationship with God clean.

In the small things in life.
A lamp is mended. A fan is repaired. Small acts of kindness giving the heart a chance to be grateful. A son returns home. A wash basin is restored. God has a way of making us understand, how deeply God Understands. How warm Jesus heals with compassion. So many times Jesus had more to say than just, "He healed them all." Jesus intended us to get off the beaten, regular, dog paths of life to find Jesus in the quiet places Jesus sometimes calls, "lonely places." Jesus sends His healed people to the priest. Then we realize a story of faith is going to feed many, many, many people.

Jesus sends the Healed blind man to the Pool of Siloam. Sent. Jesus feeds the multitudes, today and all through the millenniums.

Exodus 30
17 Then the Lord said to Moses, 18 “Make a bronze basin, with its bronze stand, for washing. Place it between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and put water in it. 19 Aaron and his sons are to wash their hands and feet with water from it. 20 Whenever they enter the Tent of Meeting, they shall wash with water so that they will not die.

Also, when they approach the altar to minister by presenting an offering made to the Lord by fire, 21 they shall wash their hands and feet so that they will not die. This is to be a lasting ordinance for Aaron and his descendants for the generations to come.”

How will we sweep away what clutters us?

Jesus knew His disciples had come to a time of decision.

Some wanted seats in Heaven. They had almost all left upon finding Jesus wanted them to eat His Body and Blood.

The things God asks of people are difficult.
Only faith in God gets us by. Humans change, fade and wither. God wants us to develop our skill to see further than the immediate journey.

John 9:4
"We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day;
night is coming when no one can work."

Jesus said Give us the Day.

So many people fear God will send them forth to scary places.
God is with us every day and all the time.

Matthew 8:27
The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey Him!”

Matthew 7:25
The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall because it had its foundation on the rock.

Matthew 8:26
He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

Acts 2:2
Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.

There isn't a comma in Acts 2:2. God is saying He is this close to us.

Ruth 1:16-17
And Ruth said,
Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee:
for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge:
thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:
Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried:
The LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.

John 6:68
Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go?
You have the Words of eternal life."

For millenniums, people have looked, prayed, trusted God with His guidance.
Including the ancestry of Jesus.

Ruth knew Naomi would be apart from her. God tells us:

Abba, Father God,

Help us to seek You First.
In Jesus, we are satisfied and Joyful in Your Strength.
Bless those we Love to live, "Give us this day!"
And in Your Joy and Strength
know Your Love and Gracious Mercy.

Jesus gave His Father and our Father
a new Heaven and a new earth.

In Jesus Christ
we are bold to pray impudently as the friend, we implore with Hope:
Yes, we do.

Jesus Christ, Wonderful Jesus, Savior
Entreat me not to leave Thee

We will never want to return from following after Thee:
You have the Eternal Words of Life.

Like Thomas said when Thomas saw Lazarus Live:
For whither Thou goest, I will go

And when Jesus gave us John 14,
We know Jesus prepares a place for us.
My father, Daddy, dreamed 80 times
of coming to guide my mother to Heaven.
My daddy recognized in God's Amazing House
- he said he spent more than he knew days looking for the front door,
he recognized our home as within God's Huge Home.
God does indeed make a Place for us. Home.
And where Thou lodgest, I will Lodge.

We say to Jesus with all our hearts, dwell in us. Live in us, Jesus.
Thy people shall be my people, and Thy Son Jesus, my God

Jesus saves the world.
Jesus saves me.
Jesus saves you and those you love.
Jesus saves the world.

Where Thou LIVE, will I LIVE,
and there will I be Eternally

Our Jesus LORD do so to me, and more also,
 if ought but death depart
from me in Thee and mine.

For this reason
I bow my knees before the Father,
from whom every family in heaven and on earth
 is named,

According to the riches of His glory He may grant you
to be strengthened with power through His Spirit
in your inner being

so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith
—that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
may have strength to comprehend
with all the saints
what is the breadth and length and height and depth

And to Know
the Love of Christ
surpassing knowledge

May you be filled with
 all
the Fullness of God.

Now to Jesus Christ, Wonderful, Savior, God's Only Son
He is able to do far more abundantly
than all that we ask or imagine,

According to the Power at work within us,
To Jesus Christ be glory in the Church

for His Glory to Dwell in us
His Living Word Jesus Christ, God Manifest
His Love
His Joy
His Mercy
His Protection
in each soul
in each family
in each friend
Elliott to be healed
in each Church
in each City
in our Nation
in the Nations of His Good Creation, the earth.

And in Christ Jesus
Throughout all generations,
forever and ever.
Amen.

Matthew 20:1-16 ~ Generosity

Shine - Collective Soul

Matthew 20:1-16

1 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a master of a house who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard. 2 After agreeing with the laborers for a denarius[a day's wages for a laborer} a day, he sent them into his vineyard. 3 And going out about the third hour he saw others standing idle in the marketplace, 4 and to them he said, ‘You go into the vineyard too, and whatever is right I will give you.’ 5 So they went.

Going out again about the sixth hour and the ninth hour, he did the same. 6 And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing. And he said to them, ‘Why do you stand here idle all day?’ 7 They said to him, ‘Because no one has hired us.’

He said to them, ‘You go into the vineyard too.’

8 And when evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, ‘Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last, up to the first.’ 9 And when those hired about the eleventh hour came, each of them received a denarius. 10 Now when those hired first came, they thought they would receive more, but each of them also received a denarius.

11
And on receiving it they grumbled at the master of the house,
12 saying, ‘These last worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat.’

13 But he replied to one of them, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius? 14 Take what belongs to you and go. I choose to give to this last worker as I give to you. 15 Am I not allowed to do what I choose with what belongs to me? Or do you begrudge my generosity?’

16 So the last will be first, and the first last.”

So the last will be first, and the first last.

Jesus told us the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.
He didn't mean just for that moment. Jesus was telling us when we confess with our mouths and believe with our hearts - we have eternal life. Beginning ..... stop watch click...... at believing.

All of God's promises are for us - now.

Life isn't Perfect.
Jacob having the full weight of God's blessings behind him
- Yet a lot of Jacob's life looked pretty similar to Job. It was within Jacob's soul that God's blessings lived, multiplied and were given out. Jacob lived His promises.

Hiring people to make Mother's home up to selling is not just cleaning, sorting, memories, sorrow, joy, it's meeting with the people who bid and keeping them going and doing the job
well, on time, on budget, completely and caring for my entire family.

Who else would be first and last in God's blessings?
Jesus' own brothers.

Jesus knew they would shine.
Just as God knew Gideon would shine as well. It is fairly, understatement, important to treat people like they have it within them to Shine.

Pray hard - with hope. God is still at work today. An uncle of mine found the Lord at age 78. Dancing in Heaven, yes, my grandmother would.

John 7:1-5      Jesus' brothers, act like people, want Him to see some trouble.

After this, Jesus went around in Galilee, purposely staying away from Judea because the Jews there were waiting to take his life. But when the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles was near, Jesus' brothers said to him, "You ought to leave here and go to Judea, so that your disciples may see the miracles you do. No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world." For even his own brothers did not believe in him.

Matthew 12:46-50

After Jesus declared the ruling people of the temple to be vile and evil, His brothers want the trouble to die down. In reality, they didn't want that much trouble for any of them.

While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.

"He replied to him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?" Pointing to his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."

Mark 6:3

Jesus records how his brothers think of Him; Jesus' family is seen by others as a very loving, all of a kind, family.

His family didn't whitewash all the aspects. They lived who they really were. Even when they were last in Jesus' daily life, they were part of His Plan, Hope and Future.

"Where did this man get these things?" they asked. "What's this wisdom that has been given him, that he even does miracles! Isn't this the carpenter? Isn't this Mary's son and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas and Simon? Aren't his sisters here with us?" And they took offense at him. Jesus said to them, "Only in his hometown, among his relatives and in his own house is a prophet without honor."

This is Jesus loving His brother in clear light. He understands the situation, not whitewashing it. So, 1 Corinthians 13 tells us love conquers all.

1 Corinthians 9:5
Paul tells us of Jesus' brothers.

Don't we have the right to take a believing wife along with us, as do the other apostles and the Lord's brothers and Cephas [Peter]?

The Books of the Bible, James and Jude are Jesus' brothers that their Nazareth hometown saw them as a seamless family. They have Jesus dwell with them. As we can do this today.

Acts 1:14
They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.

Hebrews 2:10-12, Jesus speaks of us as His brothers, but also His own brothers.

In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering. Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers. He says,
"I will declare your name to my brothers;
in the presence of the congregation I will sing your praises."

I pray the Psalms. Fly into the Hands of God.  I'm placing the one I love in His Hands.

Psalm 87

1 On the holy mount stands the city He founded;

2 The LORD loves the gates of Zion
more than all the dwelling places of Jacob.
3 Glorious things of you are spoken,
O city of God.
Selah

4 Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon;
behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Cush
“This one was born there,” they say.
5 And of Zion it shall be said,
“This one and that one were born in her”;
for the Most High himself will establish her.
6 The LORD records as he registers the peoples,
“This one was born there.”
Selah

7 Singers and dancers alike say,
“All my springs are in you.”

1 Corinthians 13:13
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.
And the greatest of these is love.

Jesus is God's Delight.
 Jesus has Joy.
In His Blessings, Jesus wants to give Blessings.

In studying prayer, people who have had a blessing, are very capable of praying this received blessing on to others.  We are fully capable of blessing each other with Prayer.

Abba, Father God,

Our Abba, as we open our hands to You in Prayer.

We consider by grace we have been saved through faith.
And this is not our own doing; it is the gift of God.

Help us always to seek Your First, Jesus Christ.
In this comfort and Love, help us be able to know
You will love and dwell with those we Love.

Having gifts, let us use them: in proportion to our faith.
Even the Disciples had fear.

The huge change is going on in my family. It's just a very emotional time,
please pray for peace with our family.  Edward has done an awful lot to be very supportive.
Please pray for peace during this time.

My dear friend told me, there isn't really a great emotion in this. We go on being transparent, asking for help, being in Father God and ask His Help. Peace within the family.

We thank You for hearing our Prayers, Abba.
We will ask for each day, each opportunity, each decision, every day - Father God who gives generously to all without reproach, we will ask for Wisdom and to see Your Willingness and it will be given to Your Beloved.

We pray this for our concerns, our lives, our hopes. We pray this over the people we love. The People You have given us. Healing, life, hearing, eyes, provision, opportunities. Hope, Joy, Love. Protection. And for this Nation to love You more.
And for the Beloved of God - everywhere to have this of You, their Father.

Always we want to Listen to Jesus.

Bless this Nation with mercy and tolerance, remembering the historic anger and ill-logic
following Pandemics. The sweep of History shows Pandemics have recovery.

Lord Jesus we ask Your Love and Help.
Amen in His Highest Name

Ephesians 3:14-21

14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,
from whom
every family
in heaven and on earth is named,

That according to the riches of His glory
He may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit
in your inner being,
17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith
—that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints
what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge,
that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all
that we ask or think,
according to the power at work within us,
21 to Him be glory in the church
and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.
Amen.

The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
