Genesis 11:1-9
1 Now the whole earth had one language and the same words. 2 And as people migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. 3 And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.”5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built. 6 And the LORD said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another's speech.”
8 So the LORD dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. 9 Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the LORD confused the language of all the earth. And from there the LORD dispersed them over the face of all the earth.

Mark 10:27
Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."
Mark 11:22-23
22 And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. 23 Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.
A friend has a very complete family English genealogy going back to the 15th century. However, she had a surprise when she took her son for his college physical. Her doctor, a family friend, asked her how many generations back her 18 year old son was related to the Chinese. He showed her, very clearly, her son has Chinese eyes. There is no genealogy for this, but he does. (And he has beautiful eyes.)
Another family friend is from Mexico and her parents named her a Japanese name. Because Hispanic Indians and Japanese people have very similar skin tones. Her parents are possibility thinkers.
Genesis is so old - the human writer is not recorded. No one knows how many years old it is. Genesis 7 records a flood and we have fossils all over the earth telling us of sea water covering all things - but we are so sure it is not the flood. Yet, we have Pangaea and we do not consider the events of Babel. It could very well be Genesis is much older than we suspect. Isn't it great to have the doorway of possibilities telling us God's wiser than we are.
Psalm 97:1
The LORD reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice.
