Proverbs 4:20 ~ Incline

Proverbs 4:20

My son, give attention to My Words;

            Incline your ear to my sayings.       

 

         21 Do not let them depart from your sight;

            Keep them in the midst of your heart.

        22 For they are life 

to those who find Them

            And health to all their body.

23 Watch over your heart 

with all diligence,

For from it flow the springs of life.

        24 Put away from you a deceitful mouth

            And put devious speech far from you.

        25 Let your eyes look directly ahead

            And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you.

Matthew 7:24-28

Therefore everyone who hears these Words of Mine 

and 

puts them into practice 

is like a wise man 

who built his house 

on the Rock. 

25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house;

 yet it did not fall, 

because it had its foundation 

on the Rock. 

26 But everyone who hears these Words of Mine 

and 

does not put them into practice 

is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.

The rain came down, the streams rose, 

and the winds blew and beat against that house, 

and it fell with a great crash.

28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, 

the crowds were amazed 

at His Teaching, 

because 

He taught as One Who had authority, 

and 

not as their teachers of the law.

We have seen too many houses crushed in the last few years.  Weather. Hopes. Gift stores. Weddings. Young people divorcing. Old people divorces.  College costs, removing education. Debt. 

And, still, those with hope endure. The Hope God loves us, hears us and helps us. 

We tend to have an aspect of apples. What barrel will we put ourselves into? Soft and rotting.  Chilly and like flint.  When we expect dishonesty, people tend to jump in. And in this, begin to fall apart. 

And really the human heart, filled with Light. The Light of God hopes for the Shelter of Love. We have to look for Heaven to see God. Daily. We have to be Heaven to please the Lord and find a Shelter of Love. 

We have to walk with Jesus and look straight ahead. Believing He rewards those who Believe Him and His Word and Promises.

As North Carolina, begins to pull together, we want them to have the staying power. To be able, in the next 2 years, to see a real life in their hearts and comforts.  We don't want this just for the people who have suffered for so long in Hurricanes, we want the entire Nation to have a Shelter of Love.  To be the best they can be. Not soft and rotting apples, holding on to what leaves us empty and unfulfilled.  Merely allowing rot around us. 

We want the Road to be Meaningful. The Journey seeing Heaven daily. 

The gifts of God make us all unique. No one should be pressed into one cookie cutter. We want all of our gifts of God to help us to Shine for the upbuilding of All. 

Micah 6:8

He has told you, 

O man, what is good

And what does the Lord require of you

But to do justice with mercy,

 and 

to love kindness, 

and 

to walk humbly with your God

If this life is to determine our soul's talents to Father God, we bring Him our soul. 

God made us in His image to create. Everything we should do is inspired by Father God.

And if we read God's Letters to us as uniquely personal; We believe Jesus gave His life for me by opening His Arms on the Cross for me. Then we believe, the Bible is written for me.

 



What would Father God tell me specifically to do?

Zechariah 8:16

These are the things that you shall do: 

Speak the truth to one another.

Hope and Love your family, your children.

Jesus in the Center.  Pray, knowing so many pray with you.  Your Prayers join many, even as you pray quietly in your soul.  The Scriptures call this the cloud of witnesses.

Hebrews 12:1-2

12 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses,

 let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, 

and 

let us run with endurance the race that is set before us

Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, 

Who for the joy that was set before Him 

endured the cross,

 despising the shame, 

and 

is 

seated at the Right Hand 

of The Throne of God.

We pray for those we Love. We are a Child of God.  He sees us as we are.  God loves us to pray for those we love.

and

With Your Help

We will act justly

 and to love mercy

 and to walk humbly with You, our God.

Dwell in me,

Dwell in us,

Dwell in those we Love,

Help us to seek You first.

And we will finish well, 

in Jesus Christ. 

Help us find and bring

to become

 more Heaven

to this earth.

And in Jesus - this Hope, 

Faith and Love - we will rise up believing Jesus.
