My heart is steadfast, O God! I will sing and make melody with all my being! 2 Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn! 3 I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations. 4 For your steadfast love is great above the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. 5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth! 6 That your beloved ones may be delivered, give salvation by your right hand and answer me! 7 God has promised in his holiness: “With exultation I will divide up Shechem and portion out the Valley of Succoth. 8 Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah my scepter. 9 Moab is my washbasin; upon Edom I cast my shoe; over Philistia I shout in triumph.” 10 Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom? 11 Have you not rejected us, O God? You do not go out, O God, with our armies. 12 Oh grant us help against the foe, for vain is the salvation of man! 13 With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes.
We lived for four years in Nice, France overlooking the Mediterranean. In the summer, the skies were beautifully blue, the sun set regally as purple with gold lights left from the town. Each summer day the terra cotta roofs were beautiful and the stucco buildings were snowy white surrounded by Palms and beautiful fruits and vegetables. The city looks the same after 50 years, probably even 150 years before and 150 years in the future.
And we lived for 4 years in Emporium, Pennsylvania where Lake Erie leaves ALL the snow meeting the end of the Appalachian Mountains. And for 9 months, the earth sleeps with grey tree trunks, snow or left over snow, grey skies - early end of the day about 4:30 p.m. as the mountains let the sun travel on. And in the summer, Edward once commented on a Pennsylvania forest saying he disliked earth photos trying to look like Heaven. And Pennsylvania forests with wood ferns, cascading Mountain Laurel and then, Wild Blueberries - do just that.
Life does this. Everything appears pretty grey. Oceans churn and look like ocean winter. Skies have clouds and cloudiness. Winds toss the ocean to be wild. And we know Spring has arrived and Summer will be here. Crowds will return, beaches will be packed with all ages.
Why we doubt anything different with seasons of life - because we hold the events and the people dear to us - much more seriously.
Abba, When the sun shines - You are in Charge. When the skies are cloudy - You are in Charge. We lift up the people we love. Even when they irritate us. And we still love them. And the people You have given us. Knowing Good News - is far more important. Jesus Christ Loves us and hears our prayers. For Health, for provision, for jobs, for opportunities. And know our prayers go Far. In Jesus. Amen.
9 And he said to them, “You have a fine way of rejecting the commandment of God in order to establish your tradition! 10 For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘Whoever reviles father or mother must surely die.’ 11 But you say, ‘If a man tells his father or his mother, “Whatever you would have gained from me is Corban”’ (that is, given to God)— 12 then you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother, 13 thus making void the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And many such things you do.”
14 And he called the people to him again and said to them, “Hear me, all of you, and understand: 15 There is nothing outside a person that by going into him can defile him, but the things that come out of a person are what defile him.”
17 And when he had entered the house and left the people, his disciples asked him about the parable. 18 And he said to them, “Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, 19 since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.) 20 And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him. 21 For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, 22 coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness.; 23 All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”
What is the Law of God?
Usually we don't start with foolishness. Or sensuality. Or Pride. Although we all suffer from pride in various aspects. The Law of God - is - Every Word of God.
John 4
Jesus decides to declare His Majesty. The Light of the World surveys humanity and He picks - Samaria. And a notorious sinner. And a women. Why would Jesus the Christ of God do this? Jesus tells her His Reason. We read the Word of God and should know. Jesus says He is looking for a Spirit of Truth.
God has odd ideas where He will dwell. Like arriving in a stable born from a pregnant Virgin - only Betrothed.
Or choosing to reach out to an aging and disgruntled Priest who forgets to grab hold of the Horns of the Altar for Mercy. C'mon. You aren't supposed to give 'attitude' to an Archangel in the Middle of The Temple of God... in Jerusalem, no less. Not just any Synagogue.
Jesus chooses Luke. Luke would be the narrow gate to the very end with Peter and Paul. Luke writes 1 Chapter about Jesus deciding to be Life on Earth? Luke writes 3 Chapters on the Infant Jesus choosing this Life. Life. Life. A Father would dwell on the birth and not the end. You know this. God would want to speak of Life.
The people of God are always upset with God.
Why does He look mean in the Old Testament? The Answer is - He does NOT. We are using the standards of fleeting flesh to look at the Almighty. Does He owe us to write down - that Baal asks infant blood spilled for - ease of life - for easier circumstance - prosperity. Maybe God was worried Israel would say, "Hmmm recipe for Bone Meal and Crops hmmm." Poor God. You have to wonder why Proverbs 8 says Jesus delights in mankind. We are easily offended ... by God.
God is about - PEOPLE. You. Me. God says before you tithe - you better - you better - you better see if your aging parents are Fine.
God is concerned about Aging Parents. Remember with me, one of the Names of Father God is : Ancient of Days.
Did you suddenly remember the establishment condemned Jesus as being a hippie? He Loves too much. Jesus eats and drinks and loves too much. That Jesus - He even heals on the Sabbath. We aren't even sure if Jesus washes His Hands.
Humans: How can Jesus say we have to take care of our aging parents if He left Nazareth and moved off to Capernaum? Well, we know for sure, Jesus was on with His Father. Jesus has siblings, James, Jude, Joses. And we know Jesus took the Disciples to stay with Mary for a few days after the Wedding in Cana. Jesus made sure to bring Mary a Hope and a Future with safety before He died. Mary had tried to save Jesus' life in the beginning of His Ministry. God is not going to place Mary in harm's way. Jesus is God and tells us of God priorities.
Jesus does unusual things. And this list will tell us we all fall down. Requiring a Savior.
Thank God, Jesus has Promised, as surely as Jesus ate fish He prepared for His Disciples after Victory over Death. As surely as Jesus had a physical body, Jesus has promised He will Never Leave or Forsake - those who really seek Him. A Rock Solid Foundation Promise from God with a Living Surviving Body.
What does the Body of Christ show for Jesus? Mercy triumphs over Judgement. The Shepherd does not let go of the Sheep. The Father will not let go of his children. We Believe God is - what John records as an eyewitness - God of Love. Forgiving. Asking us to grow up in our journey, we all are on, Journey Home to present our souls to Jesus. Dear Jesus ... this is who I really am underneath all the things, words, attitudes and time. Jesus sees the real us.
The fishing boat found dating to the time of Christ Sea of Galilee
Father God, You are the Way, Truth, Life. In You we want to live, move and have our being. Dwell in us, Please God. We open the doors to our soul and ask Your loving, forgiving Light to dwell within us all our days. Flood with Love and Light - our loved ones. Let the Light of Christ shine beautifully in the people You have given us. Let our prayers for Paul and for Steve, for Edward, for my ears - reach to the open Gates, the shining water to The Emerald Throne of Your's. And with Jesus and confidence, we come to You to give your our prayers, thanksgiving for Your Goodness, the wonder of Your Glory, where John suddenly was with Jesus again. Knowing our prayers for our communities, Churches, work places, towns, states, our nations, This prayer covers the earth and the fullness thereof. We want this day to be filled with Living Bread, bringing more Heaven to earth. For Your Glory we want to live and give to those we love. Knowing that You are Love and You Will. Thank Jesus, we have seen the Father. Radical Jesus makes the Way. This is where we will put our Eyes and Hearts. Jesus is our Amen.
Life is a lot like the Stock Market. One day it's like "Cheers" - Everyone Knows Your Name. And the next day you encounter, "Talk to the Hand." Or the Lemon Persimmon.
There was Someone who is difficult to explain. And helps us rise up above acclaim of this world, or disdain.
Jesus never needed to out yell or display over the detractors of Jesus. We need to truly, truly, truly pull from this Scripture. This is a key to telling about Jesus. And what is Jesus? Jesus is God. Jesus is our abundant Eternity and Abundant Life with the Creator of the Universe who knows you and Loves you. When we speak of Jesus - there will be times - there is stump the chump. Jesus never felt as He walked His life here that He failed God. Jesus tells us there is wheat and there is chaff. What is chaff. Chaff is what - a situation, a person, a fake conversation meant to pull you down - chaff. Jesus knew we could not win all situations. And to find the Grace to keep in Jesus.
See the Jesus Grace in Jesus here - this is Jesus for you - today.

Luke 2:10
But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.
29 Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one question; answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. 30 Was the baptism of John from heaven or from man? Answer me.” 31 And they discussed it with one another, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’ 32 But shall we say, ‘From man’?”—they were afraid of the people, for they all held that John really was a prophet. 33 So they answered Jesus, “We do not know.” And Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”
If God Himself, knows how to leave an argument. So should we. Jesus is living, breathing, telling us about not "mixing it up" - not being "all that, all the time."
Matthew 5:9
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
This is Our God!!! Luke 2 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”
Living the Kingdom. We are not going to live life floating on a weird, unnatural peace. But when we expect God - we can find our Joy. The Joy God has in John 14,15,16, 17. We can find in our gratitude - Love, Joy, Peace, Encouragement. When you live to please God - you find this.
When you live to be chaff. To give trouble. To live the life of elan. To live in the hip, chic, with-it, zone. To display your worthiness. To live your 'Place'. To act as the men did who wanted to show their superior righteousness. Wow. An unhappy place. I am in the 5th decade of life. My eyes have dreamed and seen and I have been forever changed visiting Heaven and knowing I have been there. My eyes have seen the wicked fall from their personal exultation to need redemption of God or to weaken and die off. My eyes have seen our Father God is always before us. God also says this about the nature of mankind and the war within us - all - how many - all of us. If we sow seeds of Love, Joy, Righteousness, Encouragement, Peace, Gratitude, displaying the Favor God has given us - which is Mercy. We sow this Life within us. This is the Light of Christ in mankind - that God has placed a hunger to have. This is the circle of Love. And when you encounter - just like Jesus has and does - the chaff. Do not become the chaff. Do not swell with contempt. Do not hurt beyond knowing Jesus encountered this. Do not ponder too long. Be grateful for the people God has given you and be content. Be the one who will remember the Blessing. Not become the Princess, 40 mattresses and the pea. Do not fear. In 5 decades, I have not seen ruin. But I have seen the wicked win, for only a season. What we believe of God - we will become. Leave the bridge down. Believe in the goodness of God. Be wise. Go forth in God with courage.
I have seen a work place honor those who work hard. Children receive college scholarships. Incentive is there for rewards for hard work. A company rises from ashes to honor. Adding offices in 4 cities. Integrity is here.
I have seen the owner go to a third world nation and find children sharing with delight a can of Coke. He would return - Christmas would be many, many gifts for those who take care of one another. Love is here and appreciated. I have seen a hard-working woman tell her husband, tell her kids about Jesus. Putting up with marital discord. And what was tragic discord became the line of belief. The hard line that says - what do you believe. Become a family of belief. We are in a stock market life - but when we trust Jesus - we will be His. Love is here. I have seen a woman lose her infant son. A fine believing woman. Who went on to to raise two daughters and one daughter married the same name as the infant son who had passed on - decades before. And the son-in-law, with the same name, makes a fine, fine son. Willing to work in the yard. Live with them to get a Master's Degree. And in his 50s, you can find him on their roof - if the roof needs his attention. Love is here.
Jesus is still working. His Father is still working.
Galatians 6
For whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. 10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Thank You, Father God, for the goodness and help You place in our lives.
We remember with great care the people we are praying for. Steve, Paul, me for ears. For our loved ones to be in His Love and Protection. For good health in all aspects to do the good works You have placed for us, Psalm 139.
We thank You for Your plan. And this day. The days to come. In Jesus. Amen.
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, 2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. 4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.
5 Strangers will shepherd your flocks; foreigners will work your fields and vineyards. 6 And you will be called priests of the Lord, you will be named ministers of our God. You will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast. 7 Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours. 8 “For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and wrongdoing. In my faithfulness I will reward my people and make an everlasting covenant with them. 9 Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the Lord has blessed.” 10 I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness
as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. 11 For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow,
so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.
We have used the art before, in case you think you've seen the art. In 2014. Usually art that is flawed is not used. But this time we need a quote for the Scripture Passage.
A man and his wife lost 4 children. The wife kept a boarding school for young boys. He was a Head Master of a boy's school and promoted and helped promote the first infirmary in the city of Westminster, the origin of Westminster Hospital and St Geroge's Hospital. He had two sons who survived infancy and childhood illnesses.
One son wrote, "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" ... "Glory to the newborn King" Peace on earth, and mercy mild God and sinners reconciled Joyful all ye nations rise Join the triumph of the skies With angelic host proclaim Christ is born in Bethlehem
He finished well. And his tomb correctly reads, "GOD BURIES HIS WORKMEN, BUT CARRIES ON HIS WORK."
His brother, John Wesley, did well also. We were referring to Charles Wesley and their father, Samuel Wesley.
The Revival of the Holy Spirit is a powerful thing. Nothing can push down the Holy Spirit. He moves in the Direction He wants.
One thing we won't discuss or waste time on - Charles, John and their father Samuel could all spend time telling of opportunities that they should have seized. Times and works that should have ceased. And Seas that sailed them far away.
God has spoken. We are all sinners, trapped and doomed unless we look to Father God and have love for what He has given us. Accepting with faith, His gift of Love and Salvation.
Because no matter how brightly we shine or what favor God gives us - in time - For He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of His righteousness will happen. Those who want Jesus and believe Him will wear the robes of white.
God's Word is Active -
Strangers will shepherd your flocks;
foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.
6 And you will be called
What we will be called by Jesus is of utmost importance,
Abba, Abba, Abba, Holy, Holy, Holy God and Father, In 50 and 100 years human opinion dims, Yet Your Word will go forth. Help us lead each day Upward to Jesus. Let us with the Grace and Favor and Majesty and Might see Your Willingness and Continue to fight the fight and win the Race for the Love and Light of Jesus Christ to Shine More Brightly. We pray this for ourselves, our loved ones!!! The People God has given us. And as we pray this - the prayers of the saints connect and we are covered, in our Schools, Work, Home, States, Nations, to all the earth and the fullness thereof belonging to Father God. Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. The disciple John was having a Sunday afternoon at home, John found himself in the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory of the God of Love Jesus Christ. This is where are prayers are going. We pray to have good health. we pray for Steve and Paul. Thanking you for my mother's health and hearing, lifting up mine. For Wayne and those who suffer with allergies. For Edward and for us to not suffer and have the will and wisdom to help others see God's Overwhelming Love. The Will of God is Good. We thank you for our Blessings and will now remember the Blessings You give us. Help us to be one of the Number, when the Saints Rise up High. Amen in Jesus, we agree.
1 In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach, 2 until the day when he was taken up, after he had given commands through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. 3 He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.
4 And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, “you heard from me; 5 for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
6 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”
7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” 9 And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.
10 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, 11 and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey away. 13 And when they had entered, they went up to the upper room, where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot and Judas the son of James.
14 All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.
15 In those days Peter stood up among the brothers (the company of persons was in all about 120) and said, 16 “Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spoke beforehand by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus. 17 For he was numbered among us and was allotted his share in this ministry.”
18 (Now this man acquired a field with the reward of his wickedness, and falling headlong he burst open in the middle and all his bowels gushed out. 19 And it became known to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the field was called in their own language Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood.) 20 “For it is written in the Book of Psalms, “‘May his camp become desolate, and let there be no one to dwell in it’; and “‘Let another take his office.’
21 So one of the men who have accompanied us during all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, 22 beginning from the baptism of John until the day when he was taken up from us—one of these men must become with us a witness to his resurrection.”
23 And they put forward two, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was also called Justus, and Matthias. 24 And they prayed and said, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen 25 to take the place in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own interests.”
26 And they cast lots for them, and the lot fell on Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
Jesus knew He would not remain and continue staying with them.
Jesus had fortified not only the Disciples, now He had unified His family and 500.
John 14:27 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter
John 14:18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in me you might have peace
Isaiah 51:12 "I, even I, am he who comforts you."
Psalm 118:6 The LORD is for me; I will not fear; What can man do to me?
Isaiah 40:1 "Comfort, O comfort My people," says your God.
We, as the Beloved of Jesus, are sent forth. With the Holy Spirit. Seeing that Jesus is the fulfillment of God's Word.

Jesus has triumphed over death. Jesus is alive as the New Testament sends us all forth.
God's promises are so sure - Jesus is a man, after His Victory over death - in a physical body - headed to Heaven.
Jesus has given us a New Heaven and a new earth.
John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
1 John 3:18-22 Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him; for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.
Father God, Thank You for hearing our prayers. And answering them. We will continue to ask and pray - trusting in the Goodness of Your Will. Thank You for my arm healing. I am lifting up my ear. For Your help. Thank You so much for the healing of my mother. Edward is doing well and we continue to pray for his joy in each day. Help us each day to please You. We pray for our Churches and for the lives of the Shepherds, to have Your Love, Goodness and Wisdom. We pray for our Nation for the Light of Jesus' Love will Shine ever brighter. And for the comfort of the people, the Beloved of Jesus, each day. Amen in Jesus.
41 And when he drew near and saw the city, he wept over it, 42 saying, “Would that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes. 43 For the days will come upon you, when your enemies will set up a barricade around you and surround you and hem you in on every side 44 and tear you down to the ground, you and your children within you. And they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”
45 And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold, 46 saying to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a den of robbers.”
47 And he was teaching daily in the temple. The chief priests and the scribes and the principal men of the people were seeking to destroy him, 48 but they did not find anything they could do, for all the people were hanging on his words.
Proverbs 8
22 “The Lord brought me forth as the first of his works, before his deeds of old; 23 Ages ago I was set up, at the first, before the beginning of the earth.
24 When there were no depths I was brought forth, when there were no springs abounding with water. 25 Before the mountains had been shaped, before the hills, I was brought forth, 26 before he had made the earth with its fields, or the first of the dust of the world.
27 When he established the heavens, I was there; when he drew a circle on the face of the deep, 28 when he made firm the skies above, when he established the fountains of the deep, 29 when he assigned to the sea its limit, so that the waters might not transgress his command.
When he marked out the foundations of the earth, 30 then I was beside him, like a master workman, and I was daily his delight, rejoicing before him always, 31 rejoicing in his inhabited world and delighting in the children of man.
32 "And now, O sons, listen to me: blessed are those who keep my ways. 33 Hear instruction and be wise, and do not neglect it.
34 Blessed is the one who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting beside my doors. 35 For whoever finds me finds life and obtains favor from the LORD, 36 but he who fails to find me injures himself; all who hate me love death."
Seasons. Lent.
I have a sarcastic, favorite person in my life - for many decades. He says people do not change. I have a realist who sweeps up and makes all things new to the best of her ability. And has decades where she wandered. Today, news arrived she has regrouped - recovered - regained ground - found her joy - found her compassion.
This passage is perfect for today:
Jesus is recognizing - in this passage - what the view looks like - not as a 33 year old Jesus - as Jesus of Genesis 1 - let there be "Light of mankind. True Light of true light. Light of the world."
Luke 1:
Jesus 77 to give his people the knowledge of salvation
through the forgiveness of their sins,
78 because of the tender mercy of our God,
which the rising sun will come to us from heaven
79 to shine on those living in darkness
and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the path of peace.”
Jesus is very boldly telling, not of the view of a 30 year old. Revealing Jesus as God. Before Abraham. Telling us of His unborn Church in Caesarea.
Proverbs 8 Jesus delights in the children of man. And Jesus has said:
John 2 24 But Jesus did not entrust Himself to them, for He knew all men. 25 He did not need any testimony about man, for He knew what was in a man.
Both viewpoints - the balanced viewpoint of Father God.
This brings us to Lent and our life journey.
How would we survive Lent, if we not adopting Jesus' viewpoint. John 14,15,16 and 17 display deep abiding Joy of Jesus in this life - Jesus provides for us. Jesus is the Future and Good - Jesus wills for us. Jesus is not whitewashing - sugar coating - Jesus is based in facts and actions of His gift of a new Heaven to Father God. A new earth for mankind's voyage to Jesus Christ.
We will all have "Days will come upon you". And Jesus has said, in weeping, He understands depth of grief. He tells us do not mourn as those with no hope. How could we, the Beloved of Jesus, ever watch "The Passion of Christ" without Easter and the healed Jesus moves with Grace.
This voyage. We are under the hope life will not change. And will. We see old people in hospitals not surrounded with loved ones scattered far away. We find Rehabilitation Hospitals are not visiting centers - the elderly fear to visit as if it was contagious. The grieving widow is too sorrowful to bear.
And why should we look at this? Because from this - new life arrives. My mother recovers and as she does, her friends surround her. Her hearing returns. Her hope.
And what about for the younger generations? Even for the very, very famous - set backs can take years to recover from. The stars do not just bounce from marriage to marriage. Child loss is devastating. Child illness is life consuming. The truth is life is not ripe for opportunities all the time. The narrow gate. Why?
To have Gratitude. To have hope. We act as we believe. If we believe God has hope for us - we act accordingly. We appreciate the Gifts God has given us. We do not treat what God has given as something to throw away or disdain. We have Life - abundant Life - appreciating what we have had and what we will have.
We appreciate today. Jesus would have us do what with today? Be Grateful. Have the Fruits of the Spirit. Always. Galatians 6 says 2. Carry each other's burdens. 5. Each one should carry their own load.
We all have an opinion on Tomorrow. In Jesus, we have assurance.
Isaiah 40:31 They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Jesus has shown us His belief, work, Love, endurance, encouragement, wisdom.
"Days will come"
Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Mark 9:23 And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.”
Jesus is God's Delight. Jesus has Joy. In His Blessings, Jesus wants to give Blessings. In studying prayer, people who have had a blessing, are very capable of praying this received blessing on to others. Someone healed from cancer, is very effective in praying for cancer. Someone healed of a heart healing, is capable of praying for hearts. Sharing abilities of Jesus - increases Joy.
Our Abba, as we open our hands to You in Prayer. We consider by grace we have been saved through faith. And this is not our own doing; it is the gift of God. Having gifts, let us use them: in proportion to our faith. And if we know You, Father God, hear us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of You. We will ask for each day, each opportunity, each decision, every day - Father God who gives generously to all without reproach, we will ask for Wisdom and to see Your Willingness and it will be given to Your Beloved. We ask for this opportunity with our gifts of God. "Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” We pray this for our concerns, our lives, our hopes. We pray this over the people we love. The People You have given us. Healing, life, hearing, eyes, provision, opportunities. Hope, Joy, Love. Protection. And for this Nation to love You more. And for the Beloved of God - everywhere to have this of You, their Father. Always we want to Listen to Jesus. Amen.

About scripture-for-today.blogspot.com/
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He has saved all who call upon His name and rely on Him for His Grace. The Scriptures are living & active and are for understanding the Lord Almighty. Biblical readings are chosen from the Ecumenical Christian Church and the Nicene Council, 325 A.D., approved Apocrypha. People remember not just from reading, but by sight and orally- an image has been added as well as audio readings. God tends to link the passages together with fascinates - this blogger, Anne-Laurel Gardere

Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say.
The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation.
The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
