John 19 ~ Testimony

Pontius Pilate left two signs for Archaeology to uncover his identity in Judea.

John 19

1 Then Pilate took Jesus and had him flogged. 2 The soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head. They clothed him in a purple robe 3 and went up to him again and again, saying, "Hail, king of the Jews!" And they struck him in the face.

The flogging instrument seen on the Shroud of Turrin. These are the Wounds of Jesus marks.

Sancta Sanctorum and Scala Sancta
These twenty-eight marble steps called the Scala Sancta (Holy Stairs) were the steps of the palace of Pontius Pilate in Jerusalem

4 Once more Pilate came out and said to the Jews, "Look, I am bringing him out to you to let you know that I find no basis for a charge against him." 5 When Jesus came out wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe, Pilate said to them, "Here is the man!"

6 As soon as the chief priests and their officials saw him, they shouted, "Crucify! Crucify!"
But Pilate answered, "You take him and crucify him. As for me, I find no basis for a charge against him."

7 The Jews insisted, "We have a law, and according to that law he must die, because he claimed to be the Son of God."

8 When Pilate heard this, he was even more afraid, 9 and he went back inside the palace. "Where do you come from?" he asked Jesus, but Jesus gave him no answer. 10 "Do you refuse to speak to me?" Pilate said. "Don't you realize I have power either to free you or to crucify you?"

11 Jesus answered, "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin."

12 From then on, Pilate tried to set Jesus free, but the Jews kept shouting, "If you let this man go, you are no friend of Caesar. Anyone who claims to be a king opposes Caesar."

13 When Pilate heard this, he brought Jesus out and sat down on the judge's seat at a place known as the Stone Pavement (which in Aramaic is Gabbatha). 14 It was the day of Preparation of Passover Week, about the sixth hour.

"Here is your king," Pilate said to the Jews.

15 But they shouted, "Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!" "Shall I crucify your king?" Pilate asked.

"We have no king but Caesar," the chief priests answered.

16 Finally Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified.

Earthquake historically recorded in Passover of A.D. 33 The rock was taken from Golgotha.

So the soldiers took charge of Jesus. 17 Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull (which in Aramaic is called Golgotha). 18 Here they crucified him, and with him two others—one on each side and Jesus in the middle.

19 Pilate had a notice prepared and fastened to the cross. It read: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS. 20 Many of the Jews read this sign, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and the sign was written in Aramaic, Latin and Greek. 21 The chief priests of the Jews protested to Pilate, "Do not write 'The King of the Jews,' but that this man claimed to be king of the Jews."
22 Pilate answered, "What I have written, I have written."

A cross seen with a sign "King of the Jews" Pilate had written in Aramaic, Latin and Greek. The ties would have held the condemned down to avoid the prisoners hanging crucified on the Passover & the condemned was nailed to the cross three times. To have death occur from trauma as well as suffocation.

23 When the soldiers crucified Jesus, they took his clothes, dividing them into four shares, one for each of them, with the undergarment remaining. This garment was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom.

A seamless robe is a garment created with great care. Unusual even today.

24 "Let's not tear it," they said to one another. "Let's decide by lot who will get it." This happened that the scripture might be fulfilled which said, "They divided my garments among them
and cast lots for my clothing."

So this is what the soldiers did.

25 Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.

26 When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, "Dear woman, here is your son," 27 and to the disciple, "Here is your mother." From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.

28 Later, knowing that all was now completed, and so that the Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, "I am thirsty." 29 A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus' lips.

30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

31 Now it was the day of Preparation, and the next day was to be a special Sabbath. Because the Jews did not want the bodies left on the crosses during the Sabbath, they asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies taken down. 32 The soldiers therefore came and broke the legs of the first man who had been crucified with Jesus, and then those of the other. 33 But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. 34 Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus' side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water.

35 The man who saw it has given testimony, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe. 36These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled: "Not one of his bones will be broken," 37and, as another scripture says, "They will look on the one they have pierced."

38 Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jews. With Pilate's permission, he came and took the body away. 39 He was accompanied by Nicodemus, the man who earlier had visited Jesus at night. Nicodemus brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds. 40 Taking Jesus' body, the two of them wrapped it, with the spices, in strips of linen. This was in accordance with Jewish burial customs. 41 At the place where Jesus was crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb, in which no one had ever been laid. 42 Because it was the Jewish day of Preparation and since the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there.

Josephus records Pilate's predecessors respected Jewish customs by removing images on their standards when entering Jerusalem, Pilate allowed his soldiers to antagonize the Jews several times very violently and unnecessarily.

Philo describes a similar incident, Pilate was chastened by Emperor Tiberius after antagonizing the Jews. Both report that Pilate repeatedly caused near-insurrections among the Jews because of his insensitivity to Jewish customs. In describing his personality, Philo writes Pilate had "vindictiveness and furious temper", and was "naturally inflexible, a blend of self-will and relentlessness."

There is a theory Pilate was deeply unsympathetic to the Jews because he worked for Lucius Aelius 'Seianus' under Emperor Tiberius. Seianus Death on the Gemonian stairs was considered extremely dishonourable and dreadful. Ordered by Tiberius and Pilate began to shape up for the loss of Seianus.

Eusebius stated Pilate suffered misfortune in the reign of Caligula (AD 37–41), was exiled to Gaul and killed himself there. The 10th century historian Agapius of Hierapolis says that Pilate killed himself during the first year of Caligula's reign, in AD 37/38.

How does this relate to us today?

Mary Magdalene is forever changed from meeting Jesus. She is new. She realized again the wonder of God and His Promises.

Pontius Pilate was never to have a post as high as the one where his wife warned him not to order the crucifixion of Jesus. Meeting Jesus, according to the Historians, changed his life. He was on a downward trajectory.

When we consider Jesus, hearts are revealed.

This occasionally intersects our lives - the response to Jesus as a new creation. For most of us, we are living our beliefs to some degree - reading this Post.

For me, each day, what occurs to me, after 5 decades of life and being told all my life "you are Not a morning person" - what has changed is I can feel Jesus' mercies to me renew each day. There is going to be a time in the morning to early afternoon - where I can feel the excitement of His Promises of Jesus being in my life. I am able to put down cares and concerns and take time to find a very pleasing gratitude of God in my life. Today. Knowing that as someone who loves Jesus, the door to Eternity is here.

The idea that if I have a bad day and let my concerns overshadow my joy - tomorrow is probably going to be better after I give my cares over to the One who cares for me most. Jesus has given me strength to find a way to find the way Jesus has made my day sufficient and good and I feel gratitude.

If we look for the signs God is paving a path to His Plan, we see those signs. Using our eyes of faith.

All of the story of Jesus is real. He bought us for Grace. And will have us to His Kingdom for Eternity.

Thank You, Father God.
For Your Son, Jesus.

Bless those I love. The People You have given to me.

I ask in Jesus the Lord for blessings upon Churches, this Nation and those who believe and will believe
in Jesus - across this world You want to save in Jesus Christ. Amen.

John 18 ~ Jesus of Nazarth. Jesus said to them, "I am

John 18

18 When Jesus had spoken these words, he went out with his disciples across the brook Kidron, where there was a garden, which he and his disciples entered.

2 Now Judas, who betrayed him, also knew the place, for Jesus often met there with his disciples. 3 So Judas, having procured a band of soldiers and some officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, went there with lanterns and torches and weapons.

4 Then Jesus, knowing all that would happen to him, came forward and said to them, “Whom do you seek?”

5 They answered him, “Jesus of Nazareth.”
Jesus said to them, “I am he.”

Judas, who betrayed him, was standing with them. 6 When Jesus said to them, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground.

7 So he asked them again, “Whom do you seek?”

And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”

8 Jesus answered, “I told you that I am he. So, if you seek me, let these men go.”

9 This was to fulfill the word that he had spoken: “Of those whom you gave me I have lost not one.” 10 Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest's servant and cut off his right ear. (The servant's name was Malchus.)

11 So Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into its sheath; shall I not drink the cup that the Father has given me?”

12 So the band of soldiers and their captain and the officers of the Jews arrested Jesus and bound him. 13 First they led him to Annas, for he was the father-in-law of

Caiaphas, who was high priest that year. 14 It was Caiaphas who had advised the Jews that it would be expedient that one man should die for the people.

15 Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple. Since that disciple was known to the high priest, he entered with Jesus into the courtyard of the high priest, 16 but Peter stood outside at the door. So the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to the servant girl who kept watch at the door, and brought Peter in.

17 The servant girl at the door said to Peter, “You also are not one of this man's disciples, are you?” He said, “I am not.” 18 Now the servants and officers had made a charcoal fire, because it was cold, and they were standing and warming themselves. Peter also was with them, standing and warming himself.

19 The high priest then questioned Jesus about his disciples and his teaching. 20 Jesus answered him, “I have spoken openly to the world. I have always taught in synagogues and in the temple, where all Jews come together. I have said nothing in secret. 21 Why do you ask me? Ask those who have heard me what I said to them; they know what I said.”

22 When he had said these things, one of the officers standing by struck Jesus with his hand, saying, “Is that how you answer the high priest?”

23 Jesus answered him, “If what I said is wrong, bear witness about the wrong; but if what I said is right, why do you strike me?” 24 Annas then sent him bound to Caiaphas the high priest.

25 Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. So they said to him, “You also are not one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it and said, “I am not.” 26 One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, asked, “Did I not see you in the garden with him?” 27 Peter again denied it, and at once a rooster crowed.

Scala Sancta

28 Then they led Jesus from the house of Caiaphas to the governor's headquarters. It was early morning. They themselves did not enter the governor's headquarters, so that they would not be defiled, but could eat the Passover.

29 So Pilate went outside to them and said, “What accusation do you bring against this man?”

30 They answered him, “If this man were not doing evil, we would not have delivered him over to you.”

31 Pilate said to them, “Take him yourselves and judge him by your own law.”

The Jews said to him, “It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death.” 32 This was to fulfill the word that Jesus had spoken to show by what kind of death he was going to die.

33 So Pilate entered his headquarters again and called Jesus and said to him, “Are you the King of the Jews?”

34 Jesus answered, “Do you say this of your own accord, or did others say it to you about me?”

35 Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered you over to me. What have you done?”

36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.”

37 Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?”

Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.”

38 Pilate said to him, “What is truth?”

After he had said this, he went back outside to the Jews and told them, “I find no guilt in him. 39 But you have a custom that I should release one man for you at the Passover. So do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?”

40 They cried out again, “Not this man, but Barabbas!” Now Barabbas was a robber

John 17 ~ You sent Jesus and loved us even as You loved Jesus

John 17

When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, 2 since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him.

3 And this is eternal life,
that they know you the only true God,
and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

4 I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. 5
And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.

6 “I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. 7 Now they know that everything that you have given me is from you. 8 For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me.

9 I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. 10 All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them. 11 And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father,
 keep them in your name,
which you have given me,
that they may be one, even as we are one.

12 While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

13 But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world,
that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

14 I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

17 Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.

20 “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one,

23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one,
so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.

24 Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. 26 I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”

Jesus is still at dinner for the New Covenant. Communion at that time was a meal.

I have never done a series of the New Testament back to back, and I fully know why. It is so hurtful to see what Jesus is about to suffer. For me. For you. This is like Holy Week. Jesus is in pain. This has caused me stress; I have only had slightly high Blood Pressure when my infant daughter died, and this is causing me elevated Blood Pressure. Rarely do I read through the crucifixion without tears. The Mayo Clinic doctors have described in great detail what Jesus suffered to die. And Jesus Lives.

Today I decided was the day to worry every person's prayers, even the ones they have discarded. I thought of invalids. I thought of my mother in law seeing her generation pass on and her pain. She says this is like the Black Plague. To attend this many funerals for people she has lived with all her life.

And I thought of all the news and all the talk and all the opinions and all the truly learned men. And I just worried.

In spite of the fact that with prayer, the Assyrian army went home. Literally Home.

And as I walked, I thought about God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of Power. And I felt a little better before the head cold and the sore throat set in.

The Good News of Jesus Christ is still the Good News.
Our emotions are not what holds up the King of Kings.
Our newspapers do not hold up The Father of ALL Creation.

Jesus well knows what is going to happen next to Him.
Jesus has the power to lay down and take up His Life. For us.

Romans 8:15
The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."

And from Luke 1 and 2 to John 21 - The Willingness of Jesus is beyond Compare.

Jesus tells us in the Chapter of His Life. HE has Joy. In this Dark Hour, Jesus, Lord of Lord, King of Kings says, "that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves."

The Body of Jesus Christ is the Light of the World.

The believers of God are His Lights. It is up to us to Shine for Him.

Father God,
You have given us Life. Help our soul to be a place You love to dwell.

In our lives, help us to have the wisdom and ability to explain that You are Life, Love, Peace, Joy, Comfort and Strength. That those we Love are warmed and held by Your Love.

The Nation is experiencing economic upset, help Your people to be calm and hopeful in You. It is hard for people creating jobs to put effort into their products when war and terror are always discussed. Help us to educate with wisdom and employ with neighborliness.

We ask Your Help and Guidance for the Nation, the states, the places where we live, the People You have given us. Let Your Love shine. In Jesus, Amen.

John 16 ~ I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world

John 16

“I have said all these things to you to keep you from falling away. 2 They will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God. 3 And they will do these things because they have not known the Father, nor me. 4 But I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told them to you.

“I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you. 5 But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ 6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.

7 Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. 8 And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; 10 concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; 11 concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.

13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. 14 He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. 15 All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

16 “A little while, and you will see me no longer; and again a little while, and you will see me.”

17 So some of his disciples said to one another, “What is this that he says to us, ‘A little while, and you will not see me, and again a little while, and you will see me’; and, ‘because I am going to the Father’?”

18 So they were saying, “What does he mean by ‘a little while’? We do not know what he is talking about.”

19 Jesus knew that they wanted to ask him, so he said to them, “Is this what you are asking yourselves, what I meant by saying, ‘A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me’? 20 Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy. 21 When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world. 22 So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. 23 In that day you will ask nothing of me.

Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

25 “I have said these things to you in figures of speech. The hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures of speech but will tell you plainly about the Father.

26 In that day you will ask in my name, and I do not say to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf; 27 for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. 28 I came from the Father and have come into the world, and now I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”

29 His disciples said, “Ah, now you are speaking plainly and not using figurative speech!

30 Now we know that you know all things and do not need anyone to question you; this is why we believe that you came from God.”

31 Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe? 32 Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me.

33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

The hopeful mood changes.

Now the Disciples are recorded as being talkative during the Last Supper or The New Covenant. And we know they have chatted during most of their time and asked each other for a grounding or earthly opinion. This group truly did act like siblings with a Parent.

These men have now been just about a declaration of War on the Roman Empire. Thomas recently has said in truth, we will die with Jesus. This has been a long dinner for them. And Jesus up until the beginning of John 16 has said some very beautiful things.

Now He is promising worse times are ahead for them. Josephus would agree. Josephus lists about 1.5 or 2 million are the numbers for multitudes in Jerusalem. Acts starts out with multitudes in the Temple - Just for Jesus. Josephus is going to go on to say by Passover 65 A.D. Passover is above 3 million. It looks like A.D. 65, The Temple is just going to chug on forever having killed God's Son.

To add cream to being thrown out of the Temple, Jesus is saying He is going away. Now if you'd spent your 3 years with the Rising Son of God - you would be Very Upset.

To top this off - now Jesus is going to talk about Judgment.

Where is Jesus GOING NOW? They have told HIM - Jesus has the Words of Life. Thomas has said he will die with Jesus and Jesus is Going???

The men are clearly puzzled why sometimes Jesus is so clear and next, they just cannot fathom this dire talk. Yet, they know not only are the secondary Temple Officials really angry with Jesus' power and the interest given to His opinions and miracles. Now, Pilate who has slaughtered Jews for attending Passover - is going to hear about the crowd with the Palms declaring Jesus as Victor.

Sorrow is now with this room to a large extent. They want Jesus to know He is clearly God and they believe. More than likely they are trying to get Jesus to stay or to take them with Him.

Jesus tells this declaring loyal group - He is going to be alone and they will too.

Next He says to this group of tired, afraid, loyal men that He has overcome the world in all of their scattered isolation.

You know if you had followed with Seeing ALL the Miracles of Jesus and Loved JESUS, this would put you feeling like disaster was coming to this good, amazing, miraculous Prophet, the Son of God and this seems to say expect horror, isolation and desertion with Jesus saying He has overcome the world.

These men knew long days going across the Sea of Galilee. They walked 16 miles to a wedding and 16 miles back to Capernaum. These Disciples had followed Jesus immediately when the Temple officials were already gunning for Jesus. Luke 4 and 5.

You would want to sleep next. This is so much trouble.

Jesus, being God, was not catering to their need for comfort or exact answers. Jesus was giving them prophecy that in turbulent times, no other puzzle would fit the slot. That they would see they played exactly into the prophecy and that Jesus would show Himself again to be God.

Although the Dinner was closing with complete worry, Jesus was truly seeing way past and nurturing them all.

Father God,

When the Wild Winds of Life Howl, help me to believe You will work Your Plan for a Hope and a Future. Knowing that we all live the Prodigal Son Story.

Jesus had just told His Disciples, He was going away with God in Jesus. And still, Jesus as God was nourishing His Beloved and Strengthening them to do Life - bringing them Home to Father God. Who as God, the Father, would be looking for the Prodigal Son and the elder son - going to be with His Beloved.

And as Jesus said, and Father God to the eldest sons in this room - I am with You Always.

Father help me always to do Your Will and Your Ways. To Delight in You. To see the Good, to hope for More Good and see as David always did - Your willingness to be Steadfast Love. We are the Easter People and Jesus is our Song.

Let this be so for the ones we love, and the People You have given us.

We thank You for Your Goodness to us and will look each day to find Your Goodness You have provided.
Amen in Jesus.

About Me

Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
