Mark 8 ~ and were satisfied

Mark 8

8 In those days, when again a great crowd had gathered, and they had nothing to eat, he called his disciples to him and said to them,

2 “I have compassion on the crowd, because they have been with me now three days and have nothing to eat. 3 And if I send them away hungry to their homes, they will faint on the way. And some of them have come from far away.”

4 And his disciples answered him, “How can one feed these people with bread here in this desolate place?”

5 And he asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven.”

6 And he directed the crowd to sit down on the ground. And he took the seven loaves, and having given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to set before the people; and they set them before the crowd.

7 And they had a few small fish. And having blessed them, he said that these also should be set before them.

8 And they ate and were satisfied.

And they took up the broken pieces left over, seven baskets full. 9 And there were about four thousand people. And he sent them away. 10 And immediately he got into the boat with his disciples and went to the district of Dalmanutha.

11 The Pharisees came and began to argue with him, seeking from him a sign from heaven to test him. 12 And he sighed deeply in his spirit and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly, I say to you, no sign will be given to this generation.” 13 And he left them, got into the boat again, and went to the other side.

14 Now they had forgotten to bring bread, and they had only one loaf with them in the boat. 15 And he cautioned them, saying, “Watch out; beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.”

16 And they began discussing with one another the fact that they had no bread.

17 And Jesus, aware of this, said to them, “Why are you discussing the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive or understand? Are your hearts hardened? 18 Having eyes do you not see, and having ears do you not hear? And do you not remember? 19 When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?” They said to him, “Twelve.” 20 “And the seven for the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?” And they said to him, “Seven.”

21 And he said to them, “Do you not yet understand?”

22 And they came to Bethsaida. And some people brought to him a blind man and begged him to touch him. 23 And he took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village, and when he had spit on his eyes and laid his hands on him, he asked him, “Do you see anything?” 24 And he looked up and said, “I see people, but they look like trees, walking.” 25 Then Jesus laid his hands on his eyes again; and he opened his eyes, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly. 26 And he sent him to his home, saying, “Do not even enter the village.”

27 And Jesus went on with his disciples to the villages of Caesarea Philippi. And on the way he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that I am?”

28 And they told him, “John the Baptist; and others say, Elijah; and others, one of the prophets.” 29 And he asked them, “But who do you say that I am?”

Peter answered him, “You are the Christ.” 30 And he strictly charged them to tell no one about him.

31 And he began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes and be killed, and after three days rise again. 32 And he said this plainly. And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. 33 But turning and seeing his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said, “Get behind me, Satan! For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.”

34 And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 35 For whoever would save his life[d] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it. 36 For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul? 37 For what can a man give in return for his soul? 38 For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”

If we are going to memorably study the Chapter today, let's fill in some background.

Jesus has shown us in the Chapters of Mark, Jesus has just sparred with the Pharisees and has returned to the 13-mile diameter Sea of Galilee. Jesus sails across this water sometimes 4 times a day. Something to think about during rush hour - just about every single day.

And Jesus has 12 men willing to ride with Him daily. Why? Because Jesus bolted out of the gate - healing all the sick of Capernaum and when Jesus did His first Sermon - the - entire - town - arrived to find out what the news about Jesus would include. This immediately takes us out of traveling in the rush hour realm.

Now, why are the Disciples there? The Disciples of Jesus have found something Psalm 91 has told us about the Messiah and God's Nature

Psalm 91

15 When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.

16 With long life, I will

satisfy him and show him my salvation."

Mark 8

8 And they ate and were satisfied.

Jesus tells us about Father God - seek the Lord with All Your Heart - and He Will Be Found. This is not

'Cause wishin' and hopin' and thinkin' and prayin'
Plannin' and dreamin' his kisses will start
That won't get you into his heart
So if you're thinkin' of how great true love is…

12 men did not leave careers, jobs and life for a song. Which is Utterly Terrifying to the Christian Newbie. Like being Ob-sorbed. What is real - God - does not ask you to be fake. God is God the Almighty. He has created part of creation - called this by name - endowed you with talents and gifts - made you - you. No Tibetan yellow robe and razor will arrive. No tonsure kit will be sent. No clerical collar will be fitted. This is about understanding the God who has created the wonders of the earth - has built the universe. He is Your Father and someday when your mortal body has finished - you will bring your only eternal acreage to His Kingdom (the God who created DNA, gravity, water, mist and ice) and will find out what you did with yourself to be you.

And just like we want our future in-laws of our children to be in the area of good apple - God Himself is going to see if He thinks you'd be an asset in Heaven - His Home. The Horrible God of the Old Testament told His people 'No Human Sacrifice" and Don't go there. No hair shirt is required, but if we make sure our house guest is reputable - surely we can allow God the Almighty to see some work done before the Eternal Ticket is handed over. We let Willy Wonka do this.

Let's think about Satisfaction and the Sea of Galilee.

Jesus had a very certain Job. To let us know the exact nature of God.

And instead of getting on a Great Lake and sailing away - or the Mediterranean. The Atlantic. Jesus is in a giant lake that can indeed, indeed, indeed become as weather laden as any ocean.

The Sea of Galilee is so transparent back even in the robe wearing days - the Crowds could ride around a little and find Jesus. Jesus Wanted to Be Found. Today! Jesus is Humble. He is not bowing and waving and kissing babies. Jesus is telling the Truth and dealing with difficulty. Jesus is living a life not to inflict others, a life that when we live the Great Howling Winds of Life we see Jesus is not living in an Ivory Tower - not married and Prince of Princes and King of Kings. Jesus has dealt with taxes - profound medical problems and angry people. Jesus displays loving behavior when profound gratitude comes His way. Not going soppy to wet toast.

Jesus, like Father God, being 'One', deals with us all having Glimpses of Heaven. The Disciples are there expecting long-range benefits. But Jesus has so far and a 'Way' left the Disciples behind - they are thinking they are going to blow up and not obtain the long-range benefits. Most of the time the disciples are in awe and confused what they do that makes them necessary. Making them more human and giving us a relief - we might have had our ideas a little more together. The Disciples are really us. What will we do requiring God to need us? Instead, we find the Fatherly Jesus has His Disciples as adopted Children. In fact, the later letters of Loyal Beloved Disciple John - address us as His Children.

And in a society really having heart-warming aspects to still make God adore us - God the Father adores us - adoring our families and children. We see Jesus finds us His Beloved.

Jesus even displays humor to tell the man, "Don't even go into the Village!" Jesus really understands real life. Telling us we can have 'Satisfaction' with God Himself and, especially, God having enjoyment of us without fake means to impress a chilly God who is hidden and remote with a demeanor of unhappiness.

Jesus has compassion on us.

“I have compassion." Jesus has enjoyment in having us have satisfaction.

Abba, Father God,

With great pleasure, we ask Your Blessings Daily. You are our Father and we will have Victories and Blessings in our Prayers and Conversations with You.

With Great Satisfaction to pray and have so much hope and encouragement to cover those around us with Jesus. Increasing Life.

Luke 12

31 But seek His kingdom, and these things will be added unto you. 32 Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom.

King Louis was a Saint. St. Augustine was a Saint. All of the Saints tell us of God who knows we cannot complete all 3,000 pages of the Bible. Jesus is our Savior who has completed every dot and every iota of God's Word. His Law. His Word is Law and His Word and Love and Works will be accomplished. We can always say to You, Father God, Thank You for Your Great Will and Purpose. A Hope and Future.

Father of Love. Father of Encouragement. Thank You for Blessing us to hear us. Thank You for the gift of those we Love. Fill them with Your Love and Encouragement. Bless the People You have Given us.

We lift up this Nation to You and Your Living Water. Your Spirit gives Life and gives more than we can ask or imagine. And in filling this Nation - we pray Your blessings on our Churches, communities, employments and states. Asking Your Holy Spirit to Bless all the Nations Trusting in You. Supporting Your Beloved around the earth You call Good yesterday, today and tomorrow.

And in Jesus, we can all say the Amen.

Isaiah 45:8-10 ~ And righteousness spring up with it. I, the LORD, have created it

Isaiah 45:8-10

Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit,

And righteousness spring up with it. I, the LORD, have created it.

9"Woe to the one who quarrels with his Maker-- An earthenware vessel among the vessels of earth! Will the clay say to the potter, 'What are you doing?' Or the thing you are making say, 'He has no hands '? 10"Woe to him who says to a father, 'What are you begetting?'

How will we reconcile the 10 times the Lord, our Father Almighty God, found His creation good in Genesis 1 and 2 with 1 John 5 - overcoming the world and the power of evil of the world? We have to fully be aware no Word of God is void or out-of-date.

Psalm 24:1
The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein

Who is this King of glory?
The LORD of hosts,
he is the King of glory! Selah

Philippians 4:4

Rejoice in the Lord always;
again I will say,
         Rejoice.

1 Corinthians 10:26
For the earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

One aspect of God's Good News -
there is no expiration date to the Promises of God.

God gave His Only Son, Jesus, for the world to be saved in Jesus Christ.

Lamentations 3:22-23

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases
His mercies never come to an end
they are new every morning
great is Your faithfulness.

How will we reconcile John telling us God overcomes the world and the world is evil.

Romans 12 is one of the Strongholds the Holy Spirit has given us through God's Paul.

Romans 12

1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

John was one of the most personal witnesses to the sacrifice of the blind see, the lame walk and the deaf hear. John saw the Transfiguration. John witnessed the spear going into Jesus lifeless. John watched as if a sword had pierced the Mother of Jesus' soul. John would never again conform to the world. Discerning all John's life the miracles of Jesus.

3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. 4 For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 7 if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; 8 the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.

The measure of faith given to one man to stand all the terror surrounding Good Friday and the Son of God. John's gifts and his generosity. The cheerfulness leading John to be alive from the exile on Patmos to the timing of Revelation 1 - mathematically 63 years. John had to have incredible proportion of faith from witnessing the sacrifice of God to the Goodness of Father God.

9 Let love be genuine.
Abhor what is evil;
hold fast to what is good.

10 Love one another with brotherly affection.
Outdo one another in showing honor. 1

11 Do not be slothful in zeal,
be fervent in spirit,
serve the Lord.

12 Rejoice in hope,
be patient in tribulation,
be constant in prayer.

13 Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.

To comprehend John's witness and to understand his discernment, we truly must:

15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.

16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly.Never be wise in your own sight. 17 Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. 18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. 19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord." 20 To the contrary, "if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head."

John's long life example for the first century A.D. and the beginning of the 2nd century A.D.:

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Father God,

We grow toward Jesus. The fire of Your Presence in us.

The Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought,
 but the Spirit himself intercedes for us
with groanings too deep for words.

And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit,
because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

And we know that for those who love God
all things work together
for good,
for those who are called according to his purpose.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?

Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.

Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?

In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. for I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Blessed be The Lord God Almighty!!! You are the Song within us.

We pray this blessing upon ourselves, our families, our friends, the People God has given. We pray for the health of those who pray for this. We pray for an easier Christmas and for things around us to halt in their brokenness and put on the harmony of Love.

We pray for the Nation. We rejoice around us in those in Good News. And believe God is in control of all things. We are covered in His mercy as we believe and put our lives in His Grace, Love and Mercy. We will look to Jesus, with hope.

Amen. And Amen and Amen.

Psalm 104 ~ Lord my God, You are very great

The Temple was Built For Jesus Christ the Lord

Psalm 104

1 Praise the Lord, my soul.

Lord my God, you are very great;
you are clothed with splendor and majesty.

2 The Lord wraps himself in light as with a garment;
he stretches out the heavens like a tent
3 and lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters.

He makes the clouds his chariot
and rides on the wings of the wind.
4 He makes winds his messengers,
flames of fire his servants.

5 He set the earth on its foundations;
it can never be moved.
6 You covered it with the watery depths as with a garment;
the waters stood above the mountains.

7 But at your rebuke the waters fled,
at the sound of your thunder they took to flight;
8 they flowed over the mountains,
they went down into the valleys,
to the place you assigned for them.

9 You set a boundary they cannot cross;
never again will they cover the earth.

10 He makes springs pour water into the ravines;
it flows between the mountains.
11 They give water to all the beasts of the field;
the wild donkeys quench their thirst.

12 The birds of the sky nest by the waters;
they sing among the branches.

13 He waters the mountains from his upper chambers;
the land is satisfied by the fruit of his work.

14 He makes grass grow for the cattle,
and plants for people to cultivate—
bringing forth food from the earth:
15 wine that gladdens human hearts,
oil to make their faces shine,
and bread that sustains their hearts.

16 The trees of the Lord are well watered,
the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.
17 There the birds make their nests;
the stork has its home in the junipers.
18 The high mountains belong to the wild goats;
the crags are a refuge for the hyrax.

19 He made the moon to mark the seasons,
and the sun knows when to go down.
20 You bring darkness, it becomes night,
and all the beasts of the forest prowl.
21 The lions roar for their prey
and seek their food from God.
22 The sun rises, and they steal away;
they return and lie down in their dens.
23 Then people go out to their work,
to their labor until evening.

 24 How many are your works, Lord!
In wisdom you made them all;
the earth is full of your creatures.
25 There is the sea, vast and spacious,
teeming with creatures beyond number—
living things both large and small.
26 There the ships go to and fro,
and Leviathan, which you formed to frolic there.

27 All creatures look to you
to give them their food at the proper time.
28 When you give it to them,
they gather it up;
when you open your hand,
they are satisfied with good things.
29 When you hide your face,
they are terrified;
when you take away their breath,
they die and return to the dust.
30 When you send your Spirit,
they are created,
and you renew the face of the ground.

31 May the glory of the Lord endure forever;
may the Lord rejoice in his works—
32 he who looks at the earth, and it trembles,
who touches the mountains, and they smoke.

33 I will sing to the Lord all my life;
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
34 May my meditation be pleasing to him,
as I rejoice in the Lord.
35 But may sinners vanish from the earth
and the wicked be no more.

Praise the Lord, my soul!

Praise the Lord!

Jeremiah arrived to tear down or build up?

Jeremiah 1:1-10

1 The words of Jeremiah, the son of Hilkiah, one of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin, 2 to whom the word of the Lord came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign. 3 It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, and until the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah, the son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the captivity of Jerusalem in the fifth month.

4 Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
and before you were born I consecrated you;
I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

6 Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.”

But the Lord said to me,

“Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’;
for to all to whom I send you, you shall go,
and whatever I command you, you shall speak.
8 Do not be afraid of them,
for I am with you to deliver you,
declares the Lord.”

9 Then the Lord put out his hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me,

“Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.
10 See, I have set you this day over nations and over kingdoms,
to pluck up and to break down,
to destroy and to overthrow,
to build and to plant.”

No one would have ever have taken up the career of Jeremiah willingly.
Except...God - is the foundation of Jeremiah.
A man of God with a desire to please Father God - a message of a hope and a future.

Abraham also believed God and went traveling far from all he knew. Without a computer, a map or even a compass. He just went forth into the Plan of God. Abraham became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith. God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared for them a Kingdom of Jesus.

Hebrews 11
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2 For by it the people of old received their commendation. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.

32 And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets— 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. 35 Women received back their dead by resurrection. Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might rise again to a better life. 36 Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37 They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were killed with the sword. They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated— 38 of whom the world was not worthy—wandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

39 And all these, though commended through their faith, did not receive what was promised, 40 since
God had provided something better for us,
that apart from us
they should not be made perfect.

Father God,
Nothing in this life could be greater that Salvation.
You would have us to live with us where You Live, Move and Have Your Being.

Nothing we could ever do or say could ever repay the Gift of Jesus.

You opened up Your arms to us. And made the Victory.
You are Unblemished, Holy, Completely Loving.
You are Love.

Apart from You, Father God - we will not be made perfect.

I have seen my Grandmother Elliott in Heaven and I understand Thee
to fill us with the fulfillment of You, God. You, as Father, have wiped every tear from their eyes. No more death, mourning. crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. The dwelling place of mankind is with Father God.

My cup runneth over. Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, as I will pray for my loved ones and the people You have given me all my days in Expectation of You. You have willingly answered to Glory what my Grandmother Anita prayed for and shown her faith which in turn fed the next generations. Thank You.  I bless You and Thank You Father. All of mankind will bow and call upon You in Faith, You have said.

Dwell within us Father God and we will see more Heaven and Your Good will done upon this earth. Amen in Jesus.

1 Kings 21 ~ And the Word of the LORD came

So you have 6 boys all the time - you and your husband do Youth Ministry for 10 years. And one day, after you've moved to the Burbs - you find feed stores are interesting. They have things like horse halters and wallaby. Then you find all the boys want to go to the Feed Store every time you need Dog Food. And eventually, living on a 3-acre pond, you find out in March the feed store sells Ducklings. For some outrageous price - something like $5 per duckling.

Pretty soon.

Owen,  Babygirl, Sweet Pea (Rouen), SweetMamma and Father Drake (Rouen - named after a Priest who was always in an Ivy League Lovely looking vest and was a lovely, lovely man.)

You are going to the feed store more to get your domesticated pets - Deer Corn. And the kids pile in the car with you. At feeding times - names of the ducks are known - and all feed the ducks Deer Corn from their hands.

These are Hand Raised Domesticated Duck Pets.

And in the adventure - you learn a wounded duck will improve with the protein found in dried cat food - this floats on the water and will be gobbled up. Baby duck food looks like cat litter and definitely is not - baby duck food - sold at the Feed Store!!! And ducks who are very little do well with fortified human cereal in a pinch. Not white bread. Ducks abhor french fries as fake food. Hmm.

One fine day you and Dee are driving down the street - your sons are in 3rd grade and 6th grade and and and - you find the 5th grader on the next street has two PVC pipes and is killing your duck named Captain Sam. You jump from an almost moving car and apprehend the fiend, who is taking two sprinkler pipes to try to decapitate your very confused duck. The 5th grader is absolutely terrified to be apprehended by a very angry adult while trying to kill a small animal and being caught red-handed. The angry adult captures the 2 PVC pipes, promises their 'Mother Will Be Called and We Will See What Good Use the PVC Pipes will be put to and if the Duck dies' - the world is going to arrive to find out 'Why.' And I then proceed to jump in the car and rush off to a Diocesan Meeting of Laity. (Where, now, we are very surprised to realize the Bishop with vim and zest has just died in his mid-80s of old age. Time is astonishing.)

Returning home, (back in the day) taking deep breaths the Mother of said fiend is called. Astonishingly - - -  the Mother lies and defends every act of the child denying - all. Until the witness of the car is going to be produced. Utterly and completely - astonishing. My brother rings me and I tell him the whole story in panoramic detail with every grisly detail - saying, "And that's not all, it wasn't just the words of lying and denial by a parent, 'It was the way she said it." And as I pause to take a very heated breathe, my brother, the Assistant D.A., one of many in Dallas, says, "Right, right, right. Classic example of how to raise a criminal. See it all the time in the sentencing phase. You can stop convincing me now."

Enter the Biblical:

1 Kings 21

1 Now Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard in Jezreel, beside the palace of Ahab king of Samaria. 2 And after this Ahab said to Naboth, "Give me your vineyard, that I may have it for a vegetable garden, because it is near my house, and I will give you a better vineyard for it; or, if it seems good to you, I will give you its value in money." 3 But Naboth said to Ahab, "The LORD forbid that I should give you the inheritance of my fathers." 4 And Ahab went into his house vexed and sullen because of what Naboth the Jezreelite had said to him, for he had said, "I will not give you the inheritance of my fathers." And he lay down on his bed and turned away his face and would eat no food.

5 But Jezebel his wife came to him and said to him, "Why is your spirit so vexed that you eat no food?" 6 And he said to her, "Because I spoke to Naboth the Jezreelite and said to him, 'Give me your vineyard for money, or else, if it please you, I will give you another vineyard for it.' And he answered, 'I will not give you my vineyard.'" 7 And Jezebel his wife said to him, "Do you now govern Israel? Arise and eat bread and let your heart be cheerful; I will give you the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite." 8 So she wrote letters in Ahab's name and sealed them with his seal, and she sent the letters to the elders and the leaders who lived with Naboth in his city.

 9 And she wrote in the letters, "Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth at the head of the people. 10 And set two worthless men opposite him, and let them bring a charge against him, saying, 'You have cursed God and the king.' Then take him out and stone him to death." 11 And the men of his city, the elders and the leaders who lived in his city, did as Jezebel had sent word to them. As it was written in the letters that she had sent to them, 12 they proclaimed a fast and set Naboth at the head of the people. 13 And the two worthless men came in and sat opposite him. And the worthless men brought a charge against Naboth in the presence of the people, saying, "Naboth cursed God and the king." So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death with stones. 14 Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, "Naboth has been stoned; he is dead." 15 As soon as Jezebel heard that Naboth had been stoned and was dead, Jezebel said to Ahab, "Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give you for money, for Naboth is not alive, but dead." 16 And as soon as Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, Ahab arose to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it.

17 Then the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, 18 "Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, who is in Samaria; behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, where he has gone to take possession. 19 And you shall say to him, 'Thus says the LORD, "Have you killed and also taken possession?"' And you shall say to him, 'Thus says the LORD: "In the place where dogs licked up the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick your own blood."'" 20 Ahab said to Elijah, "Have you found me, O my enemy?" He answered, "I have found you, because you have sold yourself to do what is evil in the sight of the LORD.

21 Behold, I will bring disaster upon you. I will utterly burn you up, and will cut off from Ahab every male, bond or free, in Israel. 22 And I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the anger to which you have provoked me, and because you have made Israel to sin. 23 And of Jezebel the LORD also said, 'The dogs shall eat Jezebel within the walls of Jezreel.' 24 Anyone belonging to Ahab who dies in the city the dogs shall eat, and anyone of his who dies in the open country the birds of the heavens shall eat."

25 (There was none who sold himself to do what was evil in the sight of the LORD like Ahab, whom Jezebel his wife incited. 26 He acted very abominably in going after idols, as the Amorites had done, whom the LORD cast out before the people of Israel.) 27 And when Ahab heard those words, he tore his clothes and put sackcloth on his flesh and fasted and lay in sackcloth and went about dejectedly. 28 And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, 29 "Have you seen how Ahab has humbled himself before me? Because he has humbled himself before me, I will not bring the disaster in his days; but in his son's days I will bring the disaster upon his house."

Making you realize -  The Word of the Lord is Mercy. Realizing -
the 5th grader fiend - is going to have the opportunity to be forgiven of God. And neighbors.

Ahab. Now we understand where this idea of privilege and entitlement comes from. "Our Dudley, Sugar-Sweetie, surely would never ever want a vineyard or to kill the duck with PVC Pipes." And when confronted with PVC pipes and the driver of the car witnesses - changes the words to - "Our Dudley, Sugar-Sweetie, was practicing stick waving and nowhere near the duck." Nunchucks? "Certainly." Certainly would kill a duck and weapons should be discouraged in the hands of 5th graders near domesticated pets. Dead pets bring the authorities. "Well - La Tea Da." And La tea da brings juv delinquency. Daddy is an attorney. Brother works for Federal Judge and is an Assistant DA. All PVC pipe is graciously said and shown, in time, to be removed from the home.

There is turning the other cheek and then there is community calling for standards of truth and mercy bringing peace to all.

We all bear responsibility in ethics. For a good reason. You don't want it to be your pet. You don't want it to be greater damage than a pet. Fortunately, we live in a time where people will speak up when gross injustice is done. I was told and found out the story of the Mother who would be so cruel as to raise her child to not have respect for others. And in mercy and truth, peace was found. Pets were saved. No harm came to other living beings. Don't duck out. Good Samaritans can be ducks. But don't duck out.

When we confront with honesty. When we are polite. When we are gracious and truthful. When all bear witness to the truth. Think of how far - we prevented harm. The child was then said to have been seen by the across-the-street-neighbor-additionally who said she would surely not want her child to be part of a group little boys, a naughty and wrongful death of a duck. The neighbor far down the street said this wasn't the first time and she spoke to the Mother of the PVC pipe 5th grader about honesty and the need to stop violence. The 5th grader was seen to become polite to adults. Making him a better grown up. Other pets were saved. And the mother realized that honesty is required in communities. The child and the child across the street had conversations about behavior and friendship. New Standards were obtained. Harm was avoided to other children.

The Good Samaritan is created by people who are gracious and honest. Allowing the child not to be subject to glares. Allowing the mother the time and dignity to respect others and be respected.

A team is established with compassion. And all rejoice.

Abba, Father God,

The Family of Believers is the Body of Christ. Asking You for a Blessing!

1 Timothy 4:12
Set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

Proverbs 16:9
The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.

Hebrews 13:7
The word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith. (No Jeffrey Dahmer.)

John 13:13-17
You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you. Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

2 Timothy 2:15
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

Giving Mercy and Dignity.

Matthew 5:7
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

For all who jumped in to behave with truth and mercy.

Romans 12:8
The one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.

Remembering the Promises of God Himself to us every day. To our loved ones. The People He has given to our care and mercy. The communities, jobs, schools, continuing to the Nation. Blessing the nations who Trust in God. Surrounding our world with Christians gathering to rejoice in God Actively Answering Prayer. Daily. God is So Good.

Deuteronomy 31:8
The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

And there's not any reason -- no, not the least--
Why I shouldn't be one too.
They lived not only in ages past,
There are hundreds of thousands still
The world is bright with the joyous saints
Who love to do Jesus' will
You can meet them in school, or in lanes, or at sea,
In church, or in trains, or in shops, or at tea,
For the saints of God are folk just like me,
And I mean to be one too.

And in The Word of Father God Manifest, we say our Amen in His Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
