Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel, 'I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage. I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.
Exodus 14:21
Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD swept the sea back by a strong east wind all night and turned the sea into dry land, so the waters were divided.
Exodus 15:8
By the blast of your breath the waters piled up. The surging waters stood up like a wall; the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea.
Exodus 20:1-24
1 And God spoke all these words,
saying,
2 "I am the LORD your God,
who brought you out of the land of Egypt,
out of the house of slavery.
3 "You shall have no other gods before me. 4 "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments. 7 "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
8 "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
12 "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you. 13 "You shall not murder. 14 "You shall not commit adultery. 15 "You shall not steal. 16 "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. 17 "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's."
18 Now when all the people saw the thunder and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, the people were afraid and trembled, and they stood far off 19 and said to Moses, "You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let God speak to us, lest we die."
20 Moses said to the people, "Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you, that you may not sin." 21 The people stood far off, while Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.
22 And the LORD said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the people of Israel: 'You have seen for yourselves that I have talked with you from heaven. 23 You shall not make gods of silver to be with me, nor shall you make for yourselves gods of gold. 24 An altar of earth you shall make for me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen. In every place where I cause my name to be remembered, I will come to you and bless you.
This is part of the Bible we all are familiar with.
God begins His Word with Creation and soon the Children of God have Exodus. Creation to Exodus. God is not subtle.
And then again - Jesus took the deaf man aside from the crowds. He explained, so a deaf man would understand.
Mark 7:31-
31 Then he returned from the region of Tyre and went through Sidon to the Sea of Galilee, in the region of the Decapolis. 32 And they brought to him a man who was deaf and had a speech impediment, and they begged him to lay his hand on him. 33 And taking him aside from the crowd privately, he put his fingers into his ears, and after spitting touched his tongue. 34 And looking up to heaven, he sighed and said to him, “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened.” 35 And his ears were opened, his tongue was released, and he spoke plainly.
1 Kings 19:12
After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.
The whole of the subtle passage is this:
11 So He said, "Go forth and stand on the mountain before the LORD." And behold, the LORD was passing by! And a great and strong wind was rending the mountains and breaking in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. 12 After the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of a gentle blowing. 13 When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. And behold, a voice came to him and said
The words include : So - behold - great strong - after - wind - earthquake - fire - gentle blowing - a voice of God came to Elijah
We are told of the Great Strength of Father God.
Father and Almighty God Creator of All Things. Maker of the Heavens and of the earth. Father of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. His Desire is to save the world in Jesus Christ.
Father God's elevator is going to have to press the down button and wait quite a long time to meet us eye to eye. And Our God arrives to be mercy and grace upon grace.
Where is the gentle whisper here?
Matthew 10:29
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.
Ezekiel 1:10
Their faces looked like this: Each of the four had the face of a human being, and on the right side each had the face of a lion,
and on the left the face of an ox; each also had the face of an eagle.
Revelation 4:7
The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle.
The Old Testament God of yesterday, today and tomorrow:
Deuteronomy 25:4
Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.
1 Timothy 5:18
For Scripture says, "Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain," and "The worker deserves his wages."
Proverbs 12:10
Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.
Right before mankind was created:
Genesis 1
24 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind"; and it was so. 25 God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
A Test. Verse appropriately in Exodus 20:20. Probably not a mere coincidence.
The Sacrifice of an Oxen is not a small thing. Blood will flow. The Sacrifice is meant to cause repentance. The Oxen is meant to be missed and mourned. Sacrifice.
Isaiah 55
8"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD. 9"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.
10"For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater,."
Process. Just like the display of time in the process of the Prodigal Son.
Abba, Holy and Good Father,
2 Timothy 2:22
Pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
2 Samuel 12
The poor man had nothing but one little ewe lamb, which he had bought. And he brought it up, and it grew up with him and with his children. It used to eat of his morsel and drink from his cup and lie in his arms, and it was like a daughter to him.
Tenderly like Jesus.
John 8
When they heard it, they went away one by one, beginning with the older ones, and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him. 10 Jesus stood up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.”
Father, who would dare to add another Commandment to Your Word?
Our Lord God - Jesus Son of God.
John 13:34
"A new command I give you: Love one another.
As I have loved you, so you must love one another."
Abba, fill us with Love. We Pray for those we Love. The people You have given us. The Nation. The Believers of today. The Believers of Tomorrow.
1 John 3
18 Little children, let us love not in word and speech, but in action and truth.
19 And by this we will know that we belong to the truth, and will assure our hearts in His presence
Love - You are able to do more than we ask or imagine. More Heaven on earth. Your will be done in Jesus Christ.
Amen.
