1 God shall arise, his enemies shall be scattered;
and those who hate him shall flee before him!
2 As smoke is driven away, so you shall drive them away;
as wax melts before fire,
so the wicked shall perish before God!
3 But the righteous shall be glad;
they shall exult before God;
they shall be jubilant with joy!

4 Sing to God, sing praises to his name;
lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts;
his name is the Lord;
exult before him!
5 Father of the fatherless and protector of widows
is God in his holy habitation.
6 God settles the solitary in a home;
he leads out the prisoners to prosperity,
but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.

Semeion, a “sign”, i.e., an evidence of a divine commission; an attestation of a divine message; a token of the presence and working of God; the seal of a higher power.

Signs of healing, redemption, faith, believers coming to Jesus. Men who walked away from God's call to pursue their own free will, turn to doing the will of God.

⁸ One day Elisha went on to Shunem, where a wealthy woman lived, who urged him to eat some food. So whenever he passed that way, he would turn in there to eat food. ⁹And she said to her husband, "Behold now, I know that this is a holy man of God who is continually passing our way. ¹⁰Let us make a small room on the roof with walls and put there for him a bed, a table, a chair, and a lamp, so that whenever he comes to us, he can go in there."

¹¹One day he came there, and he turned into the chamber and rested there. ¹²And he said to Gehazi his servant, "Call this Shunammite." When he had called her, she stood before him. ¹³And he said to him, "Say now to her, 'See, you have taken all this trouble for us; what is to be done for you? Would you have a word spoken on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?'" She answered, "I dwell among my own people." ¹⁴And he said, "What then is to be done for her?" Gehazi answered, "Well, she has no son, and her husband is old." ¹⁵He said, "Call her." And when he had called her, she stood in the doorway. ¹⁶And he said, "At this season, about this time next year, you shall embrace a son." And she said, "No, my lord, O man of God; do not lie to your servant." ¹⁷But the woman conceived, and she bore a son about that time the following spring, as Elisha had said to her.

¹⁸When the child had grown, he went out one day to his father among the reapers. ¹⁹And he said to his father, "Oh,my head, my head!" The father said to his servant, "Carry him to his mother." ²⁰And when he had lifted him and brought him to his mother, the child sat on her lap till noon, and then he died. ²¹And she went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God and shut the door behind him and went out. ²²Then she called to her husband and said, "Send me one of the servants and one of the donkeys, that I may quickly go to the man of God and come back again." ²³And he said, "Why will you go to him today? It is neither new moon nor Sabbath." She said, "All is well." ²⁴Then she saddled the donkey, and she said to her servant, "Urge the animal on; do not slacken the pace for me unless I tell you." ²⁵So she set out and came to the man of God at Mount Carmel.

When the man of God saw her coming, he said to Gehazi his servant, "Look, there is the Shunammite. ²⁶Run at once to meet her and say to her, 'Is all well with you? Is all well with your husband? Is all well with the child?'" And she answered, "All is well." ²⁷And when she came to the mountain to the man of God, she caught hold of his feet. And Gehazi came to push her away. But the man of God said, "Leave her alone, for she is in bitter distress, and the LORD has hidden it from me and has not told me." ²⁸Then she said, "Did I ask my lord for a son? Did I not say, 'Do not deceive me?'" ²⁹He said to Gehazi, "Tie up your garment and take my staff in your hand and go. If you meet anyone, do not greet him, and if anyone greets you, do not reply. And lay my staff on the face of the child." ³⁰Then the mother of the child said, "As the LORD lives and as you yourself live, I will not leave you." So he arose and followed her. ³¹Gehazi went on ahead and laid the staff on the face of the child, but there was no sound or sign of life. Therefore he returned to meet him and told him, "The child has not awakened."

³²When Elisha came into the house, he saw the child lying dead on his bed. ³³So he went in and shut the door behind the two of them and prayed to the LORD. ³⁴Then he went up and lay on the child, putting his mouth on his mouth, his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands. And as he stretched himself upon him, the flesh of the child became warm. ³⁵Then he got up again and walked once back and forth in the house, and went up and stretched himself upon him. The child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes. ³⁶Then he summoned Gehazi and said, "Call this Shunammite." So he called her. And when she came to him, he said, "Pick up your son." ³⁷She came and fell at his feet, bowing to the ground. Then she picked up her son and went out.

³⁸And Elisha came again to Gilgal when there was a famine in the land. And as the sons of the prophets were sitting before him, he said to his servant, "Set on the large pot, and boil stew for the sons of the prophets." ³⁹One of them went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine and gathered from it his lap full of wild gourds, and came and cut them up into the pot of stew, not knowing what they were. ⁴⁰And they poured out some for the men to eat. But while they were eating of the stew, they cried out, "O man of God, there is death in the pot!" And they could not eat it. ⁴¹He said, "Then bring flour." And he threw it into the pot and said, "Pour some out for the men, that they may eat." And there was no harm in the pot.

⁴²A man came from Baal-shalishah, bringing the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley and fresh ears of grain in his sack. And Elisha said, "Give to the men, that they may eat." ⁴³But his servant said, "How can I set this before a hundred men?" So he repeated, "Give them to the men, that they may eat, for thus says the LORD, 'They shall eat and have some left.'" ⁴⁴So he set it before them. And they ate and had some left, according to the word of the LORD.

The 4th Chapter of Kings is one of parts of the Bible that cause the righteous to be glad and sing praises to His name.

Mark 16

When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Salome bought spices, so that they might go and anoint him. 2 And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb. 3 And they were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?” 4 And looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back—it was very large. 5 And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were alarmed. 6 And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him. 7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.” 8 And they went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had seized them, and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.


9 Now when he rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons. 10 She went and told those who had been with him, as they mourned and wept. 11 But when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they would not believe it.


12 After these things he appeared in another form to two of them, as they were walking into the country. 13 And they went back and told the rest, but they did not believe them.

14 Afterward he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen. 15 And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

19 So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.


Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

The fear of most things makes most people mostly stay home. Even just what is uncomfortable causes most people to avoid it. I had a friend in college, Suzanne, she could gather a crowd and make fun happen. She could get people to drive across the state of Texas to bring trucks and equipment so all the people she could gather from our dorm would have a day at Lake Somerville. One day she asked me to come to her dorm room at 2:00 on a Friday and not mention it to anyone. When I arrived she was so embarrassed and began to tell me she is intelligent. I agreed. She said she wanted to go to church, but when people talked they seemed to know all of it. What? The people they talk about. I was puzzled. Suzanne explained some more. I was still puzzled. Finally I had some comprehension. You mean "Matthew, Mark, Luke and John?" Right!

How difficult it is to come to Church and not know what is going on. How many people come to Church & leave because it is uncomfortable? Watching the Church Lady on Saturday Night Live is enough to cause anyone to bolt.

What about the phrase "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" ... it sounds medieval.

The first day of the New Covenant - when God decided to create Heaven and abolish death by giving us His Son, Jesus - no one was feeling peaceful. Easter Sunday had a tremendous amount of fear. All of the Saints were acting very humanly. They were hiding, filled with trembling & astonishment. The embalming of Jesus was left to the women (the disciples were so much in hiding they didn't know the body of Jesus already has 75 pounds of spices) because the men were in fear of their lives. None of the children of God had it remotely figured out.

This first day they had more disbelief than hope. And God didn't take the hope from them or punish them for their less than saintly reactions. They didn't know how to react.

What happened next is known throughout the world. This is the fear of the Lord, it is only the beginning of the wisdom. They did recover from their fear. Not because they became more saintly, but through the gift of God. With their belief, with their courage, with the overwhelming help of God's Spirit, Jesus Christ changed the heavens and the earth.

1 Thessalonians 5:23
Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

John 1:1-14,17,29-35 ~ (Today's New International Version)

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all people. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.

9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.

32 Then John gave this testimony: "I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him. 33 And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, 'The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.' 34 I have seen and I testify that this is God's Chosen One."

35 The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. 36 When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, "Look, the Lamb of God!"


This is is my favorite chapter of the Bible, John 1. The gospels written by Mark and John are sometimes compared, without kindness, to the narrative of Jesus Christ's birth written beautifully in Luke and Matthew. But actually Mark speaks of a wilderness wanting to be tamed and John speaks of light coming out of darkness. Isn't this the deepest desire for Jesus Christ?

As we move into our preparations for All Saints, Advent and Christmas it can bring forth all of our deepest longings. Matthew begins with an engagement, the most important choice in life. Luke begins with a barren priest. God addresses all of these concerns by reaching out to hear, to heal, to love and to care. For all of our seasons in life, God is part of them. Just as God watched, with love, each day of Jesus' life on earth, the Light continues to shine for us.

The Peace of God always be with you.

Psalm 33:11-19 ~ sees all of mankind

¹¹ But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever,
the purposes of his heart through all generations.

¹² Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD,
the people he chose for his inheritance.

¹³ From heaven the LORD looks down
and sees all mankind;

¹⁴ from his dwelling place he watches
all who live on earth-

¹⁵ he who forms the hearts of all,
who considers everything they do.

¹⁶ No king is saved by the size of his army;
no warrior escapes by his great strength.

¹⁷ A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;
despite all its great strength it cannot save.

¹⁸ But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,

and keep them alive in famine.

My great-uncle Frank loved to rile his sister-in-law, Clarice, by saying, 'I have 6 brothers and 6 sisters, 6 are Baptist and 6 are Christian." She never did laugh, but he did uproariously. I asked him to repeat himself and I laughed like mad. Frank said, 'Clarice never laughs.' We laughed harder and got to the point of tears. Clarice grumped by, saying it was an old joke. I told her, "It's your reaction that makes it so funny." Clarice finally saw it and she smiled. The truth was Frank admired Clarice, it would have been difficult not to. Good deeds, a sense of humor and a loving heart.

The Christian community gets grumpy with one another.

Once, walking along a bridge, and I saw this guy on the bridge about to jump. So I thought I’d try to stall and detain him, long enough for me to put the film in. I said, “Don’t jump!” and he turns… You’ve heard of the elephant man. He was kind of like that, he had a, well, you could say he had the head of a horse. And my heart went out to him. I said, “Why the long face?”
He said, ”’Cause all my life people have called me mean names like horses-head or Flicka or chess-piece or Trigger…”
I said, “Well, don’t worry about it, Ed. It can’t be that bad.”
He said, “My girlfriend’s suing me!”
I said, “For palomino?”
He said, “Why was I put on this Earth?”
I said, “My friend, anywhere else you wouldn’t stand a chance.”
He said, “Nobody loves me.”
I said, “God loves you, you silly ninny.”
He said, “How do you know there’s a God?”
I said, “Of course there’s a God. Do you think that billions of years ago a bunch of molecules floating around at random could someday have had the sense of humor to make you look like that?”
He said, “I do believe in God.”
I said, “Are you a Christian or a Jew?”

What is the point of all of this? Substitute any denomination/Church name you care to in the joke. Yet God works in the lives of us all. God works wonders in the hospital room were nothing in the room is truly right or righteous. Just sadness and a hope for His Grace. God will be there.

But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.

What followers of Christ believe is our mediator is Jesus Christ. If we have so many branches of Christianity, we must believe the Churches believing Jesus Christ is Lord, believing in the Scriptures are doing His work and working with Him on His great Plan. With mercy and kindness, His unfailing Love surrounds and supports us!

Father God, we pray for Your Church, You call Your Bride. Father, we are fragmented like the Tower of Babel, yet Your Plan stands firm. We pray for Your Church that in believing in Your Grace, believing in Your Word, Your Love will shine for Your Glory. Blessed be You, Father God, for giving us Jesus Christ. Amen.

Aware of this, Jesus withdrew from that place. Many followed him, and he healed all their sick, 16 warning them not to tell who he was. 17 This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:

      the one I love, in whom I delight;

   I will put my Spirit on him,

      and he will proclaim justice to the nations.

 19 He will not quarrel or cry out;

      no one will hear his voice in the streets.

 20 A bruised reed he will not break,

      and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out,

   till he leads justice to victory.

Matthew 1:21

She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.

At our Church, everyone has been asked to join a small group to work on the book “Just Walk Across the Room” by Bill Hybels. I adore my small group, I’ve known them all about 10 years. Evangelism is a difficult subject; I’ve planted seeds for 31 years and don’t know how God has watered them. We did ‘cliff notes’ on the book this last week (our book shipment is still in transit), it seems reasonable and balanced. When we love the Lord, we know He is the Father running to His son – we are that child of God. We want to share God’s love.

Matthew 3:17

And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."

Luke 9:34-35

While he was speaking, a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. A voice came from the cloud, saying, "This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him."

John 14:1-3

1"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going."

My Facebook discussion today was with some of my friends from my Pennsylvania High School; I never knew John Lennon had a born-again portion of his life (http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/music/news/2007/001-22.0.html)  and wasn’t aware Bob Dylan claims off and on to have left his behind.  Reading about the pressure to leave faith in Jesus’ salvation, it would be really tough to endure on a public scale. I haven’t ever had public pressure like that to leave my faith, but I have lost a child. I realized that apart from Jesus Christ, I have no good. The waters in life are too swift and deep for me to claim I row or steer my voyage in life without help. His Help. His Comforter. 

The Christian call to witness and evangelize, when taken seriously, can be overwhelming. But we should look to the Words God spoke to us. Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God.

There is too much beauty in life, in God’s eternal promises, not to rejoice! 

      Jesus, the one I love, in whom I delight;

His Holy Spirit

      and He will proclaim justice to the nations.

He will not quarrel or cry out;

      no one will hear his voice in the streets.

Let us be the praise He hears, we will sing!

you restored the fortunes of Jacob.

4 Restore us again, O God of our salvation,

5 Will you be angry with us forever?

Will you prolong your anger to all generations?

that your people may rejoice in you?

7 Show us your steadfast love, O Lord,

8 Let me hear what God the Lord will speak,

Recently a friend and I were discussing a movie recommended to us by another friend. It is a compilation of people being interviewed impromptu at an amusement park asking if they believe in Jesus and what they know of Him. I pointed out, Jesus was never very interested in popularity contests, but love, redemption, healing, sincerity. Faith isn’t because it is good to think and run with the crowd. She agreed and said it was rigged as well to make the interviewed people look ignorant by catching them off guard. 

We are continuing on with Jesus, Son of God, who chose to live as grace and truth dwelling among us:

Well, let’s talk about what people have believed, the archaeology that has cleared a path to belief. People have falsely accused Nazareth of not existing, the census of not being taken.    
   

Augustus’ census edicts (in connection with the Nativity) are borne out by an inscription at Ankara, Turkey, his famous Res Gestae ,"Things Accomplished" the emperor proudly claims to have taken a census three times.

Josephus, the Judean General turned Roman Historian wrote of Jesus in his book of Antiquities.

"At this time there was a wise man called Jesus, and his conduct was good, and he was known to be virtuous. Many people among the Jews and the other nations became his disciples. Pilate condemned him to be crucified, and to die. But those who had become his disciples did not abandon his discipleship. They reported that he had appeared to them three days after his crucifixion, and that he was alive. Accordingly, he was perhaps the Messiah, concerning whom the prophets have reported wonders. And the tribe of the Christians, so named after him, has not disappeared to this day" (Antiquities 20:200).

Scala Sancta, the Holy Stairs, transfered from the archaeological ruins of Pilate's Palace to the Vatican. The stairs are the stone seen through the wood. It is marvelous to see where Jesus' feet have traveled.

The apostles lived such lives of faith, after being the men hiding from the Roman & Temple authorities, they became blazing lights proclaiming Jesus Christ. Jesus  was being proclaimed and believed upon, in separate continents, many healings, lives changed in just a few short years after Jesus defeated death and rose again.

Yet it would be just wrong to just dwell on the archaeology; we are supposed to see with eyes of faith.  To remember Christianity isn’t a philosophy; it is a relationship, a life changing love. We want to show the love of the One who calls us to Him.  It isn’t our righteousness, it is His and His footsteps make a way.

16 "To what can I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out to others:

17 " 'We played the flute for you,

and you did not dance;

we sang a dirge

and you did not mourn.'

18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon.' 19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and "sinners." ' But wisdom is proved right by her actions."

20 Then Jesus began to denounce the cities in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent. 21 "Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! If the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you. 23 And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to the skies? No, you will go down to the depths. Yesterday we read portions of the first chapter of the Gospel of John. Gospel – a report regarded as true and implicitly believed, of prime importance, glad tidings. When meeting people, Jesus knew them exactly to their soul and they responded. Nathanael believed at the first few words with Jesus, He is the Christ.

Matthew saw Jesus’ time on earth as a celebration; Jesus came eating and drinking. All the Gospels agree, most people saw Jesus as a friend, immediately. Remember Jesus never asked a disciple more than once - Jesus loved them.

Capernaum was a city Jesus said would go down to the depths. Archaeology, also, goes down to the depths. Jesus lived in Capernaum, Matthew 4 records. What of Peter’s house; where Peter’s mother-in-law fixed Jesus dinner? It went from being the largest, most wealthy house in Capernaum, to becoming a house church. The walls were covered with graffiti, until the next Church was built at the site in the 5th century A.D. The graffiti was praise of Jesus, awe at being in the house where Jesus and Peter had fellowship. It is the only house in Capernaum where the plaster, on the walls, remains.

There is another archeological site that has the same graffiti, it is the tomb of Peter under the Vatican altar. Archaeology either dances at the evidence or it mourns, as all sites require faith – it is up to the eyes of faith to determine what we will believe.

I choose to see Jesus’ words and miracles are still revered and my soul - lifted up to the skies.

14 Keep reminding them of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen. 15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. 16 Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. 17 Their teaching will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, 18 who have wandered away from the truth. They say that the resurrection has already taken place, and they destroy the faith of some. 19 Nevertheless, God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness."

 20 In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for noble purposes and some for ignoble. 21 If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be an instrument for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.

 22 Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 23 Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. 24 And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 25 Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.

Here we hit the crux of the matter. Us. ‘How are you?’ may be the most inane, hypocritical thing we say to each other, yet it’s what we say to ourselves daily.  When you look up the 100 most sought after bible verses one of the top 5 is:

Jeremiah 29:11

 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Look at this passage. Is the meaning of your life noble or not? Imagine you get to do like the man in “The Shack” was invited. To sit down with Jesus Christ, put your life before Him, ask Him about the meaning of Your life and say, “Do You like my life – my work – am I doing it the way You wanted?” 

Here is a little of what He might say to you….

Remember the basic essentials.  Don’t nitpick, which chips away at the faith. It just wears everyone out. Concentrate on doing your best for Father God, laying out the truth plain and simple. Present yourself as one approved of by the Lord Most High.  Stay clear of pious talk that is only talk. Words are not mere words, you know. Back it by a godly life.

God's firm foundation is as firm as ever. Abba knows who belongs to Him. Continue to spurn evil.

 Some days you are crystal goblets and silver platters, and other days you are wooden bowls, water basins and compost buckets— containers used to serve fine meals, others to clean . Become the kind of container God can use. Let your efforts help and strengthen others in their godly path. When you do God's will, the meaning of your life is noble, holy, useful to Abba, to do any good work.

Run away from infantile indulgence and drama. Run after righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. The Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, you must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Those who oppose you, gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth . You never know how or when God might sober them up with a change of heart and a turning to the truth, enabling them to escape the Devil's trap, where they are caught and held captive, forced to run his will.

Love justice, love mercy, walk humbly with Me.
