John 7:14-31 ~ Jesus proclaimed, as He taught in the Temple

Dinner in White
The color Revelation tells us is the main choice in Heaven

John 7:14-31

Lectionary, Evening Prayer, January 29, 2023

14 About the middle of the feast, Jesus went up into the Temple and began teaching.

Flavius Josephus (37 - 100 AD) Jewish general and member of the Jewish priestly aristocracy, turned to the Roman Empire during the destruction of Jerusalem 70 AD. Josephus moved to Rome as historian to three Caesars.

Josephus records the High Holy Days saw 2 million pilgrims
The sacrifices made had accounting work, Josephus goes into intricate detail.

15 The Jews therefore marveled, saying, “How is it that this man has learning, when he has never studied?”

16 So Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but His Who sent me. 17 If anyone's will is to do God's will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority. 18 The one who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood. 19 Has not Moses given you the law? Yet none of you keeps the law. Why do you seek to kill me?”

20 The crowd answered, “You have a demon! Who is seeking to kill you?”

21 Jesus answered them, “I did one work, and you all marvel at it. 22 Moses gave you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath. 23 If on the Sabbath a man receives circumcision, so that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because on the Sabbath I made a man's whole body well? 24 Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.”

25 Some of the people of Jerusalem therefore said, “Is not this the man whom they seek to kill? 26 And here he is, speaking openly, and they say nothing to him! Can it be that the authorities really know that this is the Christ? 27 But we know where this man comes from, and when the Christ appears, no one will know where he comes from.”

28 So Jesus proclaimed, as He taught in the temple,

“You know me, and you know where I come from.

But I have not come of my own accord. He who sent me is true, and him you do not know. 29 I know him, for I come from him, and He sent me.”

30 So they were seeking to arrest him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.

31 Yet many of the people believed in him. They said, “When the Christ appears, will He do more signs than this man has done?”

In my life, I've believed, when you have trouble, Jesus is going to give us something in Scriptures to assure us He has seen the trouble before and will give us His answers. And as I realized this to be true, I found Scriptures don't just tell us once, the answers and situations repeat.

From the first day of Jesus ministry, huge, large crowds gathered to see Jesus easily heal. To understand the wisdom of Jesus. The ease Jesus had with His Father. Beloved.

John 7 tells us a detail of the Life of Jesus.

28 So Jesus proclaimed, as He taught in the temple,

"You know me, and you know where I come from."

The Sanhedrin Council left records. We call them the Talmud. And the records are in Scotland, writing and to tell us about Mary. The false narrative, very false, narrative, of Jesus trial and condemnation. Why? The Emperors of Rome, within 16 years of the first Easter, were beside themselves with anger about Jesus and his trial, the Roman Empire talked about. Just as the Herods had to be educated in Rome as children, Herod had to respond like a dog and a hoop to Rome. Nothing was going to be left to History about Jesus, until we find Josephus reporting this. Some are, later, easily seen as falsified to be more glorious, but the bones are worthy of Josephus speaking of Jesus. James.

Jesus tells us Himself

Now in John's Gospel Chapter 7 and later in the Road to Emmaus, we read again all of Israel knew of Jesus. Luke 3 identifies as the Davidic background of Mary in the false Talmud. But Israel knew the tribes within the Tribes, and so did the Sanhedrin Council. They knew each other right well.  Similar to ancient Rome. Julius Caesar was known as the offspring of David were known, within their communities.

If a priest is completing service to the Temple, sees an Angel and goes mute. Later having a miraculous child, in old age, the Temple knows. And then the Angel is reported again in the priest household, with Mary telling Elizabeth. We can see what would happen if alabaster flasks are turned to wine in front of all the servants to understand, precisely.

Jesus is and was
GLORIOUS

How would the Bible answer this? Great question.

Matthew 5:14-16

"You are the light of the world.
A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand,
and it gives light to all in the house.

In the same way, let your light shine before others,
so that they may see your good works
and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. "

Abba, Father!

No one can fill us, but You.
No one can heal us, but You.
No one Saves us, but Jesus Christ.

You are the ALL in ALL.

What we cannot do
what we cannot be,
You fill every Dot and Iota we cannot.

Jesus Christ is the Only Beloved Son to You
and Savior to our world.
Jesus Christ saves me.
When we profess within our heart
and speak with our lips...
- We are Saved by Jesus.

Abba, dwell in me.
Dwell in those I love.
Help us to seek You first.
And we will finish well in Jesus Christ!

Give us the Day.
Help us to be the Beloved of God.
We are known exactly as we are.
Loved.
God is Joy. God of mercy. God of Love.
You are our Daily Bread.
Your Joy is to give us the Kingdom.
We need Your Grace, Your Joy
Your Comfort, Your Help.
Holy Spirit Helper every day.
Thank You, Faithful God. Our Father in Jesus Christ.

We Pray
together as the Beloved of God
in community with the Word of God
and in the Communion of the Saints
for many millenniums.
Wow, Father God. Abba.
You call us Beloved.

For this reason,
because we have heard of your faith
in the Lord Jesus
and your love
toward all the saints,

We do not cease to give thanks for you,
remembering you in my prayers,
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of glory,
may give us the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation
in the knowledge of Him,
having the eyes of our hearts enlightened,
that we may know what is the hope to which
He has called
you

The riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints,
and
what is the immeasurable greatness of His Power
toward us
who believe

According to the working of His Great Might
that He
worked in Christ
when He raised Him from the dead
and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places.

 far above all rule
and authority
 and power
and dominion,
and above every name that is named,
not only in this age
but also in the one to come.

And He put all things under His feet

 and
gave Him as head over all things to the church,
which is His Body

The Fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Blessed be the Name of Jesus
and Blessed be His people
now and forever,
in Jesus Christ
Son of our Father, Almighty God.

Forever and ever.
Alleluia
AMEN

Daniel 1 ~ God gave Daniel favor and compassion †

Cuneiform in the British Museum describing the Exile in the Babylonian Kingdom

Daniel 1

1 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it. 2 And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with some of the vessels of the house of God. And he brought them to the land of Shinar, to the house of his god, and placed the vessels in the treasury of his god.

Jehoakim Cuneiform: explaining the food rationing of the King and his named sons. Later, Cuneiform explain the sons and Jehoakim were welcomed to eat at the Chaldean Emperor's table daily.

3 Then the king commanded Ashpenaz, his chief eunuch, to bring some of the people of Israel, both of the royal family and of the nobility, 4 youths without blemish, of good appearance and skillful in all wisdom, endowed with knowledge, understanding learning, and competent to stand in the king's palace, and to teach them the literature and language of the Chaldeans.

5 The king assigned them a daily portion of the food that the king ate, and of the wine that he drank. They were to be educated for three years, and at the end of that time they were to stand before the king. 6 Among these were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah of the tribe of Judah. 7 And the chief of the eunuchs gave them names: Daniel he called Belteshazzar, Hananiah he called Shadrach, Mishael he called Meshach, and Azariah he called Abednego.

8 But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king's food, or with the wine that he drank. Therefore he asked the chief of the eunuchs to allow him not to defile himself.

And God gave
Daniel favor and compassion in the sight of the chief of the eunuchs

And the chief of the eunuchs said to Daniel, “I fear my lord the king, who assigned your food and your drink; for why should he see that you were in worse condition than the youths who are of your own age? So you would endanger my head with the king.”

11 Then Daniel said to the steward whom the chief of the eunuchs had assigned over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, 12 “Test your servants for ten days; let us be given vegetables to eat and water to drink. 13 Then let our appearance and the appearance of the youths who eat the king's food be observed by you, and deal with your servants according to what you see.”

14 So he listened to them in this matter, and tested them for ten days. 15 At the end of ten days it was seen that they were better in appearance and fatter in flesh than all the youths who ate the king's food. 16 So the steward took away their food and the wine they were to drink, and gave them vegetables.

17 As for these four youths, God gave them
learning and skill in all literature and wisdom, and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

18 At the end of the time, when the king had commanded that they should be brought in, the chief of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar. 19 And the king spoke with them, and among all of them none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Therefore they stood before the king. 20 And in every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters that were in all his kingdom.

21 And Daniel was there until the first year of King Cyrus.

 Cyrus' Cylinder

1995 Dr. Bryant Wood found Cyrus's Cylinder, declaring freedom for captives in Babylon to return to Israel and rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and the temple. Ezra 1:2-4

The Babylonian Exile is well recorded by the Old Testament and the Chaldean Empire
and matches the Old Testament in the Babylonian Exile.

Free Will vs God's Will

The Lord reminds us His Will or the Will of the individual. Who wins out.   We tend to think the Lord doesn't dabble within the free will of mankind. The Lord is the Almighty, He will do what is needed. Teach. Help. Comfort. Prodigal Son. Seeds.

I always find hope in Daniel 1. God helping in bleak circumstance.

Daniel 1 is Heaven on earth, God's Good Will be done. To know Scriptures is to know the Power of God. The Lord upholds the Universe with the Power of His Word.

Abba, Father,

Today my family, my sons and husband gather to see
my mother-in-law, a weekend in Dallas.
Good to see everyone, in tender hearts.

Behold, how good and pleasant it is
    when brothers dwell in unity!
It is like the precious oil on the head,
    running down on the beard,
on the beard of Aaron,
running down on the collar of his robes!
It is like the dew of Hermon,
which falls on the mountains of Zion!
For there the Lord has commanded the blessing,
    life forevermore.

I'm praying for many blessings.

We ask many blessing for this nation
and the recovery of the cold of pandemic worldwide.

Dwell in us
and the people we love.
Help us to seek You first.
In Jesus, we will finish well.

Thank You, Father,
for Your many Blessings.
Now and always.
Amen.

Romans 12:19 ~ Beloved

Romans 12:19

Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God,
for it is written,
“Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.

Jesus said this exactly the best.

Luke 10:20

Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you,
but rejoice that your
names are written in heaven.

Is it right God would have anger?  The Collect or Collect for Purity prays like this:

Almighty God, to whom all hearts are open, all desires known, and from whom no secrets are hidden: cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy name; through Christ our Lord. Amen

And is from Scriptures:

Hebrews 4:13

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight.
Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him
to whom we must give account

We know Mothers Against Drunk Drivers, MADD, came from personal experiences of pain and loss. Why would we claim God is unreasonable or without wisdom? Justice.

Mark 12:1-2

And he began to speak to them in parables. “A man planted a vineyard and put a fence around it and dug a pit for the winepress and built a tower, and leased it to tenants and went into another country. 2 When the season came, he sent a servant to the tenants to get from them some of the fruit of the vineyard. 3 And they took him and beat him and sent him away empty-handed.

4 Again he sent to them another servant, and they struck him on the head and treated him shamefully.

5 And he sent another, and him they killed. And so with many others: some they beat, and some they killed.

6 He had still one other, a beloved son. Finally he sent him to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’

7 But those tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’

8 And they took him and killed him and threw him out of the vineyard.

9 What will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the tenants and give the vineyard to others. 10 Have you not read this Scripture:

“‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; 11 this was the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?”

Matthew 5

14 But solid food is for the mature,
who by constant use
have trained themselves
to distinguish good from evil.

Ephesians 4

25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood
and speak truthfully to his neighbor,
for we are all members of one another.
26“Be angry, yet do not sin.”
Do not let the sun set upon your anger,
and do not give the devil a foothold.

Proverbs 17:14

14 The beginning of strife is like letting out water,
so quit before the quarrel breaks out.

James 1:20

For the anger of man
does not produce
the righteousness of God.

Ecclesiastes 7:9

Be not quick in your spirit to become angry,
for anger lodges in the heart of fools.

Proverbs 14:17

A man of quick temper acts foolishly,
and a man of evil devices is hated.

Psalm 37:8

Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath!
Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.

Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.

Proverbs 12:18

There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts,
but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

Mark 6:34

When He went ashore

He saw a great crowd,
and He had compassion on them,
because they were like sheep without a shepherd.

1 Peter 5:7

Casting all your anxieties on Him,
because
He cares for you.

Daniel 12:3

And those who are wise shall shine
like the brightness of the sky above;

and those who turn many to righteousness,
like the stars forever and ever.

Hebrews 6:13

When God made his promise to Abraham,
since there was no one greater for Him
to swear by,
He swore by Himself

Matthew 4:19
And He said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

The Scriptures repeat

Daniel 12:3

And those who are wise shall shine
like the brightness of the sky above;

and those who turn many to righteousness,
like the stars forever and ever.

Abba, Father,

In seeking You first, help us not to grow weary in doing good.

Now may You, Lord of peace, Himself give us peace at all times in every way.
Give Your Love and Joy to those we Love.
Strengthen family and friends in Your Love.

The Lord be with us all.

Let love be genuine

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with us all.
May the Blessing of God be upon our Nation,
for those who seek His Love and Presence
and may the world recognize
the fullness of God's own Good Creation
is the Lord God.

Please pray for me,
I have not felt well this week.
Thanks very much!

In the Highest Name of Jesus
we lift our cares to Him,
He cares for us so.
God Bless us all.
Amen.

For all the Times You've
Helped Thank You.

Alleluia and Amen in Jesus Christ.

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
