Hebrews 11:6
Without faith it is
impossible to please Him,
for whoever would draw near to God
must
believe
that
He exists
and that
He rewards
those who seek Him

Who strengthens me.
James 1:12-14
Blessed is the man
who remains steadfast under trial,
for when he has stood the test he will receive the Crown of Life,
which God has promised
to those who Love Him.
Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.
Psalm 92:14
They will still yield fruit in old age;
they shall be full of sap and very green
Deuteronomy 4:40

which I am giving you today,
that it may go well with you and with your children after you,
and
that you may live long on the land
which the LORD your God
is giving you for all time.
Deuteronomy 5:33
You shall walk in all the way
that the Lord your God has commanded you,
that you may live,
and that
it may go well with you,
and that
you may live long in the land that you shall possess.
Proverbs 16:31
Gray hair is a crown of glory;
it is gained in a righteous life.
1 Kings 3:14
And
if you will walk in my ways,
keeping My Statutes and My Commandments,
as your father David walked,
then
I will lengthen your days.
Genesis 17:1
Now when Abram was ninety-nine years old,
The LORD appeared to Abram
and said to him,
“I am God Almighty; Walk before Me, and be blameless.”
Genesis 24:1
Now Abraham was old, advanced in age;
and
The LORD had blessed Abraham in every way.
Is this , really, is that true Scripture?
Let's go the way of Bereans....
Acts 17:11
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.
No, it's not, you know, Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen
Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen. But do you recall
The most famous reindeer of all?
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
had a very shiny nose. And it's not like these dear hearts.
But it's probably more like Nicholas of Myra. These days you can find him as old bones in St. Nicholas Church, Demre, Turkey. Sometimes he is know as Nicholas of Bari. Or the Bishop of Myra.
You know Nicholas, you are a friend of Nicholas.
And some day, you and Nicholas will not be speaking through a glass darkly. Instead, you will know the people Nicholas knows, today.
The Queen Mother of England, Elizabeth, Elizabeth II's mother. Lived to be just shy of 103. Known for taking up the bumpy road of Queen as Europe exploded into bombing and potential invasion of World War II. Living as a brave example. At 101, with a broken hip, she insisted on standing during the National Anthem to promote a stable nation. Tremendously involved in safety with the British Red Cross. Victoria League and Pibaireachd, the help for the impoverished.
And her friend, Winston Churchill, at 92. This man saved Europe from Hitler. Enough said. He was given the job when death arrived at the door. A doomed army. A miracle of survival. God Bless Winston Churchill.
President Jimmy Carter. 100. When he found out the Boys and Girls good works were faltering, at age 99, he enabled the Georgia Club to be solid for youth and opportunity. Habitat for Humanity. Love for the Nation. Always speaking of Jesus Christ and his faith.
Kirk Douglas, age 103. At age 74, Douglas was in a helicopter and was injured when the aircraft collided with a small plane above Santa Paula Airport and two people in the plane were killed. This near-death experience sparked a search for meaning by Douglas, which led him, after much study, to embrace Judaism. He documented this spiritual journey in his book, Climbing the Mountain: My Search for Meaning (1997).[In Jerusalem and the Western Wall Tunnel, he dedicated two playgrounds he donated to the state. His tour guide arranged to end the tour of the tunnel at the bedrock where, according to Jewish tradition, Abraham's binding of Isaac took place. Kirk Douglas recalled, "Years back, I tried to forget that I was a Jew," but later in his career he began "coming to grips with what it means to be a Jew," which became a theme in his life.
Olivia de Havilland age 104. In her 70s, de Havilland visited numerous US cities, raising funds for “Venture,” a $100 million program to expand missions of the Episcopal Church. When parishioners were at a maximum.
Queen Elizabeth II, age 96. Buckingham Palace was crowned with a double rainbow on the day of her triumphant entry into Heaven. Worked as a mechanic for the British Army during World War II. Was queen for almost 71 years. And inherited an empire crumbling into dust. A woman queen set, by events before her birth, to fail. And instead, Elizabeth was a woman of Tremendous Faith. Frequently in correspondence with Billy Graham. Leading the Church of England. Establishing instead of failure a nation linked with loyalty in the Commonwealth with 56 Nations and 2.5 Billion people.
Sadly, the recent events of PM Starmer's meddling in the Archbishop of Canterbury appointment and outrageous activities, Mulalley's confession of leaking confidential information to a bishop found in sexual abuse and abuses are splintering the Church with Africa and Asia, she fought for and led. This combines with murmuring in the Commonwealth. Jamaica, Belize, Antigua and Barbuda have expressed intentions to cut formal ties. The Caribbean wants to enter into negotiations as well. Some feel aligning with China would be more profitable. Lord Jesus Christ. Lead them back into this Light. So much good has been done.
Ebby Halliday of Dallas, was the largest real estate residential organization in sales from 1945 until 1992. Ebby helped raise her 7 younger brothers and sisters. And after she had made her fortune, Ebby spent her days being asked to speak at every major Dallas charitable event or foundation. And every day her phone would ring for help and assistance. Ebby always gave, but never cash. She gave instruments, convalescence furniture, bedding and band uniforms. Trips to Science Fairs and a Hospital ER. Every single day. Because her faith in the Lord never wavered. Each week Ebby provided a cake the size of a massive wedding cake for her church to have coffee hour with cake. Ebby worked at Ebby Halliday even at 103 years old. My mother was her assistant for 31 years, until the end, and Ebby died well loved at age 104. Her company was bought by Warren Buffett after she passed on. Ebby left her profits to her longtime sales and corporate employees. Many had worked for her from 1945 to very old age.
The Promises of the Lord are sure.
Psalm 92:14
They will still yield fruit in old age;
they shall be full of sap and very green
