Luke 2:38-39 ~ the Favor of God

Luke 2:38-39

38 And coming up at that very hour, 

Anna the prophetess, began to give thanks to God 

and to speak of Him

 to all who were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem.

39 And when they had performed everything according to the Law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own town of Nazareth. 40 And the child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom. 

And the Favor of God was upon Him.

John tells us in His Gospel, as he is finishing, something important about the Life of Jesus Christ.

John 21

25 Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. 

Were every one of them to be written, I suppose 

that the world itself 

could not 

contain the books 

that would be written.

The Temple Mount was 36 Acres during the Second Temple time of the Ministry of Jesus.  This is the equivalent of a residential block of houses or 

And at the exact moment, Simon - who had heard from the Lord he would see the Savior - and Anna, are not in the other parts of the Temple Mount but find themselves in the Court of Women, where Jesus, as a Baby, would be presented to the Lord in the entire Temple.

36 Acres, and they are in the right moment to find Jesus and understand Him.

Jesus, as an infant, was drawing the purpose of God all around Him. And in this desire to know more about Jesus, the authors of the Gospels, 3 of them, wanted to know about His Birth. And in asking about His Birth, find miracles surrounded Jesus all the time.

To seek and find. Like Jabez. Jabez was found to be honorable in the sight of God.

1 Timothy 1:17

To the King of the ages, 

immortal, invisible, the only God, 

be honor and glory forever and ever.

Romans 12:9-13

Let love be genuine.

Love one another with brotherly affection. 

Outdo one another in showing honor. 

Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, 

serve the Lord. 

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, 

be constant in prayer. 

Contribute to the needs of the saints 

and seek to show hospitality.

Deuteronomy 5:16

“‘Honor your father and your mother, 

as the Lord your God commanded you, 

that your days may be long, 

and that it may go well with you in the land 

that the Lord your God is giving you.

Hebrews 13:4

Let marriage be held in honor among all, 

and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

Hebrews 13:18

that we have a clear conscience,

in all things.
