Matthew 2:14
14 And he rose and took the child and his mother by night and departed to Egypt 15 and remained there until the death of Herod. This was to fulfill what the Lord had Spoken by the prophet, “Out of Egypt I called my son.”
2 John
1 The elder to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth, and not only I, but also all who know the truth, 2 because of the truth that abides in us and will be with us forever:
3 Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ the Father's Son, in truth and love.
4 I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as we were commanded by the Father.
5 And now I ask you, dear lady—not as though I were writing you a new commandment, but the one we have had from the beginning—that we love one another.
6 And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments; this is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, so that you should walk in it. 7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist.
8 Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward. 9 Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God.
Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, 11 for whoever greets him takes part in his wicked works.
12 Though I have much to write to you, I would rather not use paper and ink. Instead I hope to come to you and talk face to face, so that our joy may be complete.
13 The children of your elect sister greet you.
We know Mary had a sister. And they were family.
John 19:25
Standing by the cross of Jesus
were His Mother
and His Mother's Sister, Mary the wife of Clopas,
and Mary Magdalene.
also mention that Jesus had sisters,
though they are not named.
It is assumed that when Constantine was sent to Bethlehem,
the great nephew descendants of Jesus were included in this list.
Mark 7:31-37
Then Jesus left the vicinity of Tyre and went through Sidon,
down to the Sea of Galilee and into the region of the Decapolis.
32 There some people brought to Him a man who was deaf and could hardly talk, and they begged Jesus to place His Hand on him.
33 After He took him aside,
away from the crowd,
Jesus put His Fingers into the man's ears.
Then He spit and touched the man's tongue.
34 He looked up to Heaven and with a deep sigh said to him, "Ephphatha!" (which means "Be opened!"). 3
5 At this, the man's ears were opened,
his tongue was loosened
and
he began to speak plainly.
The reason we have Lent, Jesus makes a path. The way, the truth and the Life.
It must have been terrifying to walk
through the Red Sea.
And yet, for the whole of the Exodus
God was with them.
Lent,
Emmanuel
God with us.
Mary and Joseph
must have worried to be going to Egypt.
God was with them.
Lent is not the most
comfortable
times.
God is with us.
Nazareth would
see
God
was
their Help,
Helper,
Comfort,
Comforter.
Jesus has said
Days will come
Mt Tabor
Valley of Jezreel
Mark 6
He went away from there and came to His hometown, and His Disciples followed Him.
And on the Sabbath
He began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard Him were astonished, saying, “Where did this Man get these things? What is the wisdom given to Him? How are such mighty works done by His Hands? 3 Is not this the carpenter, the Son of Mary and brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?”

How are such mighty works done by His Hands?
The city of Nazareth asked a question. And the persistence of Jesus is an important aspect of our Jesus and His Gospels. This is a defining question today regarding the Life of Jesus. Jesus had options. John 12 records the Jewish Dispersion in Greece wanted Jesus to escape Herod and come with them to Greece. Jesus declined, even, to meet them. Jesus asked in the Garden of Gethsemane to allow God to change His Plans. And Jesus bowed to His Father's Will. Jesus knew He could call 12 Legions of Angels. More than the 1.5 stationed in Judea and Syria of the Roman garrisoned army.
How are such mighty works done by His Hands?
Matthew 19:26
Jesus looked at them and said,
“With man it is impossible, but not with God.
For all things
are possible
with God.”
Matthew 17:20
“Truly I tell you,
if you have faith
as small as a mustard seed,
you can say to this mountain,
'Move from here to there,'
and it will move.
Nothing will be impossible for you.
Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewal of your mind,
that by testing
you may discern what is the will of God,
what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Our Father, Abba,
We cover all our needs with “Jesus.”
And Your Words to us.
Our Father, Who is in Heaven,
Holy is Your Name
Your Kingdom comes
We want Your will to be done
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day,
our Daily Living Bread.
Forgive us our sin,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation.
Deliver us from evil.
As John saw,
For thine is the Kingdom,
thine is the Power,
thine is the Glory.
Forever and ever.
In Jesus' Name, we pray.
Amen.
