Romans 7 ~ We know that the law is spiritual

Romans 7

Do you not know, brothers and sisters—for I am speaking to those who know the law—that the law has authority over someone only as long as that person lives? 2 For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law that binds her to him. 3 So then, if she has sexual relations with another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress if she marries another man.

4 So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. 5 For when we were in the realm of the flesh,[a] the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in us, so that we bore fruit for death. 6 But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.

7 What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.” 8 But sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, produced in me every kind of coveting. For apart from the law, sin was dead. 9 Once I was alive apart from the law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died. 10 I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death. 11 For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death. 12 So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good.

13 Did that which is good, then, become death to me? By no means! Nevertheless, in order that sin might be recognized as sin, it used what is good to bring about my death, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful.

14 We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me.

18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature.

For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!

So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

Is there sin in the Bible?

Usually Father God teaches us about sin, not as a list, but a story of godly men and women who fell. These people - were hoping usually not to be seen or identified as people who usually do the wrong thing. And their life story shows to go on hurting others, or ourselves, causes us to change attitudes and opinions sometimes to fall. To adapt to evil and fall. Others see the damage and repair.

And if we were to put names to the flaws:

Romans 3
21 But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law,
although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it—

22 the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction:
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift.

Through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith.

This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.

26 It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

The names would be - all - have fallen.

Why would The Scriptures go on about being wrong when St. Paul was writing this in the Power of the Holy Spirit? Paul is sorry that his private opinions are not always gracious. His actions not always pleasing to God.

Paul realizes the depth of Jesus' sacrifice and knows he is unworthy to attain his own Salvation.

Father God,

You know all of the Constellations and call them all by name.

The Heavenly Host are Yours.

Rise up Father God, in Your Mercy receive our prayer as our
Compassionate Father!

We believe in Your deliverance with prayer and sincerity of Heart.

Father God, Lord, You are a shield around me,
my glory, the One who lifts my head high.

I call out to the Lord Father God,
and He answers me from His Holiness.

I lie down and sleep;
I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.

I will not fear though life will have swells of waves
or if concerns assail me on every side.

Arise, Lord!
Deliver us Father GOD, my God! To Do Your Compassionate and Great Will

From the Lord comes deliverance.
May your blessing be on your people.

Alleluia in the Name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

Psalm 91 ~ Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty +

Psalm 91

1
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

3
Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4
He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5
You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7
A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8
You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9
If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10
no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11
For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12
they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13
You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14
“Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15
He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16
With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.

What would David say about answered prayer?

David would answered prayer IS a real mess. If priests feed you, then the authority comes along and slaughters priests.

David would say - in answered prayer - if you have a best friend, they are pressured to leave you alone. And Dart away.

David would say - in answered prayer -  your own wife would stay with authority or power. And desert you.

David would say answered prayer  - causes your friends to live with you in a cave.

David would say and then and then and then it gets worse, you live in a cave some people say is actually a ditch and your family gets carried away. Kidnapped.

Then if you dance naked - why - a spouse and others will complain.

Answered prayer is being seen in to.

Then the next event that occurs of Father God - is -
-

-

- waiting.

Abraham and Sarah did this. Sarah laughed and Abraham did not. Sarah left this life and Abraham married a second time - to later regret this and send his second marriage sons off as if he had married a concubine.

Why would God cause David and Abraham and Sarah to wait?

One of the deep purposes of Life is repeated as Scripture is repeated and repeated. Jesus reveals hearts - this is why Jesus came to be part of our lives as Grace upon Grace. Jesus reveals not only Himself, Jesus reveals hearts.

One of the deep purposes of Life is to return to Father God, who will run to us if we have sought Father God. To tell us He was always with us. We are bring home, borrowing another Parable, our talents. What we have told our soul is acceptable to Jesus The Lord. We are telling Jesus we have not treated Him as our waiter.

God says over and over - we Must have FAITH to be acceptable to Him.

Why??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Why David????

First Degree Murder.
Mercenary for Hire for Israel's Enemies.
War maker.
Adulterer.
Aiding and abetting Rape.
Poor Father.
Inattentive Father.
Not a Family Man.
Ruining the Life of his first wife.
Faking Insanity rather than fighting.
Putting to death the concubine sons of Saul.
Taking Concubines himself he set aside after his son slept with them.

Why would David be chosen by Father God to be the direct descendant of Jesus, His Son?

He genuinely repented when his sin was taught to him.

God required of David to be a slayer of men, even when he was a teenager. David was to be a warrior.

David was thrown into circumstances we can hardly relate to. And through all of this - he based his life on the belief -

GOD is GOD.

GOD speaks only Truth.

GOD is to be Obeyed.

GOD when believed, requires us to live towards what HE has told us to do.

GOD being who GOD really is, can be depended upon to give more Goodness than we even know exists. It is better to fall into the Hands of God than man.

David had to believe God when Saul died and the people voted for Saul's Concubine Sons.

David was willing to embrace the Children of God who had never supported him as their Spiritual Father and King.

Jesus knew all about Answered Prayer.

Consider Gethsemane. Jesus asked His Father to allow another direction. Jesus surely wanted this Sacrifice and yet said He was almost at death to consider what HE was to suffer.

Prayer is answered. We just have to see how difficult Prayer can be answered. Difficult upon the Father as He is one with Jesus Christ. Difficult for a Father who is Love and Loves all of His Creation.

Jesus said the unthinkable so many times.

Eat and Drink His Body.

He always Existed, even before Abraham.

Ask the Father for anything in the name of Jesus - and this will be done.

??? So where does this leave us with Prayer when we ask in the Name, the HIGHEST NAME of JESUS the LORD?

God has told us.
We have to believe when we pray.

God is who He says He is. God. The Maker, the Creator of all things. Of all of mankind.

His Promises are true.

And when we ask in the name of Jesus? This will be done - if we believe the Will of God should be done.

God never said HE was a magical doer of enchantments. God parted the Red Sea for His Children to Live. He did not fly them in His Hand to Israel. They had to grow their souls, their talents, to believe God and trust Him so much that after 40 years in the desert when the wall fell around Jericho they did not stay in the paradise portion of Israel, instead - today we can see the walls of Jericho fell as stated. Instead they believed they were called to do the Will of God.

And they did like David. Like Jesus the Christ, the Son of God - they did the WILL of God.

And Prayers were ... answered.

John 14:13
And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Abba,

Jesus has told us He lives with Joy even the night before His Sacrifice. You have told us that the fruit of the Holy Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Gentleness and Self Control. The Holy Spirit goes on in the New Testament to tell us of encouragement, dignity, believe in goodness, look for the Light of God in all of mankind.

We ask Abba, that Jesus would partner with us in Prayer just as the Bible living and active tells us in John 16 and 17.

We pray knowing the Love we have for our loved ones. That Your Love and care will be apparent to them in Your Steadfast Truth. You never leave nor forsake us.

We lift up the People You have given us to bless with understanding and ability to Do Your Good and Gracious Will.

We see the trouble of the world and ask that Your Holy Spirit increase for our Nation and all of the believing in Jesus hearts.

We ask for more of Your Gifts of Heaven to dwell easily on earth to bring forth Your Glory. We ask for more of The Holy Spirit to dwell in us and beside us. Speak the Word of God to us and we will be healed.

Abba, we Thank You for Your Forgiveness. We can never earn Your Salvation or Grace and want to again tell You completely and utterly - Thank You for Jesus. Amen.

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He has saved all who call upon His name and rely on Him for His Grace. The Scriptures are living & active and are for understanding the Lord Almighty. Biblical readings are chosen from the Ecumenical Christian Church and the Nicene Council, 325 A.D., approved Apocrypha. People remember not just from reading, but by sight and orally- an image has been added as well as audio readings. God tends to link the passages together with fascinates - this blogger, Anne-Laurel Gardere

A simple blog, scripture-for-today.blogspot

This blog is pretty simple, but for a reason. This blog isn't about agenda or me, it is for the joy and love to found by reading the Scriptures. Ultimately, it is you and the Lord.

The Scriptures are Father God's letter to you. He wanted you to know more, to know He loves you.

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
