Reading Scripture helps us know God's Love. Every Bible verse is written for you. Jesus Christ is all mankind's Light. John 1!

Ephesians 4:1-16 ~ builds itself up in Love

Romans 6
You have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. 18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness

Ephesians 4:1-16

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

7 But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ's gift.

8 Therefore it says,

“When he ascended on high he led a host of captives,
and he gave gifts to men.”

9 (In saying, “He ascended,” what does it mean but that he had also descended into the lower regions, the earth? 10 He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.)

11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, 14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.

15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.

Walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace

Fight the Good Fight

Luke 9

And he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, 2 and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal. 3 And he said to them, “Take nothing for your journey, no staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not have two tunics. 4 And whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart. 5 And wherever they do not receive you, when you leave that town shake off the dust from your feet as a testimony against them.” 6 And they departed and went through the villages,
preaching the gospel
and healing everywhere.

There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. 7 But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ's gift.

8 Therefore it says,
“When he ascended on high he led a host of captives,
and he gave gifts to men.”

Luke 9

10 On their return the apostles told him all that they had done.

And he took them and withdrew apart to a town called Bethsaida. 11 When the crowds learned it, they followed him, and he welcomed them and spoke to them of the kingdom of God and cured those who had need of healing.

12 Now the day began to wear away, and the twelve came and said to him, “Send the crowd away to go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find lodging and get provisions, for we are here in a desolate place.”

13 But he said to them, “You give them something to eat.”

They said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish—unless we are to go and buy food for all these people.”

14 For there were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.” 15 And they did so, and had them all sit down. 16 And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing over them. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd.

17 And they all ate and were satisfied. And what was left over was picked up, twelve baskets of broken pieces

9 (In saying, “He ascended,” what does it mean but that he had also descended into the lower regions, the earth? 10 He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.)

Luke 9
18 Now it happened that as he was praying alone, the disciples were with him. And he asked them, “Who do the crowds say that I am?” 19 And they answered, “John the Baptist. But others say, Elijah, and others, that one of the prophets of old has risen.” 20 Then he said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” And Peter answered, “The Christ of God.”

21 And he strictly charged and commanded them to tell this to no one, 22 saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.”

11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,
so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning,
by craftiness in deceitful schemes.

Luke 9
25 For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself? 26

For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. 27 But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.”

15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.

Luke 7
34 As he was saying these things, a cloud came and overshadowed them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud

35 And a voice came out of the cloud, saying,
“This is my Son, my Chosen One; listen to him!”

Abba,

With Jesus, We will be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. With Jesus we will be equipped to work properly, and build us up in Love.

With Jesus we will pay much closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it. Our Jesus will not depart from us. We will walk and live in Truth and Love.

In the Strength of Jesus we will lift drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed. Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

For ourselves and those we Love, we ask in Jesus every day to seek God's Kingdom first. To live in Love, Peace and Joy. And in all these things we are more than conquerors through Jesus who loved us.

In the Highest Name of Jesus Christ,

Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name, by the greatness of God's might, and because He is strong in power, not one is missing!

Amen Lord Jesus, Amen.

1 Corinthians 16 ~ My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Papyrus 46, 1 Corinthians 13. First or Second Century Papyrus. Leaf 73 is 1 Corinthians 16, possibly smaller and unavailable on the photograph list. Included in Chapters of Papyrus 46 available from The University of Michigan. The University of Michigan did a large study on the way the Chapters fit on to the sheet of Papyrus. Calculations were made by the scribe to use the Papyrus wisely. Wouldn't this be wonderful to know if the scribe was looking at Paul's handwriting. Or if the strokes of the quill matched the pattern of Paul's handwriting.

1 Corinthians 16

Now concerning the collection for the saints: as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you also are to do. 2 On the first day of every week, each of you is to put something aside and store it up, as he may prosper, so that there will be no collecting when I come. 3 And when I arrive, I will send those whom you accredit by letter to carry your gift to Jerusalem. 4 If it seems advisable that I should go also, they will accompany me.

5 I will visit you after passing through Macedonia, for I intend to pass through Macedonia, 6 and perhaps I will stay with you or even spend the winter, so that you may help me on my journey, wherever I go. 7 For I do not want to see you now just in passing. I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits. 8 But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost, 9 for a wide door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.

10 When Timothy comes, see that you put him at ease among you, for he is doing the work of the Lord, as I am. 11 So let no one despise him. Help him on his way in peace, that he may return to me, for I am expecting him with the brothers. 12 Now concerning our brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to visit you with the other brothers, but it was not at all his will to come now. He will come when he has opportunity.

13 Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. 14 Let all that you do be done in love.

15 Now I urge you, brothers—you know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints— 16 be subject to such as these, and to every fellow worker and laborer. 17 I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have made up for your absence, 18 for they refreshed my spirit as well as yours. Give recognition to such people.

19 The churches of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Prisca, together with the church in their house, send you hearty greetings in the Lord.  20 All the brothers send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss.

21 I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. 22 If anyone has no love for the Lord, let him be accursed. Our Lord, come!

23 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. 24 My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Bodner Papyrus Letters of Peter (not Paul) Letters of Scripture.

.Why would God include .....Papyrus obviously more of a personal letter?

When you read the entire Chapter oF Deuteronomy, 34 Chapters, the word "I" occurs 161 times. About five times in a Chapter in Deuteronomy the word "I" is used. And in Deuteronomy, "I" sometimes refers to the Exact Words God was speaking to Moses and Aaron. Sometimes Aaron and Moses are speaking to each other about what God the Almighty has said.

Paul is vastly different.
The Holy Spirit is speaking differently with different talents and in the New Covenant.

I Corinthians is half the number of Chapters Deuteronomy has and the word "I" is used 121 times. Paul is referring to Paul 18 times in this one Chapter. Paul refers to ownership three times with the word "my". Paul's handwriting, Paul's love. Paul's spirit.

Why? The New Covenant.

Ezekiel understood this during the Second Exile in Babylon, with the Exodus being the First Exile.

Ezekiel 36

26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes and to carefully observe My ordinances. 28 Then you will live in the land that I gave your forefathers; you will be My people, and I will be your God.

Also ~ Jeremiah 31:31-34; Isaiah 42:6; Isaiah 54:10; Jeremiah 32:40; Ezekiel 37:26; Hebrews 8:8-12; Hebrews 10:16-17

Paul says he will do something in a letter to Timothy, "After I know how it will go with me." Here Paul says he hopes and he intends, and let all you do be done in love. If it seems advisable that I should go also, they will accompany me. Paul is listening to his soul in Jesus.

A lot of the "I" of Paul is his action.

What is similar to this? Love. John tells us in all of John's Books we will need to understand God is Love before we apply God to our lives and decisions.

Jesus tells us in the Ten Talents, the servant with ten talents sees His Master as Good. He is willing to take on new opportunities, when given them, instead of shrinking back. Paul was amazing in going forth like Lazarus, "unburdened." There are a lot of "greetings" given and planned for. Faith allows us to worry less. Well, even the Disciples worried.

Optimism - noted, highly optimistic. And be watchful, there will be trouble. Let all you do be done with love.

Abba,

Recently Isaiah's Bulla Seal was found. There was a thumbprint, probably of Isaiah. And the marks of the letters were probably made by Isaiah himself. We have found the handwriting of Isaiah. A Gift of God.

We give You thanks for Jesus and His Holy Spirit. And recognize we do not yet have Paul's handwriting, we are within the ability to use our Holy Spirit to feel Jesus direct our lives and participate with continual prayer and looking for our Blessings like Easter Eggs. To know the Scriptures and know the Power of God.

We are privileged in Jesus to say with His Authority and Grace upon Grace, we want to see more Heaven upon earth for Your Good Will. Privileged to know to be Grateful for Give us this Day. To know that the Transfiguration was given for John to Recognize Jesus. To know His Kingdom, His Power and His Glory. To do like Isaiah and say with awe and wonder, "Send me, Lord!" And in the Wonder of God to have the ability to find more Blessings and give Comfort as we have been Comforted.

Thank You for Jesus and Your Holy Spirit ~ Comforter.

Blessed to ask for Your Help to seek and find Your Kingdom first. To ask to live in Love, Peace and Joy. To have You as our Strength.

To pray impudently until the last hour for those we Love. To have Jesus and know the Wonder of His Life guiding us. In this day - this give me the Day.

In the Steadfast Love of God for yesterday, today and tomorrow - Your Creation is Good. To say to You, delight us to see Nations come to Your Glory in Jesus Christ.

Today ~
We remember the Gulf of Mexico suddenly did not have an oil spill in 2010. In History - that is still today! To know this year Australia received plenty of rain.

Yesterday ~
Olivier de Châlus has loved Notre Dam and now he has smelled the timber of a forest harvested in 1100's Middle Ages. And in the Notre Dam walls, we will know how Notre Dam was constructed. We will find where the limestone from around the world originated. We find Yesterday in History. Parts of the Cathedral unseen are now seen.

Tomorrow~

We will find more, we are assured in the Holy Spirit. And in expectation of God, we Believe Notre Dam will rise and so will we with our loved Ones in Jesus Christ.

Reading wonderful articles like this on Notre Dam.

Matthew 12:1-12 ~ I desire mercy, and not sacrifice

Matthew 12:1-12

1 At that time Jesus went through the grain fields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry, and they began to pluck heads of grain and to eat. 2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to him, "Look, your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath." 3 He said to them, "Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, and those who were with him: 4 how he entered the house of God and ate the bread of the Presence, which it was not lawful for him to eat nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests? 5 Or have you not read in the Law how on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath and are guiltless? 6 I tell you, something greater than the temple is here. 7 And if you had known what this means, 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the guiltless. 8 For the Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath."

9 He went on from there and entered their synagogue. 10 And a man was there with a withered hand. And they asked him, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?"— so that they might accuse him. 11 He said to them, "Which one of you who has a sheep, if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not take hold of it and lift it out? 12 Of how much more value is a man than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath." 13 Then he said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And the man stretched it out, and it was restored, healthy like the other. 14 But the Pharisees went out and conspired against him, how to destroy him.

15 Jesus, aware of this, withdrew from there. And many followed him, and he healed them all 16 and ordered them not to make him known. 17 This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah:

18 "Behold, my servant whom I have chosen,
my beloved with whom my soul is well pleased.
I will put my Spirit upon him,
and he will proclaim justice to the Gentiles.
19 He will not quarrel or cry aloud,
nor will anyone hear his voice in the streets;
20 a bruised reed he will not break,
and a smoldering wick he will not quench,
until he brings justice to victory;
21 and in his name the Gentiles will hope."

A Sunday a few years ago, I have a blessed memory to sit with my Church family and my mom, her wonderful boyfriend Jack and my husband to hear a wonderful sermon partially on the do not be anxious Scripture. We were God's wheat sitting in His wheat field! Growing on that warm Sunday to be fruitful for God.

Matthew 6:25-34

"Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 28And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, 29yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

31Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

34 "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

We talked about a woman who was weeping over more testing needed for re-occurring cancer and was letting me know how she was feeling guilt-stricken that Jesus would not want her to be fearful.

Our sermon was about not dwelling on the hurts of the past to grab the peace God would give us as a gift. A supernatural gift. An amazing thing. The Gift of Peace. Suddenly.

My mom turned to me - glowing - and said it was the best sermon she'd heard in a long time.

God does not want us to suffer in worry over what He is willing to do for us. God is willing to become man, living as truth and grace among us. Understanding our sufferings. Weeping with Lazarus' sisters, freeing people from their illnesses and hurts. Dancing with David in victory.

When we look at today's passage, we see wheat - a harvest of fruitfulness in progress. We see Jesus commenting on getting sheep out of a pit. We have an incredible gift - a miracle of a restored hand from Father God. We are all talking about the same thing. Acts of God. Jesus is telling us His is merciful. Fruit must have time to grow. Supernatural gifts must have room to be celebrated. The man with the restored hand was that sheep in a pit.

The woman who was afraid, about cancer testing, wanted to be strengthened. Jesus is that kind of Savior. He is the Savior willing to be merciful to us as we grow in Him. The lady who was weeping last week, looks forward in hope this week. She did fine and had a very unexpected turn in life to have far more Joy. Never give up on God.

Jesus tells us over and over about God's willingness. This is why in all circumstances, in good times, in difficulty, Jesus is our Hope.

1 John 3

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.
Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

3 And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.

19 By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him; 20 for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything. 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; 22 and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him. 23 And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us. 24 Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.

Abba,

Thank You for this day. Thank You for my life. Thank You for the Book of Life.

Thank You for Jesus. Thank You for Jesus. Thank You for Jesus.

And in His Temple, all cry, “Glory!”
The Lord sits enthroned over the flood; the Lord sits enthroned as King forever. May the Lord give strength to his people!

Abba, Thank You for giving us Your Word. We pray for more Heaven on earth. For Your Good Will.
Thank You for this Day. Help us to build Your Blessings and hold our Truth. Give us the Blessing of Seeking You First. Let us live in Love, Joy and Peace.

Cover us in the Love and Mercy of Jesus and His Name. We ask this for our Nation and the nations coming to Your Brightness. We ask all Your willing Blessings for ourselves and our Loved ones.

Help the ones we Love to be guided and blessed by You .

Please bless Elliott and Dee with good health. Bless Jim. And for those caring for the ill. For our families to live in Love and be Your Pleasure.

Jesus is God. Amen.

Acts 1:1-11 ~ Into Heaven

Acts 1:1-11

1 In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach, 2 until the day when he was taken up, after he had given commands through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. 3 He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.

4 And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me; 5 for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

6 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”

7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” 9 And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.

10 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes,  and said:
“Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven?

This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven,
will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Psalm 19

A psalm of David.

1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.

In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
5 It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
6 It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;

and
nothing is deprived of its warmth.

7 The law of the Lord is perfect,
              refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,
making wise the simple.
8 The precepts of the Lord are right,
giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant,
giving light to the eyes.
9 The fear of the Lord is pure,
enduring forever.
The decrees of the Lord are firm,
and all of them are righteous.

10 They are more precious than gold,
than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey,
than honey from the honeycomb.
11 By them your servant is warned;
in keeping them there is great reward.

12 But who can discern their own errors?
Forgive my hidden faults.
13 Keep your servant also from willful sins;
may they not rule over me.
Then I will be blameless,
innocent of great transgression.

14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

It's a little startling this century has so many parallels to the Book of Acts in the First and Second Century.

Lightning strikes are up to a record high. Flooding, Fires, Droughts. Arson. War. Violence. In third world nations, death by Lightning strike due to lack of cover is an incredible ongoing weather map on Weather Underground. This was the same in the first and second Centuries. Even today the Roman History lists the bizarre deaths by Lightning.

Violent Crime was up. Marriage Laws were recreated. Families inherited businesses for stability and, in these centuries, the Roman Empire was as vast in wealth as the USA today - this really only compares additionally to the Renaissance. Trade suddenly had war and violence to deal with. Everyone just felt uncomfortable in general and this was the beginning of walled city states. A general distrust of one another like Halloween candy. People wondered if the end of the world was at hand, this is very Historically accurate.

Gradually, times changed. The Good Sunday School Answer never failing is - Jesus. And the action we find changing the world in the Book of Acts is what occurred to me on Sunday at Church. "May I pray for you now?" A huge hug and an amazing prayer. From someone in their own emotional pain from a recently departed sibling. Few of us live with Ozzie and Harriet families. The culture of life intersects the brokenness of the world. And real hope comes from the real life events brave people share with one another.

What brought about another 1,000 years of Roman Empire? The Expectation of Jesus.

Prayer with belief. Faith. Overcoming what is inadequate. Less than warm. Overcoming what life brings you, to what your soul will willingly expect from God. Doing our best to avoid the abyss potholes to bring Love and Hope. The Book of Acts records ' Prayer. To pray and believe in all answers of prayer - God has answered. Even to say - wait or - no.

Paul is not recorded standing on a pulpit and castigating the culture which was less than perfect. Paul gave Love and parental Love and concern. Paul expected God to bring forth what we could not and for us to Trust God. When we flip through the Paul written with the Holy Spirit pages - we find Paul had an overwhelming Love for the people he spoke of Salvation in Jesus.

Matthew 17:5
He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.”

Colossians 3:12
Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience

Ephesians 1:6
To the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.

Romans 1:7
To all those in Rome who are loved by God and called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

Consider the Brothers of Jesus, sons of Mary and Joseph

Jude 1:3
Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.

James 2:5
Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him?

Abba,

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Jesus to the praise of Your glorious grace, with which You have blessed us in the Beloved.

Beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

We pray and ask Jesus, as in John 17, to pray with us that we will contend for the Faith and remain God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.

Beloved Jesus, thank You, I am well pleased; we will listen to Jesus.
And ask Jesus to Bless those we Love with all Your Willing Blessings.

And ask Your Steadfast, Scripture Solutions, immovable, always abounding work of Jesus to Bless the Nation Trusting in You. And have Your Light and Love shine to the Nations, blessing Your Good Creation.

We lift up Dee for healing for her back and shoulder and neck. Jim for his biopsy to be good. And all those asking for prayer. Thanking God for Elliott's Healing.

Thank You, Jesus, Amen.

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He has saved all who call upon His name and rely on Him for His Grace. The Scriptures are living & active and are for understanding the Lord Almighty. Biblical readings are chosen from the Ecumenical Christian Church and the Nicene Council, 325 A.D., approved Apocrypha. People remember not just from reading, but by sight and orally- an image has been added as well as audio readings. God tends to link the passages together with fascinates - this blogger, Anne-Laurel Gardere

A simple blog, scripture-for-today.blogspot

This blog is pretty simple, but for a reason. This blog isn't about agenda or me, it is for the joy and love to found by reading the Scriptures. Ultimately, it is you and the Lord.

The Scriptures are Father God's letter to you. He wanted you to know more, to know He loves you.

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
