Psalm 72
Of Solomon
Give the King Your Justice, O God,
and Your righteousness to the Royal Son!
2 May He judge Your people with righteousness,
and Your poor with justice!
3 Let the mountains bear prosperity for the people,
and the hills, in righteousness!
4 May He defend the cause of the poor of the people,
give deliverance to the children of the needy,
and crush the oppressor!
5 May they fear You while the sun endures,
and as long as the moon, throughout all generations!
6 May He be like rain that falls on the mown grass,
like showers that water the earth!
7 In His days may the righteous flourish,
and peace abound, till the moon be no more!
8 May He have dominion from sea to sea,
and from the River to the ends of the earth!
9 May desert tribes bow down before Him,
and His enemies lick the dust!
10 May the kings of Tarshish and of the coastlands
render Him tribute;
may the kings of Sheba and Seba
bring gifts!
11 May all kings fall down before Him,
All
nations serve Him!
12 For He delivers the needy when he calls,
the poor and him who has no helper.
13 He has pity on the weak and the needy,
and saves the lives of the needy.
14 From oppression and violence He redeems their life,
and
precious is their blood in His sight.
15 Long may He live;
may gold of Sheba be given to Him!
May prayer be made for Him continually,
and blessings invoked for Him all the day!
16 May there be abundance of grain in the land;
on the tops of the mountains may it wave;
may its fruit be like Lebanon;
and
may people blossom in the cities
like the grass of the field!
17 May His Name endure forever,
His fame continue as long as the sun!
May people be blessed in Him,
All
nations call Him blessed!
18 Blessed be the Lord,
The God of Israel,
Who alone
does
wondrous things.
19 Blessed be His Glorious Name
Forever
May the whole earth
be filled
with
His Glory!
Amen and Amen!
Religious Refuge
The United States of America
Many colonists—such as the Pilgrims of Plymouth Colony and the Puritans in Massachusetts Bay fled religious intolerance in Europe to freely practice their Christianity.
Evangelical Revivals:
The Great Awakening in the 1730s and 1740s fostered a shared Protestant identity across the separate colonies, uniting early Americans with a common moral framework.
Covenant Theology:
Early colonial governments were heavily influenced by Reformation doctrines.
They operated on the belief of God's Covenant with the community, tying public prosperity directly to obedience to God’s laws. As God said in His Word during the Exodus. Teaching His Blessings come from obedience to His Commandments.
Moral Justification for Revolution:
During the lead-up to the Revolutionary War, American clergy provided moral and religious moral grounds for breaking ties with the British Crown, telling colonists their cause was righteous in the sight of God. For continued Justice. A reliable Justice from a reliable system of Laws. Without blind obedience to a king interested in funds and not rule of law. For Catholics to practice and Protestants. Leaving years of Catholic Protestant wars and intolerance.
Missionary Work:
Catholic and Protestant colonists sought to establish missions to bring education and Christian teaching. The population to know Scriptures in Judeo Christianity, viewing this as a spiritual duty integral to the New Testament. Not always with great mercy. Or tolerance.
One of the First Father wonderous indications, a sign of being asked to be guided by the Lord. President John Adams and President Thomas Jefferson had been boon friends. Torn apart by a sense of duty and a sense of power grabbing. Over the last years, Adams and Jefferson had begun their volley of letters to reaffirm their friendship and affection as they aged. July 4, 1826 exactly 50 years anniversary to the day, the adoption of the Declaration of Independence was signed created a more perfect nation. Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. This day in 1826 saw both men pass on into Heaven Triumphant. And as Adams died, his son President John Quincy Adams heard his father say, "Thomas Jefferson Lives!" And in his joy, he passed on to Heaven as well.
The 2026 fireworks in Washington D.C. were held back until midnight for thunderstorms. And at 12:40, the moment the 40 minute fireworks celebration ended, the huge crowd cheered, turned to leave and were met with a gentle rain and some lightning. The crowd acknowledged by greater acclaim, the lightning in the sky.
Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place— the Most High,
Who is my refuge
— no evil shall be allowed to befall you,
no plague come near your tent.
Psalm 78:53
He led them in safety, so that they were not afraid,
but the sea overwhelmed their enemies.
Matthew 6:13
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Luke 10:19
Behold,
I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions,
and
over all the power of the enemy,
and nothing shall hurt you.
Isaiah 43:2
When you pass through the waters,
I Will be with you;
and
through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and
the flame shall not consume you.
Ephesians 6:13
Therefore take up the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to withstand in the evil day,
and
having done all, to stand firm.
Matthew 16:18
And I tell you, you are Peter,
and on this rock I will build My Church,
and
the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Proverbs 3:23-24
Then you will walk on your way securely, and your foot will not stumble.
If you lie down, you will not be afraid;
when you lie down,
your sleep will be sweet.
Being honest, the sidewalk on the way back with a huge crowd had tile concrete to look like limestone huge tiles. As these have aged and tilted, 3 people in the crowd fell down on the sidewalk in the dark. Unfortunately for me, I was one of them. My thumbnail is sore. And I jumped back up. In the greater sense of the word, fall, I did not. One poor man fell and hit his head hard on the curb in a double fall. And a child also fell.
1 Peter 3:13
Now who is there to harm you
if you are zealous for what is good?
Proverbs 1:1-33
The proverbs of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel:
To know wisdom and instruction,
to understand words of insight,
to receive instruction in wise dealing,
in righteousness, justice, and equity;
to give prudence to the simple,
knowledge and discretion to the youth—
Let the wise hear and increase in learning,
and
the one who understands obtain guidance
Psalm 20:1
A Psalm of David.
May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble!
May the Name of the God of Jacob
protect you!
Abba, Father,
Dwell in me,
Dwell in us,
Dwell in those we Love,
Help us to seek You first.
Peace and the Joy God gives us.
And we will finish well,
in Jesus Christ.
Please, Father,
Bless Edward with healthy retinas
without additional surgery
and our family with health
Your Will and Peace
as the little baby has colic fairly intensely.
Help us seek and find
and bring,
become,
more Heaven
to this earth.
Praying with Venezuela,
the 3,500 injured, 50,000 tens of thousands missing and the 1,200 fatalities.
