Psalm 110 ~ He will Lift Up

Psalm 110

A Psalm of David.

1 The LORD says to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool."
2 The LORD sends forth from Zion your mighty scepter. Rule in the midst of your enemies!
3 Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours.
4 The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind, "You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek."
5 The Lord is at your right hand; he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath.
6 He will execute judgment among the nations, filling them with corpses; he will shatter chiefs over the wide earth.
7 He will drink from the brook by the way; therefore he will lift up his head.

Psalm 101 ~ A blameless life

Shepherds watch over the flock - by Vance

Psalm 101

Of David. A psalm.

1 I will sing of your love and justice; to you, O LORD, I will sing praise.

2 I will be careful to lead a blameless life-- when will you come to me? I will walk in my house with blameless heart.   3 I will set before my eyes no vile thing. The deeds of faithless men I hate; they will not cling to me.

4 Men of perverse heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with evil. 5 Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, him will I put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, him will I not endure.

6 My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he whose walk is blameless will minister to me.

7 No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence.

8 Every morning I will put to silence all the wicked in the land; I will cut off every evildoer from the city of the LORD.

So many things in Scripture don't make a lot of sense.
God says so many things in life don't make sense except to the One who knows the pages of our days in His Book of Life.

We have to delve into God's Word and really seek Him to see the message.
We cannot dismiss what we do not understand - we seek to Understand.

A doctor I work with says God has taken His Book of Life and encoded it in the things we still no nothing of and written His Book of Life in our DNA.

David wrote so many Psalms. He started out in the fields. Learning how Close Father God was to him even when his own father Jesse would show all of his sons for the anointing of blessing, but not David.

And then David was anointed the King of Israel. Even Samuel was worried about that. David went back to the flocks and protected them from all types of dangers. And praised God - making plans to make his future clean and sparkling to God.

Fame immediately followed. After his own family had scoffed at him with his anointing and pushing his way to the front. Saul was thrilled. And then paused to consider what this meant to an ever increasingly self - sufficient Saul.

David's anointing began to pale. His best friend saved his life and elected to not fall in with David. David's wife scorned him to remain a princess.  David was helped by priests - who were killed. Things looked - not that great to say the least. Not your typical Sunday School lesson. The people who ran to help David were the ones the system had not prospered.

David, has spent many, many hours with God and David decided that while this looked without fruit - David would believe God.

Habakkuk 3:
17 Though the fig tree should not blossom And there be no fruit on the vines, Though the yield of the olive should fail And the fields produce no food, Though the flock should be cut off from the fold And there be no cattle in the stalls, 18 Yet I will exult in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation!

And David pressed on to spare Saul in a cave and then to acquire two more wives. To find more people don't necessarily make life easier as they were kidnapped by competitors in David's business - being a mercenary for hire. Living in the below ditch in the ground.

David prayed vastly and went on to have the Lord help him to retrieve his family. Doing the best with what was given to him. He had found safe places for his family who did ask him for help. Being a shepherd was not going to work - people expected David to be mighty. And at the time - God had not provided David with herds of sheep but people who were as easy to shepherd as feral cats.

So David went with those who were willing and the families were retrieved. The brave people who had fought to retrieve their families asked David to forget those who would not strive with them. David said no. Which is odd for Psalm 101.

David was to continue to live for many, many years.

David,continued to believe God.

And David did not have a Disney written kingdom start. Saul's concubine's son was crowned and found to be inept. David suddenly had supporters everywhere. Saul's sons were killed by a rival nation and David agreed being prompted by God.

David had mercy on people right and left and then had mercy on Saul's concubine mourning the bones of her children. David was indeed being a Shepherd to Israel in the style of God the Father.

David had reached the point where he could relate. His first wife shunned him and that was one of the few times David was not in the mood to be merciful.

And life propelled forward. David reclaimed lands for his Tribe of Judah and for the first time Jerusalem belonged to Israel. David built his palace outside the gates and walls of Jerusalem, to show his determination that God alone protected him.  And also because God says in the Word of God to live upon a hill with a view is a blessing of Heaven.

David must have really wanted a glamorous reward and his reign was to have trouble from there on out.

He ignored God and God sent him the prophet Gad to correct David.

Nathan had more success.

David had known something important - David had not walked alone. God had seen David do what was within his path to do.

Acts 13:22
I have found David son of Jesse a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do

Why Luke 7 tells of the hometown Jesus lived in -

Luke 7

When Jesus had finished saying all this to the people who were listening, he entered Capernaum. 2 There a centurion’s servant, whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die. 3 The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant. 4 When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him, “This man deserves to have you do this, 5 because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue.” 6 So Jesus went with them.

He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: “Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. 7 That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. 8 For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

9 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel.” 10 Then the men who had been sent returned to the house and found the servant well.

David had believed God.
David believed that God's Word was good.
David knew God loved him and acted upon this belief.
David had sins, weaknesses and flaws.
David wanted to please God.
And in his life of difficulty, glory, sin, trial, joy, and belief.
God Loved David.

Father God, Your way is perfect: The LORD's word is flawless. Jesus is our perfection and our Savior. Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Father God You are the standard of perfection. And we have not found a Savior who does deal with our flaws and sins in wisdom, righteousness, immovable, vast Love.

When we pray we are not asking You to bend down to us, but to lift our prayers for ourselves and the ones we love Up to Your Will. Knowing that our hopes and desires will be heard and that Your will for our lives is Good. A Hope and a Future. That the journey will have difficulties and we lift that up to You. In Your Good Will. In Jesus, Amen.

Thank You, Jesus Christ Our LORD!

2 Samuel 5 ~ Nevertheless

Joshua 15

63 Judah could not dislodge the Jebusites, who were living in Jerusalem; to this day the Jebusites live there with the people of Judah.

2 Samuel 5

Then all the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and said, “Behold, we are your bone and flesh. 2 In times past, when Saul was king over us, it was you who led out and brought in Israel. And the Lord said to you, ‘You shall be shepherd of my people Israel, and you shall be prince over Israel.’” 3 So all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and King David made a covenant with them at Hebron before the Lord, and they anointed David king over Israel.

4 David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.

5 At Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months,
and at Jerusalem he reigned over all Israel and Judah thirty-three years.

6 And the king and his men went to Jerusalem against the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, who said to David, “You will not come in here, but the blind and the lame will ward you off”—thinking, “David cannot come in here.”

Hezekiah would use a water tunnel to save Jerusalem later.

7 Nevertheless, David took the stronghold of Zion, that is, the city of David. 8 And David said on that day, “Whoever would strike the Jebusites, let him get up the water shaft to attack ‘the lame and the blind,’ who are hated by David's soul.” Therefore it is said, “The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.”

Ecclesiastes 5:9

After all, a king who cultivates the field is an advantage to the land.

9 And David lived in the stronghold and called it the city of David. And David built the city all around from the Millo (9 David then took up residence in the fortress and called it the City of David. He built up the area around it, from the terraces[milo]) inward. inward.

10 And David became greater and greater, for the Lord, the God of hosts, was with him.

11 And Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and cedar trees, also carpenters and masons who built David a house. 12 And David knew that the Lord had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for the sake of his people Israel.

13 And David took more concubines and wives from Jerusalem, after he came from Hebron, and more sons and daughters were born to David. 14 And these are the names of those who were born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon, 15 Ibhar, Elishua, Nepheg, Japhia, 16 Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet.

17 When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over Israel, all the Philistines went up to search for David. But David heard of it and went down to the stronghold. 18 Now the Philistines had come and spread out in the Valley of Rephaim. 19 And David inquired of the Lord, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will you give them into my hand?” And the Lord said to David, “Go up, for I will certainly give the Philistines into your hand.” 20 And David came to Baal-perazim, and David defeated them there. And he said, “The Lord has broken through my enemies before me like a breaking flood.” Therefore the name of that place is called Baal-perazim. 21 And the Philistines left their idols there, and David and his men carried them away.

22 And the Philistines came up yet again and spread out in the Valley of Rephaim. 23 And when David inquired of the Lord, he said, “You shall not go up; go around to their rear, and come against them opposite the balsam trees. 24 And when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the balsam trees, then rouse yourself, for then the Lord has gone out before you to strike down the army of the Philistines.” 25 And David did as the Lord commanded him, and struck down the Philistines from Geba to Gezer.

1 Kings 11:27 Repair
Solomon built the Millo (terrace), and closed up the breach of the city of his father David.

1 Chronicles 11:8
He built up the city all the way around, from the supporting terraces to the surrounding parts, and Joab restored the rest of the city.

2 Chronicles 9:11
And the king made of the algum trees terraces to the house of the LORD, and to the king's palace, and harps and psalteries for singers: and there were none such seen before in the land of Judah.

About 3:40 Jerusalem shows David's work of Terracing all of Jerusalem.(Yes Scripture said it fell and was recreated.) AMAZING Drone footage from Jerusalem The Movie. Com. We find Israel is as Jesus says, we will have trouble in Life. We also see why God says His Creation is Good - yeserday, today and tomorrow. Wow. Stunning.

Fruitful and Fallow. Ebb and Flow.

God tells us He knows when the sparrow falls. God knows the number of hairs on your head. God has so many thoughts of you, the grains of sand on the beach would number how many thoughts God had of you before you were even born.

David waits and waits and waits to be King of Israel. There are false starts. False Stops. Even when David becomes King, there is peril. Pestilence. Patience. Parenting and pain

GOD uses All Seasons.

Mark 1:3
A voice of one calling in the wilderness,
'Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.'

Consider the Warrior King. Terraces are planted for prosperity, beauty and practicality. Every detail of land - will be parented and polished. The Changes would sweep Jerusalem for 3 millenniums.

Why did the land wait for Judah when Joshua even had a day of sunshine during the time of claiming Israel where the sun did not set and one day actually became two days. Why. This is the land where Abraham was well acquainted with.

David had to wait 7 years
A King has to wait 7 years to claim Jerusalem - Salem - Peace - as part of Judah from the time of Exodus, Numbers and Joshua. Why? God has a deliberate Plan.

Leviticus 25:4

In the seventh year,
there shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for the land,
a Sabbath to the LORD.
You shall not sow your field or prune your vineyard.

David arrives in Jerusalem and wants to plan the terraces.

Micah 4:1-4

The Mountain of the Lord

4 It shall come to pass in the latter days

that the mountain of the house of the Lord
shall be established as the highest of the mountains,
and it shall be lifted up above the hills;
and peoples shall flow to it

2 And many nations shall come, and say:

“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the house of the God of Jacob,
that he may teach us his ways
and that we may walk in his paths.”

For out of Zion shall go forth the law,

and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
3 He shall judge between many peoples,
and shall decide disputes for strong nations far away;
and they shall beat their swords into plowshares,
and their spears into pruning hooks;
nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
neither shall they learn war any more

4 They shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree,

and no one shall make them afraid,
for the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken.

The Scriptures repeat and repeat to assure us - God is part of the ebb and flow. Judah waited for Jerusalem and God's Plan was Spectacular. So eager to have God's Plan, Jerusalem, would become a Pearl of God unto Revelation 21.

Ebb.
The Population saw an increase as the Roman Empire brought vast wealth in all areas of the Empire. And at the time of Jesus, Isaiah had seen this:

Isaiah 7
23 In that day every place where there used to be a thousand vines, worth a thousand shekels of silver, will become briers and thorns. 24 With bow and arrows a man will come there, for all the land will be briers and thorns. 25 And as for all the hills that used to be hoed with a hoe, you will not come there for fear of briers and thorns, but they will become a place where cattle are let loose and where sheep tread.

Ezekiel 17:10
Look! Because it's a transplanted vine, won't it wither when the east wind hits it? It will surely wither in the terraces where it had started to sprout.

During the need for more agriculture and food for the population - Rome - God had a plan. It's suddenly apparent why God would say He has more thoughts for us than the grain of sands on the beach.

2 Samuel 1:1-16 ~ And he said to me, ‘Who are you?’"

David's Followers Including the Women, Ziklag, painted by James Tissot

2 Samuel 1:24,25
24 “You daughters of Israel, weep over Saul,
who clothed you luxuriously in scarlet,
who put ornaments of gold on your apparel.

25 “How the mighty have fallen
in the midst of the battle!

2 Samuel 1:1-16

1 After the death of Saul, when David had returned from striking down the Amalekites, David remained two days in Ziklag. 2 And on the third day, behold, a man came from Saul's camp, with his clothes torn and dirt on his head. And when he came to David, he fell to the ground and paid homage. 3 David said to him, “Where do you come from?” And he said to him, “I have escaped from the camp of Israel.” 4 And David said to him, “How did it go? Tell me.” And he answered, “The people fled from the battle, and also many of the people have fallen and are dead, and Saul and his son Jonathan are also dead.” 5 Then David said to the young man who told him, “How do you know that Saul and his son Jonathan are dead?” 6 And the young man who told him said, “By chance I happened to be on Mount Gilboa, and there was Saul leaning on his spear, and behold, the chariots and the horsemen were close upon him. 7 And when he looked behind him, he saw me, and called to me. And I answered, ‘Here I am.’ 8 And he said to me, ‘Who are you?’ I answered him, ‘I am an Amalekite.’ 9 And he said to me, ‘Stand beside me and kill me, for anguish has seized me, and yet my life still lingers.’ 10 So I stood beside him and killed him, because I was sure that he could not live after he had fallen. And I took the crown that was on his head and the armlet that was on his arm, and I have brought them here to my lord.”

11 Then David took hold of his clothes and tore them, and so did all the men who were with him. 12 And they mourned and wept and fasted until evening for Saul and for Jonathan his son and for the people of the Lord and for the house of Israel, because they had fallen by the sword. 13 And David said to the young man who told him, “Where do you come from?” And he answered, “I am the son of a sojourner, an Amalekite.” 14 David said to him, “How is it you were not afraid to put out your hand to destroy the Lord's anointed?” 15 Then David called one of the young men and said, “Go, execute him.” And he struck him down so that he died. 16 And David said to him, “Your blood be on your head, for your own mouth has testified against you, saying, ‘I have killed the Lord's anointed.’”

Amalekite -
A member of an ancient nomadic people of Canaan; said in the Bible to be descendants of Esau's grandson Amalek. God defeated seven tribes of Canaan to give the Children of Israel the promised land after the Exodus.

In Ziklag, which looks about the way it sounds, something of a ditch, where David did dwell. David had to ask news of a Canaanite about King Saul. The Lord had removed David far from Saul, fighting a different battle all together.

You would think David would have arranged constant news of Saul, instead David hears from Saul's enemy, of Saul's, and Jonathan's, upcoming battle with the Philistines.

You have to love the sweeping victories of the Bible, like the Technicolor endings of the Exodus provided by Cecil B. DeMill. This is like the Exodus, there is no clear win when the win is expected. David is now in possession of Saul's crown and armlet, but the next step of this battle is:

2 Samuel 2
4 And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah.

8 But Abner the son of Ner, commander of Saul's army, took Ish-bosheth the son of Saul and brought him over to Mahanaim, 9 and he made him king over Gilead and the Ashurites and Jezreel and Ephraim and Benjamin and all Israel. 10 Ish-bosheth, Saul's son, was forty years old when he began to reign over Israel, and he reigned two years. But the house of Judah followed David. 11 And the time that David was king in Hebron over the house of Judah was seven years and six months.

2 Samuel 3
There was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David. And David grew stronger and stronger, while the house of Saul became weaker and weaker.

5 At Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months, and at Jerusalem he reigned over all Israel and Judah thirty-three years.

This isn't a made for Hollywood ending, and the battle of the politicians and army leaders sounded more like mafia than Scripture, but the good thing about Scripture - this is a study of life - the way life unfolds.

Matthew 7:21-23
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

Let's put out our hands each day to Jesus Christ the Lord and become the anointed of the Lord.

Isaiah 1:17
learn to do good;
seek justice,
correct oppression;
bring justice to the fatherless,
plead the widow's cause.

Psalm 100 ~ for the LORD knows the way of the righteous

As Fragile as a Butterfly, these First P52 Ryland Papyrus and Second Century Papyrus P46 (300 clear chapters, University of Michigan) show careful, careful Love for the Word of the Lord.

Luke 1

1 Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, 2 just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word.

3 With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning,

I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, 4 so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.

The Word of God is never limited.

God has been orderly for centuries.  God teaches certainty in an uncertain world.

Certainty - Worry, Circumstance, Endurance and the Nature of God.

When the Gospels were written and the Book of Acts began - the Roman world and the governing body - with the religious body of the Jews - were in great fear. Ian Wilson records a letter found from Lystra, Judea recording the fear Jews were finished with the miracles and miracles and miracles the Body of Christ was experiencing.

Victory?

David lived 22 years and years and years of never, almost never, almost a victory, almost victory, victory for serving the Lord God. Our Father.

Psalm 1

1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers 2 but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.

He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.

4 The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;

6 for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

Psalm 1 is in the First Book of Psalms 1 - 40; considered to written by David and about his conflict with Saul.

We all struggle in a walk with Jesus Christ to put our loved ones in the category of "All Good with God" and we struggle with the culture leaning on the younger people and all the generations and upon us. And here is Psalm 1 assuring us we don't pass God's bar. God's Passing Grade would be unobtainable without Jesus Christ. Daily. Mark 7 explains all the many, many ways we can fail God every 5 minutes.

Honoring God with talk only - false talk.
Having a heart far away from worship.
Judas was said to take the holiness and warp it to his interests. He turned to his interests.
Putting a show in to a production of ministry and failing to care for aged parents.

Jesus carefully and with the Grace upon Grace of our Loving, Caring Father - relieves the tensions by saying what people say to you from their heart - their unkind words meant to pull others down - that the only thing that can truly defile us and trip us up - is feeling bad within ourselves and pushing that on to another - this defiles us. What people say - the movies - the TV- the music - that wanders in - is not what defiles us. It is the intentions of our mind, heart and soul that would harm us. We are safe from what is said. When we listen to God and worship Him. The Humility of knowing God saves us.

"evil thoughts come
sexual immorality,
theft,
murder,
adultery,
greed,
malice,
deceit,
lewdness,
envy,
slander,
arrogance
and folly.
All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”

Now consider Psalm 1 as a Psalm of David

Psalm 1

1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,

David was housed with the malcontents as he sought to do God's will. Ziklag - even his own men wanted to kill David. David had to Live with Faith God was going to bring his surroundings nearer, clearer and dearer to Father God. David was living what was in his soul to God.

nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers 2 but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.

Ya betcha, David was doing his best as the people who had really disliked Saul and Israel rode with David during the mercenary years. With certainty, assurance, internal conviction we know David was trusting God to make the path straight and good.

He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither.

David was like Mary, he believed the promises of God when faith was very certainly unseen around him. When Saul's concubine's sons were crowned King of Israel - did David feel all was right with the world? This would not be what David would all smiles and grins for that crown placed there. At least 3 people were crowned King of Israel while David was crowned over a little portion. And David believed that he was a tree and God would help him.

In all that he does, he prospers.

If we see this as absolute. The Ditch David lived in with the malcontents affirms, strengthens, emboldens us to believe David meant an internal attitude instead.

4 The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away.

With as many failures as David had in 22 years - not 'livin' the dream' - we know David was "walking the walk, talking the talk, keeping his eyes on His God." David always and never failingly believed God to be completely compassionate to the cry of His child - David. David was assuredly, completely faithful to the belief God had His Heart and His Plan upon David. David was not driven from this belief: God is for me. David stood with God as his firm foundation.

5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;

David believed in all times and circumstances - God alone had the ability and the pay grade to judge David. And David was in love for God for His wondrous ability to listen to David's prayers and David loved God for His Compassion.

6 for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

1 Chronicles 21:13
Then David said to Gad, “I am in great distress. Let me fall into the hand of the LORD, for his mercy is very great, but do not let me fall into the hand of man.”

Psalm 69:13 Psalm of David
But as for me, my prayer is to you, O LORD. At an acceptable time, O God, in the abundance of your steadfast love answer me in your saving faithfulness.

And who led David when he did fall into sin? Not Gad who blasted David with all of the righteousness of Gad. Gad!

Nathan came to David and expected David to have compassion. And Nathan had to come to David in times we'd rather run from a king. Nathan believed in the goodness of David. David named a child after Nathan and Luke 3 shows Mary to be a descendent of David through Nathan. Recorded in the Sadducean Council Records, housed in Scotland, saying this genealogy of Mary through her father, Heli.

David's compassion was so great to Nathan - Nathan was with David as he went to be with God. David loved the truth and he loved compassion. David believed God's Word to him. God's Personal Word and assurance.

We are a fortunate generation. We can touch objects David, King of Israel, God's anointed, placed in his city. Find History recording David.

The tour of the western wall tunnels is one of the most popular tourist sites in Jerusalem. These underground tunnels connect the western wall prayer area to the north-west side of the temple mount, passing along the side of the temple mount and under the present day houses in the Old City. Along its path are remains from the second temple period, as well as structures from later periods.

To please God, we must believe what He says within us in Jesus Christ.
The Bible tells us all will have Crowns of Righteousness, for those who Love God and Believe Him.

David placed his palace, for the view. Outside of the protection of City Walls. David believed his protection was from God.

the things that have been fulfilled among us, 2 just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word.

for the LORD knows the way of the righteous

Abba our Father, our Daddy.

Paul wrote he was a sinner, but at the time he did not know what sin he was in. There are a plethora of ways to make a vast God unhappy or angry. We all fall here - God gives His Word to affirm us as sinners.

Thanks be to God for Jesus Christ who covers us in His Name. His Grace upon Grace. Nothing we could ever do would purchase this astonishing gift allowing us access to You in Jesus Christ. At all times. In confidence.

Because You have placed the Holy Spirit inside of us - we are eternally safe. Invited to be Eternal in the way, truth and Life of Jesus Christ. To Live. Forever.

we are Eternal today because of Jesus.

Bless our cares lifted to you. Bless hold and cherish the ones we Love. Uphold and hold dear to You, the people You have given us.

We will see our prayers join the communion of saints. God having prayer circle the earth He calls yesterday, today and tomorrow "good". We ask for our city to recover and rejoice and be thrilled with the outpouring of Love to those in care of one another during Hurricane Harvey. An awesome, astonishing thing to see for a week the coverage of Hurricane Harvey on ABC 13. See this. Amazing.

for the LORD knows the way of the righteous

We pray this outpouring of Love over Florida. 6.3 million people moved out of the city is hard to repeat Houston's Love - but they will be returning home. Tired and worried - Jesus Christ uphold them. His own Children.

Bless our times - political bicker put down, Love lifted up.

And the Joy of the Lord is our Strength and Song.

Amen in Jesus Christ our God. Amen.

About scripture-for-today.blogspot.com/

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He has saved all who call upon His name and rely on Him for His Grace. The Scriptures are living & active and are for understanding the Lord Almighty. Biblical readings are chosen from the Ecumenical Christian Church and the Nicene Council, 325 A.D., approved Apocrypha. People remember not just from reading, but by sight and orally- an image has been added as well as audio readings. God tends to link the passages together with fascinates - this blogger, Anne-Laurel Gardere

A simple blog, scripture-for-today.blogspot

This blog is pretty simple, but for a reason. This blog isn't about agenda or me, it is for the joy and love to found by reading the Scriptures. Ultimately, it is you and the Lord.

The Scriptures are Father God's letter to you. He wanted you to know more, to know He loves you.

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
