Psalm 150

 

Praise the Lord!

Praise God in His Sanctuary;

    praise Him in His Mighty Heavens!

2 Praise Him for His Mighty Deeds;

    praise Him according to His Excellent Greatness!

3 Praise Him with Trumpet Sound;

    praise Him with lute and harp!

4 Praise Him with tambourine and dance;

    praise Him with strings and pipe!

5 Praise Him with sounding cymbals;

    praise Him with loud clashing cymbals!

6 Let everything that has breath Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord!

We have not a musical note, nor papyrus, to see the how the Psalms were actually played in the first Temple of Jerusalem. 

We do know the instruments and they are wild.  

In the Exodus, God spoke, the Children of Israel quaked with fear and had never heard anything so loud in their entire lives.  They begged Moses to let God speak to Moses instead.

So, we would have to assume with the list of wild musical instruments and perhaps the Music was aim was to be loud...like the Voice of God... points to wonder.

Job 37: 4-5

Then there comes a roaring sound; 

He thunders with His Majestic Voice. 

He does not restrain the lightning 

when His Voice 

Resounds. 

God thunders wondrously with His Voice

He does great things we cannot comprehend.

Abba, Father!

Father God as we pray for each other and ask all types of healing - we know in Your Word - the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

We ask Your help to be wise,
We ask Your help to be brave,
We ask Your help to be steadfast Love.

We ask Your Help to see and remain on Your Path.
We ask Your Guidance, Mercy and Forgiveness
when we do not do as You would Love 

to see our hearts do well.

We ask Your Tender Mercies 

upon us to remain with You.

And ask this for those we Love.
The People 

You have given us.
Our Nation.
Our endeavors each day.
The people around the Good Creation

 to have more Heaven on earth.

For our healing
and our hope
and our cares
to be lifted to You
and brought  the Good News.

Dwell in me,

Dwell in us,

Dwell in those we Love,

Help us to seek You first.

And we will finish well, 

in Jesus Christ. 

Help us seek and find 

and bring,

to become,

 more Heaven

to this earth.
