Psalm 116 ~ I love The Lord

Psalm 116

I love The Lord

Because He has heard
my voice and my pleas for mercy.

He heard my cry for mercy.
2 Because He turned His ear to me,
I will call on Him as long as I live.

3 The cords of death entangled me,
the anguish of the grave came upon me;
I was overcome by trouble and sorrow.

4 Then I called on the name of the LORD:
"O LORD, save me!"

5 The LORD is gracious and righteous;
our God is full of compassion.
6 The LORD protects the simple hearted;
when I was in great need,
He saved me.

7 Be at rest once more, O my soul,
for the LORD has been good to you.

8 For you, O LORD, have delivered my soul from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling,
9 that I may walk before the LORD
in the land of the living.

I believed; therefore I said, "I am greatly afflicted."
11 And in my dismay I said, "All men are liars."

12 How can I repay the LORD for all His goodness to me?

13 I will lift up the cup of salvation
and call on the name of the LORD.

14 I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all His people.
15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.

16 O LORD, truly I am your servant;
I am your servant, the son of your maidservant;
You have freed me from my chains.
17 I will sacrifice a thank offering to You
and call on the name of the LORD.

18 I will fulfill my vows to the LORD
in the presence of all his people,
19 in the courts of the house of the LORD
-- in your midst, O Jerusalem.
Praise the LORD.

This week is Corpus Christi, a Catholic feast. One our Nicene Creed prays that, The Holy Roman Catholic Church, we may all be one. Rather new to me, I found this on Social Media. I grew up in Episcopalian Parochial Schools and don't remember much about Corpus Christi, the Feast held every year on the second Thursday after Pentecost.

With so much division in the world, it was rather thrilling to read this, today, in the Anglican Church of Canada Daily Online Lectionary, adaption of the Revised Common Lectionary:

"Corpus Christi is not officially observed in the Anglican Church of Canada's calendar. However, many parishes do keep this celebration, and this feast has always been included in McCausland's. To reflect this, the option for Corpus Christi will always be listed second. There is usually only one Eucharist for Corpus Christi and it should be kept, like Maundy Thursday, on Thursday evening. There is a set of readings for the first evening prayer of Corpus Christ."

Continuing on:

"Maundy Thursday makes it difficult for many to wholeheartedly celebrate the institution of the Eucharist on Maundy Thursday.

Attempting to do so with white hangings and vestments, bells, and the Gloria makes it difficult not to interrupt the tone of Holy Week by this anticipation of the liturgical announcement of the Resurrection on Saturday night at the Great Vigil. Thus, it has become more common to observe Maundy Thursday in a more restrained way with red hangings and vestments, the exclusion of bells, and the Gloria.

Therefore, the first Thursday after the season of Easter allows a fuller celebration of the centrality of the Eucharist in the life of the church. Although Corpus Christi is not in the Canadian Calendar, it is observed in a number of places in the Anglican Communion and The Church of England's Common Worship."

Now, if I speak with the tongues and men and angels... when I came to the point, brothers and sisters, I did not come proclaiming the mystery of God to you in lofty words or wisdom....

And to explain this in an orderly manner, The Feast of Corpus Christi is about the Death of Jesus Christ, opening His arms willingly to the whole world. The whole world. All.

Revelation 4:11

“Worthy are you, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for You created
ALL
 things,
and
by Your Will
they existed
and
were created.”

This is a celebration of the Eucharist. The Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. This is a celebration of Transubstantiation. Yes, I went to Episcopalian Parochial School. This part, I remember well. My step-grandfather, Reverend William Tate Young, wrote a Book about the importance of Hope in the Eucharist.

Why should we honor something the Christian Church has practiced since Matthias was first mentioned in The Acts of the Apostles, Chapter 1?  Only one reason.  Never deny hope in Jesus. Never deny the bruised reed, leaping ahead in faith. He is the dot and iota of fulfilling All in All.

Hebrews 11:6

And without faith it is impossible to please Him,
for he who comes to God
must believe that He is
and that
He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

He has the whole world
in
His Hands

Today
if
you hear His Voice.
Today.

My thanks to Edward, who took this photo today
and shared it with me.

The Glory of God
is All HIS.

Father God, He has an idea how He will greet you.

Abba, Father God,

Help our prayers be fruitful.
Let our conversation about joy, need, praise.

Heal the hurting,
uplift the families.
Especially in High Water.

Send Your vast blessings. Father God, we pray,
Speak the Word, Father God,
and we know Your healing.

Prayers are being answered. Thank You.

Dwell in us, Father.
Help the ones we Love to have You dwelling in them.
Help us to Seek You First.
And we will finish well in Jesus Christ.

We pray for those facing
difficult days
and for the entire Nation.

Worldwide Peace.

Praise Your gift of life in Jesus.
Amen.

Psalm 23:5b-6 ~ Goodness and mercy shall follow me

Psalm 23:5b-6

My cup overflows.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell
in the
House of the Lord
forever.

Recently, we were thinking about Jesus Christ as Living Water.

King David did not look like mercy all of his days. In fact, we are all in this same boat. And rely, as David did, for God's Mercy. The challenge we will never attain is to look like Jesus. We know no one who does. But David expected God, in His Steadfast Love, Mercy and Promises to call us His Beloved. When we ask The Lord with all our genuine souls, hearts and minds to restore us to the Joy of His Salvation. To uphold us. With His Willing Spirit.

We can surely believe in God's Willingness and Love.  His Mercy.

And in His Plan and Path to Unite All Things, to create opportunities for us to walk away from what is concerning, evil, mean, unpleasant, crude and or unhappy - to find He has changed the atmosphere to become leaving footprints of goodness and mercy.

To have peace within us.

God does not jump into Leper Colonies and ask what they did.  Jesus does not tell the blind man, he brought blindness upon himself.  Jesus does not tell the man by the Pool of Bethesda, thanks for the glorious opportunity to go past the stodgy 38-year pool sitting to rock the Temple Officials.  Instead, He is the God of Love who heals Aaron knowing Aaron, the High Priest, will make a mess. He is the God of Encouragement who encourages the man sitting uselessly by the Pool of Bethesda, to want and ask to be healed within His Holy Spirit. Knowing his perfidies.

To have peace within us. We will all live in circumstances beyond our control, and when we present ourselves sincerely to God, He is not going to ask why we didn't listen to Christian Radio non-stop. He is not going to ask about the year we didn't go to Church. And in need, He will send Love and Mercy into a Last Rites situation.

Instead, The Lord says be in the world, just not of the world. The world does not like to ask help, from a God who says Faith is invisible. The Lord says Love Sincerely. He knows we all fall short of His Glory.

To have peace within us. His Living Water, washing away the hurts, reminding us of the Father of the prodigal son, running to renew and reestablish, to shelter, to Love.

The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof.

Isaiah 40:31

They who wait for the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint.

Romans 12:2

Do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewal of your mind,
that by testing you may discern what is the will of God,
what is good and acceptable and perfect.

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
he is a new creation.
The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

Psalm 51:10

Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a right spirit within me.

Ephesians 4:23

And to be renewed in the spirit of your mind

Acts 3:19

Repent therefore, and turn back,
that your sins may be blotted out

Psalm 51:12

Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and uphold me with a willing spirit.

2 Corinthians 4:16

So we do not lose heart.
Though our outer self is wasting away,
our inner self is being renewed day by day.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,
plans for welfare and not for evil,
to give you a future and a hope.

No one can obtain Salvation. And we would wonder why we are asked to pray. Why did Jesus ask people what they wanted from Him.  To have the Holy Spirit know our hearts are open, loving and we want to see Him help the one we pray for. The Sincerity of Love. At one point during the Ministry of Jesus, He cried out, "When the Lord Returns, will He find faith on earth!"

We ask The Lord, know all of me, search me, see me. And we pray for those around us. When we see a need, we ask Him to Bless them. And The Lord will know, faith is upon His earth, His good creation, where the fullness of the earth belongs to Him. And we expect Good News in Jesus.

Abba, Father,

Father, we hope for Your grace and favor in Your sight,
Bless us when we carry and proclaim
the Light of Jesus in all mankind,
we are pleasing to You.

Help our direction
for ALL
to be of God
Love
Hope
Joy
and Faith.

Build us again, in You.

Light is Light
Love is Love
protect us from evil
and evil doing.

Let pervasive Goodness
be our lives again.

Dwell in us, Father,
we ask in the Highest Name of Jesus.

Dwell fully in those we love

Help us to seek You
first
and we will finish well
in Jesus Christ.

Pray for True Peace.
Peace in our Nation.
Law and Order.
Justice Restored.
Hope in our Future.
Bless those who have
Willingly Served the Nation.
Lord Jesus. Lord Jesus.
Lord Jesus.

Praying for the Peace of Israel.
Peace for Ukraine and the EU's help.
For Your Blessing upon Poland. Help. Helper.
Thank You.

We will Pray
and Pray Pray Pray
with
EXPECTATION
of
HIS LOVE
and
WORKS!

Thank You.

Our God is working. His Son,
Jesus is working.
Amen.

Psalm 23:5b-6 ~ Goodness and Mercy

Psalm 23:5b-6

My cup overflows.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell
in the
House of the Lord
forever.

I love the Truth of the Scriptures.

Never the glass is full or empty, it's.... real. We anticipate God being like us. I only have so much of my casserole for my dinner group.... I hope Jack won't have too much.... but Edward needs more and so his plate needs a bit more.

God doesn't give us a couple of ties or a sweater and say to us - now feel full. Love with me, please, how real Psalm 126 is. We acknowledge our blessings..... we've celebrated life with people we love. We give God thanks for our eyesight, for hearing, for health. For a job, for opportunities to come. For the people we were, and are, fortunate enough to love. And have been fortunate to be able to give the gift of giving to.

Psalm 126 acknowledges our lives are blessed and could use some more blessings. It gives us hope and assurance, God doesn't say, "Nope, you are blessed enough and my warehouse of blessings is spent."

Recently, I was in the grocery store, far, far, far from home and 2 people were missing the past and saying changes were too many, too soon and life was slipping far from gracious. We will miss what is good if we are bitter and spend too much time wanting to take down or take away from each other.

We have to find the blessings of today and be honest about our needs for more prayers answered.

Today, is the day to remember what has been given for free and cannot be replaced. To remember the future lives laid down and the years of service. And be grateful.

This morning was extremely beautiful on the water. And if you didn't get up pretty fast for the beauty and fresh, new day - - - the clouds began to roll in. Cherish the moments to appreciate the whole day. And again the sun and the glory of the Heavens appeared for ALL of us.

Is there really a glimmer of Hope?

Reawaken the Faith in us, again.

The Lord loves our prayers.

Abba, Father,

Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind but now I see

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved

How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

Through many dangers, toils, and snares
I have already come
This grace that brought me safe thus far
And grace will lead me home

When we've been here ten thousand years
Bright, shining as the sun
We've no less days to sing God's praise

Than when we'd first begun
Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind but now I see

Giving Thanks, to You, Father
for Eternal Life
for those who served, and we only know they have blessed our lives.

Giving Thanks, to You, Father
for Eternal Life
for those who have served, and we know them well.

The Blessing of Life.

Our prayer, Father,
says, Please Jesus.

Amen!

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
