Psalm 97 ~ The Lord of all the earth

Psalm 97

The Lord Reigns
The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice;
    let the many coastlands be glad!

Clouds and thick darkness are all around Him;
    righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.
Fire goes before Him
    and burns up His adversaries all around.
His lightnings light up the world;
    the earth sees and trembles.
The mountains melt like wax before the Lord,
    before the Lord
of all
the earth.

The Heavens proclaim His righteousness,
    and all the peoples see His glory.

All worshipers of images are put to shame,
    who make their boast in worthless idols;
    worship Him, all you gods!

Zion hears and is glad,
    and the daughters of Judah rejoice,
    because of your judgments, O Lord.
For you, O Lord, are most high over all the earth;
    You are exalted far above all gods.

O you who love the Lord, hate evil!
    He preserves the lives of His saints;
    He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

Light is sown for the righteous,
    and joy for the upright in heart.
Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous,
    and give thanks to His holy name!

A Psalm for our times.
Letting the Light of God shine in our hearts.

Hope
Faith
Love

Psalm 93:1

The LORD reigns! He is robed in majesty;
The LORD has clothed and armed Himself with strength.
 The world indeed is firmly established; it cannot be moved.

Isaiah 55:8-9

For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
    neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
    so are my ways higher than your ways
    and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Corinthians 1:3-5

God of All Comfort
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
 the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
Who comforts us in all our affliction,
so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction,
with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings,
 so through Christ we share abundantly
in comfort too.

Psalm 19:1
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.

 Psalm 24:7
Lift up your heads, O gates! Be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of Glory may enter!

 Psalm 50:6
And the heavens proclaim His righteousness, for God Himself is Judge. Selah

 Psalm 89:5
The heavens praise Your wonders, O LORD--Your faithfulness as well
--in the assembly of the holy ones.

Hebrews 1:6
And again, when God brings His firstborn into the world,
He says: "Let all God's angels worship Him."

Zion hears and is glad,
    and the daughters of Judah rejoice,
    because of your judgments, O Lord.
For you, O Lord, are most high over all the earth;
    You are exalted far above all gods.

O you who love the Lord, hate evil!
    He preserves the lives of His saints;
    He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

Light is sown for the righteous,
    and joy for the upright in heart.

Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous,
    and give thanks to His Holy Name!

Abba, Father,

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly
than all that we ask or think,
according to the power at work within us,
to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus
throughout all generations, forever and ever.

Amen in our Jesus Christ, Wonderful

Jesus, God of Encouragement.

Psalm 84 ~ Behold our shield, O God

Psalm 84

How lovely is your dwelling place,
O Lord of hosts!
My soul longs, yes, faints
for the Courts of the Lord;
my heart and flesh sing for joy
to the living God.

Even the sparrow finds a home,
and the swallow a nest for herself,
where she may lay her young,
at your altars, O Lord of hosts,
my King and my God.
Blessed are those who dwell in Your house,
ever singing your praise! Selah

Blessed are those whose strength is in you,
in whose heart are the highways to Zion.

As they go through the Valley of Baca
they make it a place of springs;
the early rain also covers it with pools.
They go from strength to strength;
each one appears before God in Zion.

O Lord God of hosts,
hear my prayer;
give ear, O God of Jacob! Selah
Behold our shield, O God;
look on the face of your anointed!

For a day in your courts is better
than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
the Lord bestows favor and honor.

No good thing does he withhold
from those who walk uprightly.

O Lord of hosts,
blessed is the one who trusts in You!

The Comfort of the Holy Spirit, God's Gift

We all think about taking this time and living in the Spirit of Power and not fear. Fear is a reasonable emotion. The Disciples, we know, were cherished and upheld instead of left behind to have trepidation.  Father God tells us we can find the Spirit of Power and lift our lives and thoughts  Upward.

Abba, Father

We give You Thanks for Renewing our Blessings Daily. Help us to Live and move and truly know the truth of our Blessings. To build upon what You have Willingly Given. To understand and to Please You as we live in these Blessings.

Jesus told His Disciples not to speak. The Kingdom of Heaven :

Matthew 13:45-44
44 “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.

45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, 46who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

When we pray for a way to explain our Faith. We Pray for the Wisdom of God. And the timing of God. You have placed Your Spirit within us who Believe and we sometimes know the time is not quite right. Like the ancient symbol of Ichthus. Like the woman who reached for the fringe of Jesus' robe.

Luke 6
17 And he came down with them and stood on a level place, with a great crowd of his disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, 18 who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. And those who were troubled with unclean spirits were cured. 19 And all the crowd sought to touch him, for power came out from him and healed them all.

The Holy Spirit of God is Abundant. Inclusive. Thank You Jesus. You seek to save the world in Jesus Christ. We can pray and we will have the opportunity. Jesus and His Holy Spirit will do this.

We love to have conversational prayer with You, Father, all the day in Jesus. We will be empowered to pray for others and to have His opportunities.

Thank You Father, You are the Way, the Truth and the Life. When we clearly perceive in life we are told to be quiet, You have given us wisdom. You give us the way forward to Pray in Jesus and He will provide.

We pray to have the Joy in the Lord for finding the Kingdom of Heaven first. To live lives of Love, Peace and Joy.

Knowing You cover those we Love in Jesus. Bringing their hearts to You. Covering the people You have given us. Giving our Nation hope as we Trust in You. Covering Australia and China and all the Nations praying for Your Steadfast Love and Mercy.

Thanking You, Father God. Your Plans are our Hope and Future. We ask for all the Willing Blessings You would give and rely on Your Steadfast Love and Mercy.

The Righteousness of Jesus Christ
 - Your Gift to us. Amen.

Psalm 100 ~ His steadfast love endures forever

Psalm 100

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
    Serve the Lord with gladness!
    Come into His presence with singing!

Know that the Lord, he is God!
    It is he who made us, and we are His;
    we are his people, and the sheep of His pasture.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving,
    and His courts with praise!
    Give thanks to him; bless His Name!

For the Lord is good;
    His steadfast love endures forever,
    and his faithfulness to all generations.

We can look at the Septuagint. Study archeology of David's House. Find ancient mosaics. Discuss miracles we have known and hear of, spurring us on.

But eventually, we say in ourselves, God is Capable. Able. Loving. Mighty. I believe Him and believe His Promises. The Word of God is His Own.

The winds of change blow. Over there, Nearby. Far away. And God is not worried. God is the Almighty and His Word upholds us in Hope. His Love is Forever.  His Will and Mercy Prevail.

And in this Awesome Presence, we know we are insignificant. And God will still make a Plan and a Path for us all. He says so.

The Word of God Endures forever. Because God says so.

And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain. We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied.

But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For “God has put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when it says, “all things are put in subjection,” it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him. When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all.

Abba, Father God,

You are all in all.
Dwell in us.
We want to be part of Your Glory every day.
Be this Joy for those we Love.

Mercifully surround us with Your support
and we will see more Heaven on earth.

Troubles are here, yet God is Larger.
We lift up our cares to the Lord
and we are unburdened.

God is Capable. God is Sufficient.
God does more than we ask or image
And in the Love of Jesus Christ, Today and always.
We pray for the Healing of our Nation.
God's Love all over His Good Creation.
We are blessed to be free to seek Him first.

Alleluia. Lord Jesus.
Blessed be Your Name. Amen.

Acts 22 ~ what you have seen and heard

Acts 22

 “Brothers and fathers, hear the defense that I now make before you.”

2 And when they heard that he was addressing them in the Hebrew language, they became even more quiet. And he said:

3 “I am a Jew, born in Tarsus in Cilicia, but brought up in this city, educated at the feet of Gamaliel according to the strict manner of the law of our fathers, being zealous for God as all of you are this day.

4 I persecuted this Way to the death, binding and delivering to prison both men and women, 5 as the high priest and the whole council of elders can bear me witness. From them I received letters to the brothers, and I journeyed toward Damascus to take those also who were there and bring them in bonds to Jerusalem to be punished.

6 “As I was on my way and drew near to Damascus, about noon a great light from heaven suddenly shone around me. 7 And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’

8 And I answered, ‘Who are you, Lord?’

And he said to me, ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.’

9 Now those who were with me saw the light but did not understand the voice of the one who was speaking to me.

10 And I said, ‘What shall I do, Lord?’

And the Lord said to me, ‘Rise, and go into Damascus, and there you will be told all that is appointed for you to do.’

 11 And since I could not see because of the brightness of that light, I was led by the hand by those who were with me, and came into Damascus.

12 “And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, well spoken of by all the Jews who lived there, 13 came to me, and standing by me said to me, ‘Brother Saul, receive your sight.’ And at that very hour I received my sight and saw him.

14 And he said, ‘The God of our fathers appointed you to know his will, to see the Righteous One and to hear a voice from his mouth; 15 for you will be a witness for him to everyone of what you have seen and heard. 16 And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.’

17 “When I had returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, I fell into a trance 18 and saw him saying to me, ‘Make haste and get out of Jerusalem quickly, because they will not accept your testimony about me.’

19 And I said, ‘Lord, they themselves know that in one synagogue after another I imprisoned and beat those who believed in you. 20 And when the blood of Stephen your witness was being shed, I myself was standing by and approving and watching over the garments of those who killed him.’

21 And he said to me, ‘Go, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’”

22 Up to this word they listened to him. Then they raised their voices and said, “Away with such a fellow from the earth! For he should not be allowed to live.” 23 And as they were shouting and throwing off their cloaks and flinging dust into the air, 24 the tribune ordered him to be brought into the barracks, saying that he should be examined by flogging, to find out why they were shouting against him like this.

25 But when they had stretched him out for the whips, Paul said to the centurion who was standing by, “Is it lawful for you to flog a man who is a Roman citizen and uncondemned?”

26 When the centurion heard this, he went to the tribune and said to him, “What are you about to do? For this man is a Roman citizen.”

27 So the tribune came and said to him, “Tell me, are you a Roman citizen?”

And he said, “Yes.”

28 The tribune answered, “I bought this citizenship for a large sum.”

Paul said, “But I am a citizen by birth.” 29 So those who were about to examine him withdrew from him immediately, and the tribune also was afraid, for he realized that Paul was a Roman citizen and that he had bound him.

30 But on the next day, desiring to know the real reason why he was being accused by the Jews, he unbound him and commanded the chief priests and all the council to meet, and he brought Paul down and set him before them.

Don't we all listen much better when someone is speaking our language.

Photo Compiled by Investigation Bureau of Germany. I'd think it would be the compilation of the numerous icons of St. Paul. Usually, Paul looked more cheerful in the early Christian art.

Paul has a can do attitude.
He was willing to pull out his Ivy League education. Give the gold card of being educated at the feet of Gamaliel.

Paul heard Jesus speak to him, and Jesus saved Paul. Ananias, Jesus told to bring Paul the Light of Christ. Then Paul heard the Word of forgiveness. And Paul was granted a Way forward. God was speaking just as Paul needed the next step. We can do that - to rely upon Father God for the next step.

(Gamaliel was an interesting educator. He held sway with the Religious council. Saying that if they tampered with the apostles' message - they might be taking on God's will and by extrapolation, His wrath.)

Then Paul went on to say, God loves everyone. Not a popular message at that time. Today, the unpopular message would be - God loves holiness. Without Jesus Christ - no one can attain that or claim that. Only in faith, can we truly attain God's righteousness in Jesus.  So many times we should listen to His word and we feel we can skate by. When we skate by, we do that under our own power.

Paul has a different beginning from the original Apostles. The Scriptures are so very real. The Disciples are sent Help for 40 days. Days with Jesus Christ. The Apostles knew Jesus and knew their own guilt. Jesus sends help immediately, Himself. Paul was in disgrace and become filled with the Holy Spirit of Salvation. Paul starts immediately. Paul is on top form almost immediately when his eyes were opened.

We go forth with purpose in hope of His Love.

A youth pastor said that he attended a day planner - saying we can plan all we want -  it is up to God to bring that plan forth. People around us have needs we are unaware of. The event said - put your prayer out for God to direct you. Then we are sustained in our efforts instead of burned out.

Paul was not rigid and uptight. He understood with a heart of love for his listeners. His message was Jesus as Love. Not their plans. God's.

1 Thessalonians 2:13

And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.

Abba, Father God,

May Your deeds be shown to Your people, Your splendor to their children.

May Your favor rest on us; establish the work of our hands for You — yes, establish the work of our hands.

Help us do Your Will with joy and verve. We ask this for ourselves and our loved ones.
Help our Church Family, family, co-workers, friends and Nation to joyfully serve and please Jesus.

We pray for ourselves and the earth is Yours and the fullness thereof.

Help us to seek You first.
To have You dwell in us.
Our lives filled with Hope as we live in Your Way.
The Adventure.
Bless and fill those we Love.

Let Your Mercy fill the world in Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Matthew 13:44-52 ~ The Kingdom of Heaven

Matthew 13:44-52

 The Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.

45 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls,  who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

47 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and gathered fish of every kind. 48 When it was full, men drew it ashore and sat down and sorted the good into containers but threw away the bad.

 So it will be
 at the end of the age.
 The angels will come out and separate the evil from the righteous
 and throw them into the fiery furnace.
In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

51 “Have you understood all these things?” They said to him, “Yes.”

52 And he said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has been trained for the Kingdom of Heaven is like a master of a house, who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old.”

Abba, Father,

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

Anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Daniel 2:37
Your Majesty, you are the King of Kings.
The God of heaven has given you dominion and power and might and glory

Go on up to a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good news;
lift up your voice with strength,
 O Jerusalem, herald of good news;
 lift it up, fear not; say to the cities of Judah,
 “Behold your God!”

Behold, the Lord God comes with might, and his arm rules for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him. He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.

 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand
 and marked off the heavens with a span,
enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure
 and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?

Who has measured the Spirit of the Lord, or what man shows him his counsel?
Whom did he consult, and who made him understand?
Who taught him the path of justice, and taught him knowledge,
 and showed him the way of understanding?

 Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
 the Creator of the ends of the earth.

 He does not faint or grow weary;
 his understanding is unsearchable.
 He gives power to the faint

Blessed be the Name of Jesus
Blessed are those whom Jesus would dwell within
Please bless those we Love.
Alleluia for Jesus.

Amen!

Jesus, God of Encouragement.
Jesus, Hope and Future.
Jesus the Lord
saves the world
Amen.

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
