Psalm 44 ~ Steadfast Love †

 

Psalm 44

O God, we have heard with our ears,

our fathers have told us,

what deeds you performed in their days,

in the days of old

You with your own hand drove out the nations,

but them you planted; you afflicted the peoples,

but them you set free;

 

3 for not by their own sword did they win the land,

nor did their own arm save them,

but your right hand and your arm,

and the light of your face,

for you delighted in them. 

4 You are my King, O God;

ordain salvation for Jacob!

5 Through you we push down our foes;

through your name we tread down those who rise up against us.

6 For not in my bow do I trust,

nor can my sword save me.

7 But you have saved us from our foes

and have put to shame those who hate us.

8 In God we have boasted continually,

and we will give thanks to your name forever. Selah

18 Our heart has not turned back,

nor have our steps departed from your way;

19 yet you have broken us in the place of jackals

and covered us with the shadow of death.

20 If we had forgotten the name of our God

or spread out our hands to a foreign god,

21 would not God discover this?

For he knows the secrets of the heart.

26 Rise up; come to our help!

Redeem us for the sake of your steadfast love!

The lesson of Hope, Faith and Love remains.

Who actually are the writers of Psalm 44, with the Holy Spirit? From the Levitical clan, this Psalm was written by the Sons of Korah. 

Remember Asaph? What was Asaph's job during the reign of King David? He was chief in offering praise to God in music. He is Biblically recorded as being a chief musician and seer, or prophet.

1 Chronicles 16:5
Asaph was the chief, and next to him in rank were Zechariah, then Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom and Jeiel. They were to play the lyres and harps, Asaph was to sound the cymbals,

That day David first appointed Asaph and his associates to give praise to the LORD in this manner

Imagine... those men of the Bible encouraged the arts.

These ancient believers, long ago,  lived believing in gratitude towards Father God. Asaph, inspired by the Holy Spirit, wrote Psalm 50 and 73-83. So very different from popular culture in viewing Biblical patriarchs.

 Enduring. Suffering and Overcoming. Finding Gratitude and Hope.

This is a story of Family as well.

Asaph and his children blazed a path.

Asaph was the nephew of David, but Asaph is not recorded as living with David as a political outlaw in caves. David forgave numerous men for not following him during the dark hours.

David saw them doing so. King David understood the way his people needed to be treated. 

David did not treat the men who joined him, only in victory, as sheep for the slaughter.

Nor did they whitewash the difficulties of life. 

By being real and recording realities - we can seek the Psalms in times of Trouble and see that God steps in! Endurance, and not being weary in good works - has a reward.
The deep, millenniums deep belief - Good Will Be Ahead in Jesus Christ the Lord!

Abba, Father,

Peace to the brothers, and 

love with faith from God the Father 

and the Lord Jesus Christ. 

Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.

Dwell in us, Abba,

Help us to delight You.

Dwell in those we Love.

Help us to finish well.

You make all things new, in Jesus Christ.

Bless those, protect, guide

and never let go of those suffering.

Thank You for the prayers for my mother, Anne, on morphine, in Hospice.

My mother has passed on. It was a long, long, long illness,

I pray the Lord we all miss the long illnesses and finish well.

My father's first cousin's husband passed on Saturday at age 88 as well. 

The family believed he had recovered from Covid, and he was gone.

My mother died today from Covid day 17 and Alzheimer's.

Both our cousin Bob and my mother

are in their new Home tonight.

Prayers for Gentle Passing for my mother, Anne Anderson

Please pray with me today,

the passage of Heaven will be easy today for 

my mother, Anne Anderson.

My mother's breathing is labored

and she would love your prayers, I'm sure.

We would all appreciate your prayers.

Abba, Father,

Jesus bless and comfort my mother.

Bless my brother, John, traveling today.

God Bless John

We will have a Memorial Service for my mother later

in the Chapel at St. Michael and All Angels

where she has been a member since 1956, as a newlywed.

The Smaller Chapel is where she arranged two of her grandchildren

to be Baptized.

Thank You, Wonderful Jesus.

Jude ~ praying in the Holy Spirit

 

Jude

you must remember, 

beloved, 

the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

18 They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, 

following their own ungodly passions.” 

It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. 

20 But you, 

beloved

Building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit,  keep yourselves in the love of God, 

waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. 

And have mercy on those who doubt; 

save others by snatching them out of the fire; 

to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.

24 Now to Him

Who is able to keep you from stumbling 

and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with great joy

To the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, 

be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, 

before all time and now and forever. Amen

We wonder about Jesus and Jude and their time as a family.  Jude, named in the Gospels among the relatives of Jesus (Mt 13:55; Mk 6:3). The Catholic Bishops point out the real possibility of composition around the year A.D. 80, the historical Jude may still have been alive.

Culturally, we believe elbows out make our will the-end-all-and-be-all of the powerful. 

Jesus has taught His brothers, when facing incredible evil, win with being polite. And saying the Lord will be the Judge. In faith, we believe God will always win and His Will continues to be accomplished.

An astonishing fact, to say God will Judge and allow for courtesy. A winning argument.

The formula for surviving evil is:

Allow God to Judge.

Courtesy.

Keep in God's Love by Praying.

Believe in God's Love.

Waiting for God's Mercy.

Believing in Eternal Life.

Have mercy on the doubters.

Snatch others out of the fire, which would say being deliberately involved.

Give mercy even when you hate to give mercy upon the evil doers.

The Joy of the Lord is our Strength.

God's Joy to keep us blame free. Blameless.

We believe God is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory over All.

God is the only God and only Savior.

Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. Jesus Christ Highest Name. God of God. True Light of True Light.

Abba, Father God,

Joshua 21:45 

Not one word of all the good promises 

that the Lord had made to the house of Israel had failed; 

All came to pass.

We can't always approach You well. 

You have given us Your Word to come with boldness. 

You told us Your Mercies renew, and we will find this.

We will remember God has revealed to us through the Spirit. 

For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. 

Your Holy Spirit will pray for us. We can lean into You. 

In the Highest Name of Jesus, we ask Your Righteousness. 

And our souls will be a wonderful home for You.

Surround us, fill us, fill those we Love with Jesus Christ. Redeem us and 

Renew us with Your Willingness, and we will be Blessed and Blessed. 

Help us to Seek Your Kingdom and Righteousness first. 

To Live lives of Love, Peace and Joy.

Give us this day to find our Joy is our Strength in You.

Father, You are Working.

 You Fight the Good Fight, we find our Comfort, Help and Strength. 

To live in affection and Love brings us faith, hope and Love.

You are The Good Father asking us to Love ourselves. 

To have a Spirit of Power.

To Love others.

For my mother, struggling.

Comforted and Strengthened, we will find Solutions

And Greater Joys.

Abundant Love flowing down. Soaking us All!

His Living Water flows.

Opening our doors with expectation of Your Continued Goodness

in ourselves, in the ones we Love,

Jesus Christ in the people You bring us.

We pray for the safety of

our Schools to be a safe, good,

warm place for the Children

We uphold them with our Love and Prayers.

We ask Your Mighty Word

to for all the United States and the world

Finding Your Blessing and Word of Love.

Jesus help us in this Nation to be in Your Word and see more Joy.

The end of trouble surrounding this Virus.

Help this Storms to end quickly, safely

Help Hurricane Overcomers.

And  Fire Overcomers.

 You for Hear Our Prayers!

Bless the Nation trusting in You. 

Bring all the Nations to Your Brightness, to the Glory of Jesus.

Acts 21: 7-16 ~ chosen

 

Acts 21: 7-16

I fell to the ground and heard a voice say to me, 'Saul! Saul! Why do you persecute me?'

8" 'Who are you, Lord?' I asked.

“ 'I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting,' he replied. 9 My companions saw the light, but they did not understand the voice of him who was speaking to me.

10 “'What shall I do, Lord?' I asked.
"'Get up,' the Lord said, 'and go into Damascus. There you will be told all that you have been assigned to do.' 11 My companions led me by the hand into Damascus because the brilliance of the light had blinded me.

12 "A man named Ananias came to see me. He was a devout observer of the law and highly respected by all the Jews living there. 13 He stood beside me and said, 'Brother Saul, receive your sight!' And at that very moment I was able to see him.

14 "Then he said: 

'The God of our fathers has chosen you to know His will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from His mouth. 15 You will be His witness to all men of what you have seen and heard. 16 And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on His name.'

This passage is Living and Active. Not all about Paul. This is the experience we will live as Jesus calls us to His Kingdom. 

My mother is being called to Jesus this week. Nurses and the attending Physician have said. She has grown so old, wheelchair or bedridden. Not speaking. Not knowing. Not remembering. Not recognizing. And refusing food and water.

My mother has been chosen to know His Will. To see the hills and highways of Heaven. To see the Righteous One. To hear Words from His mouth.  We will all witness the Light of mankind, we will see and hear. 

 Jesus will say to my mother, "What are you waiting for? Get up, be filled in the Promises of Heaven in Our Holy Spirit. Wash your sins away. Calling on me, Savior of the world, Jesus Christ."

John 15:11 

These things I have spoken to you, 

that my joy may be in you, 

and that your joy may be full.

 Revelation 21:5

 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: 

old things are passed away; 

behold, all things are become new.

Abba, Father,

Dwell wonderfully in us

and in those we Love.

Increase Heaven on earth.

Strengthen us to be Love and Joy to You.

And we, yes, will seek You first in Jesus

And finish well.

All Glory and Honor to Jesus Christ. 

Blessings on this Nation of Your Mercy

We were called upon to arrange her Memorial Service today. 

 Now to Jesus, Glory, Who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, 

according to the power at work within us, 

to Him be glory in the church 

and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations,

forever and ever. Amen.
