Isaiah 40:3-5 ~ Glory of the Lord will be revealed

Isaiah 40:3-5

A Voice of One Calling: 

“Prepare the way for the LORD in the wilderness; 

make a straight highway 

for our God 

in the desert.

Every valley shall be lifted up, 

and every mountain and hill made low;

 the uneven ground will become smooth, 

and the rugged land a plain.

And the Glory of the LORD will be revealed.”

When the Lord tells us to pray for more of His Good Will on earth as in Heaven, why don't we have more of this? Largely, this depends upon where we put our hopes and our gaze. What we would do to have. To hold on to. Leads us to God and a higher set of expectations. Or slumps us down into a darker spiral. 

With Love, Hope and Faith, our valley will be lifted.  The mountain of impossible will be made smooth and a way, truth and Life. 

The Ten Talents Parable tells us, those who love the Lord expect His Goodness, within what is written of Him. Not departing from His Word. Those who do not like the Lord do not put their hopes in Him.

The Voice of the Lord is recorded in His Word in many ways:

Exodus 20

18 Now when all the people saw the thunder and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, the people were afraid and trembled, and they stood far off  and said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let God speak to us, lest we die.” 

20 Moses said to the people, “Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of Him may be before you, that you may not sin.” 21 The people stood far off, while Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.

And then, we find Elijah going through a National upheaval, a personal death threat, a fire, an earthquake and a time of depression.  And then in the quiet of doldrums and weakness, the still, quiet, Voice of God. To hold on. Leading us to God and a higher set of expectations.

With Love, Hope and Faith, our valley will be lifted.  The mountain of impossible will be made smooth and a way, truth and Life. 

   1 Kings 19:11-13

"And He said, 'Go out and stand on the mount before the Lord.' And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire a still small voice."

Let's put an example out there, for memory recall. 

Let's say the example's name is Peanut Butter Sandwich. 

But that's a lot to type, so let's call this PBS.  

And PBS has a friend, not on his block, more a national friend, and his name is Cincinnati Nu Nu. That's a lot to type, so let's call PBS's friend CNN.  Now, PBS's friend has been through Fire. In Atlanta. 

This season is called: Peacefulprotest, Peacefulprotest, Peacefulprotest,Peacefulprotest, Peacefulprotest,

Now that's a lot to type, so let's call this the season of ... "Butter Sandwiches."   

And let's not confuse Peanut Butter Sandwich with ... Butter Sandwiches.

Where would this Season of "Butter Sandwiches" live? 

Next door to "Sharp as a Tack."

Abba, Father,

GOD BLESS US

Let evil and practicing evil

from us

and our children.

With Your Help

We will act justly

 and to love mercy

 and to walk humbly with You, our God.

Dwell in me,

Dwell in us,

Dwell in those we Love,

Help us to seek You first.

And we will finish well, 

in Jesus Christ. 

Help us find and bring

to become

 more Heaven

to this earth.

And in Jesus - this Hope, 

Faith and Love - we will rise up believing Jesus.
