Overcoming

Today we are asking prayer for Erica, 15 years old. It is a prayer and optional fasting day to pray for Erica to have good health.

Prayer has come in from all over the country and Scripture has been sent by email. I was blessed by this and thought you might be too:

I know this one by heart, but couldn’t remember where it was located – finally found it. Will you pass it along to Erica for me. I prayed this verse a thousand times when I felt so alone.

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8


Another one I keep in my bible is “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

Thank you for sending all the scriptures. You have taken a day without direction other than to pray and fast and are truly channeling our efforts.

12/29/09 Update on Erica, she is progressing really well. Erica has discovered how much Jesus loves her and we are continuing to pray with her for good health. Thanks very much for continuing to pray for Erica.
