12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and uphold me with a willing spirit.
and uphold me with a willing spirit.
13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
and sinners will return to you.
14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God,
O God of my salvation,
and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness.
15 O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare your praise.
16 For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it;
you will not be pleased with a burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
and sinners will return to you.
14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God,
O God of my salvation,
and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness.
15 O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare your praise.
16 For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it;
you will not be pleased with a burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
When we believe Jesus is the reason for the season, we are given the gift of forgiveness and reconciliation. What greater gift could there be?
God chose not to be a Spirit we would chase after and debate. God chose to come to us, to live the human condition. God chose to be as close as our prayer. To have lived, Himself, joy and sorrow on this earth.
1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus
Hebrews 12:24 ~ (New Living Translation)
You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel.
John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
9 The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. 11 He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. 12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
16 And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.
Jesus said, "I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture."
Today, Father God, we pray the prayer You have given us in Revelation 3:20
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
Here I am, Father God, the person You have created. I stand at Your door. Hear my voice Father God, open the door of the soul You created, come live in me, eat with me and be with me. In the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, I ask.
Romans 10:13
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
