Psalm 106 ~ His Chosen One

We remember the Gospels, in detail, in Advent. Yet our Father has seen more of mankind, His people leading up to His Son, living with Him in Sheol, with Abraham and Jacob in the land of the living, before living as Grace upon Grace on His Good Creation.

Psalm 106

Praise the Lord!
Oh give thanks to the Lord,
for He is good,
    for His steadfast love endures forever!

Gabriel, who stands in the Presence of the Lord

2 Who can utter the mighty deeds of the Lord,
    or declare all is praise?

John the Baptist, least in the Kingdom of Heaven

All have fallen short of the Glory of God

Elijah, if you will
What are you doing here, Elijah

Isaiah 40:3
The voice of one calling in the wilderness, prepare
the Way for the Lord
make straight  the Way for the Lord.

3 Blessed are they who observe justice,
    who do righteousness at all times!

4 Remember me, O Lord, when you show favor to your people;
    help me when you save them,
5 that I may look upon the prosperity of your chosen ones,
    that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation,
    that I may glory with your inheritance.

6 Both we and our fathers have sinned;
    we have committed iniquity; we have done wickedness.

7 Our fathers, when they were in Egypt,
    did not consider your wondrous works;
they did not remember the abundance of your steadfast love,
    but rebelled by the sea, at the Red Sea.

8 Yet He saved them for His Name's sake,
    that He might make known His mighty power.

9 He rebuked the Red Sea, and it became dry,
    and He led them through the deep
as through a desert.

Our Father would remember the flight in Egypt

10 So He saved them from the hand of the foe
    and redeemed them from the power of the enemy.

11 And the waters covered their adversaries;
    not one of them was left.

12 Then they believed His words;
    they sang His praise.

13 But they soon forgot His Works;
    they did not wait for His counsel.
14 But they had a wanton craving in the wilderness,
    and put God to the test in the desert;
15 He gave them what they asked,
    but sent a wasting disease among them.

16 When men in the camp were jealous of Moses
    and Aaron, the holy one of the Lord,
17 the earth opened and swallowed up Dathan,
    and covered the company of Abiram.
18 Fire also broke out in their company;
    the flame burned up the wicked.

19 They made a calf in Horeb
    and worshiped a metal image.
20 They exchanged the glory of God
    for the image of an ox that eats grass.

Oxen in the Temple, Power over Glory of God

21 They forgot God, their Savior,
    who had done great things in Egypt,
22 wondrous works in the land of Ham,
    and awesome deeds by the Red Sea.

23 Therefore He said he would destroy them—
    had not Moses, His chosen one,
stood in the breach
before Him,
    to turn away His wrath from destroying them.

24 Then they despised the pleasant land,
    having no faith in His promise.

25 They murmured in their tents,
    and did not obey the voice of the Lord.
26 Therefore He raised His Hand and swore to them
    that He would make them fall in the wilderness,
27 and would make their offspring fall among the nations,
    scattering them among the lands.

28 Then they yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor,
    and ate sacrifices offered to the dead;
29 they provoked the Lord to anger with their deeds,
    and a plague broke out among them.

30 Then Phinehas stood up and intervened,
    and the plague was stayed.

Jesus knows Abraham

31 And that was counted to him as righteousness
    from generation to generation forever.

32 They angered Him at the waters of Meribah,
    and it went ill with Moses on their account,
33 for they made his spirit bitter,
    and he spoke rashly with his lips.
34 They did not destroy the peoples,
    as the Lord commanded them,
35 but they mixed with the nations
    and learned to do as they did.
36 They served their idols,
    which became a snare to them.
37 They sacrificed their sons
    and their daughters to the demons;
38 they poured out innocent blood,
    the blood of their sons and daughters,
whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan,
    and the land was polluted with blood.

39 Thus they became unclean by their acts,
    and played the whore in their deeds.

40 Then the anger of the Lord was kindled against His people,
    and He abhorred His heritage;
41 he gave them into the hand of the nations,
    so that those who hated them ruled over them.
42 Their enemies oppressed them,
    and they were brought into subjection under their power.

43 Many times He delivered them,
    but they were rebellious in their purposes
    and were brought low through their iniquity.

44 Nevertheless,
He looked upon their distress,
    when He heard their cry.
45 For their sake He remembered
His covenant,
    and relented
according to the abundance
of His steadfast love.

46 He caused them to be pitied
    by all those who held them captive.
47 Save us, O Lord our God,
    and gather us from among the nations,
that we may give thanks to Your Holy Name
    and
glory in Your praise.

48 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,
    from everlasting to everlasting!

And let all the people say, “Amen!”
    Praise the Lord!

Exodus 16:31-35 ~ Now, the house of Israel called its name Manna!

Exodus 16:31-35

31 Now the house of Israel called its name manna.
It was like coriander seed, white, and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.

32 Moses said, “This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Let an omer of it be kept throughout your generations, so that they may see the bread with which I fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you out of the land of Egypt.’”

33 And Moses said to Aaron, “Take a jar, and put an omer of manna in it, and place it before the Lord to be kept throughout your generations.” 34 As the Lord commanded Moses, so Aaron placed it before the testimony to be kept. 35 The people of Israel ate the manna forty years, till they came to a habitable land. They ate the manna till they came to the border of the land of Canaan.

I was watching our female Standard Poodle watching her littermate brother.  Lily wasn't happy. Not happy at all. Nope. Lily isn't Hap-hap-happy.  Now that I've left my Covid quarantine, Lily cannot understand why her brother should have my attention - this is her sole place and joy. Lily is most annoyed with me, to the point of being miffy.  My orange cats are thrilled, as soon as Tyler has walked off, They take turns sitting in my lap. Then Tyler comes back and sits on the ottoman, fully enjoying the brotherhood of happy pets. Chorus of purrs. Happy purrs. Tyler is most happy. His Huuman is back.

Lily is now even more annoyed and watches us in reproach from under the Breakfast Table.  No, she won't come over and join the joy, she is miffy, miffy, miffy.

Poodle Photo I took in 2011 on the way to San Diego, Now I have a Lily Poodle!

Unknown Prayers and the Steadfast Love of God. Lily has no idea that she is exactly loved, loves and love as if she is a Spenser or my Merit. Our Tyler. The Steadfast and Only Dog. No clue, she ranks only with the best of all dogs in my Heart. Tyler loves Lily. Then he loves me.  Just about the same.

And Lily is never alone, never without someone to run up and down the yard with, never without a circle of Love and adoration. Someone to Hop up and down with to go in the Car! Hoppy! Hoppy! Hoppy!

The Blessings we won't see if we don't count our Mixed Blessings, giving us our
Best Blessings!!!!!

YAY JESUS! And the Blessings God, our Father, Gives Us !

Abba, Father,

Help us to see and know and cry out to You
Jesus our Savior
Help us to Love and See Our Blessings
Today
and
Every Day.

All Good Gifts are from You.
Thank You.

Help us this Day and each day
as You dwell in us
and those we Love
to be a Blessing to You
especially of Gratitude.

Thank You for Your Son, Jesus,
Who told us to pray for More of Your Heaven
on earth.
Holy is the Name of Jesus!

You could have said forgive us our sins
and instead said
Forgive us our trespasses.

You are the Almighty Lord of All.
Our Lord God.
Our Father, adopted in Jesus Christ,
Our own Father,
Father to our children
Father to His Children,
Tender and Compassionated
having pity on all
who reverence and have awe.

As far as the east is from the west,
He has removed our transgressions from us.
He knows our frame and is mindful of our frailties.

The Lord takes pleasure in us
those who put their Hope in Him.

Malachi 3

16At that time those who feared the LORD spoke with one another,
and the LORD listened and heard them.
So a scroll of remembrance was written before Him
regarding those who feared the LORD and honored His Name.

17“They will be Mine,” says the LORD of Hosts,
“on the day when I prepare My treasured possession.
And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him."

We put our Hopes in the Lord!

In God's Blessings...

The love of Christ,
and to know this love that surpasses knowledge,
that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us,
to Him be the glory in the church
and in Christ Jesus
throughout all generations, forever and ever.

We put our Hope of Blessing upon Jesus
Amen

Psalm 103 ~ Bless the Lord

Since the beginning of time, we all earnestly desire our prayers to go directly to God.

Psalm 103

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
    and all that is within me,
    bless His Holy Name!

2 Bless the Lord, O my soul,
    and forget not all His benefits,
3 who forgives all your iniquity,
    who heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit,
    who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
5 who satisfies you with good
    so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

6 The Lord works righteousness
    and justice for all who are oppressed.
7 He made known his ways to Moses,
    his acts to the people of Israel.
8 The Lord is merciful and gracious,
    slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
9 He will not always chide,
    nor will he keep his anger forever.

10 He does not deal with us according to our sins,
    nor repay us according to our iniquities.

11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
    so great is His steadfast love toward those who fear Him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
    so far does He remove our transgressions from us.

13 As a father shows compassion to His children,
    so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear Him.
14 For He knows our frame;
    He remembers that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are like grass;
    He flourishes like a flower of the field;
16 for the wind passes over it, and it is gone,
    and its place knows it no more.
But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting
on those who fear him,
    and His righteousness to children's children,
18 to those who keep His covenant
    and remember to do His commandments.
The Lord has established His throne in the heavens,
    and
His kingdom rules over all.

20 Bless the Lord, O you His angels,
    you mighty ones who do His word,
    obeying the voice of His word!
21 Bless the Lord, all His hosts,
    His ministers, who do His will!
22 Bless the Lord, all His works,
    in all places of Hs dominion.
Bless the Lord, O my soul!

We so want our Prayer to be up in Heaven and near Jesus. Father God assures  us in John 14 and 15, He hears us. John's Gospel begins with God hearing Nathaniel under a tree - praying.

John 1

48 Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?”

Jesus answered him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

49 Nathanael answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”

50 Jesus answered him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.”

51 And he said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending
and descending on the Son of Man.”

Abba, Father,

Dwell in us,
Give us Your Blessing, we ask.
Let the Joy we have in You
be our Strength.

In Jesus, we want Your help to seek You first.
And we will finish well in Jesus Christ!

For my son Alexander to find employment locally.
For Cal, far away and his safe travel.
For my eye to continue to heal perfectly.
My Covid is better
and to heal each day!

In this day,
we will make Requests of Jesus.
In the Holy Name of Jesus,

We pray all those who have been
strengthened and encouraged
during the Pandemic
in their faith,
Will Remain in Your Joy and Love.

We Pray for this Nation
and the turbulence we see
we pray for truth.

We pray for Ukraine
and the end of Pandemic.
We pray for Strength.

We pray for our families
not to accept the unacceptable
for their Children.
A Nation protects their Children.

Now to Father God, Who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,
to Him be glory in the church and
in Christ Jesus
throughout all generations,
forever and ever.
 Amen.

The Mercy of Your Touch, Jesus. Amen.

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
