Genesis 41:1-13
41 After two whole years, Pharaoh dreamed that he was standing by the Nile, 2 and behold, there came up out of the Nile seven cows attractive and plump, and they fed in the reed grass. 3 And behold, seven other cows, ugly and thin, came up out of the Nile after them, and stood by the other cows on the bank of the Nile. 4 And the ugly, thin cows ate up the seven attractive, plump cows. And Pharaoh awoke. 5 And he fell asleep and dreamed a second time. And behold, seven ears of grain, plump and good, were growing on one stalk. 6 And behold, after them sprouted seven ears, thin and blighted by the east wind. 7 And the thin ears swallowed up the seven plump, full ears.
And Pharaoh awoke, and behold, it was a dream. 8 So in the morning his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt and all its wise men. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but there was none who could interpret them to Pharaoh.
9 Then the chief cupbearer said to Pharaoh, “I remember my offenses today. 10 When Pharaoh was angry with his servants and put me and the chief baker in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, 11 we dreamed on the same night, he and I, each having a dream with its own interpretation. 12 A young Hebrew was there with us, a servant of the captain of the guard. When we told him, he interpreted our dreams to us, giving an interpretation to each man according to his dream. 13 And as he interpreted to us, so it came about. I was restored to my office, and the baker was hanged.”
Psalm 100
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
2 Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
3 Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!
5 For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.
Last week we had very wonderful soaking prayer filled with Love.
I was privileged to have truly great prayer, today, with people who earnestly want to bring God to others. A woman was healed, by Jesus, from cancer her doctor said was incurable. She will be placed into a medical book and asked to tour with the Christian doctor on the amazing miracle this incurable Cancer was healed by faith in Jesus. A very grateful family to the Lord for His Work. PACN really has prayers answered.
We had a great Bible Study last night. This wonderful group has been meeting for about fourteen years. We are honest in our questions, forthright in doubts and gentle as we speak the truth. A work of God.
With our Bible Study we read Isaiah meeting God and feeling his inadequacies. And Peter feeling the same from just meeting a man - Jesus Christ the Lord. The comparison is Jesus Really Did Reveal our Father. One mere man whereas Abraham understood how very incredibly vast God is. The Red Sea parted with just His breath. Isaiah went on to describe the size of God by saying the Sea parted when Father God waived His hand.
God chose a forgetful cup bearer to be in charge of Joseph. And God picked Moses to be in charge of the Exodus. Because God wants all of us to understand that we are not God. Genesis showed we hoped to be - like Eve - choosing right and wrong. Joseph grew up surrounded by unfortunate circumstance - God made a path for Joseph. Moses had unfortunate circumstance - God made a path for Moses like Gideon. And like Gideon - eventually Moses could not do God's work.
God's work is God's work.
I was fortunate to be able to travel through Texas by car on Tuesday - when you are looking for music on the FM radio - you actually get your pick of really, very, very fabulous Sermons and Lessons on accurate Bible. One station after the next. We are Blessed to have this in Texas. Our nation.
And the two I heard were on two different stations and ran parallel. And blend perfectly in to these Scriptures.
Caleb lived hard times being in the desert 40 years. And saw all of that generation die off. He lived in hard times knowing that he was living within God's Vision for him. Many days he must have wondered. And God gave Caleb the strength to live those years. To go into the Promised Land and be asked by Joshua where he would want to live. Caleb asked for land near Sarah. Caleb understood Love.
Paul lived in prison. Paul said he would like to be out. And being a purposeful man, Paul used all of his opportunities and left a legacy to help others.
God used hard circumstance to produce hope. Character. We get the opportunity to pick seeing the good - or sit home and whine. When we pick to rely upon the Fruit of God looking to Him - then we have the Joy to Know God Loves us. Receiving and giving Love makes us stronger. Knowing we are weak enough to be Loved by God. Saved by God. And go forth.
Every day He gives us.
Father God be with my family, we ask Your help, mercy, blessings. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
