Mark 10:13-16
13 And they were bringing children to him that he might touch them, and the disciples rebuked them.
14 But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.
15 Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” 16 And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.
The Disciples were sure the children did not matter in the business of going forth They had their Job:
Luke 10
1 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go. 2 And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. 3 Go your way; behold, I am sending you out as lambs in the midst of wolves. 4 Carry no moneybag, no knapsack, no sandals, and greet no one on the road.
5 Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house!’ 6 And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest upon him. But if not, it will return to you. 7 And remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the laborer deserves his wages. Do not go from house to house.
8 Whenever you enter a town and they receive you,
eat what is set before you.
9 Heal the sick in it
and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
Simon the Zealot wanted a New Messiah for a New Israel. Judas the same. Really all of the Disciples wanted the Messiah to be King of Israel.
Acts 1
6So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
God tends to do things His own way and not ask for consultations.
The Disciples did not want the children getting Jesus' time because it wasn't establishing Jesus as Messiah King.
Mark's Gospel is the events of Jesus' life Peter was asked about time and again. Mark is telling us what the 1st Century AD looks at with Jesus being new to the people.
Matthew is telling us what a hardened work for cash man - lots of cash - and not a lot of respect saw being touched by Jesus.
Matthew 19
13 Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples rebuked the people, 14 but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” 15 And he laid his hands on them and went away.
What did the Disciples think about Jesus wanting the children?
The Kingdom of Heaven? Children?
Isaiah 55 is explaining Jesus and Heaven and why the children loved and believed Jesus
1“Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.
2 Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,
and you will delight in the richest of fare.
3 Give ear and come to me;
listen, that you may live.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you,
my faithful love promised to David.
4 See, I have made him a witness to the peoples,
a ruler and commander of the peoples.
5 Surely you will summon nations you know not,
and nations you do not know will come running to you,
because of the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel,
for he has endowed you with splendor.”
6 Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call on him while he is near.
7 Let the wicked forsake their ways
and the unrighteous their thoughts.
Let them turn to the Lord,
and he will have mercy on them,
and to our God,
for he will freely pardon.
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
12 You will go out in joy
and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and hills
will burst into song before you,
and all the trees of the field
will clap their hands.
13 Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper,
and instead of briers the myrtle will grow.
This will be for the Lord’s renown,
for an everlasting sign,
that will endure forever.”
Luke the Physician who stayed with both Peter and Paul until the end, saw why the Lord enjoyed the Children.
Luke 18:17
Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.”
Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please him,
for whoever would draw near to God
must believe that he exists
and that he rewards
those who seek him.
The Children freely love Jesus
Psalm 71:5-6
For you, O Lord, are my hope,
my trust, O Lord, from my youth.
Upon you I have leaned from before my birth;
you are he who took me from my mother's womb.
My praise is continually of you.
And this is why Jesus said the Children belong the Kingdom of Heaven "Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God."
Mark 12:30-44
30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” 32 And the scribe said to him, “You are right, Teacher. You have truly said that he is one, and there is no other besides him. 33 And to love him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
34 And when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.”
Jesus saw the pure belief in the Children and pure Love.
Abba Father,
We want to Love You and welcome all of Your Holy Spirit in us. And in those we Love.
You want mankind saved in Jesus. The harvest is plentiful.
and we want the people bringing hope and joy to bring in the Harvest of Your Love and Kingdom closer to You
Just as Jesus prays with us and brought You, Abba, a new Heaven and a new earth.
Father, Your lambs are excited about Your goodness. Possibilities.
Your Lambs want peace. Contentment in what Life brings the sheep of Your Pasture, seeing the good.

We lift to You the ones we love and our cares - health, meaning, opportunities to love and care.
Families working for Jesus and His love.
The people who have asked for prayer. The people You have given us.
We lift up our employment and opportunities.
We lift up our Nation in Jesus.
We Raise High the Church for Jesus Christ. Praying love and effectiveness.
We lift High the people of Christ all over the world encircling our world with prayer and Jesus.
And Thank You for our Blessings.
We ask for Your Word to build, comfort, go forth with all goodness as our Hope and Future.
