Isaiah 35 ~ Blossom abundantly and rejoice with joy and singing

 

Isaiah 35

The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad

The desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus;
it shall blossom abundantly
    and 

rejoice with joy and singing.

The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it,
    the majesty of Carmel and Sharon.

They shall see the Glory of the Lord,
 the Majesty of our God.

Strengthen the weak hands,
    and 

make firm the feeble knees.

Say to those who have an anxious heart,
 “Be strong; fear not!
Behold, your God
    will come with vengeance,
with the recompense of God.
    

He will come and save you.”

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
    and 

the ears of the deaf unstopped;
then 

shall the lame man leap like a deer,
    and 

the tongue of the mute sing for joy.

For waters break forth in the wilderness,
   and 

streams in the desert;
7 the burning sand shall become a pool,
    and 

the thirsty ground springs of water;
in the haunt of jackals, where they lie down,
    the grass shall become reeds and rushes.

8 And a Highway shall be there,
    and 

it shall be called the Way of Holiness

The unclean shall not pass over it.
 It shall belong to those who walk on the way;
  even if they are fools, they shall not go astray.

No lion shall be there,
 nor shall any ravenous beast come up on it;
they shall not be found there,
    but 

the redeemed shall walk there.

And the ransomed of the Lord 

shall return
    and 

come to Zion with singing

Everlasting joy shall be upon their heads;
they shall obtain gladness and joy,
 and 

sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Isaiah 35 is exactly what we can understand during the Exodus. When God moved clouds by day into the desert of Mount Sinai, the desert could rest from relentless and intense light.  And fire by night. The warmth from relentless cold. The tender growth could flourish and bloom abundantly, and all could rejoice with joy and singing.  

This is the certainty of God.  When Jesus was called to praise His Mother, whom He visited and took the Disciples to vacation with His Mother, He said, "More blessed are those who do the Will of God."

Mary was told in Luke's opening Gospel she was going to have pain and suffer enormously. Jesus knew His Mother had pain to come.  The people of the Exodus thought they suffered, and, really, they rested in the providence of God.

Our choice to see our lives as blessed and worthy.

We can speak, soak up and sorrow in the walk to death. Constantly putting ourselves in death. Bring up the way to walk to go to death. Fear others who have life and attempt to bring people into death as well. No envy for the dead. End envy by corruption. Interest others in corruption.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Abba, Father,

The oil of gladness instead of mourning

The garment of praise 

instead of a faint spirit;

that they may be called 

Oaks of Righteousness

 The planting of the Lord, 

that He may be glorified.

They shall build up the ancient ruins;

    they shall raise up the former devastations;

they shall repair the ruined cities

Forget not all His benefits -

Who forgives all your sins

and 

heals all your diseases,

Who redeems your life from the pit

and crowns you 

with love and compassion

With Your Help, 

believing Jesus walks on water.

Letting our

Dependable Past Blessings

Restore us again today

Stronger and Loving

Wise

and Capable.

Bless those, Father,

who have Blessed us.

In Heaven or earth.

With Your Help

We will act justly

 to love mercy

 and 

to walk humbly with You, our God.

Psalm 95 ~ Joyful noise

Psalm 95

 Oh come, let us sing to the Lord

Let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our Salvation!

Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving;

Let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise!

3 For the Lord is a great God,

 and 

a great King above all gods.

In His Hand are the depths of the earth;

The heights of the mountains

 are His also.

5 The sea is His, 

for 

He made it,

    and 

His Hands formed the dry land.

6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down;

Let us kneel before the Lord, 

our Maker!

For He is our God,

 and 

we are the people of His Pasture,

 and 

the sheep of His Hand.

Today, if you hear His Voice,

Do not harden your hearts

as at Meribah,

 as on the day at Massah 

in the wilderness

When your fathers put Me to the test

For forty years I loathed that generation

    and said, “They are a people who go astray in their heart,

 and they have not known my ways.”

11 Therefore I swore in My wrath,

enter 

My rest.”

  

We all need a little rest. When we were in Hoonah, Alaska, the first time, we had the opportunity to ride some of the mountains with one of the clan elected leaders.  He told us quite a bit about the entrepreneurship of one teenager wanting to bring in a Utah zipline.  And the two began a campaign. A very good campaign.

The old four clans combined to be the Huna Tlingit people on Chichagof Island,  which is 30 miles west of Juneau, across the Alaskan Inside Passage.  Chichagof Island is the 109th-largest island in the world and the 5th-largest island in the U.S. The population is 931. The day we went, it had just increased by 2 births, and, indeed, the Clan people all know each other by name.  Tongass National Forest borders the area and has an unpaved road system of over 300 miles of incredibly sized trees. Views of the smaller islands. Beautiful ponds dot all the mountains and valleys. 

This was a day Psalm 95 began suddenly to rise up in me and live in my heart. The vista, the town, the Tribe compete for a glimpse of Heaven.  Living in the rain forest, the people like the quiet of the clouds. Sunny days are somewhat few and they sometimes miss the clouds on those days.

We arrived at the top of the mountain, and I asked our guide if we could just listen to the quiet.  He said this surprised him because usually there are many questions on botany medicine and trees, all kinds of questions on the land, sea, and wildlife. I said I live in the city surrounded by traffic noise, car noise, electronics all making noise and with television, ceiling fans. There is usually and almost always sound. Let's listen to God's quietness in His earth.  Before we began, our clan leader guide asked, "Like Prayer."  Yes.  And we stood and listened. No one had a dry eye after a few minutes.   We ended this perfection as someone said, Thank You. And then, we all did.

We know the Glory of God within. 

We accept no less.

than

the Gondola.

The zip line moves with  ... Determination.

The Gondola is pushed by the wind.

Don't be pushed by the wind!

Abba, Father,

We ask Jesus Christ may dwell in our hearts 

through 

faith

We ask to be rooted and grounded in love

and 

have strength to comprehend with all 

what is the breadth and length and height and depth

of Your Love.

To know 

the love of Christ 

surpassing all the books ever written 

fully know

We are filled with all the fullness of God

Your Promises,

Father,

Are Sure

Dwell in us, please, Father.

as His saved child.

In Your Love and Mercy,

we Rejoice!

We walked through God's 

Hoonah gift

and the 1st time we heard whales breech

multiple times.

The next time, I heard the whale at least 3 times,

Edward is so much taller than I am

and he saw the whale through the forest.

I heard the power of the breath

and the tremendous movement of the water.

more Heaven today

to see more Heaven

Thy Kingdom come
