Psalm 104 ~ Lord my God, You are very great

The Temple was Built For Jesus Christ the Lord

Psalm 104

1 Praise the Lord, my soul.

Lord my God, you are very great;
you are clothed with splendor and majesty.

2 The Lord wraps himself in light as with a garment;
he stretches out the heavens like a tent
3 and lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters.

He makes the clouds his chariot
and rides on the wings of the wind.
4 He makes winds his messengers,
flames of fire his servants.

5 He set the earth on its foundations;
it can never be moved.
6 You covered it with the watery depths as with a garment;
the waters stood above the mountains.

7 But at your rebuke the waters fled,
at the sound of your thunder they took to flight;
8 they flowed over the mountains,
they went down into the valleys,
to the place you assigned for them.

9 You set a boundary they cannot cross;
never again will they cover the earth.

10 He makes springs pour water into the ravines;
it flows between the mountains.
11 They give water to all the beasts of the field;
the wild donkeys quench their thirst.

12 The birds of the sky nest by the waters;
they sing among the branches.

13 He waters the mountains from his upper chambers;
the land is satisfied by the fruit of his work.

14 He makes grass grow for the cattle,
and plants for people to cultivate—
bringing forth food from the earth:
15 wine that gladdens human hearts,
oil to make their faces shine,
and bread that sustains their hearts.

16 The trees of the Lord are well watered,
the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.
17 There the birds make their nests;
the stork has its home in the junipers.
18 The high mountains belong to the wild goats;
the crags are a refuge for the hyrax.

19 He made the moon to mark the seasons,
and the sun knows when to go down.
20 You bring darkness, it becomes night,
and all the beasts of the forest prowl.
21 The lions roar for their prey
and seek their food from God.
22 The sun rises, and they steal away;
they return and lie down in their dens.
23 Then people go out to their work,
to their labor until evening.

 24 How many are your works, Lord!
In wisdom you made them all;
the earth is full of your creatures.
25 There is the sea, vast and spacious,
teeming with creatures beyond number—
living things both large and small.
26 There the ships go to and fro,
and Leviathan, which you formed to frolic there.

27 All creatures look to you
to give them their food at the proper time.
28 When you give it to them,
they gather it up;
when you open your hand,
they are satisfied with good things.
29 When you hide your face,
they are terrified;
when you take away their breath,
they die and return to the dust.
30 When you send your Spirit,
they are created,
and you renew the face of the ground.

31 May the glory of the Lord endure forever;
may the Lord rejoice in his works—
32 he who looks at the earth, and it trembles,
who touches the mountains, and they smoke.

33 I will sing to the Lord all my life;
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
34 May my meditation be pleasing to him,
as I rejoice in the Lord.
35 But may sinners vanish from the earth
and the wicked be no more.

Praise the Lord, my soul!

Praise the Lord!

Jeremiah arrived to tear down or build up?

Jeremiah 1:1-10

1 The words of Jeremiah, the son of Hilkiah, one of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin, 2 to whom the word of the Lord came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign. 3 It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, and until the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the captivity of Jerusalem in the fifth month.

4 Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
and before you were born I consecrated you;
I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

6 Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.”

But the Lord said to me,

“Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’;
for to all to whom I send you, you shall go,
and whatever I command you, you shall speak.
8 Do not be afraid of them,
for I am with you to deliver you,
declares the Lord.”

9 Then the Lord put out his hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me,

“Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.
10 See, I have set you this day over nations and over kingdoms,
to pluck up and to break down,
to destroy and to overthrow,
to build and to plant.”

No one would have ever have taken up the career of Jeremiah willingly.
Except...God - is the foundation of Jeremiah.
A man of God with a desire to please Father God - a message of a hope and a future.

Abraham also believed God and went traveling far from all he knew. Without a computer, a map or even a compass. He just went forth into the Plan of God. Abraham became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith. God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared for them a Kingdom of Jesus.

Hebrews 11
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2 For by it the people of old received their commendation. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.

32 And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets— 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. 35 Women received back their dead by resurrection. Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might rise again to a better life. 36 Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37 They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were killed with the sword. They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated— 38 of whom the world was not worthy—wandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

39 And all these, though commended through their faith, did not receive what was promised, 40 since
God had provided something better for us,
that apart from us
they should not be made perfect.

Father God,
Nothing in this life could be greater that Salvation.
You would have us to live with us where You Live, Move and Have Your Being.

Nothing we could ever do or say could ever repay the Gift of Jesus.

You opened up Your arms to us. And made the Victory.
You are Unblemished, Holy, Completely Loving.
You are Love.

Apart from You, Father God - we will not be made perfect.

I have seen my Grandmother Elliott in Heaven and I understand Thee
to fill us with the fulfillment of You, God. You, as Father, have wiped every tear from their eyes. No more death, mourning. crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. The dwelling place of mankind is with Father God.

My cup runneth over. Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, as I will pray for my loved ones and the people You have given me all my days in Expectation of You. You have willingly answered to Glory what my Grandmother Anita prayed for and shown her faith which in turn fed the next generations. Thank You.  I bless You and Thank You Father. All of mankind will bow and call upon You in Faith, You have said.

Dwell within us Father God and we will see more Heaven and Your Good will done upon this earth. Amen in Jesus.

1 Kings 21 ~ And the Word of the LORD came

So you have 6 boys all the time - you and your husband do Youth Ministry for 10 years. And one day, after you've moved to the Burbs - you find feed stores are interesting. They have things like horse halters and wallaby. Then you find all the boys want to go to the Feed Store every time you need Dog Food. And eventually, living on a 3-acre pond, you find out in March the feed store sells Ducklings. For some outrageous price - something like $5 per duckling.

Pretty soon.

Owen,  Babygirl, Sweet Pea (Rouen), SweetMamma and Father Drake (Rouen - named after a Priest who was always in an Ivy League Lovely looking vest and was a lovely, lovely man.)

You are going to the feed store more to get your domesticated pets - Deer Corn. And the kids pile in the car with you. At feeding times - names of the ducks are known - and all feed the ducks Deer Corn from their hands.

These are Hand Raised Domesticated Duck Pets.

And in the adventure - you learn a wounded duck will improve with the protein found in dried cat food - this floats on the water and will be gobbled up. Baby duck food looks like cat litter and definitely is not - baby duck food - sold at the Feed Store!!! And ducks who are very little do well with fortified human cereal in a pinch. Not white bread. Ducks abhor french fries as fake food. Hmm.

One fine day you and Dee are driving down the street - your sons are in 3rd grade and 6th grade and and and - you find the 5th grader on the next street has two PVC pipes and is killing your duck named Captain Sam. You jump from an almost moving car and apprehend the fiend, who is taking two sprinkler pipes to try to decapitate your very confused duck. The 5th grader is absolutely terrified to be apprehended by a very angry adult while trying to kill a small animal and being caught red-handed. The angry adult captures the 2 PVC pipes, promises their 'Mother Will Be Called and We Will See What Good Use the PVC Pipes will be put to and if the Duck dies' - the world is going to arrive to find out 'Why.' And I then proceed to jump in the car and rush off to a Diocesan Meeting of Laity. (Where, now, we are very surprised to realize the Bishop with vim and zest has just died in his mid-80s of old age. Time is astonishing.)

Returning home, (back in the day) taking deep breaths the Mother of said fiend is called. Astonishingly - - -  the Mother lies and defends every act of the child denying - all. Until the witness of the car is going to be produced. Utterly and completely - astonishing. My brother rings me and I tell him the whole story in panoramic detail with every grisly detail - saying, "And that's not all, it wasn't just the words of lying and denial by a parent, 'It was the way she said it." And as I pause to take a very heated breathe, my brother, the Assistant D.A., one of many in Dallas, says, "Right, right, right. Classic example of how to raise a criminal. See it all the time in the sentencing phase. You can stop convincing me now."

Enter the Biblical:

1 Kings 21

1 Now Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard in Jezreel, beside the palace of Ahab king of Samaria. 2 And after this Ahab said to Naboth, "Give me your vineyard, that I may have it for a vegetable garden, because it is near my house, and I will give you a better vineyard for it; or, if it seems good to you, I will give you its value in money." 3 But Naboth said to Ahab, "The LORD forbid that I should give you the inheritance of my fathers." 4 And Ahab went into his house vexed and sullen because of what Naboth the Jezreelite had said to him, for he had said, "I will not give you the inheritance of my fathers." And he lay down on his bed and turned away his face and would eat no food.

5 But Jezebel his wife came to him and said to him, "Why is your spirit so vexed that you eat no food?" 6 And he said to her, "Because I spoke to Naboth the Jezreelite and said to him, 'Give me your vineyard for money, or else, if it please you, I will give you another vineyard for it.' And he answered, 'I will not give you my vineyard.'" 7 And Jezebel his wife said to him, "Do you now govern Israel? Arise and eat bread and let your heart be cheerful; I will give you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite." 8 So she wrote letters in Ahab's name and sealed them with his seal, and she sent the letters to the elders and the leaders who lived with Naboth in his city.

 9 And she wrote in the letters, "Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth at the head of the people. 10 And set two worthless men opposite him, and let them bring a charge against him, saying, 'You have cursed God and the king.' Then take him out and stone him to death." 11 And the men of his city, the elders and the leaders who lived in his city, did as Jezebel had sent word to them. As it was written in the letters that she had sent to them, 12 they proclaimed a fast and set Naboth at the head of the people. 13 And the two worthless men came in and sat opposite him. And the worthless men brought a charge against Naboth in the presence of the people, saying, "Naboth cursed God and the king." So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death with stones. 14 Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, "Naboth has been stoned; he is dead." 15 As soon as Jezebel heard that Naboth had been stoned and was dead, Jezebel said to Ahab, "Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give you for money, for Naboth is not alive, but dead." 16 And as soon as Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, Ahab arose to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it.

17 Then the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, 18 "Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, who is in Samaria; behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, where he has gone to take possession. 19 And you shall say to him, 'Thus says the LORD, "Have you killed and also taken possession?"' And you shall say to him, 'Thus says the LORD: "In the place where dogs licked up the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick your own blood."'" 20 Ahab said to Elijah, "Have you found me, O my enemy?" He answered, "I have found you, because you have sold yourself to do what is evil in the sight of the LORD.

21 Behold, I will bring disaster upon you. I will utterly burn you up, and will cut off from Ahab every male, bond or free, in Israel. 22 And I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the anger to which you have provoked me, and because you have made Israel to sin. 23 And of Jezebel the LORD also said, 'The dogs shall eat Jezebel within the walls of Jezreel.' 24 Anyone belonging to Ahab who dies in the city the dogs shall eat, and anyone of his who dies in the open country the birds of the heavens shall eat."

25 (There was none who sold himself to do what was evil in the sight of the LORD like Ahab, whom Jezebel his wife incited. 26 He acted very abominably in going after idols, as the Amorites had done, whom the LORD cast out before the people of Israel.) 27 And when Ahab heard those words, he tore his clothes and put sackcloth on his flesh and fasted and lay in sackcloth and went about dejectedly. 28 And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, 29 "Have you seen how Ahab has humbled himself before me? Because he has humbled himself before me, I will not bring the disaster in his days; but in his son's days I will bring the disaster upon his house."

Making you realize -  The Word of the Lord is Mercy. Realizing -
the 5th grader fiend - is going to have the opportunity to be forgiven of God. And neighbors.

Ahab. Now we understand where this idea of privilege and entitlement comes from. "Our Dudley, Sugar-Sweetie, surely would never ever want a vineyard or to kill the duck with PVC Pipes." And when confronted with PVC pipes and the driver of the car witnesses - changes the words to - "Our Dudley, Sugar-Sweetie, was practicing stick waving and nowhere near the duck." Nunchucks? "Certainly." Certainly would kill a duck and weapons should be discouraged in the hands of 5th graders near domesticated pets. Dead pets bring the authorities. "Well - La Tea Da." And La tea da brings juv delinquency. Daddy is an attorney. Brother works for Federal Judge and is an Assistant DA. All PVC pipe is graciously said and shown, in time, to be removed from the home.

There is turning the other cheek and then there is community calling for standards of truth and mercy bringing peace to all.

We all bear responsibility in ethics. For a good reason. You don't want it to be your pet. You don't want it to be greater damage than a pet. Fortunately, we live in a time where people will speak up when gross injustice is done. I was told and found out the story of the Mother who would be so cruel as to raise her child to not have respect for others. And in mercy and truth, peace was found. Pets were saved. No harm came to other living beings. Don't duck out. Good Samaritans can be ducks. But don't duck out.

When we confront with honesty. When we are polite. When we are gracious and truthful. When all bear witness to the truth. Think of how far - we prevented harm. The child was then said to have been seen by the across-the-street-neighbor-additionally who said she would surely not want her child to be part of a group little boys, a naughty and wrongful death of a duck. The neighbor far down the street said this wasn't the first time and she spoke to the Mother of the PVC pipe 5th grader about honesty and the need to stop violence. The 5th grader was seen to become polite to adults. Making him a better grown up. Other pets were saved. And the mother realized that honesty is required in communities. The child and the child across the street had conversations about behavior and friendship. New Standards were obtained. Harm was avoided to other children.

The Good Samaritan is created by people who are gracious and honest. Allowing the child not to be subject to glares. Allowing the mother the time and dignity to respect others and be respected.

A team is established with compassion. And all rejoice.

For the saints of God are folk just like me,
And I mean to be one too.

Matthew 8:5-13 ~ Appealing to Him +†+

Capernaum - entering by hike. There is a 40 mile Hike called the Jesus Trail. I am sure Jesus has traveled the Universe calling the Stars by Name and all of the Heavenly Host.

Matthew 8:5-13

5 When he had entered Capernaum, a centurion came forward to him, appealing to him,  “Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, suffering terribly.”

7 And he said to him, “I will come and heal him.”

8 But the centurion replied, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, but only say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I too am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes, and to my servant,  ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

10 When Jesus heard this, he marveled and said to those who followed him, “Truly, I tell you, with no one in Israel[ have I found such faith. 11 I tell you, many will come from east and west and recline at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, 12 while the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

13 And to the centurion Jesus said, “Go; let it be done for you as you have believed.” And the servant was healed at that very moment.

1 John 5

5 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him.

2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. 4 For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

6 This is he who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not by the water only but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three agree.

9 If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has borne concerning his Son. 10 Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. 11 And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. 14 And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.

16 If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God[a] will give him life—to those who commit sins that do not lead to death. There is sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for that. 17 All wrongdoing is sin, but there is sin that does not lead to death.

18 We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him.

19 We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. 21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols.

New Letter Read from the Dead Sea Scrolls 2018

Examine in great detail. Today - The Dead Sea Scroll may have only one more letter to be pieced together.  Yet using Nasa technology - we have a new letter from the Dead Sea Scrolls. Fragments previously unplaced are also worked in to their source.  The new letter tells of Temple festivals and seasons were determined back to Moses by looking at creation. The moon and the stars told the time interpreted by the High Priest. The Essenes used a 364-day Calendar and the date was always the same. What would be better? Easter follows the exact way Passover is determined by the moon and the stars of God's system put in place in His Creation,. And Christmas and other holidays are the same time every year.

Using Nasa technology, the Israel Antiquities Authority has been able to analyse dozens of fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls to discover “traces of ink on many fragments that appeared blank to the naked eye.”

The newly discovered texts have been identified as belonging to the books of Deuteronomy, Leviticus, and Jubilees, also known as the Lesser Genesis. Psalm 147.

Fragments have also been discovered from The Temple Scroll, the longest of all the Dead Sea Scrolls and gives information on how to properly conduct Temple services.

God, evidently, favors both systems  - of finding days for Holy Festivities - and Nasa with combined efforts of the Israel Antiquities Authority.

Mercy interests God most.

Luke 7

Is found in the National and University Library. 2677 Strasbourg France about 400 A.D. Unfortunately, the Library does not display a photo of Papyrus 82. The Papyrus is part of system of Papyrus connecting the idea of the way our worship is put together in the Traditional Liturgy. Amazing the way we all tie in together in history, in life and in the Body of Christ. Encourage each other to display the Glories of God to the public.

7 When Jesus had finished saying all this to the people who were listening, he entered Capernaum. 2 There a centurion’s servant, whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die. 3 The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant. 4 When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him, “This man deserves to have you do this, 5 because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue.” 6 So Jesus went with them.

1 John 1:7
Walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Leviticus 17:11
For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.

The Spirit of God displays His Willingness to participate in the healing of the Centurion's Servant.

Jesus comments on some things we tend to brush off.

There is a balance going on in these two passages.

Jesus is fully telling us - some situations do not win. Some souls are not going to Rise up to the Goodness of Jesus. Prayer does not fully rest on our faith efforts. We are relieved of being God and feeling we failed. Luke 7 compliments Matthew 8 - the Centurion is seen to have works to show his inner soul. We can be sure - being part of the Roman Army would have times when Pontius Pilate calls for obedience in violent acts ultimately causing Pilate to be fired. There is a mess in life. Requiring God to have to be Alive and Working. To be involved in Salvation. To ask us to participate in our salvation and the small efforts of dust in the wind humanity. We are sometimes said to be the hands and feet of God - I don't think we are all the hands and feet of Salvation - when Jesus is God and is the entire culmination of Salvation. The Good Samaritan is our efforts. Salvation is a gift of God.

What is the Centurion, and those around him, creating - a meaningful life pleasing to God. Not shirking what God has put in our path - to reach up to Jesus - to join together and with Jesus.

God is telling us the balance. Faith, works, His Blood. His Spirit.

The Healing would occur in the blood - Life is found in the blood. The Blood of Jesus willing to be present. Water - Living Water - willing to go where Father God would have the Living Water. Water is known to follow the course water wants to take. Nurturing and soaking.

Psalm 130

1 Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD!

2 O Lord, hear my voice!

Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy!

3 If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? 4 But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared.

5 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; 6 my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.

7 O Israel, hope in the LORD! For with the LORD there is steadfast love,
and with him is plentiful redemption.
8 And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

That... that... that is
An Awesome and Worthy God.

Willing to be in the depths of humanity. Able to bring us up to the Glory of God Almighty. Ancient of Days. Redeemer of mankind in giving us His Only Son. Jesus.
,

John records thinking about the miracles of Jesus for quite some time. Going into the details of Jesus to see where God's Willingness Lives, Works and Acts. John is giving us decades of his life - considering his eyewitness of Jesus.

Capernaum

The miracle involves Jesus doing what God Himself has done for Abraham. Abraham asked God for Mercy for others in acts like of sin. The Kidnapping of Lot. Immediately we are shown God will move to Mercy in Prayer.

We have complete assurance God Himself left his motive, that day, to be for the Children of Israel to give Life. God puts aside His Daily Planner to be Merciful.

Also giving us the assurance to know we are not God. God, Himself, will decide where He puts His Spirit. We are told in both passages - some will not rise to God's Goodness. And then we are assured God will go where we wouldn't assume God would dwell. God decides. And we can be very pleased with His Will. And when. really, we are not - we are welcome to explain to God why this is just, reasonable, filled with mercy - our prayer requests. God allows Jesus to give us the analogy - God is an unjust Judge. This is indeed, indeed, indeed the elevator God takes dooooown to us to have us understand God. (Lately, we have been unable to create our own DNA molecules.)

The Comfort of God - somethings are not winnable. We should not despair.

Always Pray with Hope. God is Working.

Today - the view from John's Cave on Patmos

Abba, Holy Father,

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. We ask Your Willing Blessings.

God our Father, in Jesus, fill us with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit we may abound in hope.

The Kingdom of God is of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Aren't we Glad to know. Rejoicing in Life we know can only be explained as a Miracle - the reason we Hope and Lean and Dwell and Yearn for God. Knowing, knowing, knowing - God is Alive and working for us and for others. We want to know Daily - the Works and Miracles of God.

Thank You God. Thank You God. Thank You Father - for giving us the working knowledge - You are Working. Today. Thank You for Dee's Miracle. Thank You for Edward's eyesight. Thank You for my headaches being gone.

These things You have spoken to us, that our joy may be in You, and that our joy may be full.

Abba, David always took time to Hope in Your Mercy.

So we will rest for ourselves, for the ones we Love, the People You give us. Rest believing Your Goodness for our Nation. The Nations trusting in You. And all Believers asking in the Name of Jesus.

Thank You God for Today. We always have the choice exactly like Alzheimer's patients' children. Life or Death. We can be glad for the joys the parent has. Rejoice with them or mourn for normalcy and yesterday. In Rejoicing - we have Hope. And Joy. In the fruitless yearning of time past - we have only loss and hurt.

Thank You for Today. We will be the Easter People seeing and looking for what is good and noble in today.

Jesus is God.

Amen.

Matthew 6:6-13 ~ Our Father

Prayer is spontaneous

Psalm 68: 19, 32-35

19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation. Selah

32 O kingdoms of the earth, sing to God; sing praises to the Lord, Selah 33 to him who rides in the heavens, the ancient heavens; behold, he sends out his voice, his mighty voice.

34 Ascribe power to God, whose majesty is over Israel, and whose power is in the skies. 35 Awesome is God from his sanctuary; the God of Israel--he is the one who gives power and strength to his people. Blessed be God!

Prayer is our ongoing God conversation

1662 Anglican

Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name;
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done
in earth, as it is in heaven:
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive them that trespass against us;
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil:
(When before the Collect the priest alone recites the prayer, the people here respond: Amen.
When after all have communicated the people repeat each petition after the priest, the prayer ends)
For thine is the kingdom,
the power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.
Amen.

We all have a time when something positive came out of "a learning opportunity". One of the interesting things about the Lord's Prayer:

Matthew 6:6-13

6 But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

7 “And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. 9 Pray then like this:

“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
10 Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread,
12 and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Right before the Lord tells us to honor the Father, ask for God's will, ask for daily provisions, forgive us our sins, asked for forgiveness for the ones who hurt us, lead in safe paths, deliver us from evil...... He tells us not to offer up empty phrases. We all know the Lord's prayer, but He isn't asking for us to assume any particular type of position to pray. Father God does indeed ask for a sincere and open Heart, Mind, Soul to God as God, Father and Almighty. He isn't asking us to recite. He is asking for a conversation.

Psalm 68, the whole thing, like many Chapters, is about the Lord's Prayer. It's about a time when something looked grim, but the Light shone. It's about the hassle to gather the family together. This is lovely. It's feeling bitter over a hurt and realizing it doesn't matter. It's realizing we have flaws and we want to be forgiven, not only to the Lord. It's taking time to realize the beauty around you. It's the joy in knowing it is a gift.

It's realizing when we don't take time to really count and appreciate our blessings, they fly past us without the joy. It's when life is so rough, to have hope. It's when hurt becomes a prayer for the loved one. Trusting in God.

Father God, help our prayers be fruitful. Let our conversation about joy, need, praise. Let it be humble, let it be uplifting. Thank you Father, You incline your ear whenever we call upon You. Heal the hurting, uplift the families. Send Your vast blessings. Father God, You are truly are as vast as the Universe itself and as gentle as a breeze. Speak the Word, Father God, and we know Your healing. Praise Your gift of life in Jesus. Amen.

We thank You for being with us as we pray over the news.

And

Father God
We ask Your Gracious Mercy and Thank You You end all problems as Your Word Says. We Believe You.

Thank You for seeing recent prayers of community answered. Health Restored and miraculous ways.

Thank You for protecting my dog from the water moccasin near the pond.

The line at the gas station where it jumbled up and one man pointed at me and correctly said - started with her. Being handed a "God of Encouragement and Good News" pamphlet at the door by another man holding the door open to passersby-ers. Ain't that America something to see!!! Gentlemen going through a crowded Gas station making sure they politely hold doors for ladies - nodding as to say, "Yes I was raised to be courteous."

Hearing people say "I'm so sorry to hear that." With empathy.

Listening to local radio stations because the cell phone has to be charged - All Things Work Together for Good. The Local Christianity explained.

Thank You for helping me avoid 3 car accidents and an 8 hour car trip with an elderly parent. With Pneumonia Recovery and some Dementia. And my family preparing the kitchen clean up and study/bedroom set up with emotional support. Amen Jesus God. Amen and Amen

About scripture-for-today.blogspot.com/

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He has saved all who call upon His name and rely on Him for His Grace. The Scriptures are living & active and are for understanding the Lord Almighty. Biblical readings are chosen from the Ecumenical Christian Church and the Nicene Council, 325 A.D., approved Apocrypha. People remember not just from reading, but by sight and orally- an image has been added as well as audio readings. God tends to link the passages together with fascinates - this blogger, Anne-Laurel Gardere

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
