Psalm 95 ~ Today

Psalm 95

 Oh come, let us sing to the Lord;
let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!
2 Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving;
let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!

3 For the Lord is a great God,
and a great King above all gods.
4 In his hand are the depths of the earth;
the heights of the mountains are his also.
5 The sea is his, for he made it,
and his hands formed the dry land.

6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!
7 For he is our God,
and we are the people of his pasture,
and the sheep of his hand.

Today,

if you hear his voice,
8 do not harden your hearts,

as at Meribah,
as on the day at Massah in the wilderness,
9 when your fathers put me to the test
and put me to the proof, though they had seen my work.
10 For forty years I loathed that generation
and said, “They are a people who go astray in their heart,
and they have not known my ways.”
11 Therefore I swore in my wrath,
“They shall not enter my rest.”

How much do we really believe the Scriptures, the Bible, the Word of God, Jesus?

God has something to say Today.
Unlike the movie, God is the same Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.

Moses and Jeremiah had a few things in common. Both Moses and Jeremiah said that the people of Israel would say the Exodus never took place. And... Moses and Jeremiah were right. Part of the reason Jeremiah was in David's Official Davidic Line Palace for Davidic Kings in the prison - Jeremiah told the people, no, they were not from south of Israel, they had been slaves in Egypt.

Who has studied today? Many millenniums.

Psalm 95:7
For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, the sheep under His care. Today, if you hear His voice,

Hebrews 3:7
Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you hear His voice,

Hebrews 3:15
As it has been said: "Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, as you did in the rebellion."

What does the first video above look like to me? This is the line of people coming to Jesus in His Kingdom. These are the people coming to the 12 Gates of Heaven. One Giant Pearl for each of God's Gates left eternally open for His Children and their prayers.

And this video is the people who would like to discuss Jesus in their own time:

The Valley of Decision. What will your life lead others to believe? Did you Believe Jesus?

Joel knows about Today.

Joel 3:14
Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.

One generation tells the next generation.

Psalm 145

4 One generation shall commend your works to another,

and shall declare your mighty acts.

5 On the glorious splendor of your majesty,

and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.

6 They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds,

and I will declare your greatness.

7 They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness

and shall sing aloud of your righteousness.

Mount Arbel near Capernaum, Israel - the Hometown of Jesus Christ - looks to me like the dream I had speaking to my Aunt Clarice and finding out as the phone rang, the next morning - we had really had a conversation in front of God's Gates.

Is Jesus really filled with Joy yesterday, Today and tomorrow? Jesus said in John 14,15 and 16 Life is Joy. This Life. Eternity today life. And Life Eternal joy. Blessing seekers.

Today Psalm 145

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord

let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!

2 Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving

let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!

Hebrews 10:23-25

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering,
for He
who promised
is faithful.

24 And let us consider

how to stir up one another to love
and good works,  not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another,
and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Our Abba,

Let us care deeply, love generously, forgive with joy and pray daily.

We are Blessing Seekers. We place our lives in the hands of Gracious and Merciful Jesus Christ. The Longings of our heart and our cares are known to You, Father.

Matthew 9:9-13 ~ rose

Father God, Thank You for the joy in remembering to sing Songs to You.
Especially the Psalms.

Matthew 9:9-13

As Jesus passed on from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him, “Follow me.”

And he rose and followed him.

10 And as Jesus reclined at table in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and were reclining with Jesus and his disciples.

And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?

But when he heard it, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. 13 Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Matthew gave Jesus a feast in Matthew's own home. Calling his friends and the people he knew needed Jesus, not tiptoeing around Jesus and being politically correct. Jesus did not just endure life. Jesus was known to pick up children and eat and drink. Matthew was  Pleasing Jesus to have a party, celebrating life. Honoring Him. Jesus brought people JOY and Wonder. Loving them.

Give us this Day! And at the end of the day, rest, renew and restore in Jesus.

Jesus was on the path of a huge sacrifice. Jesus could be happy in all circumstances. And yet Jesus could sleep during a storm, enjoy a meal and be given a party. Jesus trusted God and His Word. We should as well.

Matthew 6:34
So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today.

Psalm 118:24
The LORD has done it this very day;

let us rejoice today
and be glad.

Psalm 13:5
I trust in your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.

Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding

Psalm 16:9
Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure

Matthew 11:28-30
Come to me, all of you who are tired and have heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Accept my teachings and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit, and you will find rest for your lives. The teaching that I ask you to accept is easy; the load I give you to carry is light.

Psalm 28
Blessed be the LORD, because He has heard the voice of my supplication. 7The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him. 8 The LORD is their strength, And He is a saving defense to His anointed

John 2:10
and said, "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink, but you have saved the best till now."

This was Jesus' Love:

John 7

37 On the last day of the feast, the great day,

Jesus stood up and cried out,

"If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.
Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, 'Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.'"

This he said about the Spirit of God living in us.

Abba, our Father,

We ask for Your Blessings.

Thank You for the gift of Psalm 97 today. To read of Your Glory and lightning around the world to see the grass fire charred and harmless next to our traveling car. To be swept in Your Glory. Thank You.

To have living water of Jesus flow unendingly as Love. To be encouraged and helped as we do Your Willing Plan You do have for us all.

To know as Jesus spoke of Living Water and gave You a new Heaven and a new earth, we find Your Throne in Your Kingdom by walking beside the shining water leading to Your Home.

Flowing, filling, seeping in all areas of our heart and with all our soul and with all our mind, for ourselves and the ones we Love. Filling us.

We are born of Water and Spirit and enter the Kingdom of God.

As we are on Your Path, we ask Your help to stay on the Path. We ask Your Love to know the daily steps. And looking back on our lives, knowing we present our Soul to You.

The Blessings of Jesus healing us and holding us. His Good will and Healing be present in peace
for His Mercy. Love and Answered prayer for Elliott, Dee and our prayers.

Blessings to know Jesus and Your Word. To be comforted by You. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Blessed in Jesus and His Name flow over our Nation and to the believers, today and tomorrow of the world.  To all of His Children all over His Good Creation.

Amen.

Psalm 128 ~ Blessed

Psalm 128

Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord,
who walks in his ways!
2 You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands;
you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you.

3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine
within your house;
your children will be like olive shoots
around your table.
4 Behold, thus shall the man be blessed
who fears the Lord.

5 The Lord bless you from Zion!
May you see the prosperity of Jerusalem
all the days of your life!
6 May you see your children's children!
Peace be upon Israel!

Luke 2:25-27

25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon,
and this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel,
and the Holy Spirit was upon him.
26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit
that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
27 And he came in the Spirit into the Temple,
and when the parents brought in the child Jesus,
to do for him according to the custom of the Law

Simeon's outlook on being a Child of God: Believing the Holy Spirit is very real and part of him and his life. The conviction not to see death and to see Jesus Christ. To believe we worship God and are filled with His Spirit. To do for Jesus what the Word of God breathes and teaches.

God's Word, every Word of God's is Law. So much so this Universe is upheld by His Word. His Word is Jesus Christ made manifest. The Light of the world is given to us by Father God. The Light of mankind is placed in us by His Word and Steadfast Love.

We Live by every Word of God. How rich and marvelous is to realize just in describing Simeon, we are Blessed.

Colossians 3
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly,
in all wisdom completely fill your lives, while you use all your wisdom to teach and instruct each other. With thankful hearts, sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.

The Word of God is Living and Active. Before Jesus, Moses. Moses told of his encounter with God Himself :

Acts 7:38
This is the one who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the angel who spoke to him at Mount Sinai, and with our fathers. He received living oracles to give to us.

Our God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Genesis 1 to Revelation 22, a river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

The Living Water of Jesus nourishing and enfolding on the road to Emmaus, today, and in our lives to have His Word live and move and dwell within.

Luke 24:32
They said to each other, “Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?”

John 5:17
Jesus said to them,
"My Father is always at his work to this very day,
 and I too am working."

Abba,

We give You Heartfelt and Great Thanks for Your Blessing. Every day.

For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him, and through Him
to reconcile to Himself all things,
whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through the blood of His cross.

Thank You, Jesus. For the many years, this precious Loves is warm and loving, Your interesting joy in our lives.

The people who love Jesus give You Thanks. We ask Your Mercy and Love upon all Your children  and creation across the world. Safety and comfort.

You Blessed us, Father, with Love and affection. Many, many good years to continue stretching to and a peaceful ending to Life Eternal in Jesus.

Thank You, Thank You for answering our prayers. You sent Love to live with us. Amen Jesus.

Psalm 145 ~ His Greatness is unsearchable

Image result for top of hills of capernaum

Mount Arbel overlooks the Sea of Galilee and nearby is Capernaum.
Jesus chose Capernaum as His adult Hometown.

Psalm 145

A Song of Praise. Of David.

I will extol you, my God and King,
and bless your name forever and ever.
2 Every day I will bless you
and praise your name forever and ever.
3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised,
and his greatness is unsearchable.

8 The Lord is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
9 The Lord is good to all,
and his mercy is over all that he has made.

10 All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord,
and all your saints shall bless you!
11 They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom
and tell of your power

12 to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds,
and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures throughout all generations.

The Lord is faithful in all his words
and kind in all his works.
14 The Lord upholds all who are falling
and raises up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all look to you,
and you give them their food in due season.
16 You open your hand;
you satisfy the desire of every living thing.

17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and kind in all his works.

18 The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
19 He fulfills the desire of those who fear him;
he also hears their cry and saves them.
20 The Lord preserves all who love him,
but all the wicked he will destroy.

21 My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord,
and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.

We Thank You, Abba, we rest all of our cares with You, Father God.

Thank you for Your Help . Every Day.

Abba, You have taught us to look what is around us and Rejoice. When in Rome do as the Romans. Rejoicing in what we have.  Thanking You for the goodness of the pond at home, the young man staying at our house, Our sons held in Jesus safely. Thank You Father God. Resting my injured eye and toe. Continued healing for all who have asked for prayer.

Expecting each morning to see Your Mercies Renew.

Seeing life unfold Goodness of being Your Creation. 11 Times You said Life is Good. So many times - we will believe, Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow - You and Your Father are at work. And we will work to see the good around us and Bless You for what You bring into our Life.

We rest all in the Love Jesus gives us.

And rejoice. Amen in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 145:17-21 ~ my mouth will speak the praise of the Lord

Roman roads last. For Good Reason.  The details are serious.

Psalm 145:17-21

17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and kind in all his works.

18 The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.

19 He fulfills the desire of those who fear him;
he also hears their cry and saves them.

20 The Lord preserves all who love him,
but all the wicked he will destroy.

21 My mouth will speak the praise of the Lord,
and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.

Acts 22:17-29

17 “When I  (Paul) had returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, I fell into a trance 18 and saw him saying to me, ‘Make haste and get out of Jerusalem quickly, because they will not accept your testimony about me.’

19 And I said, ‘Lord, they themselves know that in one synagogue after another I imprisoned and beat those who believed in you. 20 And when the blood of Stephen your witness was being shed, I myself was standing by and approving and watching over the garments of those who killed him.’

21 And he said to me, ‘Go, for I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’”

22 Up to this word they listened to him. Then they raised their voices and said, “Away with such a fellow from the earth! For he should not be allowed to live.”

23 And as they were shouting and throwing off their cloaks and flinging dust into the air, 24 the tribune ordered him to be brought into the barracks, saying that he should be examined by flogging, to find out why they were shouting against him like this.

25 But when they had stretched him out for the whips, Paul said to the centurion who was standing by, “Is it lawful for you to flog a man who is a Roman citizen and uncondemned?”

26 When the centurion heard this, he went to the tribune and said to him, “What are you about to do? For this man is a Roman citizen.”

27 So the tribune came and said to him, “Tell me, are you a Roman citizen?”

And he said, “Yes.”

28 The tribune answered, “I bought this citizenship for a large sum.”

Paul said, “But I am a citizen by birth.”

29 So those who were about to examine him withdrew from him immediately, and the tribune also was afraid, for he realized that Paul was a Roman citizen and that he had bound him.

There is a real seriousness to Roman road planning. The effects 2,000 years and more are rather amazing. More Roman road was discovered this last year in Israel. It was a High School Jewish Youth group spending the summer discovering about 2.6 miles of Roman road complete with coins of antiquity. The road was near, but not exactly to/from Bethlehem and went to Jerusalem.

So what are the details other than what we easily see?

How is God building these events in History?

These are the years that a donkey is well considered. Donkeys are amazingly affectionate and loyal.

Horses were more dramatic. To join the Roman army, social and wealth ranks were considered. The Gospels and early Acts mention Centurions. But a Military Tribune is specially appointed. A member of the equestrian rank in society. Each Legion had 6 Tribunes appointed. Each legion was composed of about 5,500 men, all professional soldiers who signed on for terms lasting 25 years.

In each Legion, ranked above the centurions were six tribunes. These were men from the equestrian class, the second highest class in the Roman aristocracy, underneath the senatorial class. One tribune was senior in rank to the other five, and was second in command of the legion; he was called the tribunus laticlavius, and was appointed to the post by the provincial governor. Many times Tribunes were about to run for election in the Roman Senate.

There was no Legion stationed in Jerusalem, Pontius Pilate was only the rank of Equestrian so he could not garrison a full legion under his command. Jerusalem was garrisoned by Cohors II Italica, it was only one Auxiliary cohort. Another, probably, at Caesarea.

Each of these auxiliary units would have been commanded by a tribune. There are 10 cohorts in a Legion and Judea had two cohorts.

Other opinions state: two cohorts were based in Jerusalem, one at the Antonia fortress and the other at the old palace, with another of the cohorts being based at Caesarea. Probably there was only two tribunes. When a legion is missing two Tribunes to auxiliary units - trouble is probably expected.

Judea was a suburb to Syria.

Our God is certainly making the Path of Paul memorable. The details are serious.

God has known for some time, Jesus revealed, The Church of Jesus was going to begin in Rome.
So Paul is meeting probably two Tribunes of the Equestrian Rank, since Pilate is equestrian. - these tribunes will probably run for the Roman Senate. In sixteen years, Claudius and Nero.

Tiberius Claudius Nero. Stepson of Augustus, (14–37)
Caligula, grandnephew of Tiberius (37–41) first Emperor god of Roman claims, few real records of Caligula survived, but these were unfavorable mostly.
Claudius, uncle of Caligula (41–54)
Nero, stepson of Claudius (54–68)

Christians started having problems with Judea during Caligula declaring himself a Deity. "Caligula" (meaning "little [soldier's] boot", the diminutive form of caliga) from his father's soldiers. You can bet the Tribunes were asked about their experiences. Three historians record there was a long letter from Pilate to Claudius about Jesus on Good Friday. Lost in history.

God is making sure Paul is going to meet Governor Felix. Governor Felix is correctly called Claudius Felix. His brother was a slave, brought up to freedman to be Secretary of the Treasury for Emperor Claudius. Felix is freed by Claudius and supported by him. He marries Herod Agrippa's daughter, who divorced a king to marry him.

What would seem to Paul's friends as a really incredible disaster is God's Plan.

Mark 4:39-41

39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

41 They were terrified and asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”

Paul met several storms. One was a shipwreck. All of the storms were in God's Plan.

Abba,

When Jesus went with Peter, Andrew and Phillip

Mark 8
22 And they came to Bethsaida. And some people brought to him a blind man and begged him to touch him. 23 And he took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village, and when he had spit on his eyes and laid his hands on him, he asked him, “Do you see anything?” 24 And he looked up and said, “I see people, but they look like trees, walking.” 25 Then Jesus laid his hands on his eyes again; and he opened his eyes, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.

26 And he sent him to his home, saying, “Do not even go to village.”

Jesus certainly was healing the man to avoid trouble. We do well to seek peace! With Your Help we will find Peace!

Father God, we ask You to Give us This Day all our days! For Your Kingdom, Power and Glory!

We Thank You for the Joy Jesus has given us to ask more of Your Good Will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven!

We would ask Your Blessings every day. To cover us and those we love in Jesus and His Name. We would have The Living Water of Jesus flow over all those You have given us. Believing You will send the Holy Spirit to sweep our Nation in Your Love and care as we Trust in You. Knowing Your Beloved Children pray in the Name of Jesus covering Your Good Creation daily.

In Jesus we will Rejoice. Amen.

Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
